My Ex’s White Moonlight Omega Has a Crush on Me - Chapter 20
The room fell into an eerie silence.
Qin Siyu sat behind the table, her lips parting slightly, but when she met Ji Tanyue’s icy expression, she found herself unable to utter a word.
In the corner, the incense burner continued to emit billowing white smoke, a reminder that the scene in the private room was far from static.
The cloying scent was nauseating. Ji Tanyue’s brows furrowed tightly as she slowly lowered her head, her face pale.
Fragmented memories flashed before her eyes, vivid, chaotic, and depraved scenes.
Her entire body trembled uncontrollably.
Cheng Lou noticed her distress and quickly poured tea over the incense burner, extinguishing it.
Ji Tanyue took several deep breaths before barely managing to lift her head.
Chao Wan stood with her back to the door, her outer garment mostly removed, revealing delicate, flushed shoulders glistening with a thin layer of sweat from the heat.
Her breathing was uneven and hazy, her gaze clouded by intoxication.
Ji Tanyue pressed her lips together.
In her high heels, she strode heavily across the room, removing the soft fur shawl draped over her arm and wrapping it securely around Chao Wan.
After completing this action, she lifted her gaze and slowly scanned everyone in the private room.
“So, it seems everyone is having quite the enjoyable time,” she remarked, her tone even but laced with sarcasm.
Dead silence.
No one dared to offer an explanation, the scene before them spoke for itself.
Qin Siyu snapped out of her daze and stood up. “Teacher Ji, it’s not what you think…”
Ji Tanyue’s gaze swept past Qin Siyu as if she were nothing but air, ignoring her entirely.
She cast a silent glance at the attendant beside her.
Soon, someone nervously brought over an unopened box of suppressant patches.
Chao Wan’s breaths were hot and unsteady. Startled by the sudden cool touch as her disheveled hair was brushed aside, she opened her eyes in alarm, like a frightened bird.
Her damp eyes reflected Ji Tanyue’s blurred silhouette.
“If you don’t want to cause trouble for others, behave and put on the suppressant patches,” Ji Tanyue said softly.
The faces of everyone in the room turned ashen.
It wasn’t Chao Wan causing trouble,it was clear that Ji Tanyue would soon be holding them accountable.
The person who had smugly brought up last night’s hot search topic shifted uneasily, cold sweat dripping down their back.
The fact that Ji Tanyue had condescended to pick up Chao Wan from the extras’ area last night proved their relationship was anything but ordinary.
And tonight, they had dared to make Chao Wan accompany them for drinks. They had truly overstepped.
He glanced at the female agent who had brought Chao Wan.
The woman was even more flustered, her earlier sycophantic expression completely gone, replaced by sheer panic.
Chao Wan obediently nestled into Ji Tanyue’s embrace, her cheeks flushed as she nuzzled against the soft fur shawl Ji Tanyue had provided.
In her dazed state, she felt a cool sensation on the back of her neck, two or three suppressant patches were layered on.
The female Omega who had suggested the drinking punishment watched from a distance, her face pale.
Known for keeping her distance from Alphas, Ji Tanyue had now publicly expressed her preferences in front of so many industry insiders. She was clearly not the OO relationship the gossip columns had claimed.
“Chao Wan will be under my care from now on.”
Sure enough, Ji Tanyue rose slowly, her gaze sweeping over everyone in the room, her voice cold.
“I don’t want anyone giving her a hard time again.”
Her eyes briefly flickered to the incense burner in the corner of the room, a look of disgust crossing her face before she swiftly led Chao Wan away.
“President Qin…” The female Omega, her face pale, turned to Qin Siyu as she watched Ji Tanyue’s retreating figure.
Qin Siyu gritted her teeth, her expression dark.
From start to finish, Ji Tanyue’s gaze had not lingered on her for more than a second.
As if she were nothing but insignificant air.
…
The hotel corridor was sparsely populated, the air carrying a chill brought by the ventilation, yet the breath of the person held loosely in her arms was scorching hot.
Like a soft yet burning cloud.
For some reason, Ji Tanyue’s heartbeat felt weak and fluttery, as if a small brush were gently and unhurriedly stroking it.
Her mind was suddenly flooded with a chaotic mix of suggestive thoughts, and an uncontrollable restlessness piled up in her chest, with no way to vent it.
Especially the faint, sweet scent of pheromones lingering in the air, not her own, but one she had long yearned for.
She wanted to crush this scent, saturate it, until it was completely tainted with her own.
Ji Tanyue knew the reason for this agitation.
From the moment she saw the object emitting white mist in the corner of the private room, she had already begun to lose control of the situation.
Those chaotic, depraved, and nauseating memories surged back.
Like a silent, colorless film, each scene made her tremble in panic, stirring an urge to flee.
Forcing herself to leave the hotel, Ji Tanyue helped Chao Wan into Cheng Lou’s car.
Her expression was hidden in the dim light, unreadable, her breathing heavy, and a buzzing filled her ears.
“Are you okay?” Cheng Lou noticed her unusual state through the rearview mirror and asked, “That incense…”
The woman who had been hanging her head in the rearview mirror suddenly looked up, her phoenix eyes tinged with a seductive hue, narrowing slightly, her expression restrained yet alluring.
She let out a soft, heated breath, as if suppressing something, her voice hoarse: “Don’t mention it.”
Cheng Lou fell silent and closed his mouth.
Ji Tanyue was deliberately restraining herself, but beside her, Chao Wan had already followed the scent and burrowed into her embrace.
The girl’s body was feverishly soft and slick with sweat, letting out faint, choked sobs only the two of them could hear.
“Mm…”
The three layers of suppressant patches on the back of her neck were already soaked through by her pheromones again, about to lose their effect.
The faint, cool, and sweet pheromones, carrying a delectable fragrance, drifted in wisps, driving Ji Tanyue nearly to the brink of losing her sanity.
And it made her intensely jealous.
There was another Alpha in the car, Cheng Lou was one too.
Somehow, Ji Tanyue felt as if someone was encroaching, stealing the already scarce sweet scent in the air.
Moreover, it wasn’t just that. Vivid images from the private room earlier flashed before her eyes once more.
Qin Siyu’s provocative and arrogant face, the incense emitting white smoke, the heated, desire-filled gazes of the crowd…
A sudden wave of nausea hit her, yet her throat was parched with thirst.
Perhaps only someone cool, soft, and sweet, along with the delicate scent she carried, could quench this thirst.
Not long after, the car didn’t head straight to Ji Tanyue’s villa but stopped near a convenience store.
“The scent is too strong,” Cheng Lou said, unaware of the two in the back, lightly fanning the air with his hand. “Are you in your sensitive period? There are no suppressant patches in the car, and there happens to be a convenience store nearby.”
The concentration of Ji Tanyue’s pheromones in the car was gradually rising. Due to the natural repulsion between Alphas, he couldn’t focus on driving, and his temples throbbed with agitation.
Ji Tanyue gripped the beads on her wrist, eyes tightly shut, breathing heavily.
The instinctive hostility between Alphas made her frown.
“You go buy them,” she said, her voice turning cold.
Cheng Lou shot her a glance, somewhat reluctant, and got out of the car with a sour expression.
Ji Tanyue pressed her forehead against the window glass, trying to cool down and extinguish the throbbing desire in her chest.
But clearly, she was the only one trying to hold back.
Chao Wan felt as if she were melting from the heat. A hazy, blinding whiteness enveloped her senses, both in her ears and before her eyes. Her eyes grew moist, only to be quickly dried by the scorching warmth.
The cool, rich fragrance of flowers surrounded her, lingering just out of reach, gradually stirring the suppressed, unbearable emptiness within her.
She bit her lip in frustration, but unable to hold back, a few soft whimpers escaped her lips.
It was like a silent plea.
Boldly, she reached toward the source of the floral scent, her hands meeting a body that was equally soft and feverish.
Unsure of what to do, she could only follow her instincts, clumsily pressing light kisses to the woman’s jaw and earlobe.
Suddenly, her hands were pinned down, and she was pressed against the back seat of the car.
Tears were wiped away, and she saw a crimson hue blooming at the corner of the woman’s lips, as if bitten in restraint, yet more like a rose petal unfurling in the dark.
Beautiful, yet dangerous.
Soon, cascading curls fell, obscuring Chao Wan’s vision.
“Does it hurt?” The woman’s voice was hoarse, yet coaxing and gentle.
Chao Wan, already lost in a daze, sobbed softly and nodded obediently, following her heart.
A chill ran down the nape of her neck as the inhibitor patch was peeled off, soaked in sweet-scented sweat, and carelessly tossed aside.
Then, the woman’s fingertips brushed over her vulnerable gland.
Ji Tanyue leaned down, her lips grazing that hidden spot.
“One bite, and you’ll feel much better.”
