My Boss Transmigrated Into a Maid and I Became Gay - Chapter 39
Lu Ying: !!!
Something was definitely wrong.
While President Jian spoke, she maintained a gentle, soft smile, but the hand that was simply holding Lu Ying’s a moment ago had shifted. Their fingers were now tightly interlaced.
Amidst her surprise, a tidal wave of jealousy erupted in Lu Ying’s heart.
President Jian didn’t know that the “Young Mistress” was actually her! In Lu Ying’s mind, this was the equivalent of her girlfriend holding someone else’s hand right in front of her.
Lu Ying felt like she was being cheated on.
The most infuriating part was that she was being cheated on with herself, so she couldn’t even rightfully blow up.
Unhappy, she tried to wrench her hand out of Jian Qin’s grasp, her eyes shifting to a pale, agitated red. Jian Qin, observing the change, deliberately tightened her grip. “What’s the matter, Miss?”
Lu Ying couldn’t tell the truth. She turned her head away and huffed, “Didn’t you refuse to let me hold your hand the day before yesterday?”
“The day before yesterday?”
Lu Ying: “…”
Crap! What did I just say?!
She hurriedly forced a fake smile, trying to play it off. “I meant… you didn’t let me hold it before. You heard me wrong.”
Jian Qin returned the smile, her eyes unreadable. “Of course, Miss.”
Lu Ying: “…”
Of course, my foot! Nothing is okay!
President Jian was acting very differently from her usual self. Lu Ying had a sudden, sinking feeling of foreboding. The closer they got to the walk-in closet, the stronger that intuition became.
Once they entered the massive closet, Jian Qin finally released her. She moved with uncanny precision, reaching into the depths of the wardrobe to pull out a garment. Lu Ying expected something familiar, but instead, a white lace maxi dress appeared. It was adorned with real pearls and diamonds, heavy to the touch, and came with a belt encrusted with gemstones.
Feeling mentally exhausted, Lu Ying took the dress. She motioned for Jian Qin to turn around while she changed her back to her.
Halfway through, she felt a prickle on the back of her neck.
Lu Ying whipped her head around. The person who was supposed to be facing the wall had turned back. Jian Qin stood there, hands folded neatly in front of her, looking humble and submissive, but the curl of her lips made Lu Ying’s heart skip a beat in panic.
“You… you… why did you turn around!”
Lu Ying covered her chest with one hand while frantically throwing her discarded nightgown at Jian Qin’s head—exactly like she had the very first time they changed.
The nightgown drifted down, draping over Jian Qin’s head. The scent of Lu Ying rushed into her nose. Mixed within that fragrance was another familiar scent—the lemon-scented body wash Jian Qin had specifically bought for her in the real world.
Beneath the fabric of the nightgown, Jian Qin’s lips curled into a smirk. Her suspicions were now almost entirely confirmed.
Terrified that the “hooligan” would pull the gown off, Lu Ying tried to pull the dress on at lightning speed. But the more she panicked, the more she blundered. She accidentally stepped on the layers of her hem, her foot slipped, and she began to tumble.
The next second, she was caught in a firm embrace.
Jian Qin had removed the nightgown. Her palm was pressed against Lu Ying’s smooth, delicate back. Where her gaze fell, it looked as though snow had fallen, piling into a dazzling, brilliant white. The “towering peaks” trembled slightly, partially shrouded by the “drifting mists” of the half-donned dress.
Jian Qin had intended to tease her, but she hadn’t expected things to go this far. She froze for two seconds before abruptly snapping her eyes shut.
After helping the girl steady herself, she released the “Miss.” She heard the girl shout, both angry and ashamed: “You hooligan!”
Jian Qin’s throat bobbed. “Apologies, Miss. I was merely concerned for your safety.”
Lu Ying had never been looked at with such an undisguised, intense gaze in her life. Shamed beyond words, she fumbled into the rest of the dress. However, unable to reach the zipper at the back, she was forced to ask the “female hooligan” for help again.
“You… I… I’m dressed.”
She kept her eyes down, not daring to look at Jian Qin. Jian Qin, sensing she might have pushed a bit too far, dropped the rest of her plan. She behaved herself and simply pulled up the zipper.
Usually, Lu Ying would twirl in front of the mirror to admire herself in a new gown, but today she had no interest in vanity. She just wanted to escape.
She saw everything! If this happened in reality, Lu Ying would just be embarrassed. But because Jian Qin supposedly didn’t know she was the Miss, Lu Ying was genuinely annoyed.
Last time, she was touched that the boss “kept her virtue.” Now, she hadn’t even lasted a day before revealing her “hooligan tail.” So she’s the type to eat from her own bowl while eyeing the pot?
Anger turned into a pouty sadness. Lu Ying stood listlessly before the mirror as Jian Qin fastened today’s necklace. Jian Qin had thought about playfully nipping her earlobe to let the “little liar” know the sting of a secret revealed, but seeing Lu Ying’s dejected face, she couldn’t bring herself to do it. She patted Lu Ying’s shoulder. “Miss, we should head to the dining room.”
“Oh…” Lu Ying followed her out.
Outside, the corridor was still lined with a hundred bodyguards, each one trying to exude charm. One muscular man even gave her a wink, causing Lu Ying to instinctively hide behind Jian Qin.
Jian Qin took her hand, comforting her. “It’s alright, Miss. Let’s go.”
Lu Ying hesitated between being surrounded by overwhelming male hormones or “cheating” on herself, and ultimately chose to hold Jian Qin’s hand.

They reached the dining room in silence. The brothers greeted her warmly as she took her seat. Lu Ying noticed the Eldest Brother was missing. The Second Brother spoke first, asking about her trip to the amusement park.
Lu Ying realized with a start that she wasn’t repeating content—this was the story continuing after “The End.” But I didn’t write this! How is the Mary Sue world generating new plots?
A wave of insecurity hit her. Where would the story take her next? To school? To some unknown destination?
She was snapped out of her daze by the Third Brother. “We had a good time,” she replied.
The Second Brother gave a faint, elegant smile. “I didn’t realize Eldest Brother was so frail. You had fun, yet he’s fallen ill.”
Lu Ying blinked. “Brother is sick? Did Dr. Murong come?”
The lively Fourth Brother pouted. “I wanted to call Murong, but Third Brother wouldn’t let me.”
The overbearing Third Brother smirked, his eyes flickering with three parts coldness, three parts mockery, and four parts disdain. “Heh. I told you, don’t give that man with ulterior motives a chance to see our sister.”
“…” Lu Ying couldn’t see their faces clearly, but she could hear the dramatic intensity in their voices.
“Brother’s health is important,” she ventured. “Better let Dr. Murong take a look…”
“Very well,” the Second Brother said gently. “We’ll do as our sister says.”
Third Brother snorted. “But only after she sets off.”
Sets off? To where?
Lu Ying cautiously asked, “What’s the plan for today?”
The Fourth Brother’s voice chirped happily. “Sister, didn’t you say you wanted to go to the beach? Second Brother and I have everything ready. You’re going to love it!”
The beach?!
Lu Ying realized: she had mentioned wanting to go to the beach in reality. This world was formed by her wishes, so the “auto-generated” plot was pulling directly from her real-world desires.
Free travel! No need for annual leave, and I get to go with Jian Qin!
The gloom of the “cheating” incident vanished. She asked excitedly, “When do we leave?”
Her childlike excitement pleased the Third Brother. He smiled. “Visit your Eldest Brother after breakfast. Once you’re done, we depart.”
