Mistakenly Seen as a Scumbag by My Wife with Seven Personalities - Chapter 5
Sleeping, Yet Intimate
The night was deep, but the atmosphere in the bed grew subtly intimate.
“Baby, open your mouth.”
While Gu Fei was sound asleep, a soft, alluring voice, accompanied by warm breaths, gently brushed against her ear in the dimness.
It was her wife’s voice.
In her slumber, Gu Fei’s brow relaxed, and she obediently parted her lips without a hint of guard.
The next moment, a rose, fragrant to the point of intoxication, was tenderly placed between her lips.
Gu Fei instinctively held it gently.
“Mmm…”
A soft, uncontrollable moan escaped her throat. Gu Yi frowned slightly, biting her lip to suppress a deeper sigh.
Her dazed gaze lingered intensely on the oblivious sleeping face beneath her. Deep under the covers, Gu Fei’s palm had already grown damp and warm.
A faint, possessive smile curved her lips as she pressed a kiss to Gu Fei’s neck. Her breathing grew increasingly ragged as she leaned down slowly, immersing herself more deeply in the pleasure Gu Fei brought her.
The sheets beneath them were already in disarray, but the physical satisfaction and the secret thrill in her heart intertwined, pushing her almost to the brink of losing control.
Holding tightly to Gu Fei, she traced the contours of the person in her arms with her fingertips, while beneath the covers, she continued to explore with delicate attention.
Morning arrived, the storm having just subsided.
Gu Fei woke up refreshed from a good night’s sleep but found no sign of Qin Qingwei beside her. After searching the room and making several unanswered calls to Qin Qingwei’s phone, she realized with dismay that she had lost contact with her wife again.
Sitting dejectedly and somewhat disoriented on the edge of the bed, Gu Fei scrolled through her phone, revisiting her chat history with Qin Qingwei. As she did, she noticed a subtle sensation on her fingertips.
Instinctively raising her hand for a closer look, Gu Fei felt her cheeks grow warm as the sensation struck her as oddly familiar. Tentatively, she brought her fingers to her nose.
A clear, intoxicating scent of roses.
The fragrance she knew all too well Qin Qingwei’s signature scent.
Her face flushed instantly, and Gu Fei unconsciously pressed her lips together.
Had she lost her memory? She distinctly remembered not being intimate with her wife the night before.
She had only given Qin Qingwei a massage and gone to bed early.
For a fleeting moment, her mind drifted, recalling the faint, coaxing whispers she thought she’d heard in her dreams. Though she couldn’t recall the exact words, she was certain it had been Qin Qingwei’s voice.
As she pieced together her memories, Gu Fei also spotted a familiar black nightgown by the bed.
And lying atop it, a matching black lace underwear.
It was the set she had watched Qin Qingwei change into in the bathroom the night before.
Clearly, it had been properly worn to bed, yet now it lay discarded on the floor.
Almost guessing what had happened, Gu Fei turned and hesitantly lifted the bedsheet. On the light-colored sheet, a familiar mark made her blush furiously.
She really had been intimate with her wife while asleep.
Most importantly, it seemed they hadn’t used a finger cot.
At the thought of this crucial detail, the sweetness in Gu Fei’s heart was swiftly replaced by anxiety and panic.
Frantically searching around the bed and confirming that no finger cot was anywhere to be found, Gu Fei lost her composure entirely.
While looking up information on infection risks and emergency measures on her phone, she repeatedly tried calling Qin Qingwei, her worry mounting.
But even after Gu Fei left the bar, she received no response from Qin Qingwei.
Feeling deeply melancholic and anxious, Gu Fei made a special trip to the hospital first. After picking up the medication prescribed by the doctor, she hurriedly drove back to the home she shared with Qin Qingwei.
She remembered Qin Qingwei mentioning recently that she hadn’t taken on any new scripts and would be resting for a while. Gu Fei thought she might find her wife at home.
But reality once again dashed her hopes. Just as Gu Fei, filled with worry, was about to contact her secretary to get Qin Qingwei’s agent’s phone number, she received a call from the old family residence.
“My friend? Did she mention her name?”
Gu Fei, not paying much attention to the call, had already gotten back into her car, intending to search for Qin Qingwei at the place where she had lived before their marriage.
Although she knew in her heart that the likelihood of Qin Qingwei being there was slim.
Ever since they had confirmed their relationship, aside from work and filming, Qin Qingwei had spent all her remaining time living with Gu Fei, nurturing their bond.
And last night, they hadn’t argued or had any unpleasantness, there was no reason for Qin Qingwei to suddenly return to that old residence.
But then, recalling how she had refused to cuddle before falling asleep the previous night, Gu Fei suddenly felt uncertain.
Had she really upset her wife?
In the few seconds between answering the call and getting into the car, Gu Fei’s mind raced through countless thoughts. She even began contemplating how to apologize to her wife and reflecting on whether she should carry finger cots with her to avoid a repeat of last night’s situation.
Meanwhile, several kilometers away at the Gu family’s old residence, in stark contrast to Gu Fei’s chaotic thoughts, the housekeeper, Aunt Sun, exchanged a gentle, knowing smile with the woman sitting quietly in the living room before promptly replying to Gu Fei.
“Her surname is Song, Song Yanran. She said she was your high school tutor.”
As she spoke, Aunt Sun glanced toward Song Yanran not far away and lowered her voice slightly.
“But I remember all your previous tutors were foreign teachers hired by the young lady. Or have I gotten confused in my old age?”
Still preoccupied with finding her wife, Gu Fei paid little attention to the unfamiliar name, intending to have Aunt Sun entertain the guest for now, as she had no time to meet with any teacher. But just as she was about to hang up, she heard a familiar voice on the other end of the line.
“Is this Gu Fei? I’m sorry to disturb you so suddenly. I’m Song Yanran, and I have something very important to ask for your help with.”
Standing apologetically beside Aunt Sun, Song Yanran leaned slightly forward, her brow furrowed as she spoke into the phone.
When she had regained consciousness that morning, she found herself in a pharmacy, holding a tube of ointment with a name that made her blush and a box of finger cots. Embarrassed, she had immediately put them down and left.
Apart from that, she had nothing on her except some cash. With no other options, Song Yanran, who rarely ventured out, had no choice but to seek help from the only person she remembered knowing.
“Qingwei?”
Hearing her wife’s voice, Gu Fei’s eyes widened in surprise. She glanced uncertainly at her phone screen, started the car, and responded softly, as if relieved.
“Qingwei, wait for me there. I’ll be right over.”
Without stopping to wonder why her wife had changed her name again or how she had found the Gu family’s old residence, Gu Fei’s only thought now was to hurry and help her wife apply the ointment.
Ten minutes later, in the courtyard of the Gu family’s old residence, Gu Fei stepped out of the car holding a medicine bag. Before she could enter the living room, she saw Qin Qingwei walking toward her, following behind Aunt Sun.
“You’re back, Xiao Fei. Have you had breakfast yet? I specially prepared lots of your favorite tea snacks. Come on in.” Aunt Sun, who hadn’t seen Gu Fei return in a long time, greeted her with a smile. But as she approached, she noticed the prominently marked hospital medicine bag in Gu Fei’s hand.
“Why are you carrying medicine? Are you feeling unwell, Xiao Fei?” Aunt Sun, who had always treated her like her own child, looked at her with concern, even regretting that she hadn’t persuaded Gu Fei more firmly when she decided to move out and live alone.
Meanwhile, Song Yanran, standing behind Aunt Sun, also fixed her gaze on Gu Fei. But when she met the tender affection in Gu Fei’s eyes reserved only for Qin Qingwei, Song Yanran’s fingers twitched slightly at her sides. She lowered her gaze, pretending to casually look away.
Gu Fei hadn’t yet noticed Song Yanran’s evasion. With a slightly flushed face, she told Aunt Sun a small white lie before walking up to Song Yanran and instinctively reaching for her hand. To her surprise, however, her grasp met empty air the next second.
As Gu Fei’s palm drew near, Song Yanran casually raised her hand to adjust the strands of hair by her cheek. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed Gu Fei’s stunned expression, and an involuntary mix of fluster and bitterness stirred within her.
But there was nothing to be done Song Yanran couldn’t bring herself to compete with Qin Qingwei for a girlfriend.
Gu Fei, having been avoided, was momentarily taken aback. But in her daze, a sudden understanding dawned on her.
Qin Qingwei probably didn’t want to reveal their relationship in front of Aunt Sun.
Thinking she had figured it out, Gu Fei curved her lips into a faint smile at Song Yanran. She didn’t try to hold her hand again but followed Aunt Sun into the living room. While responding to Aunt Sun’s concerns, she subtly turned back and gestured to Song Yanran, signaling for her not to worry.
Seeing the lighthearted smile on Gu Fei’s face, Song Yanran instinctively curved her lips upward, only to feel a pang of bitterness in her heart when she came back to her senses.
In the dining room, after setting out the breakfast, Aunt Sun went to the kitchen to continue simmering soup to nourish Gu Fei’s health. The spacious dining room was left with only Gu Fei and Qin Qingwei.
Glancing toward the semi-open kitchen behind them, Gu Fei moved closer to Song Yanran beside her.
“Qingwei, are you feeling unwell? I bought some medicine at the hospital. Shall we go back to the room to apply it?”
As she spoke, she had already instinctively and gently taken hold of Song Yanran’s hand resting on her knee, her movements so natural that Song Yanran had no chance to avoid it.
The warmth on the back of her hand stirred conflicting emotions in Song Yanran. Glancing at Gu Fei, who was still gazing at her with concern, she steeled herself, frowned slightly, and gently pulled her hand away.
“I’m not Qin Qingwei. I’m sorry.”
“I know, your name now is.”
Recalling last night’s experience with the name-swapping game at the bar, Gu Fei was only briefly stunned before quickly catching on.
Thinking back to the name she had heard during the phone call earlier, Gu Fei smiled and gently hooked her fingers with Song Yanran’s under the table.
“It’s Song Yanran, right? Why aren’t you going by Gu today? Did I upset you?”
“…”
Feeling that it was too complicated to explain, Song Yanran sighed helplessly. But faced with Gu Fei, whose eyes were filled only with her, she found herself at a loss.
Lowering her gaze to her fingers, which were once again being toyed with and kneaded in the other’s palm, Song Yanran’s neck involuntarily flushed with a faint blush.
“I…”
Her voice came out slightly hoarse from the tenderness she felt. Pressing her lips together, Song Yanran suppressed the stirring in her heart and withdrew her fingertips from Gu Fei’s grasp once more.
“Gu Fei, there’s something I want to ask you.”
Her words were cut short by the sudden ringing of her phone.
“Wait a moment, dear.”
Glancing at the caller ID Secretary Chen, Gu Fei instinctively rubbed her temples, suddenly remembering she had work to attend to today. With an apologetic press of her lips, she gave Song Yanran a brief look before picking up the phone and exchanging a few words with Secretary Chen. While speaking, she didn’t forget to pull out two tubes of ointment from a bag to show Song Yanran.
These ointments had been specially prescribed by a doctor, one for internal use and the other for external application. Not only could they effectively prevent the risk of infection, but they also helped alleviate discomfort.
Beside her, Song Yanran, somewhat puzzled, took the ointments. But the moment she read the instructions, her face instantly reddened. One of the tubes was the same one she had seen at the pharmacy just that morning.
Holding the two boxes of ointment with a mix of emotions, Song Yanran pressed her lips together and gave Gu Fei a meaningful glance. She had always thought Gu Fei was gentle and well-behaved, but it seemed that was nothing more than an illusion.
Frowning, she tried to endure the discomfort in her legs that she had deliberately ignored since waking up. For the first time, a flicker of dissatisfaction toward Gu Fei stirred in her heart.
Not well-behaved at all.
