- Married To My Childhood Friend: An Alpha Business Contract
- Chapter 3 - Come and Sit Here Yourself
The Alpha leaned his head closer, the heat of his breath brushing against the Omega’s neck, triggering a hidden shiver.
But… what did he just say?
Se-seduce?
Lu Siyan’s eyes widened in a mix of shame and annoyance. His hands waved frantically, terrified that Xiao Yanxiu might misunderstand.
Tucked into his cashmere scarf, his fair, delicate face flushed a deep red that reached the corners of his eyes, which were now clouded with a hazy, bewildered mist.
In his panic, he tried to explain, but as he looked up, his gaze collided with the man’s beautiful, deep peach-blossom eyes.
The moment their eyes met, his heart seemed to stop. A bolt of electricity shot from his toes to the crown of his head, frightening him so much that he whipped his body around to face away again.
“No, no, no, I’m not, I didn’t…”
His frozen fingertips glowed a pale peach-pink in the cold wind.
The little Omega stammered, repeatedly squeezing and tugging at the elegantly packaged paper bag in his hands, nervous to death.
“I… I came to find you today specifically to apologize.”
“Last time at the hospital, you saved me, but I still…” I bit you back.
“As a result, I caused you…”
I caused you to enter your rut for no reason. In that chaos, being temporarily marked was only natural.
“But this matter has nothing to do with my parents. Look, we each took a ‘bite’ out of each other, so let’s call it even.”
“So, my presumptuous request is to ask the Xiao family if they could be merciful. Please let the Lu family go and stop pursuing this.”
However, the Xiao and Lu families were in completely different leagues; even mentioning them in the same breath was an unearned promotion for the Lus.
“Of course, if you’re still upset…”
“It’s okay if you want to bite me back a couple of times.”
The glands on the back of his neck had never been touched by anyone else; Xiao Yanxiu was the first.
His delicate skin had been pierced by sharp teeth, leaving a shocking wound that was difficult to heal and still throbbed with a burning pain.
To be able to say something so “magnanimous,” he had completely forgotten how he had cried until he fainted in the man’s arms just a few days ago because he was so afraid of the pain.
And now, he was actually volunteering to be bitten?
Xiao Yanxiu understood his words and let out a soft chuckle.
The man slowly straightened his back, which had been leaning toward the boy, and his cigarette flared back to life.
The heavy snow predicted by the weather forecast began to fall punctually from the ink-black sky.
Just as the white flakes were about to drift onto his hair, a black umbrella was held over him from behind, blocking the intrusion just in time.
The man glanced back, and the security guard immediately understood, extending his arm further.
The umbrella tilted heavily to one side, completely shielding Lu Siyan from the snow.
The little Omega waited for a long time without hearing a response, but he could sense the man hadn’t left.
The wisps of tobacco smoke drifted through the air, mingling with a faint scent of camellia and cedar—it smelled like a luxury brand’s new signature fragrance.
Intoxicating and charming.
“Brother Xiao, whose romantic debt is this now?”
“You’ve upset such a cute little Omega that he’s come all the way to our doorstep to collect?”
During this, Lu Siyan tried to look back several times but didn’t dare.
The orange paper bag gripped in his fingers was nearly poked through with holes.
The man was patient, simply waiting for him, until the group of brothers behind them—who were eager to watch the drama—couldn’t wait any longer. They strode forward, one draping an arm over Xiao Yanxiu’s shoulder to tease him.
“Changing tastes so quickly?”
“Didn’t you use to like those seductive foxes and heavy roses?”
“Since when did you switch to this…”
Those who could associate with Xiao Yanxiu and go in and out of the same circles were all famous scions of the capital’s top aristocratic families—the untouchable “Crown Prince Party.”
One young master teased them, his nose twitching as he accurately identified: “A-grade Bergamot?”
And he was in heat.
Lu Siyan had almost forgotten about this. Hearing it mentioned now, he turned pale with fright.
The Omega’s body trembled violently. He hurriedly tightened the scarf around his neck, shielding his glands.
He retreated in a panic, trying to put distance between them. But just as he was about to flee the protection of the black umbrella, a hand cupped the back of his head and pressed him back.
Stumbling, Lu Siyan crashed into the embrace of camellia and cedar, avoiding the snow.
The scent he loved overwhelmed him, wrapping around him as warmth radiated through his body.
In a daze, his thoughts paused; his brain felt like a jumble of tangled threads.
But he clearly heard the synchronized gasps of surprise from behind, making him so scared he didn’t dare breathe.
The man exhaled a cloud of white smoke and explained in a low, serious voice.
“You’re in your heat. If you catch a cold in the snow, do you want to die?”
The capital’s terrain was somewhat southern; snow was rare, and even when it fell, it melted upon hitting the ground.
An Omega in heat was already fragile, with extreme physical and emotional fluctuations. Getting sick would be a real disaster.
Lu Siyan didn’t misunderstand; he recognized the man’s kindness, and a warm current flooded his heart.
Though he felt greedy for the proximity, he secretly took several deep breaths of the scent before politely pulling away.
Someone behind them shouted jokingly.
“Brother Xiao, that’s not fair! Hiding a beauty at home?”
“You have such a cute little sister-in-law, and you won’t even bring him out to see the brothers?”
“Little sister-in-law, if you’re worried he’s being naughty, I’ll keep an eye on him for you in the future. You don’t need to come out to check on him in this cold weather so late at night!”
Xiao Yanxiu seemed used to this and had no intention of explaining.
Lu Siyan’s face was beet-red as he waved his hands frantically: “I… I’m not your sister-in-law.”
“Not yet?” The young masters were addicted to teasing him: “Well, if you aren’t, then why did you come looking for our Brother Xiao so late at night?”
“I… I…” The little Omega stole a glance at the man, annoyed that he remained silent. “I came specifically to apologize.”
“Apologize?”
Xiao Yanxiu was not someone to be trifled with. If he truly held a grudge, Lu Siyan wouldn’t even be able to see his shadow.
The young masters sensed that something was definitely up between these two: “What kind of heinous crime did you commit? Tell us, maybe we can help persuade him for you.”
Re-really?
But he didn’t know if he could mention the part about biting the man’s neck.
Lu Siyan looked up cautiously and saw that Xiao Yanxiu also had a barrier patch on the back of his neck—that was the trouble he had caused.
Under normal circumstances, an Alpha would never let someone touch their glands, let alone let a reckless person like him take a bite.
Lu Siyan’s timid gaze drifted hesitantly. Seeing that the man didn’t stop him, he assumed it was a silent permission and pointed his finger toward the wound.
The “Crown Prince Party” completely exploded: “Holy sh*t!”
“Holy sh*t!!!!”
“Brother Xiao, I was wondering why you were wearing a barrier patch today.”
“Turns out it was to hide a wound.”
“Holy sh*t!!!!”
To play so “intensively” with such a cute little Omega… what a dark horse.
Xiao Yanxiu irritably used two fingers to press against the forehead of the brother who was leaning in too close, pushing him away.
The little Omega in front of him was quite silly. He answered whatever people asked. Clearly, the actual creditor was right in front of him, yet he was asking others for help.
“Please, all of you, help me persuade him.”
“He seems very angry, but I really didn’t do it on purpose.”
“This is the apology gift I prepared.”
Before Lu Siyan could finish, the gift in his hand was snatched away. The young masters saw the logo: “You really spent a fortune, EPO’s Alpha fragrance?”
The paper bag was torn open without permission. The Omega chased after it anxiously: “Hey…” That was for Xiao Yanxiu.
The man turned and followed closely, the umbrella shielding the boy from the snow moving with him.
For these young masters, high-end brands like EPO were nothing special; they were used to having new products sent to them first.
However, further down the line, the threshold for buying and the membership requirements were very high.
Lu Siyan couldn’t buy it himself; he wasn’t one to chase luxury brands.
Even this perfume was a birthday gift from Lu Shiyuan, who had grandly presented it to him in front of the whole family.
Before leaving the house, he had rummaged through his belongings and finally found something presentable to use as a substitute.
It was a bit like “borrowing a flower to offer to Buddha,” but he felt guilty. His sincerity was mixed with a bit of pretentiousness, and he felt it didn’t quite suit the man.
Suddenly, the young master opposite them shouted: “Holy sh*t, this isn’t an Alpha fragrance, it’s an Omega fragrance!”
Giving an Alpha a perfume specifically for Omegas showed zero sincerity. Being exposed in public was an instant “social death” for him.
Lu Siyan was momentarily dazed and stood there at a total loss.
He should have realized—he was an Omega, so of course Lu Shiyuan would give him an Omega fragrance.
How could he…
“EPO’s Erotic series, main note Rosemary. It has a catalytic effect on an Omega’s heat.”
“What? It’s an aphrodisiac?”
Everyone burst into laughter.
“You little Omega, you look cute and innocent, but your methods are quite sophisticated.”
“You’ll use any trick to hook our Brother Xiao.”
“It seems the apology gift today isn’t this perfume, but the owner who’s about to use it.”
The young masters’ words were pointed. In that instant, it felt like thousands of eyes were projecting onto him.
Even though he didn’t have those intentions, he felt as though he had been stripped naked, his supposedly “dirty” thoughts of climbing the social ladder laid bare for all to see.
“I… I’m not, I didn’t.”
Lu Siyan panicked, his body trembling slightly. He jumped up, trying to snatch back the gift he had prepared.
The feeling of being mocked in public was naturally unbearable.
Xiao Yanxiu hadn’t expected things to develop this way. The man’s brow furrowed. He was about to stop them, but he was a step too late.
The opened perfume was sprayed directly toward the frantic little Omega.
The intense, spicy scent—at the very moment the man quickly covered the boy’s nose and mouth—managed to seep through the gaps between his fingers and into his nasal cavity.
The Omega’s back slammed into the Alpha’s chest. The stimulation caused him to sneeze violently.
His cheeks turned hot and burning to the touch, and his vision began to blur.
Lu Siyan grabbed the man’s arm, swaying. He tried hard to focus his vision, desperate to explain even in this state.
“I… I really didn’t mean that.” I came to apologize.
The effect of the catalyst was absolutely lethal for an Omega in heat.
Xiao Yanxiu clearly felt the person in his arms grow heavier. He lifted him with more force.
The man looked forward with cold eyes: “Give it to me.” His perfume.
Although the young masters were nominally in the same circle, there was a fundamental difference between them and the Xiao family.
Moreover, Xiao Yanxiu didn’t usually associate closely with them. Even for today’s gathering, it had taken a thousand invitations to get the “Grand Ancestor” to make a rare appearance.
They were used to seeing people use all sorts of methods to entangle these playboys.
Helping each other, dismissing people, and covering for one another were common practices. Who would have thought that today… they had run into a real “sister-in-law”?
The young master who had started the trouble saw that Xiao Yanxiu’s mood was off. He quickly put the perfume back in its box, stuffed it back in the bag, and handed it intact to Xiao’s assistant.
Though embarrassed, he didn’t dare offend him. He immediately straightened his face and apologized to Lu Siyan.
“Sis… sister-in-law.”
“I’m really sorry, we were just joking.” I didn’t realize you were the real deal.
EPO’s high-end fragrances cost six figures at the very least. The effects were instantaneous.
Lu Siyan’s consciousness began to scatter. His fingertips trembled. His unhealed glands began to stir, and the tearing sensation of the swelling caused him to break out in a cold sweat from the pain.
Especially the reaction in his lower abdomen…
For some reason, Xiao Yanxiu was entangled by this little fellow again, and he couldn’t just throw him away.
From needing the man to hold him at first, the boy was now completely proactive, wrapping his arms around Xiao’s neck and constantly sniffing at his scent glands.
He couldn’t be pulled away no matter what.
Having no choice, Xiao Yanxiu instructed his subordinates to call the hospital and arrange a room immediately.
He let the little Omega do as he pleased, then bent down to pick him up horizontally and walked toward the Bugatti parked by the roadside.
Even the simple action of getting him into the passenger seat took a full five minutes of struggling.
As he leaned into the car to fasten the seatbelt, their pheromones and breath became uncontrollably and tightly intertwined.
Lu Siyan liked this narrow space. Xiao Yanxiu’s head was buried close to him, leaving him nowhere to run.
During this, he could only let himself be hugged, rubbed against, and repeatedly sniffed, while he remained helpless—as if Xiao were his personal Alpha, and his alone.
“Xiao Yanxiu, Xiao Yanxiu…”
The little Omega’s suppressed voice revealed a hint of unbearable pain as he murmured the name.
The man was being worn out by the ordeal and felt like tying the boy’s flailing limbs together.
From childhood until now, no one except his elders had dared to call him by his full name like that. This little guy was quite bold.
Once he finally got the “Grand Ancestor” settled and sat in the driver’s seat, the passenger seatbelt was restlessly tugged open again.
Lu Siyan felt hot. He untied the scarf around his neck. His barrier patch, having lost its stickiness due to heavy sweating, was halfway peeled off.
The pheromones grew increasingly intense, filling the car without being able to dissipate.
The man sighed helplessly. This wasn’t easy for him either.
He opened the window to take several deep breaths of fresh air, then leaned over again to try to fasten the seatbelt.
As soon as he got close, his neck was tightly hugged. A fuzzy little head rubbed back and forth in the crook of his neck, causing his own back to break into a sweat.
Xiao Yanxiu unexpectedly noticed a large patch of fine red rash on the fair skin near Lu Siyan’s barrier patch.
He suddenly remembered hearing a doctor at the hospital mention that the boy had an easily allergic constitution. During his heat, he couldn’t even use suppressants and had to endure it through sheer willpower.
The man stared into those teary eyes. Unsure if the boy could see him clearly, he asked, “Do you know who I am?”
Lu Siyan answered quickly: “Xiao Yanxiu…”
Good. He was still conscious, though not by much.
The Alpha laughed: “Not bad.” He could recognize people, but he needed to confirm one more thing.
He firmly pulled away the Omega’s arms, sat back in his seat, and cast a light glance over: “Do you want me to temporarily mark you?”
The Omega looked like he was about to cry: “Help me, help me.”
Lu Siyan couldn’t hold on any longer, squirming like a little snake.
The man’s lips curled slightly as he thought of a wicked idea. He patted his own firm, muscular thigh: “Come over here yourself.”
