Married The Crybaby Childhood Crush First, Then Fell in Love - Chapter 37.1
Lin Wanqing gripped the edge of the bathtub tightly, tears streaming down her face uncontrollably. She didn’t know how to face Yan Qiu.
It was too shameful.
The thin, ivory-white slip dress she was wearing was already translucent and clung to her skin, making her feel miserably numb, like a maggot on a rotting bone.
“No, please, Sister, let go of me…”
Lin Wanqing, unable to fight back, whimpered with wronged sobs, her shoulders shaking.
Yan Qiu had never seen anyone cry so pitifully, tears dripping onto the water in the bathtub.
Pink and white camellias clung to Lin Wanqing’s skin, making it hard to tell whether the petals were softer or her skin was.
Yan Qiu held the towel and froze. “Don’t cry.”
Her little rabbit couldn’t stop crying once she started.
A malicious thought crossed Yan Qiu’s mind to make her cry even harder, but reason barely stopped her.
Forget it, she’s just a little girl who hasn’t grown up yet.
Lin Wanqing was terrified; the physical impulse and her fear of Yan Qiu prevented her from moving forward.
Yan Qiu was definitely not easy to deal with. She had resolved not to fall for this woman when they agreed to a contractual marriage.
But why…
Yan Qiu was flustered. “Fine, fine, I won’t scrub your back anymore.”
Yan Qiu helplessly wiped the tears from Lin Wanqing’s eyes with her finger, but unexpectedly, she cried even harder.
The name “Red Rabbit Eyes” was truly deserved; she sniffled and kept drawing deep, shaky breaths.
Quite adorable.
Lin Wanqing’s rabbit ears felt like they were being tugged as she looked timidly at Yan Qiu.
Yan Qiu quickly rinsed the foam from Lin Wanqing’s hair and body, then patted her shoulder. “Don’t cry. I’ll go back to my room to rest first. Don’t catch a cold.”
Worry was evident in Yan Qiu’s eyes, but she dared not touch her again.
Miss Rabbit is afraid of me.
Lin Wanqing stared blankly at Yan Qiu in the tub, catching a glimpse of disappointment and loneliness in her retreating figure.
Such a proud person, the “Black Cat,” was now supporting herself against the wall, struggling to sit in her wheelchair, a thin blanket wrapped around her body.
She wheeled herself out of the bathroom.
Water was still dripping from the tips of her hair.
The girl’s state was no better. Her hair and body were covered in foam and flower petals, and her skin was flushed pink from the hot water.
A blush rose on her face, her eyelids were red, and her eyes were misty from crying.
Beautiful, fragile like an expensive jewel.
Lin Wanqing sniffled, her heart filled with complex emotions.
Wrapping herself in a blanket, she ran barefoot out of the bathroom and quietly slipped into the adjacent room. She rummaged through a cabinet and pulled out an agreement.
A gust of wind instantly chilled her body.
For a moment, Lin Wanqing wanted to simply run away. She didn’t want to stay by Yan Qiu’s side, to be tormented every day by confusing emotions.
Her name was signed on the black and white agreement.
Lin Wanqing quietly read the text: “Party A has the obligation to fulfill marital responsibilities and maintain marital harmony, which includes concealing the truth from all parties, including, but not limited to, family, friends, media, and netizens.”
A bucket of cold water was poured over Lin Wanqing’s head.
She had no choice, whether she was willing or not.
The Old Master needed a photo of her and Yan Qiu looking affectionate to send to the media, and Lin Wanqing simply had no option to refuse.
She stepped onto the cold tiles and returned to the bathtub.
She looked at the mirror and tossed the translucent silk slip dress aside. The girl’s body was slender and perfect; her waist could be gripped with just two hands.
Her chest was a little small, barely filling her palm.
Lin Wanqing couldn’t bear to look closely at her body; she had never examined herself like this before.
“Will Sister Qiuqiu like it?”
Lin Wanqing used her fingers to rub her already rosy lips until they were even redder.
Her mother once told her that her body was naturally base, best suited for pleasing people in bed, and her status as an illegitimate daughter meant she was not presentable, with no better future than to be used by others.
Lin Wanqing had been unfortunate and disdained speaking to her mother, but now…
The girl wiped away the tears in her eyes and washed every part of her body thoroughly.
Although she didn’t know what two girls were supposed to do, she knew the functions of the human organs.
Everything must be washed clean.
Yan Qiu sat in front of the glass curtain wall, gazing indifferently out the window.
She tightly clutched an old pocket watch in her hand, the grip leaving red marks on her palm, which she ignored.
Inside the watch cover was a photo of a nine-year-old child. The child had suffered from malnutrition since childhood and looked closer to six than nine.
Yan Qiu tenderly and lovingly stroked the photograph, then kissed it delicately before snapping the watch shut and putting it into her inner pocket.
A sound came from the doorway.
Her Miss Rabbit was standing at the entrance, wearing a thigh-length nightgown, looking hesitant and shy.
The pale purple nightgown was one that Yan Qiu had worn the day before.
Yan Qiu’s throat felt dry and her voice was hoarse. “Tiantian is done washing up so quickly.”
She had assumed Lin Wanqing disliked her and didn’t want her to touch her body.
Nevertheless, Yan Qiu’s gaze fixed momentarily on the open neckline and the skirt hem fluttering in the breeze.
A very white and tender body.
Lin Wanqing radiated warmth all over. She gripped her phone tightly with one hand. “Sister Qiuqiu…”
Lin Wanqing walked closer, her fingers kneading Yan Qiu’s shoulder, then slowly moving down. Finally, she knelt on the floor and massaged Yan Qiu’s aching legs and feet.
Yan Qiu’s breathing quickened, and she gripped the edge of the wheelchair tightly.
Yan Qiu said, “You don’t have to force yourself.”
Lin Wanqing shook her head. “This is what I should do. The weather has been cold and rainy lately, so Sister Qiuqiu’s legs must be very uncomfortable.”
Lin Wanqing placed Yan Qiu’s feet on her lower abdomen to warm them up.
Yan Qiu’s toes gently pressed against Lin Wanqing’s soft abdomen. She dared not use force, afraid to startle this ‘cotton candy.’
The repeatedly touching, mischievous foot on her abdomen sent a jolt like an electric current through Lin Wanqing’s entire body.
Lin Wanqing massaged the medicinal oil into Yan Qiu’s legs.
The shiny medicinal oil gave off a bitter scent, rubbing into the skin. This spark, ready to ignite a flame, scorched her to the bone.
Is Lin Wanqing trying to please me?
Tears welled up in Lin Wanqing’s eyes as she was pressed down. “Stop, it’s so uncomfortable…”
Yan Qiu said, “Stop rubbing. Sit on me.”
Lin Wanqing bit her lip, determined to massage both of Yan Qiu’s legs until they felt better.
It was so cold outside, her legs must surely be hurting.
If Yan Qiu was happy, maybe she would allow her to take a picture.
She finally stopped when her hands were sore. Before Lin Wanqing could stand steady, Yan Qiu wrapped her arm around her waist and pulled her to sit directly on her disabled legs.
Lin Wanqing awkwardly kissed the corner of Yan Qiu’s mouth, nibbling gently at her lip with her teeth.
Yan Qiu hadn’t expected the girl to be so enthusiastic today. She couldn’t resist, forcefully wrapping her arms around Lin Wanqing’s waist.
It felt wonderful. She squeezed once, then again.
“Mmph—!”
Lin Wanqing’s pupils trembled, and her entire body went limp against Yan Qiu. Her waist no longer had the strength to stay straight; it had melted into water, and she softly leaned on Yan Qiu’s shoulder.
Yan Qiu asked, “Why are you so proactive today, hmm?”
Lin Wanqing softly replied, “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have rejected you in the bathtub, Sister.”
Yan Qiu couldn’t resist her apology. “It was my fault for touching you without warning.”
Lin Wanqing shook her head in a panic, then forcefully and unreservedly kissed her.
She used all her courage and strength.
Yan Qiu was overwhelmed by her. Lin Wanqing guided Yan Qiu’s hand to her chest…
She was proactive, earnestly pleading.
Yan Qiu’s eyes glazed over. “Tiantian.”
A strand of saliva separated between them.
Yan Qiu’s breath was hot, spraying on Lin Wanqing’s collarbone. “Be good, why don’t we go to the bed.”
Lin Wanqing clenched her phone tightly, sweat forming in her palm.
Yan Qiu used a coaxing tone, “Why are you still holding your phone? Put it down, don’t get distracted.”
Lin Wanqing rubbed her cheek against Yan Qiu’s, gripping Yan Qiu’s wrist, urging her to hold her tighter.
“Sister Qiuqiu, can we take a picture?”
Lin Wanqing pleaded.
She felt so miserable physically, she wanted to use Yan Qiu’s fire to ignite her own, but she felt wronged.
Tears streamed down her face from the injustice.
It wasn’t just her eyes that were wet; it was also her underwear…
Yan Qiu briefly regained her composure. “Why do you need to take a picture?”
Lin Wanqing’s eyelashes fluttered. “I want to keep it as a memory. Please, can we take a picture?”
Lin Wanqing’s lips trembled. “Please, okay? QAQ”
The clumsy girl couldn’t hide what was on her mind. Yan Qiu gripped her waist, asking coldly, “Who told you to come here and take a picture?”
Lin Wanqing jumped in fright, her body trembling even more violently. She had no choice but to tell the truth.
Everyone knew Yan Qiu disliked having her picture taken, but how could they carry out a media campaign without one?
Lin Wanqing lowered her head, not daring to look at her. Her fingers were so shaky with fear that she couldn’t even hold her phone; it dropped to the floor with a muffled thud.
Yan Qiu’s eyes turned icy. She forcefully gripped the rigid frame of the wheelchair.
Yan Qiu enunciated every word clearly. “You approached me just now… was it all just to take a picture?”
Yan Qiu forced a bitter laugh, pinching the bridge of her nose and laughing silently.
How ironic. She had finally earned the attention of her childhood crush, only to find out it was to appease the boring media.
Yan Qiu’s eyes were utterly cold. “Your phone fell. Go pick it up.”
Lin Wanqing was terrified. “Sister Qiuqiu, I…”
Yan Qiu interrupted, “Didn’t you want to take a picture? Pick up the phone.”
Lin Wanqing slid off her lap, bent down, and grasped the phone. She didn’t know why Yan Qiu was angry, but seeing the hurt flash in her eyes made her heart feel like it was being stabbed with a knife.
She felt like she had committed a heinous crime.
Yan Qiu snatched the phone, opened the front-facing camera, and cursorily pressed the shutter.
A photo that was, arguably, intimate was saved in the album.
Yan Qiu tossed the phone back to her. “Go turn in your assignment.”
Lin Wanqing held the phone, her heart heavy. “I’m sorry.”
Yan Qiu said flatly, “You haven’t done anything to apologize for. There’s no need for an apology.”
The heartfelt act of massaging her legs, allowing her to touch her waist, and kissing her earlier today… it was all a calculation.
Yan Qiu had once thought that as long as she could keep her first love by her side, what did it matter if it was by force? But now, she couldn’t accept any touch that wasn’t genuine.
She was getting greedy.
Lin Wanqing was so anxious she started crying. “Sister Qiuqiu, I…”
A flicker of darkness crossed Yan Qiu’s eyes. “Get out.”
Lin Wanqing jumped in shock. Seeing Yan Qiu turn her back to her without a word, her lips pressed into a thin line, refusing to spare her even a glance.
Lin Wanqing’s heart was wounded, bleeding profusely. She tightly clutched her phone and left the room.
She stood at the doorway, worriedly glancing back inside.
Yan Qiu was not looking at her.
Seeing Lin Wanqing quietly leave, Yan Qiu forcefully punched the wall. She seemed not to feel the piercing pain.
