Male Lead, Please Don’t Covet the Mob Character Cannon Fodder (Quick Transmigration) - Chapter 23
“There is a special gene in their bodies that I have named ‘Infection.’ It can erode and alter the genes of other organisms, converting them into new Heinos Nagas,” Bai Lin’s voice was ecstatic. “This is a miracle! They represent the perfect evolutionary direction. If the Federation can master this gene, we will usher in a new era. Powerful bodies, eternal life; everything will be within our reach!”
Qingshi could not understand Bai Lin’s fanaticism. “If the Heinos Nagas are as powerful as you say, Mr. Bai Lin, then why did they vanish 30 billion years ago and fall into a slumber within the Antarctic ice seas?”
Bang! A loud sound of a hand slamming against a table echoed.
“What do you know! The Heinos Nagas disappeared because of the Great Blue Star Cold Wave disaster 30 billion years ago. And look at him, sleeping in the extreme cold for so many years and still able to awaken. What formidable vitality!”
Qingshi closed his eyes, suppressing the eruption of anger in his heart. “I do not understand. Why did you lock me in here for your experiments, and why did you take Vincent and the others?”
“I did this all for you, Captain Ji,” Bai Lin’s tone was gentle, but his words were ice-cold. “In this Dawn Base, you have a following that responds to your every call. If I did not take the base first, how could I have dealt with you?”
“For me,” Qingshi gritted his teeth and locked eyes with the Male Lead. He seemed to see the desolation and fear in his own eyes reflected in those clear emerald pupils. “You have gone to such great lengths; exactly what kind of experiment do you want to use me for?”
“I discovered the ‘Infection’ gene in ‘Fuxi’s’ tissue and blood, but they lack activity. They seem to die the moment they leave the host body. Therefore, I boldly speculate that the gene infection of the Heinos Naga requires a special method; for instance, the exchange of fluids.”
Qingshi’s mind went blank, as if he had been struck by a heavy blow. “So, you want…”
“Exactly.” Bai Lin’s voice, filled with laughter and accompanied by the clatter of metal hitting the floor, hammered cruelly against Qingshi’s heart. “You are the mate marked by ‘Fuxi.’ He will take the initiative to convert you. The research results from a Heinos in the process of conversion are far greater than those from an adult.”
The Male Lead, now freed from his shackles, slithered slowly toward Qingshi. Qingshi reached for the heavy energy gun at his waist. “‘Fuxi’ is also an intelligent being. He can understand our speech. How can you be sure he will do as you wish?”
“Hahaha! I did have concerns about that before. But thanks to my good student Bai Gu, though he was overconfident in provoking ‘Fuxi’ and ended up dead, he successfully triggered ‘Fuxi’s’ mating heat. Right now, his head is likely filled with nothing but how to devour you into his stomach,” Bai Lin remarked. “It is said that the mating period of the Heinos race lasts for an entire month. Captain Ji, you must hold on.”
With a trembling hand, Qingshi raised the heavy energy gun. However, the muzzle was pointed not at the Male Lead, but at himself. Such humiliation was harder to accept than death for the proud Ji Qingshi.
Seeing his partner point that dangerous weapon at himself, Jia’s pupils contracted. His tail swung out with force, knocking the heavy energy gun out of Qingshi’s hand, before he attempted to coil around the man and pull him into his embrace.
Qingshi dodged the tail, but the confinement room was too small, and he was soon entangled. Originally, he might have had the strength to contend with the Male Lead, but the Male Lead’s strength seemed even greater than before, while Qingshi’s own martial prowess had declined due to a penalty. As one grew while the other withered, he could not last ten moves against the Male Lead.
“Let go!” Qingshi grabbed the Male Lead’s arm wrapped around his waist, trying to pull it away, but it remained motionless.
At that moment, Bai Lin’s demonic voice rang out again. “Captain Ji, do not think about seeking death. I was lying to you just now. Your deputy and team members are all still alive. But if you die, they will not survive either.”
“Bai Lin!” Qingshi clenched his fists tightly, his voice weeping blood.
“Captain Ji is a person of deep feeling; surely you would not want so many people to die with you.”
Qingshi’s eyes were filled with resentment, but the strength of his struggle slowly faded. A crystal teardrop rolled from the corner of his reddened eye onto the pale skin of Jia’s arm.
Jia, who possessed a naturally low body temperature, paused because of the scalding tear on his arm. Using the hand that could easily tear through the tough skin of prey, he carefully tilted his partner’s chin up. The large hand almost encompassed the entire lower half of Qingshi’s face. Although his partner’s eyes were lowered, Jia still noticed the tear tracks at the corner of his eye.
Jia leaned down, his slender tongue gently brushing over the reddened skin. A slightly salty taste with a hint of bitterness was transmitted through his taste buds to his brain.
“Qing?” A flash of heartache appeared in his eyes. Jia did not understand why his partner would shed such a sorrowful drop of water.
“Captain Ji. Cracker.” Bai Lin wanted to say more, but the intercom was smashed by Jia’s tail, emitting a sharp, hollow ring.
“Qing!” Jia called out Qingshi’s name as he leaned close to his ear, as if seeking credit. It was the sound coming from this thing that made his partner sad. Did he not do a wonderful job?
Unaccustomed to such intimate contact, Qingshi silently pressed his hand against the Male Lead’s approaching face, attempting to distance them. To his surprise, the Male Lead extended his tongue and licked his gloved hand. The slender tongue passed between his fingers, wrapping around each long finger one by one, and even seemed to want to take them all into his mouth.
The thin gloves could not entirely block the sensation. That slight dampness felt elusive, like scratching an itch through a boot. Qingshi’s whole body trembled, and he quickly withdrew his hand to distance himself, only for his wrist to be gripped tightly.
Jia’s thick, powerful arm crossed in front of Qingshi, pinning his partner in his embrace while bringing the long fingers to his mouth. With a sharp rip, the silver-white gloves and the combat suit, made of the same material, were torn by Jia’s sharp teeth like a paper tiger.
The fair, smooth fingers were exposed to the air. Jia’s throat bobbed a few times, and under Qingshi’s disbelieving gaze, he took them into his mouth. The receptors on the fingers clearly fed back the sensation of being wrapped in the cool, moist warmth of the mouth. Like a child who had received candy, Jia made wet, sucking sounds. The bright red tongue intertwined with the fair knuckles, toyed with them one by one.
Qingshi’s raven-feather eyelashes trembled slightly, and his thin lips parted, wanting to stop the Male Lead’s excessive behavior. “You, do not do this.”
It was too much. He felt his mind split in two by disgust and a numbing itch, stirred into a mess.
Jia raised his eyelids, his deep green pupils reflecting a flushed Qingshi. A wicked curve rose on the corners of his mouth as he removed the fingers he had sucked into a mess from his mouth. A viscous silver thread hung precariously from the pale fingertips.
Unable to bear the sight, Qingshi closed his eyes and turned his head, his earlobes so red they looked as if they might drip blood.
Suddenly, the snake tail passing between his legs hoisted Qingshi upward. With his feet completely off the ground, he sat on the snake tail, his back leaning against Jia’s chest. A turn of the head would bring him into contact with Jia’s cheek. Qingshi’s fingers curled; he was at a loss, his heart filled with unease.
Jia released Qingshi’s wrist. Sensing his partner’s unease, he nuzzled Qingshi’s exquisite earlobe as if to comfort him. The slight itch near his ear caused Qingshi to flinch involuntarily. He lowered his head forward to pull away, but Jia would not allow his partner’s escape. His left hand accurately gripped Qingshi’s chin, lifting his head upward.
His slender neck stretched, tracing an alluring curve. Thick, powerful fingers with distinct knuckles took advantage of Qingshi’s lack of defense to force their way into the hot, moist mouth, slowly and gently rubbing against the tender surface of the tongue.
A slight gagging sensation rose in his throat, and the faint red at the corners of his eyes gradually deepened into a dark red. Qingshi grabbed Jia’s intrusive left hand with both of his, trying to push it out of his mouth, but he could not budge it.
Blurred sounds emerged from the mouth that had been toyed with until it was bright red. “Get, get out.”
The sapphire eyes were stained dark with tears. Qingshi grew desperate and bit down on the fingers playing havoc in his mouth with all his strength. Two neat rows of teeth clamped onto the pale fingers. His cheeks bulged, showing the significant effort he was making, but it only managed to stop the fingers’ movement. Not even a faint white mark was left on the surface of the two fingers.
Following a soundless, light laugh, Qingshi felt his right ear sink into a moist, cold swamp. A cold snake tongue probed into the ear canal, moving in and out, mimicking a certain motion. Though it was not a particularly sensitive area, Qingshi felt as if he had been struck by lightning. His lean waist rose in a subtle arch, trembling finely in the air.
It was too much! A hand nearly twice the size of Qingshi’s gripped the flesh of his waist through the combat suit, rubbing slowly. It seemed as though at any second, short, sharp nails would slice through that thin barrier to rest fully against his fair, powerful abdominal muscles.
Qingshi trembled uncontrollably. Although he had expected what the Male Lead in his mating heat would do based on Bai Lin’s words, he still could not help but feel fear when the strange physical reactions actually appeared.
Qingshi raised a foot and stepped on Jia’s snake tail, trying to use the leverage to pull himself out of the embrace, but the slippery scales gave him no such opportunity. He could not escape. From the moment he gave up resistance due to Bai Lin’s threat; no, perhaps from the moment he stepped into this confinement room, he no longer had any room to turn back.
Qingshi stared at the pitch-black ceiling above, his heart a mixture of complex emotions. Even the feeling of learning he suffered from genetic collapse was not as complicated as this moment.
The fingers that had made a mess of his mouth finally withdrew. That hand slid down his chin, tearing open the combat suit at his neck. His flexible neck was exposed to the air. Qingshi could not see the flecks of crimson appearing in the emerald eyes of the Jia behind him. He could only feel something touching the side of his neck, and in the next moment…
Sharp fangs pierced the skin of his neck. First came a prick of pain, followed by cold liquid being injected into his veins. Jia injected the unique hormone of the Heinos Naga into his partner’s body; it would help the mate of a Heinos Naga better accept their everything.
Qingshi threw his head back and involuntarily opened his mouth, his nose and mouth exhaling scorching air. After his body jolted a few times, he slumped weakly into Jia’s embrace. The deep blue light in his eyes became unfocused, and his limbs hung limply in the air, completely reliant on Jia’s support to keep from falling.
He felt as if he had been placed inside a furnace, with flames consuming his body. Jia held his partner, whose body temperature was rising, and sniffed the cold fragrance on him, letting out a satisfied sigh from his throat.
“Qing.” Amidst the wet, sticky sounds in the pitch-black confinement room, a clear, articulate call rang out.
