Love Notebook of a Reclusive Beautiful Boy - Chapter 28
Chapter 28
After Jiang Sheng finished saying this to Du Yu, he let him lean against him for a while longer.
He didn’t know what Du Yu was thinking; he just leaned quietly against Jiang Sheng without speaking.
Jiang Sheng couldn’t see his face clearly, but his slightly warm breath puffed against his neck, making Jiang Sheng feel a constant, itching sensation.
Just as he was about to speak, a knock sounded at the door—it was Mother Fang’s voice: “Mr. Jiang, are you asleep?”
Jiang Sheng gently nudged Du Yu and whispered, “A-Yu, get up.”
Only then did Du Yu lift his head slightly.
Jiang Sheng stood up and went to open the door.
“What is it?”
Mother Fang smiled kindly, “I’m sorry, Mr. Jiang. Mr. Du said he saw that A-Yu didn’t eat much this evening and was afraid he might be hungry at night, so he told me to bring up some food.”
Standing behind her was a maid holding a tray with a bowl of noodles topped with a fried egg, covered by a transparent lid.
“Come in.”
Jiang Sheng pulled the door open.
Mother Fang smiled politely and walked in with the maid. She waved her hand, signaling the maid to place the food on the table.
“A-Yu, are you hungry? This is shredded meat noodles. Eat it, and then you can go to sleep.”
Du Yu answered honestly, “A-Yu is not hungry.”
He really wasn’t very hungry, but he had indeed eaten little at Xiao Lang Ting; perhaps it was because there were no dishes he liked on the table, and the round table was so large that many of the dishes were too far away.
Although he ate very little, it had only been two or three hours, so he didn’t feel much hunger.
But Mother Fang naturally hoped he would eat more. Since this meal was ordered by Du Yanyu, she couldn’t disobey his wishes, so she said amiably, “A-Yu, be obedient and eat these noodles.”
She then turned to Jiang Sheng and said, “Mr. Jiang, please watch A-Yu finish this later. Things were knocked over and broken downstairs again; I have to go inventory everything, so I’ll leave this to you.”
Jiang Sheng replied, “I understand. You go and get busy.”
“Then I’ll leave it to you, Mr. Jiang.” After she finished, she said to Du Yu, “A-Yu, be obedient. Mr. Jiang will be watching you finish eating later.”
As she finished, she glanced toward Jiang Sheng.
Du Yu followed her gaze to Jiang Sheng, who was standing by the piano, then changed his tune and said obediently, “A-Yu will finish…”
“Ah, that’s right. Our A-Yu is truly the most obedient.”
She smiled, signaled for the maid to leave, and said, “Then I’ll be going down first.”
“Mm.”
The noodles on the table were still steaming. Jiang Sheng closed the door and walked over.
Seeing Jiang Sheng approach, Du Yu assumed he was there to watch him eat.
Without a moment’s hesitation, he scooped up a mouthful with his chopsticks and, despite Jiang Sheng’s cry of “Wait a moment,” he bit right down…
One second later, he looked at Jiang Sheng and said pitifully, “A-Sheng… it hurts…”
“Did you burn yourself?”
Jiang Sheng sat down beside him, feeling helpless.
Fortunately, Du Yu hadn’t swallowed the whole mouthful.
He gently pinched Du Yu’s chin, “Let me see.”
Du Yu lifted his chin slightly, revealing his fair neck and clear collarbones.
He looked at Jiang Sheng, his brows furrowed in pain, his innocent eyes looking pitiful because of the sting. It was truly a pitiful sight.
Jiang Sheng looked at his lips; they were flushed red from the heat, and because they were slightly moist, they looked incredibly glistening and tempting.
Jiang Sheng stared and suddenly lost his focus for a moment.
If he didn’t look at Du Yu’s face and only looked at his lips, it would involuntarily, faintly, stir up some sort of carnal desire.
Jiang Sheng didn’t look for long; he let go of his chin and looked away, “It’s alright, A-Yu. Just wait a moment, it will be better.”
A burning sensation rose on Du Yu’s lips. This feeling was the same as when his hand had been pricked by glass shards and Mother Fang had bandaged his wound.
Although the injury wasn’t serious, the burning sensation was always uncomfortable.
He tugged at Jiang Sheng’s sleeve and said in a very soft voice, “A-Sheng, blow for A-Yu…”
He lifted his chin slightly, his lips close to Jiang Sheng, trying to get him to blow air on it like last time.
Jiang Sheng had blown on it very comfortably last time.
He innocently thought that blowing would make the pain go away.
The burning sensation was on the inside of Du Yu’s lips, so while leaning toward Jiang Sheng, Du Yu also slightly parted them.
His hand tugging at Jiang Sheng’s sleeve didn’t let go; he was leaning very close, his face less than twenty centimeters away from Jiang Sheng’s.
If Jiang Sheng dared to turn his head, they would almost be face-to-face, nose-to-nose.
Du Yu didn’t feel that anything was inappropriate at all; he just wanted Jiang Sheng to blow air on his lips, keeping them slightly parted while looking up with his head tilted.
He looked exactly like he was asking for a kiss.
Jiang Sheng knew he was very close, so when he turned his head to speak, he deliberately leaned back slightly.
It wasn’t because of anything else; it was just that Jiang Sheng didn’t like being this close to people when talking.
But even so, when he turned his head, he was still very, very close to Du Yu. His fair face, skin that could be called perfect, with pores barely visible to the naked eye—he opened his eyes wide, pure, unblemished eyes looking at Jiang Sheng, without a single shred of other thoughts.
Jiang Sheng was not a man of strong desires. On the contrary, he was quite indifferent in that regard; he had never had a girlfriend or been in a relationship.
In high school, when Song Jiahao and the rest of the dorm were watching adult films, he never went to join in.
Because he found it boring, they always teased Jiang Sheng for living like an ascetic monk.
But just now, seeing Du Yu’s lips, he couldn’t admit that his thoughts had gone astray.
He cursed himself inwardly, thinking: Jiang Sheng, what are you thinking!
He was lost in thought when Du Yu tugged at his sleeve again, “A-Sheng, blow.”
He kept his chin-lifting posture, but his hand lightly tugged at Jiang Sheng’s finger.
Jiang Sheng looked at him and said tentatively, “I…”
He said only that one word before stopping, not knowing what else to say.
His mind having strayed, he seemed to have become foolish.
Jiang Sheng didn’t know how to open his mouth. After thinking for a while, he said evasively, “I’ll go look for some medicine. A-Yu, you wait a moment.”
Du Yu ignored his intentions. His way of thinking was deep-rooted; he always felt that blowing on a wound would make it stop hurting.
This was a child’s simple way of thinking, and it was hard for anyone to change it.
“A-Sheng, blow…”
Du Yu held two of his fingers and shook them lightly.
This was urging Jiang Sheng, as the burning sensation on Du Yu’s lips hadn’t dissipated, and Jiang Sheng hadn’t made a move.
Actually, it wasn’t a difficult thing. Jiang Sheng and Du Yu had already done intimate things like holding hands and hugging.
Now, just gently blowing on his mouth shouldn’t be a problem at all.
But Jiang Sheng knew that when he took Du Yu to school, brought him back, and even when he suddenly hugged Du Yu that day, his heart had been free of impure thoughts.
He had only viewed Du Yu as a child.
But just now, a thought had flashed through his mind—Jiang Sheng couldn’t say it out loud, and he dared not admit it.
What had he been regarding Du Yu as?
He clearly remembered that he had always seen him as a child.
Yes, he is just a child.
As if to prove something, Jiang Sheng recited silently in his heart.
He lowered his head, looking at the floor, silent, without saying a word.
After a long while, he looked up and looked at Du Yu again.
His previously chaotic thoughts had settled, and he had calmed down.
When he turned his gaze to Du Yu’s lips again, there were no waves in his heart.
This is the real me, Jiang Sheng.
Jiang Sheng laughed to himself, feeling that he had probably been too tired lately, which caused him to be a bit delirious for that moment.
Fortunately, his consciousness had caught up quickly.
Jiang Sheng treated that moment—that sudden quickening of his heartbeat—as nothing more than a willow catkin landing on his head, gently flicking it away from his mind.
However, some seeds, from the moment they land, are destined to grow. Even with wind and rain, even after enduring snow and ice, nothing can prevent them from quietly maturing.
He smiled slightly, lowered his head, and blew air gently.
A slightly cool breeze drifted silently between his lips, rippling through the spring of his heart, the ripples turning into a song of spring water.
Du Yu felt comfortable. He just knew it; Jiang Sheng always blew very comfortably.
Jiang Sheng blew again and again, his gaze earnest, not wanting to spare a single thought to look anywhere else.
He was gentle, and the breeze he blew was also gentle. The soft breeze brushed over his lips, as if he were about to kiss someone.
