Life After Being Claimed by the Disabled Dragon Lady - Chapter 53
It was two days later that Long Ling finally found an opportunity to leave the manor. She rode in a carriage transporting wine barrels and, upon arriving at the tavern and stepping out of the carriage, was immediately helped down by Ailolisi.
After several months apart, Ailolisi was as gentle as before, her emerald-green eyes full of worry.
“Long Ling, have you been alright these past few days? I’ve found a dragon who can help you. This is Ms. Mo Dai.”
Long Ling looked at the woman behind Ailolisi. She was dressed in luxurious, retro-style dark robes, her garments adorned with various gems. Her eyes, like her clothes, were ice-blue. She had an Eastern face, and her features looked vibrant and mature.
She was an Omega dragon, and her pheromones smelled of wild roses. At first sight, she gave a feeling of familiarity and trustworthiness.
Long Ling politely greeted her, “Hello, my name is Long Ling.”
Mo Dai looked at the adorable little silver-white dragon before her, her eyes filled with delight, but the anger in her heart burned even fiercer.
The dragons of the Arnold family were truly heinous. Her precious daughter had just come of age and was sent off to marry a dragon from the Fergus family.
What good could come from the dragons of the Fergus family? Every one of them acted wantonly, relying on their power, most of them were tyrannical and cruel. No dragon would willingly jump into such a fiery pit, yet they pushed her daughter into it.
Young dragons of the dragon race can only grow by bathing in their family’s dragon pool until they reach adulthood. In desperation, she had no choice but to send the dragon egg back to the Arnold family, giving the Matriarch a large sum of gold coins to ensure Long Ling was raised well.
However, the Matriarch took her money but failed to do what she was supposed to. Not only did she swallow all the money given to her, but she also sent her daughter to pay off a debt. This insult, she absolutely would not swallow.
If Ailolisi hadn’t returned to the Elven race and told her she had met a little dragon who looked very much like her and had the same name as her precious daughter, she wouldn’t have dared to believe that her precious daughter was already married to another dragon.
Mo Dai took Long Ling’s hand and stared into her eyes, “Long Ling, I can take you away from that woman. We can live in the Elven lands from now on. I heard Ailolisi say you enjoy gardening and cooking. Most of the elves in the Elven lands have studied cultivation, so I think you will enjoy your life there.”
Long Ling hadn’t expected the other party to be so direct. She hurriedly withdrew her hand from Mo Dai’s grasp, “Thank you for your kindness, but I cannot be so selfish. My family owes Duke Violet a lot of money. If I leave, Matriarch Grandma will be imprisoned for debt.”
Upon hearing Long Ling call the Matriarch “Grandma,” Mo Dai felt that she didn’t deserve to be Long Ling’s grandmother—just a wicked old woman who would sell her own granddaughter for profit.
Mo Dai’s tone was angry, “Don’t worry about those pieces of trash in the Arnold family. They are a bunch of selfish dragons who pushed you into the fire pit—making you marry a crippled Omega dragon—so they could continue their luxurious life. What is there to worry about with such a family?”
“I will go to the old hag of the Arnold family to resolve the debt. They must give an explanation and immediately annul the marriage contract with that crippled Omega dragon of the Fergus family!”
Long Ling slightly frowned. She didn’t like hearing the other party refer to Violet as a crippled Omega dragon. Even though Violet was usually fierce, in her heart, Violet was still perfect.
The thought of Violet being called a crippled dragon by others after her injury made Long Ling recall the darkest moments Violet had endured, and she felt a sympathetic pang of distress.
Long Ling couldn’t help but ask, “Why are you so kindly helping me?”
Mo Dai hesitated. She wanted to tell Long Ling that she was her mother, but she felt she hadn’t fulfilled her responsibility to care for Long Ling all these years. If she said it abruptly, Long Ling might not believe her, and their mother-daughter relationship needed time to develop.
Ailolisi gently said from the side, “Long Ling, Ms. Mo Dai and I sympathize with your situation. We won’t do anything to hurt you. Violet has kept you locked up in the manor for so long, completely disregarding your feelings. Do you want to be a little pet played in the palm of someone’s hand forever?”
Long Ling was grateful for Ailolisi’s help and encouragement these past few days, and she took her words to heart. She immediately shook her head, “I want to leave, but Violet’s leg injury hasn’t healed yet. I want to cure her injury before I leave. Can I postpone it for a while?”
Mo Dai couldn’t help but say, “Silly child, you are too kind. Her injury wasn’t caused by you. Why do you treat it as your responsibility? The marriage contract should be dissolved as soon as possible. Don’t delay any further.”
Long Ling pursed her lips, “But I still want to treat Violet first. I don’t want to see her confined to a wheelchair forever.”
Mo Dai considered it, “There is a special herb in the Elven treasury that can cure Violet’s leg injury. Come with me to retrieve it.”
The other party was helping her without restraint, but asking for nothing in return. Long Ling suddenly worried about escaping one danger only to fall into another.
She was not the original dragon of this world. The dragon she had spent the most time with in this world was the bad dragon mistress.
Although the bad dragon mistress had a bad temper and occasionally spanked her as punishment, she wasn’t actually that bad to her. She had food and drink, was given freedom within a certain range, and sometimes even took her out for a walk.
The Ms. Mo Dai before her—they had just met, yet she not only wanted to help her escape her predicament but was also willing to provide medicine to help treat Violet’s leg injury.
Moreover, she was clearly a dragon, so why was she so close to the Elves?
Long Ling was full of reservations, “Are you going to find my Matriarch Grandma and have her come to Violet to dissolve the marriage contract? But she really owes a lot of money, and Violet also holds military power. Will it be successful?”
Seeing the ice-blue melancholy in Long Ling’s eyes, Mo Dai lovingly ruffled Long Ling’s head, “Yes, I need to go find her. Don’t worry, I won’t let you suffer anymore. You will definitely meet a better Omega dragon in the future, and I will preside over your wedding then.”
Long Ling felt a little strange about the way Mo Dai looked at her and couldn’t help but ask, “Do you need me to do anything?”
Mo Dai shook her head and said gently, “You just need to take care of yourself and wait at the manor. I will definitely make Violet let you go.”
Seeing the certainty in her tone and attitude, Long Ling had no choice but to nod.
After they finished their discussion, Long Ling had to return to the manor. Violet wanted to see her every day after work.
Long Ling used to feel that the days in the manor were too long, but now that she thought about not being trapped in this small space anymore, she suddenly felt a sense of openness.
If the marriage contract with Violet was dissolved, she might never see Violet again. Violet’s leg injury now had a way to be treated. As long as she got the medicine from Ms. Mo Dai, she would definitely get better, right?
Long Ling took the carriage, deceived the dragon guards, and returned to the Illidan Manor.
Meanwhile, Violet was sitting in her office, having already watched the broadcast on the magic crystal ball.
In the past few days, she had noticed the little dragon’s increasingly abnormal behavior and had secretly instructed the dragon guards to keep a close watch. She hadn’t expected Long Ling to dare to secretly meet another Omega dragon behind her back.
She had originally thought that Long Ling was lonely in the manor and it was fine for her to play with an elf, but the moment the Omega dragon appeared in the scene, she finally understood. The elf was just a cover-up; the dragon Long Ling was hiding was another Omega dragon.
The other dragon was about the same height as her in dragon form, but her legs were healthy. It seemed they had long been secretly involved, and they were already getting physically close in front of the elf.
Didn’t Long Ling know that she would be her wife in the future?
They still had a marriage contract, yet Long Ling dared to have entanglements with another Omega outside behind her back!
Did Long Ling think she was disabled and couldn’t even control her dragon tail, so she made up her mind to find a healthy Omega?
Violet’s heart felt as if it had been pierced by ten thousand arrows. Never had she felt such cold despair. Her eyes flared with the fire of betrayal. Black dragon horns sprouted from the top of her head, and her sharp dragon claws crushed the magic crystal ball.
The crystal ball shattered into pieces. The broken crystals stabbed into Violet’s scarlet dragon claws, only to be crushed again into sparkling fine sand, which slid down the smooth, delicate dragon scales.
“Prepare the carriage, return to the manor immediately.”
The adjutant beside her had never seen the duke so furious and quickly ran to prepare the carriage.
After Long Ling returned to the manor, she felt a surge of sadness at the thought that she might soon be completely separated from Violet.
The future held nothing but freedom. Long Ling proactively went to the manor entrance to greet Violet.
The sunset today was exceptionally beautiful. Fiery red and golden light flowed and merged extravagantly, spread across the sky like an oil painting. The luxurious carriage rushed down the road from afar, and everything seemed like the day she first arrived at Illidan Manor.
But there were some differences. This time, she was waiting for Violet to alight from the carriage.
The carriage door was opened by a dragon guard, and Violet descended in her wheelchair. Long Ling suddenly felt a chill. Even on a hot summer day, when Violet’s gaze met hers, she felt a shiver run down her spine.
Violet waved her hand, and all the surrounding dragon guards left. Even Alena bowed and moved away.
Violet’s eyes were dark and gloomy, “Come here.”
Long Ling cautiously approached and softly called out, “Violet.”
Violet smelled the scent of another Omega’s pheromones on Long Ling. Instantly, the anger in her eyes surged.
So fond of keeping the scent of others on her—she was home and still hadn’t washed it off. Was she so eager to stay with that person forever?
She fiercely suppressed her rage, her beautiful, cold face full of sternness, “Follow me to the bathroom.”
Long Ling’s heart pounded with nervousness. She knew Violet had a habit of bathing right after coming home. She thought Violet wanted her to bathe with her, after all, they had bathed together before and done intimate things.
But Violet’s tone felt off this time. Long Ling closed the bathroom door, her fingers tightly gripping her sleeve, “Duke, do you want me to help you bathe today?”
Violet picked up her staff and pressed it against Long Ling’s chest, her eyes cold, “You are with another Omega behind my back. Are you very happy? How long have you been hiding it from me? What was that thing you hid in your pocket that day? A gift or a love letter from someone else?”
Long Ling’s chest hurt from the pressure of the cold staff. She had never seen Violet’s dragon horns emerge before. Violet’s horns were dark black, and when she was absolutely furious, red flames would wrap around them.
When was she with another Omega? She had only gone to see Ms. Mo Dai. How did Violet know she had something hidden on her?
Long Ling frantically shook her head and explained dryly, “It wasn’t a love letter, nor a gift. It was a letter from the elf.”
Violet sneered, “Using the elf’s name to cover up your betrayal, getting physically intimate with another Omega, thinking you could do it flawlessly and deceive me?”
Violet’s aura became increasingly dominant, her gaze like a sharp sword, “Long Ling, you just want a healthy Omega. You’ve been pretending for so long, and finally, you can’t keep it up. You can leave whenever you want. I don’t care at all. There are so many Alphas in the world. Do you think I truly can’t live without you?”
Long Ling was forced backward step by step by the staff in her hand until her back hit the cold tiles, completely cornered. The cold staff pressed harder, grinding against the ribs beneath her left chest, fully demonstrating Violet’s will, as if wanting to crush her fragile heart into a handful of dust.
Long Ling was in so much pain that she was close to fainting. Cold sweat broke out, and she couldn’t speak at all.
If Violet had exerted just a little more force, her protective dragon scales would have shattered completely, and the staff would have pierced a bloody hole in her flesh.
Violet wanted to hear Long Ling’s defense, but Long Ling’s silence was like an admission of everything, turning the feeling of being betrayed by the one closest to her into bitter sorrow.
Long Ling suddenly felt the pain in her chest lessen. Just as she was about to shake her head to deny it, the next second, Violet used magic to throw her into the bathtub.
She choked on the water in the bathtub, but the next second, she was pulled out by magic. She was dunked and hauled out an unknown number of times. She was soaking wet when Violet dragged her over. The entire dragon lay limply across Violet’s lap.
Violet’s cold gaze glared down at her. Long Ling’s face was pale, and her eyes were filled with watery, aggrieved mist, “I didn’t get intimate with any other Omega! I don’t want any other Omega either!”
Violet’s fingers squeezed her jaw; the chilling coldness mixed with a sense of oppression. The next second, a crisp slap landed heavily on her backside.
When Violet lost her temper, each slap was harder than the last. After the spanking, Long Ling’s backside felt like it was on fire, hurting so much that she could only whimper.
She was bound by Violet’s magic and dragged all the way to the secret chamber beneath the bedroom.
“You will stay here from now on!”
Long Ling leaned against the mountain of gold piled up, watching the light above the secret chamber gradually dim, and Violet’s figure slowly disappeared from her sight.
