I Wasn't Trying to Seduce with the Male Lead - Episode 118
Eleanor’s voice was the first to echo through this continent as she shared many things, including the book that connected her life before and after arriving here.
Throughout her long story, Lian never once opened his mouth. After she finished speaking, Eleanor nervously awaited his reaction.
‘What if he thinks I’m crazy?’
Anyone who heard her story would likely see it as a delusion. It was essentially like saying she came from outside the universe and that an alien put her into this body. He might be shocked, think she’s crazy, or simply dismiss it as a joke.
After a long pause, Lian’s lips finally moved. What he said was different from what Eleanor had expected.
“I’ve thought about it, but I don’t know. It’s difficult to understand.”
Lian ran a finger along his pale cheek and then spoke.
“One thing is certain… the person you’re talking about seems to be someone else, not me.”
She had heard him say this before. There was no doubt he meant it. And now, something else was more important to her.
“Do you believe my story is true?”
“Whatever you tell me is the truth to me.”
Lian answered without a moment’s hesitation. The look in his purple eyes didn’t seem like a lie. So, Eleanor decided to ask an even more crucial question.
“Has your heart… not changed?”
She was anxious, wondering if he was disappointed that she wasn’t the person he thought she was, and she waited for his answer.
The corners of Lian’s mouth, which had been still, began to move. Specifically, his red lips curved slightly upward.
“What are you so worried about?”
Lian tapped the center of Eleanor’s forehead with his finger and then pulled her into his arms.
“I’m just the same as always. So don’t make that face.”
Is he really completely unchanged?
“Always the same?”
“Yes.”
When she asked for confirmation, Lian nodded his head with a clear expression and brought his lips to her ear.
“As always, I’m only thinking about holding you.”
She was taken aback by how relieved she felt at his lewd words. When Eleanor narrowed her eyes and glared at him, Lian chuckled.
“I can’t help it. I’m a lecher.”
“Did you listen seriously to my story?”
Lian nodded, but Eleanor’s lips remained pouted. Lian scratched his cheek lightly and seemed to fall into thought.
“Eleanor, I…”
The normally taciturn Lian seemed to have a hard time choosing his words before he finally spoke.
“I’m often told that I have a face that makes it easy to gain the favor of women.”
He looked a bit awkward for complimenting himself. However, to describe Lian’s appearance as just that was a gross understatement.
When Eleanor agreed, he continued.
“And I was born into a family of high status. I am not lazy, but most of the things I have that are highly valued weren’t achieved through effort; they were just given to me from the start.”
Innate talent, looks, and status. In truth, he was born having received too much love from the gods.
But why was he talking about this? Eleanor leaned in, curious about where his words were heading.
“But all of that, including those things, is me. I’ve never considered that they might disappear or that I’ve stolen them from someone else.”
That’s to be expected. They are all entirely Lian’s.
“If I were to worry that you wouldn’t love me if I didn’t have these innate things, what would you say?”
“I’d say you’re worrying for no reason.”
Eleanor gave a wry smile and added, “But the Count and I are different.”
“We are not different.”
He cut her off, then laid the Eleanor in his arms down on the bed. He then climbed on top of her, as if to cover her.
“You answer me.”
Lian propped himself up with his arms on either side of Eleanor’s head.
“The night the nobles were bothering you, you stood up to them, and then you came out alone and wept, which caught my attention. That was you, wasn’t it?”
He was referring to their first meeting three years ago, something he had told her about before. Eleanor nodded slightly.
“And you came to my study, tied me up, and groped me, driving me mad for you. That was also you.”
Instead of answering, she let out a small “eek.” Lian was taking his revenge, blatantly caressing her waist. As she tried to pull away, he held her firmly and licked her ear with his red tongue. Even as she shivered from the tingling sensation, his words didn’t stop.
“And when I kiss your ear like this, you shake your body so cutely.”
As soon as he finished speaking, his lips moved down to her neck. His hand reached a more impertinent place as he marked her soft skin.
“And when I hold you and take you in my mouth like this, you part your lips and let out a sweet sigh.”
She was surprised to find herself doing exactly what he described before he even finished.
“The one whose legs were wrapped around my waist last night was also you.”
As if trying to recall the memory, Lian held her thigh with his firm arm. One by one, he retraced their past moments, guiding his hands to every sensitive part of Eleanor’s body.
When had he tamed her like this? She was surprised at how naturally she was reacting.
After making Eleanor’s body feel heavy and languid for a while, Lian’s face moved back up.
“Just as the person in your story isn’t me, you are different from the person you know.”
He emphasized each word as if to make sure she understood.
“The one who has this cute reaction to my touch is you.”
Eleanor listened to his words, entranced.
The Eleanor who came here, built a new life, and fell in love with him—that’s who she was.
“And now, I, who loves you with this feeling, am me.”
Through his words, Eleanor felt a sense of conviction. As she faced the truth she had long refused to acknowledge, a refreshing feeling spread through a corner of her heart. The small hesitation that had lingered was finally gone.
“You always get right to the point, Count.”
Eleanor looked up at Lian with a playful expression.
“Even though you don’t seem like you think much at all.”
“My evaluation of you is still low.”
Lian sighed at her words. But the corners of his mouth were still smiling.
“The story is over now. I feel so much better. Thank you for listening.”
When she spoke honestly, Lian looked delighted.
“Then, can you accept this now?”
Lian held up the ring he had been holding. Eleanor nodded and held out the finger that had been resting on his chest.
The brilliantly shining, large ring was placed on her slender finger. It fit perfectly, a surprising match. Eleanor’s eyes, looking at the ring on her hand, wavered.
‘I’m really getting married.’
Lian had completely changed Eleanor’s life. It wasn’t that she disliked her previous life or thought it was lacking. But she definitely lived with a sense of emptiness in her heart, as if she had missed something.
‘Thanks to the Count, all of that has been filled.’
A family that genuinely cared for her. And friends she could trust and rely on, and people she could lean on at any time. The ring shone with a deep, dazzling brilliance. It was so beautiful that tears welled up in her eyes.
As she tried to hold them back, Lian’s lips approached. He stuck out his red tongue, licked away a tear, and then kissed her softly.
“You must never take it off your hand again.”
Eleanor tilted her head and murmured, wondering if it would be possible to go about her daily life wearing such a large ring.
“What if thieves try to steal it?”
“I will protect you and make sure no one can come near it.”
If the most trustworthy knight in the world says so, she had no choice but to believe him. Eleanor chuckled and nodded.
Lian’s delicate jawline showed his satisfaction.
“So today… let’s agree to wear nothing but this.”
As he said this, Lian slightly pressed his body forward, as if to make his presence known. Eleanor realized that he was still positioned between her legs.
“I can’t stand it, I want you.”
