I Topped the Aloof Omega in a Scummy Alpha Novel - Chapter 50
Let’s do something hot.
Bian Yunchen was wearing a moonlight-colored dress, her hair pinned up at the back of her head, with a few wisps framing her pale, white face. Her pink lips were murmuring. Although her eyes were closed, a faint look of intoxication was evident.
Xuan Yuchi, on the contrary, felt ashamed, as if she had profaned her.
Bian Yunchen was slow in closing her eyes, and thus the object of the profanation caught her in the act.
Embarrassment and shock, like an atomic bomb exploding in her heart, terrified her, causing her to immediately roll off. Her fingers braced against the floor, leaving a streak of moisture.
“Sister Bian, I was wrong. It’s all my fault.” For some reason, she preferred to take the blame upon herself first.
Bian Yunchen, looking down at her from above, slowly squatted down, pinched her chin, and kissed her fiercely, biting her lip until it bled.
In this kiss, Xuan Yuchi tasted the intensity of this love; a trace of bloodiness was as terrifying as the night itself. During the day, everyone managed to act like a normal person, but once night fell, the darkness became the best disguise.
Xuan Yuchi thought that after tonight, she would pretend nothing had happened and continue to maintain Bian Yunchen’s image of aloof purity and isolation.
Bian Yunchen let go of her, carefully scrutinized her expression, and upon seeing her evasive eyes and unconcealed shame, suddenly sneered, “Do you think I’m degrading myself?”
She didn’t give Xuan Yuchi a chance to answer and left like a gust of cold wind, as if she had seen right through her that the person in front of her had never understood her mind.
Xuan Yuchi thought about it all night but couldn’t figure it out. Given the Bian family’s upbringing, Bian Yunchen would absolutely not do this. Could it be that she had been somewhat suppressed over the past few years?
Even so, she shouldn’t treat her like a little toy!
She went downstairs for breakfast. It seemed like another peaceful day, yet something felt different.
“Are you new?” she asked the servant who brought her breakfast.
The servant nodded. Then, Bian Fang appeared out of nowhere and said to the servant, “You are fired.”
Her voice was not quiet, as if she were making an example of her to warn others. The rest of the servants quickly lowered their heads, showing expressions that they would be cautious with their words and actions.
Xuan Yuchi put down her warm milk and asked, “What’s wrong with her?”
She quickly scanned the faces of the surrounding servants; it seemed all of them were new.
Bian Fang walked away without even looking at Xuan Yuchi.
Xuan Yuchi walked up to one servant, but that person avoided her instantly. Everyone avoided her and dared not speak to her.
Xuan Yuchi had no choice but to go back to her breakfast. She used to exchange a few words with the servants here, but now the atmosphere in the manor was as oppressive as a death.
After eating, she went for a walk outside. Even the birds flew away instantly when they saw her. She inexplicably felt isolated.
She figured that yesterday’s incident must have made Yunchen suspect betrayal, so she replaced a wave of people and gave a stern warning.
Bored, she went fishing by the pond. Even though she couldn’t catch a single fish, it was better than sitting still and letting her mind wander.
As for the things she was imagining, they were quite shameful. While she thought last night was ridiculous, she couldn’t help but imagine herself sleepwalking and stumbling into Bian Yunchen. The more she thought about it, the more she felt like a hypocritical person.
Bian Fang appeared beside her again, silently and unknowingly: “Someone from the Conservative Party will come to see you later. Don’t say anything careless, don’t agree to anything they ask, just play dumb.”
Xuan Yuchi nodded, wondering why the Conservative Party was looking for her.
The person who came was named Marcy, and by her demeanor, she appeared to be an official. Xuan Yuchi originally invited her to chat by the fish pond, so she could keep an eye on her fishing rod, but Marcy immediately grew angry, saying that what she needed to discuss with Xuan Yuchi was serious business, not a game.
Xuan Yuchi then moved with her to the conference room, waited for the servant to serve the tea, and asked her to continue.
She hadn’t seen anyone from the outside for too long, so even if Marcy was a little strange-tempered, she was curious if Marcy had anything worthwhile to say.
Marcy said seriously, “Your aunt is now an Opposition Party Member.”
Xuan Yuchi knew which one she was referring to, but she wondered why Xuan Weiming’s career progression was so fast this lifetime. According to her last life’s timeline, she should be fighting on the intelligence frontlines right now.
Marcy asked, “What is your opinion on this?”
Xuan Yuchi shook her head, “I’m not familiar with her.”
Marcy judged that Xuan Yuchi wasn’t lying and continued, “Her influence is very negative. She exaggerates things and incites the public’s hatred toward the ruling party, all for the sake of disrupting social stability.”
After speaking, she scrutinized Xuan Yuchi’s reaction.
Xuan Yuchi asked, “And then?”
She felt that Marcy had a purpose for seeing her, but Marcy seemed constipated and couldn’t get to the point.
Marcy asked, “How do you view her actions?”
Xuan Yuchi deliberately repeated her words: “Her influence is very negative.”
Seeing that Xuan Yuchi had expressed her stance, Marcy said, “You are her niece. We want you to approach her and assassinate her when you get the chance.”
The world really is an amateur operation (lit. a makeshift theater troupe). The Conservative Party found her, yet they asked her to assassinate Xuan Weiming directly instead of having her infiltrate Xuan Weiming’s side to extract important information. The Conservative Party was truly spoiled by the heavens.
“Look at me. I can’t even leave this place. Do I look like a capable killer-spy?” Xuan Yuchi sighed.
Marcy said, “As long as you kill Xuan Weiming, you will be a hero within the party. Who would dare to keep you under house arrest then?”
It probably wouldn’t be that simple.
Xuan Yuchi asked, “What if I don’t help you?”
Marcy replied coldly, “Then both you and Bian Yunchen will suffer.”
See? She knew it. She had no choice.
The next day, Bian Fang personally drove her to a remote mountainous village. The Conservative Party gave her a new identity, pretending she was an acquaintance pulled in by Bian Yunchen to serve as the producer for the new season of Go Forward Bravely.
The place was called Shoucun (Guard Village). Marcy told her that this place had been secretly subverted by Xuan Weiming’s people. The local villagers pretended to be extreme conservatives, aiming to smear the Conservative Party’s image on camera.
Speaking of which, the investment behind the program Go Forward Bravely was complicated. Although the show appeared very Alpha-centric, it was actually supported by Opposition Party funding. Many Alpha celebrities who appeared on the show had their public image shattered and were disliked by the audience.
It was rumored that one of the show’s planners was a rare species—an Alpha who was super devoted to his wife.
There was also the current chief producer, Morandi, a Beta who openly supported Omegas leaving their families.
Before Xuan Yuchi’s feet touched the ground of Shoucun, Bian Fang gave her a silver bracelet.
The Bian Corporation had recently acquired a trendy brand whose designer had nearly ten million followers on Instagram. The designer posted a sketch of her new inspiration, hinting that the design was inspired by the love story of her friend in the entertainment industry. Bian Yunchen subsequently liked the Instagram post, which sparked widespread discussion.
Xuan Yuchi had retrieved her phone after leaving the manor and naturally saw this. When she put on the bracelet, she felt like she had received a dog tag.
She hadn’t expected to meet Afan here. Her little assistant told her that Afan was the follow-up PD. Xuan Yuchi couldn’t help but feel self-conscious and didn’t dare say a word to Afan, as Bian Fang was right behind her, acting like Bian Yunchen’s personal human surveillance camera.
The guests needed to stay in Shoucun. After being humiliated along the way, they were finally taken in by a widowed old woman, who asked everyone to call her Grandma Mai (Mac Po Po).
Marcy had specifically warned her to be careful of this old woman. She was the actual ruler of Shoucun, had killed her Alpha wife when she was young, and was malicious and good at pretense.
Xuan Yuchi had heard about this person from Huo Xiaoli; apparently, she had been taken in by her in her previous life too.
The guest was an Alpha. Seeing the bracelet on Xuan Yuchi’s hand, she took advantage of a break while the cameraman was fixing the equipment to cheekily ask Xuan Yuchi if Bian Yunchen’s lips were especially soft.
Xuan Yuchi replied, “I don’t know about that, but your mouth is particularly foul.”
Jiang Qu’s face darkened. She called Xuan Yuchi a pathetic Alpha and said she despised people like her the most. She also said of Bian Yunchen, “How can an Omega get so famous? Isn’t it just because everyone wants to sleep with her?”
The last sentence was too vulgar. Xuan Yuchi slapped her after hearing it.
The camerawoman who was fixing the camera didn’t tell Jiang Qu that the camera was still recording while she was doing the repair.
The live broadcast room saw unprecedented traffic; half the country tuned in to watch Xuan Yuchi and Jiang Qu fight.
While they were fighting, Bian Fang quietly made a call and asked Bian Yunchen if he should step in and help.
After receiving an affirmative reply, Bian Fang turned off the camerawoman’s camera, grabbed Jiang Qu’s hair, dragged her outside, and beat her up.
Bian Fang looked gentle and refined on the surface but had actually competed in boxing. Bian Fang left the person bruised and swollen while Xuan Yuchi was calmly eating sunflower seeds nearby.
Because such a major incident occurred, the production team replaced the guest. The new guest was Bian Yunchen herself, the person who had been the subject of the argument.
On camera, the PD interviewed her about the reason for coming. Bian Yunchen chuckled and said it was because someone she wanted to see was here. She then pulled Xuan Yuchi into the frame and asked her if the knock she took on her forehead hurt.
Since it was daytime, Bian Yunchen had returned to the Bian Yunchen that Xuan Yuchi was familiar with.
Xuan Yuchi relaxed and said, “I’m fine.”
However, her eyes still dared not meet Bian Yunchen’s gaze directly.
In the middle of the night, the cold wind made people shiver.
Xuan Yuchi crept towards the woods.
Xuan Yuchi: [What is actually in the cave? It’s so dangerous for me to be alone this late at night.]
The System insisted she go to a cave now, saying there was something inside that could help restore her memories from previous lives.
The System also gasped, as it heard the footsteps of a second person.
System: [Don’t panic yet.]
Xuan Yuchi: [???]
The crunching sound of fallen leaves disturbed the birds in the trees.
Xuan Yuchi turned around, and a dazzling, strong light shone into her eyes. She instinctively closed them, and then someone embraced and kissed her.
Smelling the familiar scent, she relaxed and even began to kiss back.
“That’s enough,” she gently pushed Bian Yunchen away, her hand still around the other person’s waist.
It was quite cold here. Bian Yunchen had only come out in a nightgown; she shouldn’t catch a cold.
Bian Yunchen buried her head in Xuan Yuchi’s neck, saying in a muffled voice, “I’ve missed you so much these past few days.”
Xuan Yuchi had a misconception, as if she wasn’t talking about “these past few days” but “these past few years.”
Xuan Yuchi patted her back: “Are you under too much pressure and feeling a bit depressed?”
Hearing Xuan Yuchi’s words, Bian Yunchen almost wanted to laugh. Was Xuan Yuchi only now realizing how incredibly suppressed her life was?
With a forceful move, they rolled onto the ground together. Bian Yunchen looked up at Xuan Yuchi, who was now above her, and cooed, “I’m so cold.”
Let’s do something hot.
