I Topped the Aloof Omega in a Scummy Alpha Novel - Chapter 23
I want to be buried there.
The sedan sped along the winding dirt path. The fog in the mountains grew thicker. At a fork in the road, Huo Xiaoli slammed on the brakes, finding it difficult to choose which path to take.
Jessica: “Patriarch, we lost them.”
In the back seat, Bian Yunchen nodded slightly, her icy gaze fixed on the window, seemingly trying to pierce the thick fog.
Slowly, a smile spread in her eyes—enchanting and sickly.
The car stopped on a plain, and a light rain began to fall, dampening Bian Yunchen’s shoulder. She walked toward the distant white, shadowless tower without a second thought.
Jessica stayed by the car; her qualifications were not enough to enter the Shadowless Tower.
The Bian clan members standing on both sides of the Shadowless Tower’s main entrance possessed extraordinary skills. They had guarded this place for over a decade, never leaving for a day.
“Patriarch,” the guard bowed.
Bian Yunchen paused. The guard stepped forward to unlock the door. Light shone in, making the floor tiles gleam, devoid of any dust.
Her silhouette disappeared around the corner of the staircase, and the guard closed the heavy door.
An elderly person with white hair lay in bed, eyes closed and concentrating. Hearing footsteps from above, they slightly opened their eyes, then closed them again.
Bian Yunchen entered the bedroom without knocking, stood by the elder’s bed, and softly called out: “Senior.”
The elder ignored her, pretending to be asleep.
Bian Yunchen suddenly let out a laugh, tinged with cutting sarcasm: “Does Senior truly enjoy being locked underground?”
Cannot die, cannot truly live.
This was the punishment Heaven inflicted upon the elder. Their hand, with protruding veins, clenched. Leaning on the bed, they sat up and angrily said: “And what are you?”
Bian Yunchen: “Don’t be nervous. I’m here to make a deal with you.”
Xuan Yuchi had been very sleepy lately, as if twenty-three hours of the day were spent in bed.
During the remaining hour, she couldn’t see clearly. It was as if someone came to feed her, help her to the restroom, clean her body, and then put her back on the bed, where she would immediately fall back into a daze.
System 666 had called Xuan Yuchi many times, occasionally using electric shocks, but couldn’t wake her up.
System 666 was complaining bitterly. How did it end up with such a difficult mission out of the thousands available? The reason for the difficulty, however, wasn’t Xuan Yuchi.
A yacht approached Fengxia Island. Xiao Qi was waiting at the dock: “Patriarch, if we continue using that medicine, I’m afraid it will be bad for Miss Xuan’s health.”
Bian Yunchen’s steps were swift. The rush of heat made her feel uneasy: “Then stop it.”
She took a shower at the hotel and changed into a white satin fishtail dress. Her slightly curled hair fell over her chest, like an unscented camellia flower.
The elevator reached the top floor of the hotel. V. Hotel’s top floor was originally a conference hall, but it had been converted into a large apartment after Bian Yunchen took over.
After exiting the elevator, there was another door. Bian Yunchen stood outside, her fingertips touching her slightly aching gland.
Long-term injection of suppressants had caused her body’s functions to become erratic. Her rut hadn’t come for a long time, but now, even she could smell the scent of her pheromones.
The door was opened. Xuan Yuchi groggily opened her eyes and tried to get up, but her wrists were pulled taut by iron chains. Only then did she realize what the “clink” she had heard earlier was.
She saw a white figure walk toward her and sit down silently across from her.
“Sister Bian, is that you?” Because her vision was blurry, her tone was timid.
Seeing her current limp state, Bian Yunchen instantly leaned forward, pinched her chin, and questioned: “Are you acting for me again?”
Before going to Yuebei, Xuan Yuchi was an A-class Alpha. But after she went to Yuebei, her physical examination reports showed that her combat power was even lower than that of the lowest-level Omega.
What happened in between, Bian Yunchen didn’t know. The recovery supplements she had someone feed Xuan Yuchi these past few days couldn’t possibly have had no effect at all.
Xuan Yuchi spoke weakly: “What are you talking about… Sister Bian, I can’t see clearly. What’s wrong with my eyes?”
Can’t see?
Bian Yunchen frowned. How could this be?
The supplements she chose were worth a fortune, precisely to ensure not a single side effect.
Bian Yunchen’s gaze fell on Xuan Yuchi’s pale face. Her lips, though not dry, lacked any color.
Even if Xuan Yuchi was now a useless Alpha, for Bian Yunchen in rut, her instinctive attraction made it impossible for her to look away.
The throbbing pain in her gland was gradually replaced by a feeling of emptiness. Bian Yunchen squeezed Xuan Yuchi’s sweating chin and gently bit her lip.
Xuan Yuchi’s eyes widened instantly, but unfortunately, she still couldn’t see clearly.
Yet, her other senses were incredibly sharp. She tasted a sweet, moist flavor from Bian Yunchen’s mouth, like sucking on a lollipop.
Hot, so hot…
Her body, gradually heating up, tempted her to kiss other parts of Bian Yunchen. The skin, as smooth as jade, felt like plunging into a mound of snow upon contact—the cool, sweet, icy scent of snow accumulated in the mountain forest, melting on her tongue.
She wanted more, but was restricted by the iron chains on her limbs.
The aroused Alpha knelt between the Omega’s legs, pleading irrationally: “Sister Bian, give it to me… please.”
She truly felt miserable. The heat building up in her body was about to steam her alive. She wanted to tear off her clothes and bury herself in the mountain snow.
But Bian Yunchen, she didn’t want to.
The kissing alone was enough to satisfy Bian Yunchen. Suppressing a smile, she lifted Xuan Yuchi’s chin, watched the tears flow from her frustration, and a sense of vengeful pleasure rippled in her heart.
“Liar.”
She suddenly said fiercely. An Alpha deeply in love with an Omega would emit unusual pheromones when aroused, but Bian Yunchen didn’t smell any.
After Bian Yunchen left, Xuan Yuchi didn’t immediately fall back asleep, instead painfully curling up on the bed.
System: [666, Host, can you hear me?]
Xuan Yuchi: [I need suppressants…]
System: [Drawing a prize for you now. Please complete the mission instruction…]
Xuan Yuchi: [Are you trying to anger me to death? How am I supposed to crawl to the living room now?]
System: [Then let’s draw one for unlocking the chains!]
System: [Drawing a prize for you now. Please complete the mission instruction…]
Xuan Yuchi: [666, are you doing this on purpose?!]
Xuan Yuchi: [How could my phone possibly be with me right now?]
System 666 fell silent with worry.
Looking at its host who was being tormented to the brink of death, it reached a conclusion.
System: [Logically speaking, with your current mission progress, the prize-drawing system should be more advanced, effective, and humane, unless…]
Xuan Yuchi, half-dead: [Unless what?]
System: [The prize-drawing system is smart. If you are going through an important plot point, and the prize result would make you deviate from the plot, then it will activate its defense mechanism.]
Xuan Yuchi was speechless and simply started counting sheep, trying to force herself to sleep.
A quarter of an hour passed, and the sweat seeping from her back soaked a large patch of the bedsheet.
It was time for dinner. This time, Xiao Qi came to deliver the meal. The employee opened the door, and Xiao Qi personally carried a bowl of restorative soup and a bowl of wonton noodles.
“I have a fever,” Xuan Yuchi weakly looked at her.
Xiao Qi immediately walked over to her, squatted down, and reached out to check her forehead temperature.
“Call a doctor!” Xiao Qi yelled to the employee outside the door.
The small clinic on Fengxia Island, and the doctor, were also members of the Bian family. They had been working here since the Bian family acquired Fengxia Island, usually treating minor injuries for tourists or handling sudden emergencies.
The doctor examined Xuan Yuchi’s condition, his face grave: “She needs to be sent outside the island.”
Xiao Qi told the employee to ask the Patriarch.
At 7 PM, a yacht sped away under the dark blue night sky.
Xuan Yuchi leaned sickly against the seat. Bian Yunchen, beside her, said in a deep voice: “You had better actually be sick this time.”
She remembered that several times in middle school, Xuan Yuchi had faked illness to skip class. Her high temperature was real, but as soon as the leave slip was approved and she lay down in her bedroom, she would be completely fine.
Xuan Yuchi even bragged to Bian Yunchen, saying she found a folk remedy online that could instantly cause a fever, and she had already prepared the antidote and kept it in her bedroom.
She was later found out because one time, Xuan Yuchi couldn’t stay put in the bedroom, so she climbed out the window to go watch a movie. During that time, the Xuan family was having some conflict with a major clan. Huo Tian found her daughter missing and thought Xuan Yuchi had been kidnapped, causing a huge fuss… In the end, it was Bian Yunchen, who was home from school, who found her at the cinema.
Huo Tian saw her daughter was fine. Although she sensed something was amiss, she turned a blind eye. However, Xuan Ling looked through her and Bian Yunchen’s chat history while Xuan Yuchi was asleep.
The next day, Xuan Yuchi couldn’t sit down to go to school.
But for Xuan Yuchi, it wasn’t a loss. She was angry with Xuan Ling during that time and went to stay at Yunchen’s house.
Despite being tough-mouthed, someone still personally applied medicine for her, and with a cold face, searched the internet for a few cold jokes to coax her to sleep.
Even Yunchen’s mother, hearing that Xuan Ling was so harsh on her daughter, felt some pity for Xuan Yuchi and let her stay for a few extra days.
Actually, Xuan Yuchi didn’t particularly like the atmosphere at Yunchen’s house. They weren’t allowed to talk during meals, and food absolutely couldn’t be spilled on the table, or they would be scolded.
She also couldn’t watch TV, play games, or bother Yunchen… or she would be scolded.
But she was very happy. Being near Yunchen, she felt as sweet as if she had eaten honey every day.
It wasn’t until Xuan Yuchi differentiated into an Alpha that she persistently pestered Yunchen to do a pheromone compatibility test with her.
The moment she got the report and saw their compatibility was 100%, Xuan Yuchi finally understood; everything had a trace.
The yacht docked, and the group quickly got into an SUV. A taxi followed shortly after.
Outside the hospital room, the chief physician pushed up his glasses, re-examining the report.
This Alpha had many minor ailments, but not enough to cause vision problems and fever.
“She might need to be observed for a while longer,” the chief physician said.
Bian Yunchen glanced into the room. Xuan Yuchi was on an IV drip, her face flushed. She seemed delirious from the fever, muttering to herself.
“Have one extra person on duty in each department, and if there’s any anomaly, mobilize the best hospital resources immediately,” Bian Yunchen instructed.
The chief physician nodded and proceeded to notify the staff to arrange shifts.
After leaving Xuan Yuchi’s room in the afternoon, Bian Yunchen had taken another shower, again changing into a white fishtail dress. Her hair was coiled up with a black wooden hairpin.
She sat down by Xuan Yuchi’s bed, used a wet wipe to clean the sweat from Xuan Yuchi’s face, then held her hand, her thumb rubbing the back of her hand, pausing at the spot where the IV needle was inserted.
Xuan Yuchi was genuinely asleep this time and couldn’t hear Bian Yunchen bitterly say: “If you dare to lie to me again this time, you’ll really be dead.”
In the middle of the night, when all was quiet.
Xuan Yuchi suddenly opened her eyes. Her body was no longer hot, and her vision was back. She looked completely fine.
System: [666, Host, we’re off the island now. Hurry and escape!]
