I Only Raised Men for Revenge - Chapter 0
“Ted. I don’t believe in love.”
‘Even so, I’ve come to love you. Is it okay for me to do this? Am I allowed to love you?’
Silver hair faintly brushed against Sesenia’s fingertips. The man knelt down, pressing his cheek against her hand. The ticklish sensation wasn’t just from the touch of her fingertips. His eyes were moist with tears. Unfitting for his large frame, he desperately desired her.
“Then, instead of love, possess me. I can do anything for you. So, Master, please fully possess me.”
“No. I’ve used you enough.”
“No. Use me more. Break me down. So that my final destination, with nowhere else to go, can be you.”
“No…”
“Are you going to abandon me? After saving me, are you now going to abandon me? Why? Why?”
Sesenia slowly released his hand. But his long fingers burrowed between hers, trying to intertwine them at all costs. Like vines wrapping around her pale hand, his scarred hand complicated her heart.
“I’m not abandoning you. I’m realizing our place. Ted. I only intended to raise you to the position of Emperor to use you.”
“So, there’s no need to use me anymore?”
“No.”
“You said you would become Empress. You said you would stay by my side. So, I endured all those moments, but why… why are you only thinking of leaving? I will become Emperor. And I will offer this country at your feet. So, please don’t leave.”
He couldn’t let go. Sesenia looked at him with a troubled expression.
Born of the Emperor’s bloodline, but a forsaken child. Sesenia had rescued him. Not for the sake of a grand cause. But simply as a tool for her revenge against the friend who had stolen her husband and deceived her. And for herself, who had died because of them.
“I intended to use you. You already know that. But why…”
“Because I don’t think I can live without you.”
Sesenia sighed and looked at him. Ted slowly rose from his seat and embraced her tightly.
“So, don’t go. I’ll bring you anything you want. Even if it means taking the Emperor’s head.”
“Okay, Ted.”
“Stay here as my Master. I’ll come back. You can’t leave, okay?”
“Okay.”
“Praise me for doing well.”
Stepping back from Ted’s embrace, Sesenia stood on tiptoe and stroked his hair.
“You did well.”
“Keep, keep staying here. ”
“Okay. I’ll be here.”
She hadn’t expected him to become this obsessed. Was it because she had at least allowed him to live like a human, after he had never lived like one? Was it a problem that she had always kept him by her side because she needed him? Whatever the reason, Ted’s obsession grew stronger with each passing day. Sesenia quietly watched him.
Only after hearing her words did he seem relieved, and Ted slowly stepped back.
“I need to go where I need to be Master won’t be angry, right?”
“Okay. Go. I’ll come find you.”
“…You have to come. Definitely. Don’t hate me.”
“Okay.”
Only after being reassured again and again did Ted go over the window.
“Ha…”
As if they had been watching the scene from before, two people appeared simultaneously.
“Why do you keep such a simpleton by your side? Besides the fact that his bloodline is royal. He’s such a loser.”
“You used to acknowledge Teddy.”
“Now that I’ve returned as the one who will be king, it’s frustrating. Why, why are you worrying about a guy like that when I’m here? I love you, Nia.”
“Don’t be ridiculous. Teddy is better than you, brother.”
They were identical twins. So difficult to see as human, it could be inferred that if elves existed, they would look like them, like humans from another world. Pale sky-blue hair and snow-white faces. Other than the length of their hair, there was nothing different about them, and they naturally clung to Sesenia’s side.
The twin siblings, Silian and Pepe.
“Don’t do that, choose me. To help you with your revenge, I went to a place I never wanted to return to, even if it meant death, and killed all the obstacles. So stay by my side, Nia. If you want revenge, I’ll give it to you.”
“Sister. We’ll do it for you. So, don’t ask anyone else and only look at us. No, only look at me. We don’t need any men. I’ll save you, Sister. So, obey me. I’ll become everything to you.”
Sesenia shook her head, looking at the smiling twins.
Twins who were exiled from their home country just because they were twins. This country was where those children had barely managed to adapt and live, and even that was about to be taken away when they were discovered. Sesenia had saved those twins.
Hoping that they might be useful to her in some way.
But Sesenia wondered if this, too, had been the wrong choice.
Following Ted, even these two were terribly obsessed with her.
“No. I’ll take care of my revenge myself.”
“Since you say so, okay. Take revenge your way. But, Nia, I don’t think I can watch you get close to others under the guise of revenge anymore.”
“Ha…”
Sesenia sighed deeply, looking at the twins who were clinging to her so stickily.
She had only raised men for revenge.
**
For Sesenia, that day was no different from any other.
‘My husband is cheating again today. It’s tiresome. Why did I marry this man? It was a marriage meant to bring happiness, but I’m not happy at all.’
Sesenia seemed to have given up on everything, devoid of emotion. Even now, heading to the Emperor’s bedchamber, she was only going to chase away the woman her husband brought to his bed every day. She felt no emotion.
If ‘that person’ hadn’t been inside, today would have been no different from any other day.
“My little bird. You are so beautiful today as well. Every moment I see you, I feel thrilled.”
“Oh, you…”
“It feels like a dream. That you are by my side. You should have been by my side from the beginning.”
As on any other day, the voices of two people were heard intimately from inside the room. Sesenia quietly looked at the room, seemingly without any emotion.
“Tiresome.”
She didn’t know how many women it had been already. The Emperor changed women every day. And Sesenia opened the door to that scene every day. To protect her position, she couldn’t do anything to her husband, the Emperor, so she tried to at least chase away the women.
So, she opened the door again today, but…
“Why are you so sweet? It smells like fragrant peaches.”
The Emperor was burying his face in the woman’s chest. And the woman was giggling as she watched him. Normally, she would have barged in and chased the woman away, but Sesenia’s feet wouldn’t move.
Because the woman stroking the Emperor’s hair was someone she knew very well.
“Sister…?”
Perhaps realizing that someone had entered late, the Emperor raised his head.
“Your… Your Majesty. Hehe. Empress, why is the Empress here? No, even if you are the Empress, you shouldn’t enter the Emperor’s bedchamber like this!”
“Ha… Ha. How… How could you do this? Sister too. You too! How… How…”
She knew he was trash. Cheating was not allowed here. Nevertheless, because her husband was the Emperor, there was nothing Sesenia, as the Empress, could do.
“Ah. I’ve been caught.”
Sesenia could only stare at her sister, Elzer, who spoke shamelessly.
Rather, the Emperor pitied Elzer.
“Elzer. Were you very surprised?”
“I’m okay. But what are you going to do now?”
“Huh?”
“About that.”
Elzer pointed at Sesenia, who was standing in the doorway.
As if they weren’t the ones who had cheated, Sesenia felt suffocated, seeing them act so confidently. What was she here for? Was she here to see this?
Could her own sister, her own blood-related sister, do this?
“That’s right. Empress, sister. And you’re so confident that I almost thought I was the one who did something wrong.”
“Did I do something wrong?”
“What?”
“Sesenia. You may not know this, but men are originally like that. They are inherently such animals. They can’t resist women. And he’s a powerful man, isn’t he? It’s common for a powerful man to have one or two loved ones.”
Her sister only sneered at her. Meanwhile, as if she were less than a speck of dust under her fingernails, she looked at her fingernails and shook her head.
That made Sesenia’s chest feel even more suffocated.
“Sister!!”
“Be quiet. Don’t raise your voice! Helbert. Do something about it. It’s too noisy.”
Elzer clung tightly to the Emperor’s body and twisted her body. Sesenia barely managed to suppress the nausea she felt.
“Of course. My little bird shouldn’t suffer.”
With his large hand, he gently caressed Elzer’s cheek and narrowed his brow.
“Sesenia. You should leave.”
“Leave? People will think I’m the one who cheated. Even if you are the Emperor, you can’t do this. This country is systematically designed for people to only look at each other. Rather, the more you do this, the more your reputation will plummet. Why don’t you know that, Emperor Helbert?”
“That’s why she has no charm as a woman. She’s not affectionate at all.”
The Emperor clicked his tongue and looked at Sesenia with a disgusted expression.
At least Sesenia wasn’t a fool. She wasn’t affectionate, as he said, but at least her mind was right.
“Whether I have charm or not, whether you want to keep other women by your side or not, it will be impossible as long as I’m alive, as long as I exist.”
All the anger she had suppressed until now exploded at once. If they had apologized and lowered themselves in front of her, she might have let it go. But Sesenia’s sister, Elzer, had made the worst choice.
For three years, Sesenia had never harmed the women who were by the Emperor’s side. She blamed it all on her husband, on the man who couldn’t control his lower body. She only warned the women who approached the Emperor.
There wouldn’t be a second time, so they should never come near the Emperor again.
Perhaps thinking that she would let it go this time as well, Elzer was only confident.
Her expression seemed to say, ‘What are you going to do?’
Or perhaps, she was thinking something else and acting like this. There was no way she could act so confidently in front of Sesenia otherwise. Whatever the reason, it didn’t matter to Sesenia now. She just wanted to get rid of the trash in front of her as soon as possible.
“Sister Elzer.”
