I Heard That I am a HeartBreaker - Chapter 27
Qiu Shuang saw the perpetrator, a very ordinary-looking girl, the kind that wouldn’t attract attention in a crowd. She had been pushed to the ground.
“You bitches! Aren’t you just relying on your pretty looks, your rich families, and your good grades to get close to Senior Sister? You don’t truly like Senior Sister, only I do, you lowly things!”
Song Ya adjusted the sunglasses she was wearing specifically to project an imposing aura.
“666, where did this lunatic come from?”
Qiu Shuang seriously looked at the ordinary girl’s face. She swore she didn’t know this person. She glanced at the cheap clothes the girl was wearing and didn’t believe that, given her economic situation and energy, she could have done so many things.
It sounded somewhat cruel, but poor people, even if they wanted to sabotage others, wouldn’t have the time or energy.
They were usually more inclined to spend that time on part-time jobs or focus diligently on their studies, immersed in the teachings of past bookworms.
Even a genius favored by teachers like Chen Wanjun occasionally needed to work part-time, let alone an ordinary classmate like this one? Although, students who could get into this school were generally not considered ordinary.
“Senior Sister, why can’t you look at me? I’ve tried so hard, I’m studying diligently, I waited for you in the library, why didn’t you come?”
The library? Qiu Shuang started to think. A somewhat vague name surfaced in her mind. The person seemed to be in the same major as her?
Qiu Shuang was not good at making friends, but thankfully her memory was decent. After a mental sweep, she vaguely matched a person.
It seemed she had only said a few words when the girl was being mocked. The girl was apparently from a remote mountainous area, and because the educational resources were lacking, her English pronunciation wasn’t standard. Some people with poor taste naturally didn’t miss this opportunity to ridicule her.
Qiu Shuang had long forgotten this insignificant matter. She had only been disturbed while reading, which was why she turned around and said those words:
“You enjoy superior resources, so does that give you the right to discriminate against those with fewer resources? Everyone standing in the same school means they are at the same level. You might not even do as well as her if you were in her shoes. My grades are better than all of yours, so can I casually discriminate against you all? What a bunch of boring people.”
The other girl seemed very shy and reserved. She quietly thanked Qiu Shuang and left. Too many things had happened since then, and this small incident had slowly faded from her memory.
“I really didn’t expect it to be you.”
The girl sat on the ground, “painful” tears streaming from the corners of her eyes.
This world was so unfair. She looked at those glamorous people. Why didn’t she have a beautiful face or a wealthy family? If she did, maybe she could also be an honorable part of their circle.
“I’m different from them. Senior Sister, only I truly love you. I love your pure, beautiful kindness. They are only attracted by your looks!… Only I truly love you, Senior Sister.”
“But your liking has already disrupted my life.”
The truth of the matter seemed to be sufficient here, and they still hadn’t called the police…
Qiu Shuang felt disgusted by this world with its different standards of judgment. Was everyone treating her like a fool? Or was it that only she cared about things that others considered unimportant?
“Senior Sister, you will never like me. I have no way to get you through normal means. I admit I resorted to trickery. I wanted to see you too much. I was wrong, Senior Sister. There are too many people around you, and I am so insignificant.”
After saying this, the girl simply lay down. She accepted her fate. Or perhaps she knew what her outcome would be the moment she started doing this.
The sound of police sirens attracted everyone’s attention. Qiu Shuang observed the expressions of the group and found that only Lu Chen and Chen Wanjun looked normal.
“Lu Chen had already called the police before we arrived.”
When Chen Wanjun said this, her expression was a little unpleasant; she hadn’t managed to beat him to it. Song Ya frowned tightly but said nothing. Qi Sijiao was somewhat shocked but, after looking at the ordinary girl lying on the ground like a dead fish, she also remained silent.
“Student Qiu, these are just conflicts between students. There’s no need to necessarily escalate it to the police station, you understand.”
Qiu Shuang looked up at the advisor but said nothing. Immediately after, the conference room door was forcefully pushed open. Song Ya calmly walked straight in and sat next to Qiu Shuang. Qi Sijiao said nothing, leaning against the door frame and looking inside. The remaining two also watched from outside. From the moment Song Ya entered, Qiu Shuang could observe that the teacher’s expression opposite them changed.
The originally private conversation between two people instantly became public. Qiu Shuang could feel the teacher opposite them falter for a few seconds, seemingly wanting to say something more. She preemptively found a way out for the teacher.
After passing the entrance exam from such a remote mountain village, if she were to give up now, she might never be able to recover…
“I can mediate this privately. I ask the school to process a leave of absence for her. When I graduate, she can have her student status reinstated and continue her studies. We just need to ensure we don’t cross paths during our university years. This condition, you should be able to grant me.”
After Qiu Shuang said this, she could observe the teacher opposite them letting out a sigh of relief, while Song Ya looked at her with a puzzled expression, not understanding her action of clearly letting the perpetrator off the hook.
Qiu Shuang ignored the strange looks from the others. The matter concluded this simply.
Of course, she was then forced to endure the siege from the others.
“Did you ever consider that she might be a psychopath? Why didn’t you tell me about these things first? I have the money; I could have solved it for you!”
Song Ya looked perplexed. Actually, she didn’t even know what had happened; Chen Wanjun had told her to rush over, so she hurried as fast as she could, without even changing her high heels. Running back and forth like this truly exhausted her.
When she learned that this woman had also engaged in sneak photos and harassing text messages, she completely exploded.
“Qiu Shuang, are you out of your mind? After all this, you’re letting her go? No way, she must go to jail!”
“Fortunately, I arrived quickly, otherwise who knows what she might have done to you.”
The few people started chattering like ducks, one after another. Qiu Shuang felt like her head was about to burst. Before she could finish speaking, another stumbling figure rushed over.
Xin Zhu was pale, nearly collapsing to her knees.
“Senior Sister, you don’t know how scary it was! I just went to the restroom, and when I came out, you were gone! I messaged you, and you didn’t reply. Finally, I heard the police car’s siren and came looking for you. It was so terrifying.”
“It’s alright, it’s over now. Thank you for your concern. Please all go back; I want to be alone for a bit.”
Qiu Shuang only felt a headache. There were many suspicious points in this matter. No one delved into how a girl studying finance mastered sophisticated hacking techniques, or where she got the money to buy an ID and apply for accounts. No one cared about these things. It seemed everyone got the outcome they wanted.
“Senior Sister, are you okay?”
Qi Sijiao gently tried to take her hand in concern, but Qiu Shuang directly shook her off.
“Please all keep your distance from me. Can I just be alone for a while!”
The faces of the people present were somewhat stunned, as this seemed to be one of the rare times Qiu Shuang had asserted herself in a public setting. But none of them said anything, as it was normal for anyone to feel very annoyed after encountering so many troublesome things.
Qiu Shuang thought about how many things had happened to her here in less than two years. The feng shui of this place truly seemed…
The police also didn’t say much after learning about the resolution.
“Young lady, try to look on the bright side. Things will be smooth sailing from now on.”
They didn’t say much more, as these matters were not within their jurisdiction. Qiu Shuang didn’t need to think twice to know they probably viewed her as some unlucky person whose situation was being suppressed by the school, although, overall, there wasn’t much difference.
Qiu Shuang wanted to see the “perpetrator” who was forced to take a leave of absence. The girl was packing her luggage. Her roommates didn’t say much either, as these things were completely hushed up, and in the eyes of others, it was just a mundane event. After all, a perfectly ordinary student suddenly leaving the school didn’t seem like anything new.
Qiu Shuang looked at the girl’s somewhat faded clothes. The girl was only silent, a complete contrast to her previous crazy, rambling persona.
Upon seeing Qiu Shuang, the girl paused her packing, then continued. Qiu Shuang leaned against the door frame, watching her efficient actions. She suspected the girl might have worked on an assembly line at some electronics factory.
Her other roommates, who were playing on their phones, curiously glanced at her but said nothing, presumably waiting until she left to discuss it.
The girl wiped the sweat from her forehead and continued packing. A pair of hands suddenly appeared. Qiu Shuang silently helped her pack her belongings and together they put the items on a small cart and pulled it to the school gate.
Neither of them spoke the entire way. An outsider might have thought they were roommates or even friends. Who would have guessed the relationship between them was “perpetrator” and “victim”?
The girl remained silent. To be honest, she hadn’t expected this to be her outcome either.
She looked nervously at Qiu Shuang standing beside her. Qiu Shuang was the same as the person she’d seen in the library, still confident, beautiful, and radiating light, while she could only leave in disgrace. But a small flame was gathering in her heart. She would return, and she would make her remember her name…
“I’m sorry, Senior Sister…”
Her apology was tiny, just like her, lightly scattered by the wind. Qiu Shuang did not look back or say anything more. She had achieved the outcome she wanted.
“It’s fine.”
The wind carried this sentence away, leaving behind only the tears falling beside the large bags of luggage.
Xin Zhu watched the brief farewell from a distance with binoculars and clenched her fist.
“Useless trash.”
Thinking about this, she recalled that, according to her plan, she only needed to stage a savior performance to quickly build goodwill, but she hadn’t expected this group of bitches to suddenly appear.
Senior Sister was happy there, probably unaware that someone had put a locator on her.
Qi Sijiao, Chen Wanjun, Song Ya, Lu Chen.
Xin Zhu desperately wanted to stab voodoo dolls of these bitches three hundred sixty-five days a year, twenty-four hours a day, without stopping!
“What a waste of my 500,000…”
