- Chapter 21 - Lowering Her Head - The Unapproachable Beauty Lowers Her Head
Qi Sijiao pondered, and for some reason, an idea flashed through her mind: what if she let her senior “do that” to her?
Would her usually conservative senior then feel responsible for her?
This thought was just a momentary flash, but it deeply took root in her heart.
Qi Sijiao thought this method was too foolish, but if things truly didn’t work out, she might only have this one option.
After all, waiting until her senior forgot that vixen who went abroad seemed like a very difficult task.
How annoying! If her senior wasn’t so outstanding, she wouldn’t have so many people competing with her. But, thinking about it again, Qi Sijiao realized that wasn’t right—if her senior wasn’t excellent, she wouldn’t have fallen for her.
It’s truly irritating. She really wished that only she in the whole world could appreciate her senior.
That evening, Qiu Shuang once again familiar with the routine, headed to the hotel booked by Song Ya. Barring any surprises, today would probably be the last night she spent with Song Ya. However, this time, she saw someone she wasn’t particularly eager to meet.
“Chen Wanjun?”
Qiu Shuang looked at the person. Sure enough, just as Song Ya had said, the other woman had lost a lot of weight. Her already delicate frame seemed to have shrunk further, and she looked quite haggard.
Qiu Shuang originally intended to leave immediately, but seeing the other woman’s pitiful appearance, she finally fell silent.
Chen Wanjun gazed at her intensely. As she had guessed, Qiu Shuang was just this type of woman—always overly soft-hearted, or else she wouldn’t have gotten entangled with them in the first place.
“Qiu Shuang, I’ve missed you so much. I tried to control myself from coming to see you, but the truth is, as you can see, I’ve endured a lot… and it’s been painful.”
“I know I’m despicable for using Song Ya to see you, but I truly couldn’t control myself. I just really wanted to see you again.”
Hearing her say this, Qiu Shuang had nothing to refute. Indeed, Chen Wanjun had interacted with her several times at school, but they were mostly nodding acquaintances.
She suddenly felt a bit cruel, forcing someone who faithfully loved her to give up that love. She had once faithfully loved someone herself, so she knew better than anyone how difficult it was to let go of love.
But to pick things up again, Qiu Shuang didn’t have the slightest courage.
“Chen Wanjun, I still hope you can find someone else. That way, a burden in my heart will be lifted. And you know, we had a lot of unpleasant things happen in the past…”
Chen Wanjun listened to those hurtful words, accustomed to them. She had made mistakes and had to bear the corresponding consequences.
She had done those things to Qiu Shuang in the past, so a little suffering now was normal. After all, comfort was reserved for the dead.
Even if Qiu Shuang suddenly forgave and loved her again, Chen Wanjun herself wouldn’t want it.
The harm she had caused in the past had to be made up for and repaid. No matter how arduous the path, she would keep striving.
Not far from where the two were meeting, Song Ya picked up her phone, snapped a picture, and skillfully sent it to Qi Sijiao. Qi Sijiao, who was in her dorm room missing Qiu Shuang and unable to sleep, received the message.
Looking at the picture, which was either a staged close-up or something similar, with the two intimately close, Qi Sijiao admitted she was truly furious.
That damned Chen Wanjun, that vixen who spread rumors about her senior and rejected her senior’s true love! She clearly looked down on her before, and now she was desperately begging.
She was the greatest vixen in history!
Thinking this, Qi Sijiao even involuntarily blamed Qiu Shuang a little.
Damn it! Senior, you loved her so much back then, and she treated you like that, yet you can still accept her now!!!
Song Ya didn’t know the destructive power this photo would unleash. After sending it, she skillfully switched IDs back. Money was great; she could get anything.
Even if someone traced it back to her, they would only find some obscure overseas IP.
“Sigh, if this isn’t enough, I’ll just have to use the ultimate move, my little crazy dog.”
Song Ya understood people like Qi Sijiao better than anyone. A strange mutual understanding between peers allowed her to accurately grasp the other woman’s essence in one go. They were both abnormal, just in different ways.
Song Ya genuinely hoped that Qiu Shuang’s world would be left only with herself, while that crazy dog Qi Sijiao simply wanted to consume her completely.
Song Ya wasn’t entirely sure if she counted as a lesbian, but the thought of other women made her feel sick. If it was Qiu Shuang, it seemed anything was possible.
“We’ve known each other for so many years, and you’ve tolerated me so many times. Can you tolerate me just this last time?”
Song Ya smiled, then walked toward the two of them.
Qiu Shuang sighed, looking at Chen Wanjun in front of her. If someone had told her in the past that the once unapproachable beauty could become like this, she would never have believed them. Seeing the other woman’s loyal and earnest expression.
“I actually don’t understand when you started liking me.”
To be honest, in Qiu Shuang’s memory, she really didn’t understand how the other person could develop romantic love. In their interactions, Chen Wanjun was like a busybody mother, constantly telling her to stay away from Song Ya, study hard, not to date early, or else single-mindedly focused on her “studies.” It didn’t seem like love; it felt more like a mother’s affection for her daughter.
But she really liked this feeling—this feeling of being controlled. She didn’t know how to explain this strange, inexplicable outpouring. Perhaps she was transferring this abnormal dependency onto someone else, or perhaps she just wanted too much.
In any case, Qiu Shuang was unbelievably obsessed with this peculiar feeling.
She liked being controlled, liked being criticized. Even the demands that seemed strange in others’ eyes, she could tolerate.
After all, having someone stand firmly by her side was already the greatest luck in the world.
“I don’t know.”
Chen Wanjun looked at her. After all, the first time she became aware of her was the day Qiu Shuang’s name was prominently displayed next to hers, when they tied for the top spot on the high school entrance exams.
She thought she had inexplicably come to hate this woman she had never met before.
There was only room for one genius.
“You can choose not to forgive me, or continue to hate me, but my love for you will never fade. If you forgive me too quickly, I will hate myself. You can use me or insult me however you want; I deserve it.”
“What exactly do you want?”
Qiu Shuang looked at her, incredulous. Was the other woman also trying to force a confrontation, like her? That truly hit a nerve, as she only wanted to fly her kite.
“Just treat me as your dog. Stroke me when you’re happy, kick me aside when you’re not. And I’m more hassle-free than a pet—I’ll feed myself and take care of myself. If you need me, message me anytime, and I’ll rush over immediately.”
