I Heard I’m a Scummy Alpha? [Transmigration] - Chapter 110
Yan Zui briefly skimmed through the online comments. Without disturbing Qi Yunwei, who was busy working, she first completed the real-name verification on her personal Weibo account. Then, she went to the next office to ask Du Yifan for access to the official accounts of Yunmengzeand Immortal Unseen. After that, she contacted Director Liu and Peng Xueyu from Living with You.
Soon, a new post appeared on her Weibo:
@YanZui: The photo posted by @GossipFirstHand has infringed upon my and @QiYunwei’s portrait rights. Our lawyer will file a lawsuit against @GossipFirstHand for this violation.
As for the nature of my relationship with Qi Yunwei, our company will issue an official statement shortly.
The moment her post went live, the internet exploded. Netizens were in awe—some praised Yan Zui’s boldness, while others speculated whether “the company” she mentioned referred to the Yan Corporation.
Most people online usually stayed silent; the earlier flood of chaotic comments had left them speechless. Those who wanted to defend the two didn’t even know where to start—and even if they did, their words were likely to be drowned out. So they chose to wait and watch.
Right after posting, Yan Zui used Immortal Unseen’s official Weibo to retweet with a cheeky comment:
@ImmortalUnseen: Time to clock in, Yunmengze @ YunmengzeOfficial! Boss’s wife @YanZui says you need to clarify her relationship with the boss @QiYunwei!
@ YunmengzeOfficial: Shh—Boss @QiYunwei said to keep things low-profile. We can’t publicly reveal that she and Boss’s wife @YanZui are already legally married.
At that moment, Wu Baizhi happened to be scrolling through Weibo. The messy speculations from before had irritated him to no end. When he saw this post, he immediately hit repost.
@WuBaizhi: I’ve always said my boss @QiYunwei is the definition of a life winner! She should totally be more high-profile—show off her achievements, her love life, and her wealth every day! Not only is she brilliant, but her wife is gorgeous and just as brilliant! 😭 If it was me, I’d be posting humblebrags every single day! But no—she insists on being low-key and focusing on research. Storms may rage outside, but she stands firm and calm. Maybe that’s the biggest difference between me and my boss—aside from, you know, not having a genius brain or a stunning wife. @ YunmengzeOfficial: Shh—Boss @QiYunwei said to keep things low-profile. We can’t reveal that she and Boss’s wife @YanZui are already married.
Then came another bombshell.
@LivingWithYouOfficial: We sincerely apologize. The show did have a script. As a reality program, we strayed from our original intent. We extend our deepest apologies to everyone.
@DirectorLiu: I wrote the script [kneels in apology] @LivingWithYouOfficial: We sincerely apologize. The show did have a script.
@PengXueyu: Before recording Living with You, I had never met @QiYunwei. I apologize for misleading everyone with a scripted narrative.
The barrage of posts nearly blew up the entire internet.
Wait—so Qi Yunwei and Yan Zui are married? Okay, I can accept that; there’ve been rumors for ages. But Qi Yunwei is the boss of Yunmengze?
Am I dreaming? The couple I ship as “WeiZui Qiantao” are the same people behind the “Xin Zui Shenmi” CP I used to hate? Somebody help!
My brain’s short-circuiting—if Qi Yunwei really is the legendary mastermind behind Yunmengze and Immortal Unseen, then all those rumors about her being dumb and dropping out of college were fake? Damn, and I actually believed her so-called classmates!
Rumors really do ruin lives. If Qi Yunwei’s a “soft rice Alpha,” then the entire world’s Alphas must be freeloaders.
Suddenly, I ship them so hard! Ice-queen goddess Yan Zui posting in anger just to defend her wife—she’s the real deal.
Are you here, CP scientists? This is your moment!
I knew it! So-called “reality shows” always have scripts!
The revelation that Qi Yunwei was the true boss of Yunmengze alone was enough to shake everyone to the core, completely overshadowing all previous negative rumors about her.
Her so-called “former classmates” who hadn’t spoken ill of her were secretly relieved. Those who had badmouthed her were now panicking, terrified she might track them down for revenge.
After all, Qi Yunwei was no longer just anyone—she was the developer of the legendary game Immortal Unseen! For someone capable of creating a masterpiece like that, uncovering a few small-time slanderers would be child’s play.
A few of them couldn’t sit still and contacted Qi Fanghuai for help. He brushed them off, saying Qi Yunwei had no time to bother with such nonsense, and then promptly hung up and blocked their numbers.
After finalizing the core settings of her new project with Shi Zhongluan, Qi Yunwei didn’t see Yan Zui in the office. Just as she was about to step out to look for her, Yan Zui entered, still scrolling through her phone.
“What are you looking at so intently?” Qi Yunwei asked curiously.
Yan Zui lifted her gaze and tilted her phone toward her. “Check the trending list on Weibo.”
Qi Yunwei opened the app—and was instantly stunned. Almost every trending topic was about her and Yan Zui. Out of the top ten, eight were theirs.

She clicked the first tag—and the top post was Yan Zui’s.
Qi Yunwei followed Yan Zui’s account before diving into the comments.
All her previous hate comments were buried. Those who had mocked or pitied Yan Zui before were now gone—everyone was praising her impeccable taste instead, begging her to teach them how to pick an Alpha like that.
Qi Yunwei looked up, smiling. “You should start a class—teach them how to choose someone like me.”
Yan Zui replied, “Choose you? I didn’t choose you. You showed up in front of me yourself.”
Qi Yunwei leaned down and kissed her on the cheek. “You’re right. I’ll go tell them that.”
She picked up her phone and posted another Weibo:
@QiYunwei: A lot of people are asking how my wife chose her Alpha. It’s actually simple—because I wanted to be worthy of her, I worked hard and achieved what I have today. That’s how I earned her love. So, to all the Omegas out there: keep your eyes open and choose an Alpha who’s willing to become better for you.
Tsk, tsk, tsk “my wife” this, “my wife” that. We get it, Qi Yunwei, she’s your wife! No need to keep rubbing it in! [dog emoji]
Qi Yunwei really loves Yan Zui. She’s so sincere—I’m crying!
The moment this “low-key” genius decides to go public, it’s nothing but pure, relentless PDA.
“Qi Yunwei, I think I’m falling for your wife too.”
@QiYunwei: You knew she was my wife? My wife is a woman you’ll never have!
“Why hasn’t Immortal Unseen gone live yet? I’m dying to play!”
@QiYunwei: Tomorrow at 9 AM a new map will open — stay tuned!
“Acting cute and begging for selfies — Qi Yunwei, I’m WeiZui Qiantao on the run CPF, look at me!”
@QiYunwei: Here — your selfie. [image]
Qi Yunwei had spontaneously taken a selfie with Yan Zui and sent it to a fan.
“Aaaaahhh I’m shipping them so hard, I want a selfie too!”
@QiYunwei: Consider it done. [image]
She snapped another photo and sent it out.
Yan Zui watched as Qi Yunwei replied to fans, her face a mixture of pride and excitement. She couldn’t help smiling.
The next morning at nine, Immortal Unseen officially launched its open beta.
Five minutes later, a million players were online simultaneously — and the game ran without a hitch.
Anyone who had been waiting for the game to crash left disappointed.
Soon after, the first post-launch player reports started coming in.
@LittleGamer: The open beta feels even better than the closed test. Maybe it’s just me, but the scenery looks prettier. The NPCs are the same, but each one responds more intelligently — they’re so fun. I feel like I could talk to NPCs all day!
@SuperGamer: If you missed the half-price holo-helmet during the closed test, you’ll regret it. Yan Zui isn’t in the open beta, but the gameplay and replay value more than make up for it.
@StrawHatDeer: Yan Zui might be gone, but I bumped into a new immortal outside the village today — Full Moon — and she’s gorgeous and chatty. She pulled me into a half-hour conversation [cry-laugh emoji]. Here’s Full Moon’s model — check it out. [image]
“No way! Chatty beauties everywhere — why wasn’t I the one who ran into her!”
“Can I say I ran into her too? Full Moon is insanely pretty — and single. [blushing emoji]”
“Haha.” Qi Yunwei: pointing and judging — don’t think I didn’t notice you shading my wife.
The buzz around the open beta made a lot of industry people envious. The game pulled in billions on its first day, and even competitors who wanted a slice of the holo-game market could only watch with covetous eyes.
After that banquet, Qin Lifeng stayed quiet at home for two days. Once he learned Qi Yunwei was the game’s developer, he gave up on playing it himself. The open beta’s success got heavy media coverage — and the more Qin Lifeng read, the angrier he grew. When night fell he took three of his men to a bar to drink off his frustration; he staggered home at midnight drunk.
Feng Yue was in the living room when Qin Lifeng arrived. The three henchmen fell over themselves to show respect. “Master Feng, you’re here?”
After Qin Feili’s death, Feng Yue had overseen distributing Feili’s estate among the six children. Qin Lifeng didn’t blame him — the will had been Feili’s own. Qin Lifeng only hated Qin Feili.
Bleary-eyed, Qin Lifeng spotted Feng Yue and immediately shoved past his men to collapse at Feng Yue’s knees, cursing Qi Yunwei.
Feng Yue frowned slightly. “You three can go now,” he said to the henchmen.
They were terrified of Feng Yue and hustled out, leaving the huge villa quiet except for the drunken Qin Lifeng and Feng Yue.
Feng Yue looked down coldly at Qin Lifeng, who was clinging to his legs.
He’d once treated Qin Lifeng like his own child, but now he discovered the boy was the son of his enemy.
“Lifeng,” Feng Yue said, “I did everything for you. If you’ve done wrong, you must pay the price.”
That morning the three henchmen had brought a hearty breakfast to the villa and rang the bell; when nobody answered, they used the spare key like always and went in.
One of them set the food down while the other two went upstairs to wake Qin Lifeng. Halfway through, the two ran downstairs in a panic. “Boss is gone! He’s not here!”
The first henchman stayed calmer. “Don’t panic. I’ll call Master Feng.”
He dialed Feng Yue with shaking hands. The phone rang once and connected.
“Hello?” Feng Yue’s voice came through, calm as ever. The henchman trembled.
They’d all heard of Feng Yue’s younger exploits and knew he was a smiling tiger. The henchman asked carefully, “Master Feng, do you know where Boss is? We came to bring him breakfast but he’s not home.”
Feng Yue sounded unhurried. “Is that so.”
“We thought you might know since you were here last night. Sorry to bother you, Master Feng,” the henchman said, about to hang up.
“Wait,” Feng Yue said.
The henchman stopped, afraid to hang up. “Yes?”
“I know where Lifeng is.”
“What?” the henchman stammered.
“He’s probably in police custody by now,” Feng Yue replied matter-of-factly.
The night before, Feng Yue had gathered the evidence of Qin Lifeng’s crimes and, together with Feili’s body, left it at the police station.
“Police?” the henchman went blank.
“I owe someone a favor,” Feng Yue continued. “They wanted Lifeng to confess and face justice. You know how much I value loyalty; I once risked my life for Qin Feili’s kindness. Now, to repay another debt, I must hand Lifeng to the police. I think you can understand, can’t you?”
“Y-yes” the henchman said, stunned, and hung up. He repeated Feng Yue’s words to the other two.
Every illegal act Qin Lifeng had committed involved them. “If Master Feng handed all the evidence over, Boss would probably get the death penalty,” one of them said.
The three looked at each other. “Maybe we should take whatever money we have and run.”
