I Heard I’m a Scummy Alpha? [Transmigration] - Chapter 100
When players on the outskirts of the Wild Boar Forest were still confused about the commotion inside, a new storm was already brewing online.
@ Weizui_Qiantao:
Maybe it’s because of my in-game username, but I’ve run into Yan Zui more than once in the game! And yesterday, I even met Qi Yunwei! Qi Yunwei said my name — [Weizui Qiantao] — was interesting and gave me a pet rabbit [image].
Later, I met Yan Zui, and she gave me an identical one [image]. The pet cage shop doesn’t sell them — they’re custom-made by players. I won’t say more. You can draw your own conclusions.
This wasn’t the first time @ Weizui_Qiantao had gone viral. Her previous posts about “accidentally” meeting Yan Zui in-game had already made her known among both CPF fans (couple fans who ship Qi Yunwei × Yan Zui) and Yan Zui’s solo fans.
So, when she dropped this new post, it exploded almost instantly, landing on the trending list within minutes.
The CPFs were ecstatic — it was like celebrating New Year. They flooded her comment section, joyfully “building their temple of love.”
Yan Zui’s solo fans, on the other hand, were furious — accusing her of Photoshopping and stirring up rumors.
Solo fans:
Please, stop with the shipping already! Yan Zui and Qi Yunwei are impossible. Just look at her — what part of Qi Yunwei matches up to Yan Zui? Her reputation’s already in ruins. Stop trying to leech off Yan Zui’s popularity.
Sometimes I seriously wonder if you CPFs even love Yan Zui. You say you love both of them equally, but pairing her with Qi Yunwei only cheapens Yan Zui’s image. Qi Yunwei isn’t worthy.
CPF fans:
Not worthy? I think they’re a perfect match. You talk so big — but you’re not even half the person Qi Yunwei is.
Exactly! If Qi Yunwei doesn’t deserve Yan Zui, then who does? Go on, tell me — I’ll wait.
A particularly sarcastic solo fan chimed in:
The boss behind “Immortal Unseen” — they deserve her! I’m a Yan Zui-only fan, and I’m telling you, I’m shipping Yan Zui × the boss now! Qi Yunwei is just not it! Let’s see who dares say Qi Yunwei is more impressive than the boss of
“Immortal Unseen.”
The CPFs were briefly stunned into silence.
Then someone weakly commented:
But what if the boss is old?
[Video] Sorry to disappoint you — Wu Baizhi said in an interview that his boss is an Alpha, same age as him — twenty-three. That makes her younger than your beloved Qi Yunwei, who’s twenty-four.
Yan Zui’s solo fans typically only “ship” Yan Zui × Yan Zui — the “selfcest” ship known as “Narcissus.” That way, their goddess remains pure and untouchable, with no competition in sight.
But CPFs mocked them for being delusional — “shipping selfcest like maniacs.”
Of course, the solo fans thought they were the normal ones — and that the CPFs who shipped Yan Zui × Qi Yunwei were the true lunatics.
Both sides had their logic, neither could convince the other. In the end, it all came down to what made them happiest.
But today, the solo fans had been thoroughly provoked. In their desperation, they randomly threw out a name — “Qi Yunwei doesn’t even compare to the boss of Immortal Unseen.”
Who could’ve guessed that throwaway line would hit CPFs right where it hurt?
The solo fans seized the opening like soldiers finding a fortress. Mimicking CPF behavior, they started “analyzing evidence” — looking for any trace of romance between Yan Zui and the mysterious boss of Immortal Unseen.
Our goddess doesn’t need money. She endorsed Immortal Unseen just to boost the game’s exposure — if that’s not love, what is?
Immortal Unseen was already viral before endorsements. So why hire her as spokesperson? Because it’s love!
They’re mutually in love! It’s destiny!
Once they had the upper hand, the solo fans grew bolder.
And as they kept “investigating,” some began to genuinely believe that Yan Zui and the mysterious boss truly did suit each other.
They even opened a new CP supertopic called #HeartDrunkGodStruck — “Because the developer of Immortal Unseen, the god of Yunmengze, is literally a god!”
Within hours, they pushed the new ship’s supertopic to the top of the rankings — even surpassing # Weizui_Qiantao.
I hereby declare — “Weizui_Qiantao” is fake! “HeartDrunkGodStruck” is the real deal!
If you’re gonna ship, ship HeartDrunkGodStruck! Anyone who doesn’t isn’t a true Huaguo fan!
The fanbase chaos even made a minor trending search.
Most passersby just laughed it off.
But some people found the solo fans’ “analysis” oddly convincing — and joined the HeartDrunkGodStruck camp.
Outnumbered and short on “evidence,” the Weizui_Qiantao CPFs couldn’t fight back.
They retreated to their own forum to comfort each other, vowing to hold the line no matter what.
Meanwhile, Qi Yunwei herself was far from all the online drama.
She met with Zhou Xiao’s former superior, Wu Guanghuai, the regional military commander of Guangnan.
After hearing about Qi Yunwei’s national defense ambitions, Wu Guanghuai took a strong liking to her — their meeting went exceedingly well.
“If your test run succeeds,” Wu said, “I believe the entire Huaguo military could use your holographic game for combat training.”
Qi Yunwei smiled. “Since it’s for the military, I’d better hurry and develop a new feature.”
Wu Guanghuai raised a brow. “Oh? What kind of feature?”
Qi Yunwei lowered her voice. “All I can say is — it’s related to time.”
Currently, the time ratio between the holographic world and reality was one-to-one.
Qi Yunwei planned to make it two-to-one.
That meant one real-world hour would equal two in-game hours — doubling players’ available time for learning and training while maintaining realistic time perception.
Wu Guanghuai was astonished.
“Truly remarkable,” he said with genuine admiration. “A talent beyond her years.”
After that meeting, the connections grew rapidly.
Director Zhao of the National Science Bureau introduced Qi Yunwei to several of his old university classmates — now key figures in politics.
Wu Guanghuai, not to be outdone, brought her into military circles, introducing her to top brass and strategists.
By the time Qi Yunwei finally logged back into the game, ten days had passed.
She glanced at the mini map.
Good — the usual troublemakers weren’t online.
Most players had already reached level fifty or higher.
Professions had diversified, and their weapons were no longer limited to those sold by system vendors.
Many had begun smelting and forging their own gear, creating weapons far superior to the store-bought kind.
As a master blacksmith, Qi Yunwei had stockpiled hundreds of ores — but hadn’t had time to forge even a single weapon during the entire twenty-day beta test.
She went to the village forge, found a workstation, and was surprised to see Liang Kejue and He Yunqing there.
Liang Kejue was hammering away at the anvil, while He Yunqing stood by with arms crossed, looking thoroughly displeased.
“There are so many fun things to do in-game, but you’re always here forging weapons. Ah Jue, have you ever considered my feelings?” He Yunqing’s voice quivered with frustration.
Liang Kejue didn’t look up, eyes fixed on the molten metal.
“Be good, Xiao Qing. I’m making this weapon for you. Just a bit longer, okay?”
He Yunqing sighed, too stubborn to leave but too sulky to speak, so he stayed to watch.
As the weapon’s shape gradually took form, sparks flew with every strike.
Seeing the sweat roll down Liang Kejue’s forehead, He Yunqing took out a handkerchief to wipe it away tenderly.
Qi Yunwei quietly picked the farthest workstation and began the first step of forging — extracting pure metal from ore.
Time passed.
Then another argument erupted.
He Yunqing’s shrill voice carried across the forge — impossible to ignore.
“Liang Kejue! You know I’m a blade user! Why did you forge a sword? Everyone knows immortals use swords! Ever since you met Yan Zui at Auntie’s house, you’ve been acting off! Do you even care about your fiancée anymore?”
Liang Kejue’s voice remained calm.
“Xiao Qing, it’s not what you think. I only had a sword blueprint — no blade designs. This isn’t something we can control.”
He Yunqing was fed up with that same excuse — as if he was always the unreasonable one.
“I don’t care,” he snapped. “Melt it down and make a blade. Now.”
“Xiao Qing,” Liang Kejue said patiently, “I just told you — I don’t have a blade blueprint.”
He Yunqing looked ready to explode. His gaze darted around — then landed squarely on Qi Yunwei.
“Qi Yunwei!” he exclaimed, marching toward her. “You heard everything, right? Tell me — do you need a blueprint to forge weapons?”
Liang Kejue’s face stiffened.
Qi Yunwei paused, then answered honestly:
“No, you don’t.”
