I Got Together With the Fake Heiress - Chapter 53
“What nonsense are you talking about? Of course, I believe in you,” Wen Yimeng countered, poking Wen Yunqing’s palm several times. “But if you injure them, wouldn’t they just extort you for money?”
“Extort me? Do they dare?” Wen Yunqing sneered lightly. “I can hire a very capable lawyer. By then, I would be considered acting in justifiable self-defense.”
“But doing that would affect our travel plans, wouldn’t it? I still want to visit many places,” Wen Yimeng was not afraid of trouble, but she didn’t want to waste their precious time on unnecessary people.
Evidently, Wen Yimeng’s reason perfectly convinced Wen Yunqing to change her mind. Dealing with the people following them was simple, but sacrificing their vacation for it was indeed not worthwhile.
Due to the previous extortion incident, Wen Yunqing did not trust the local police very much, so she chose to contact Li Li and informed her about the people following them.
Li Li’s reply was quick. After confirming Wen Yunqing’s location, she stated that her people could arrive in ten minutes and told them not to worry.
It must be said that the security charged at one hundred thousand yuan per hour was quite reliable. She said ten minutes, but people actually arrived in less than eight minutes. They didn’t resort to any aggressive tactics, simply and politely “invited” the trackers away.
Li Li herself joined the couple at their table and sincerely apologized. “This was a lapse in my work. I didn’t expect anyone to follow you. For the remainder of today, I will be the exclusive driver for both bosses.”
“For free?” Wen Yunqing asked.
A friendly smile appeared on Li Li’s face, revealing six pearly white teeth. “A total of three thousand yuan. Driver and bodyguard service, ending exactly at midnight tonight.”
It was impossible to work for free; she still needed to be paid the few hundred yuan per hour.
Seeing Li Li’s smile when doing business, Wen Yimeng couldn’t help but laugh. “Alright, we’ll pay the fee. We don’t need to arrange the car, do we?”
“Don’t worry, Boss. I drove my own car here,” Li Li said. “It was just serviced a few days ago, and no one else has sat in it besides me. It’s very clean.”
With Li Li joining them, Wen Yimeng called the waiter to add a few more dishes, and the three of them enjoyed the meal together.
Operating on the principle of making the best use of everything, Wen Yunqing and Wen Yimeng got into Li Li’s car. After searching for nearby attractions on her phone, they set off for sightseeing.
Li Li originally thought she only needed to act as a driver and bodyguard, but upon arriving at the attraction, a mobile phone was placed in her hand, and she was concurrently appointed as the photographer.
As she took pictures, Li Li also noticed that the relationship between the two bosses was somewhat subtle. When she took a photo of them kissing each other on the cheek, she finally realized the truth.
This three thousand yuan is truly hard to earn! I’ve been forced to eat ‘dog food’ for several hours!
Wait, if the two bosses have this kind of relationship, then I was probably eating ‘dog food’ the moment I arrived! And that ten million yuan that was casually squandered was also an explosively sweet, overloaded portion of ‘dog food’!
Li Li ultimately completed her mission as the “tool person.” After accompanying them for a late-night feast, she made sure to drop them back at the resort before midnight.
“Bosses, if you ever come to Yunnan again, you can always look for me,” Li Li said as she was leaving, expanding her business. “I can give the bosses a… ninety-five percent discount.”
“Then we thank you,” Wen Yunqing did not refuse and took the business card Li Li handed her.
Pushing open the front door and walking inside, the guesthouse lobby was less lively than yesterday, but there were still ten people gathered and playing a game.
Su Ning, with her sharp eyes, spotted the two again and waved them over. “Yimeng, Student Wen, come quickly and play Truth or Dare with us.”
“What kind of Truth or Dare is this?” Wen Yunqing was curious and leaned in to look. On the table were two decks of cards of different colors, a few dice, and five or six empty beer bottles piled in the center.
“It’s the commonplace Truth or Dare,” Su Ning explained. “Yesterday’s Werewolf was too taxing on the brain cells. Today we’re playing something easier.”
“If you draw a dare you don’t want to complete, you drink. Two cups for boys, one cup for girls. Want to give it a try?”
Wen Yunqing briefly looked around. The Class Monitor, Cheng Hao, and the Sports Committee Member were all there. “What about Zhou Jun?”
Su Ning blinked innocently. “She seemed a bit tired and went back to sleep half an hour ago.” She was tired herself, and it was certainly not tiring to accompany her!
Wen Yunqing saw through the facade but didn’t say anything, taking Wen Yimeng to sit down in the vacant spots.
“The rules are simple. There are ten dice here, randomly shaken by two people, and then everyone guesses the total points. Whoever is farthest off has to choose between Truth or Dare!” The Class Monitor repeated the game rules.
“Students Yimeng and Wen have just joined, so the privilege of shaking the dice this time goes to them.”
The identity of the shaker was not very important, and no one objected to the Class Monitor’s decision. Soon, two dice cups were given to Wen Yimeng and Wen Yunqing. Neither was vague; they quickly shook them up and placed them back on the table.
“30 points.” “29 points.” “28 points!” “Maybe 35 points.” “I guess 19.” People quickly announced their guesses.
“45 points.” This was the second-to-last answer given by Wen Yunqing.
Wen Yimeng had originally intended to guess a number closer to the middle, but after hearing Wen Yunqing’s answer, she immediately changed her mind. “44 points!”
The dice cups were opened. Wen Yimeng’s side had 2, 3, 4, 3, 2, totaling 14. Wen Yunqing’s side was all sixes (a “Leopard”), totaling 30 points. The total was 14 + 30, which is 44 points.
“What the f***! Wen Yunqing, did you study this! That’s unbelievable!” The Sports Committee Member, who had guessed 19 points, couldn’t help but utter a coarse expression. “No way, you can’t shake the dice anymore!”
“Alright, then I won’t shake it,” Wen Yunqing said nonchalantly. It was just a game; there was no need to cheat. The “Leopard” just now was achieved through her own skill, so she just took half of the 30 points and offered 45 as her guess.
The Sports Committee Member was unlucky. He chose Dare, which required him to hold a prolonged face-to-face contact with a person of the same sex for ten seconds. After hesitating between drinking two cups and complying, the Sports Committee Member directly wrapped his arms around the Class Monitor’s neck and wouldn’t let go for ten seconds.
“Damn it, how is this different from punishing me!” The Class Monitor looked like a decent man who had been forced, feeling extremely wronged.
The second round of the game quickly began. “Student Wen, as the one with skill, you must start guessing first!”
Wen Yunqing raised an eyebrow. “Then I choose 30 points.”
“I choose 31!” The Class Monitor quickly followed up with his guess.
It was an unstated consensus, but the people who followed, including Wen Yimeng, all guessed a number one higher than the previous person.
Soon the dice cups were opened, revealing the points: 5, 5, 4, 6, 4 and 5, 6, 4, 5, 3, totaling 24 + 21, which is 45 points.
“Student Wen, you lost. Do you choose Truth or Dare?” The Sports Committee Member laughed out loud. It seems he gambled correctly!
Wen Yunqing was indifferent to winning or losing. “I choose Truth.”
“Oh, Student Wen, why didn’t you choose Dare?” The Sports Committee Member was a little disappointed. “Then choose from the green deck. These are all Truth questions.”
Wen Yunqing couldn’t be bothered to pick. She directly took the top card and read it aloud: “Please answer: How many people have you kissed since birth, and who are they, respectively?”
Upon hearing the question, the onlookers started making a fuss. Since their attention was focused on Wen Yunqing, few noticed the change in Wen Yimeng’s expression.
“Hurry up and say it, how many people have you kissed, Student Wen?” The Sports Committee Member was excited. “Remember, you can’t say you haven’t kissed anyone. You have to tell the honest truth!”
“Kissing parents is very normal. Anyone else, anyone else?” The Sports Committee Member urged.
“Besides my parents, there’s probably only one other person,” Wen Yunqing said, looking at Wen Yimeng and blinking at her innocently.
“What, you’ve only kissed Wen Yimeng?” The Sports Committee Member was a complete straight man. He didn’t feel anything upon hearing this answer and continued to press. “Is that all? Haven’t you kissed anyone of the opposite sex?”
“I’ve only just reached adulthood. Is there a problem with only kissing Yimeng?” Wen Yunqing had thought she could use this opportunity to announce her relationship with Wen Yimeng, but she didn’t expect such a calm reaction from everyone.
“Ahem, alright, alright, let’s start the next round,” The Class Monitor’s instincts were sharper than the Sports Committee Member’s. He seemed to have realized something but chose not to say anything.
Guessing the dice points and playing Dare is actually quite fast, with each round taking only a few minutes. Since there were so many people present and Wen Yunqing was the first to guess, it was quickly her turn to be punished again.
“Last time, Student Wen chose Truth. This time, you have to choose Dare,” the Sports Committee Member preemptively said. “I’m not just making this up; it’s the unwritten rule.”
“Then Dare it is. I never said I couldn’t,” Wen Yunqing said. She looked at the red cards, and thinking of the experiences of the few people who drew Dare earlier, she cheated slightly by casting a good luck talisman on herself before drawing a card.
“Freely choose one player participating in the game and hold/hug them for three rounds of the game,” Wen Yunqing read the card’s requirement very calmly.
The Sports Committee Member was somewhat incredulous. “Out of twenty cards, this is the only easy one, and you still managed to draw it! Student Wen, your luck is really good.”
“Of course,” Wen Yunqing replied confidently and righteously. “I choose Yimeng as the object of my dare.”
Noticing that everyone was looking at her, Wen Yimeng maintained a calm yet casual expression. “Fine, go ahead and hug me if you want.”
When Su Ning saw Wen Yunqing naturally rest her chin on Wen Yimeng’s shoulder, she couldn’t help but entertain some other ideas in her head, which she quickly dismissed.
The game of Truth or Dare was not over yet. If she got distracted now, she would be the next one to be punished.
“You didn’t cheat this time, did you?” Wen Yimeng adjusted her posture and whispered close to Wen Yunqing’s face.
Wen Yunqing said with an earnest expression, “I belong only to you. How could I perform things like staring deeply into the eyes of the opposite sex? Of course, I had to use a little trick.”
Wen Yimeng didn’t deny it, only giving a light hum and telling her not to lose anymore, which would solve the problem at its root.
