I Don't Want To Fall In Love With The Heroine [Quick Wear] - Chapter 13
The slender, long fingers lightly teased open the collar of her silk nightgown.
Under the soft, pale-yellow glow of the night lamp, her snow-white skin shimmered with an enticing hint of pink. The deceitful little thing tried to hide, but her wrists were bound by the silk tie; she couldn’t break free. She was like a piteous lamb awaiting slaughter, her eyes trembling with a mix of grievance and helplessness as she watched the person above lean down.
The first kiss landed on the fragrant side of her neck. The cool sensation of those lips sent a delicate shiver through her. Mid-whimper, the lips moved lower, settling against her collarbone. This time, there was no tenderness—only a sharp, punishing nip.
Her skin was so delicate that a single bite left a trail of flamboyant, crimson marks. The girl was truly terrified now, sobbing as she tried to shrink back. “Bai Qian… waaa… I was wrong… I won’t ever… mmph.”
The rest of her pleas were swallowed whole.
It was the “wedding night” of Empress Jiang and Dugu Han. Abandoning the stagnant flaws of the past, the “performance” shifted into a high-gear progression. Together, they visited several classic “scenic spots”—the bathroom, the kitchen, the balcony…
Only when dawn broke was the “Empress,” whose voice was hoarse from something other than mourning a son, finally let go.

Shao Zizhi slept from dawn until dusk. When she finally woke up, she sensed something was wrong with the room. Bai Qian’s pillow was gone.
“Bai Qian!”
She called out several times, but there was no response. She forced herself to get out of bed to search for her, but the moment her feet touched the floor, her legs gave out, and she plummeted forward. Fortunately, the floor was carpeted; her knees hit the soft surface without much pain.
Shao Zizhi sat there for a moment to recover before limping—in a distinctly awkward gait—out of the room, leaning against the wall for support. Sensing a pattern, she turned toward the guest room. The moment the door opened, the sight inside made her panic so much she collapsed to the floor again.
This time, the pain brought tears to her eyes instantly.
Every single item belonging to Bai Qian had been cleared out.

Bai Qian had decided to give that girl a lesson she wouldn’t forget. Let’s see if she ever dared to weave such ridiculous lies to deceive her again!
She dragged her suitcase out, not knowing where to go at first. Finding a rental on short notice wasn’t easy, so she settled into a hotel for a few days.
Bai Qian hadn’t slept a wink the night before, and after moving out, she had rushed straight to the set. By the time filming ended, she was so exhausted she only wanted to crawl into her hotel bed and sleep for a century.
Zhao Tong intercepted her. “Shao Liangrong is coming soon. She’s bringing bird’s nest porridge today. Aren’t you staying for a taste?”
“No. I just want to go back and sleep.”
Seeing the genuine fatigue on her face, Zhao Tong stopped pestering her. “What on earth were you doing last night? Are you really not letting Shao Zizhi pick you up? Don’t tell me you’re going to sleep past your bus stop.”
Bai Qian waved her off. “I’m leaving.”
Yawning, she stepped out of the old building used for the current unit’s shoot, only for a familiar car to pull up right in front of her. This time, the girl didn’t honk like an annoying brat to announce her presence. She just sat there quietly, rolling down the window to reveal a face with eyes so swollen from crying they were still puffy.
“Bai Qian, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have lied to you. I’m sorry. Please don’t move out. I was wrong… waaa… I was wrong.”
Bai Qian’s face darkened. “Didn’t I tell you not to come to the set?”
“Waaa… but I couldn’t find you otherwise! Bai Qian, come back. I was wrong. Won’t you come home?”
Bai Qian glanced around, still feeling uneasy about being seen. She steeled her face and commanded, “Drive away, now. And don’t you dare come looking for me at work again, understand?”
“Waaa… no! If you don’t come with me, I’m going to follow you everywhere.”
“Shao. Zi. Zhi.”
“If you come back with me, I’ll be good. I promise I’ll never come looking for you here again.”
Bai Qian hissed, “You’ve really leveled up, haven’t you? Not only do you know how to trick me, but now you’re threatening me?”
Shao Zizhi shook her head, her face a piteous mask of tears. “I didn’t mean it. I was wrong. I know I messed up. Don’t leave me, Bai Qian… waaa… come home with me. Please come home.”
“And if I say no?”
Shao Zizhi sniffled. “Then tomorrow, I’ll go on X-blog and announce to the world that we’re cohabiting!”
“Shao Zizhi!”
“Bai Qian, I like you! It’s okay if you don’t like me back. It’s enough that I like you. You don’t have to say yes to me, but you have to come back with me.”
Having confessed, Shao Zizhi suddenly felt fearless. “Anyway, if you don’t want to see our names trending together tomorrow, you’re coming home! Bai Qian… waaa… I promise, I won’t lie to you ever again. Really, I promise!”
Terrified of what this “love-brain” girl might actually do, Bai Qian had no choice but to pull open the door and get in. Without even bothering to buckle her seatbelt, she urged, “Drive. Let’s go, quickly.”
Shao Zizhi refused to budge. “Bai Qian, I just confessed to you. You haven’t answered me yet.”
“Drive first. Then I’ll answer.”
“Oh.”
As the car moved unhurriedly forward, the air was filled with Shao Zizhi’s muffled sobs. Bai Qian couldn’t take it anymore. “Can’t you just calm down?”
The girl felt wronged. “I saw your stuff was gone and I felt like I was dying. I couldn’t hold it in once I left the house. I want to be calm, but you have to give me some time to process!”
“Fine. Process away.”
“Bai Qian, I’ve been driving for a while now. You can answer my question.”
Bai Qian answered coldly, “If I answer, you’ll be even less calm. My silence is for your own good.”
Shao Zizhi murmured, “It’s okay. I’m prepared. Whether you like me or not, I can handle it calmly. Bai Qian… answer me. Can you date me?”
“No.”
“I see.” Shao Zizhi spoke with forced stability, then immediately let out an involuntary, tearful hiccup. “I’m fine. Don’t worry, Bai Qian. I… hic… I’m very calm. I… hic… WAAAAA! Why don’t you like me?! WAAAA! What’s wrong with me?! How could you say something so cold to me?! Waaa… Bai Qian, how can you be so cruel?!”
“Stop the car.”
“WAAA! I won’t! If I can’t have your heart, I’ll at least have your body!”
Bai Qian: ? Where is she reading this bizarre CEO fanfic?
“Stop the car. I’m too young to die.”
“Waaa… what does that mean?”
“You almost hit the guardrail just now. I don’t trust you with my life right now. Stop. I’m driving.”
They swapped seats. Shao Zizhi huddled piteously in the passenger side, sniffling. “Do you really not like me? Then… if you don’t like me this year, can you start liking me next year?”
Bai Qian focused on the road, turning a deaf ear to the buzzing in her ear.
“Waaa… this isn’t the way home. Hic… Bai Qian, where… where are you taking me?”
“To get my luggage.”
******
Bai Qian found that the guest room door had been completely locked. She dropped her suitcase and went to interrogate the girl who was currently drinking water in the kitchen.
“Why won’t the guest room door open?”
Shao Zizhi had calmed down, though her eyes were still red. “I locked it. It’s never opening again!”
“Then where am I supposed to sleep?”
The girl hummed. “Wherever you slept last night is where you sleep tonight. And every night after that!”
“Do you remember what you told me before? That you aren’t a love-brain? Look at your behavior right now—is this not a love-brain?”
“Well, I take it back! I am a love-brain! From now on, I’m going to subject you to ‘Forced Love’! You aren’t allowed to go anywhere except by my side!”
Bai Qian rubbed her forehead. “Please, read less of that weird stuff. Also, as for ‘Forced Love’—” She smirked. “What happened yesterday? That was Forced Love. Don’t use words you don’t understand.”
Shao Zizhi’s face flushed. “I’m drinking water! Stop looking at me!”
Bai Qian stopped teasing the thin-skinned but stubborn girl. Truthfully, there wasn’t much difference between the master and guest rooms anymore. Since they had already shared the most intimate acts, being fussy about separate rooms felt a bit pretentious.
As she was putting away her clothes, Shao Zizhi walked in with a shopping bag.
“These are couple’s indoor slippers. I got black for you and white for me. Put the new ones on after your shower.”
“These are cotton slippers for after the bath. The colors are the same, but the patterns are different. Yours is a pig, mine is a cat. I’ve unpacked them; wear them if you’re cold.”
“This cup and electric toothbrush set is yours. Mine is right here. Take them in and put them together, okay?”
“Wait,” Bai Qian interrupted. “Little girl, if I remember correctly, my answer earlier was ‘no,’ wasn’t it?”
Shao Zizhi was completely unreasonable but full of bravado. “I know! But I’m doing ‘Forced Love’ now, so I can’t hear your rejections at all!”
“…”
Bai Qian gave up on arguing with the Shao family.
The “Forced Love” cohabitation officially began. In reality, Bai Qian found that not much had changed, except that all her daily items were now part of a “couple’s set.” Their life at home remained as it always was.
Finally, Shao Zizhi’s Autumn Chill on the Han River began filming. When Bai Qian received a selfie of her in costume, she finally let out a sigh of relief. The invisible threat of the scumbag male lead had been truly uprooted.
Her remaining task was to ensure Shao Zizhi finished her current project and The Evil safely. Then, her mission in this world would be a success.
One evening, Shao Zizhi returned home quite late. Bai Qian was already in bed about to sleep when the girl entered, bringing a chill from the outside. Her first words were all too familiar.
“I’m home, Bai Qian! Did you miss me?”
Bai Qian calmly acted as if she heard nothing.
The girl didn’t care and continued, “I missed you! Bai Qian, I missed you!” She walked over and squatted by the bed, staring at Bai Qian like an adorable puppy. “Bai Qian, are you going to sleep? I haven’t eaten much today and I’m hungry. Can you eat a late-night snack with me? I want to eat with you.”
Bai Qian sighed. “Are you an elementary schooler? You can’t eat unless someone is with you?”
“If being an elementary schooler makes you say yes, then I’m an elementary schooler! I picked up some braised snacks and two packs of river snail rice noodles. Are you hungry? If so, I’ll cook your portion after my shower!”
Bai Qian was speechless. “Snail noodles in the middle of the night? Aren’t you afraid the smell will keep you awake?”
Shao Zizhi looked distressed. “What should I do then? I only bought snail noodles. I won’t be full if I only eat the braised snacks.”
Bai Qian felt that she wasn’t a “Guardian” anymore; she was purely a babysitter.
“Aren’t there some noodles in the cupboard? Cook those. If you dare touch those snail noodles, you’re sleeping in the living room tonight.”
Shao Zizhi nodded obediently. “Fine. Then don’t sleep yet. Wait for me to shower, then come eat with me.”
“I didn’t agree to that.”
“I don’t care. Woman, you do not want to know the price of provoking me!”
“…”
Someone, please come and take this crazy girl away!
