I Became the Cure for the Cursed Prince - Chapter 144
“My stamina isn’t that weak, you know.”
Lucas wrapped his arms around Leon’s neck and gently pressed a kiss to his forehead.
“I meant that even if I have to crawl, I’ll get up. If it’s something you leave behind for me, I can handle anything.”
Leon pushed Lucas down onto the bed, his body pressing him into the sheets. Their eyes met for only a moment before Leon closed the space between them with a long, breath-stealing kiss. Their bodies were so tightly pressed together that Lucas could feel Leon’s heartbeat echoing in his own chest, as if waves were crashing inside both of them.
Leon wanted to lean in and whisper what he had kept to himself.
Watching you earlier, laughing and drinking with the other men… it was harder than I expected. I didn’t know how much I had taken your distance for granted until I saw you like that again.
“Lucas…”
Leon brushed his fingers through Lucas’s hair, then moved quickly, tugging at his clothes with a mix of urgency and hunger. He paused briefly, surprised at what he saw, but the reason behind it didn’t matter anymore.
A teasing smile curved Lucas’s lips as he murmured, “I skipped the underwear on purpose. I was trying to tempt you.”
Leon could only laugh quietly in disbelief, his tension softening for a moment.
As Lucas gave himself to the moment, Leon moved with intent, every gesture filled with deep emotion and pent-up desire. The air between them was thick with heat and the kind of closeness that came only from years of love, longing, and connection.
Every touch, every sound, every look held something more than just physical attraction. It was need, it was devotion, it was frustration, and above all, it was love.
Leon paused only when he saw Lucas cover his mouth, his eyes wide with sudden awareness. Guests were still in the palace. Lucas nodded when Leon asked if that was what he was worried about.
Leon’s expression darkened with something intense. Without saying much, he moved again, harder this time, as if trying to replace every doubt and fear with his presence alone.
“Still worrying about them? I’m surprised you can even think right now.”
Leon’s voice trembled with both passion and emotion, his anger only barely masking the ache of jealousy and love. Lucas reached out, holding onto him tightly.
“It’s not what you think. I was never thinking about anyone else. Only you. Always you.”
Leon stared at him, breathless and overwhelmed, caught between emotion and desire.
It seemed like Leon had once said something like that.
“How do you understand someone’s heart so well, even without words? Sometimes I wonder if we were born as two halves of the same soul.”
Lucas smiled softly, wrapped his arms around Leon’s neck, and gently pulled him down.
“Kiss me.”
Leon embraced him and kissed him deeply, a kiss that carried both longing and certainty. He began to move again, their bodies aligned, every motion charged with emotion. Lucas could hardly hold back the sounds that escaped him.
“The empress has guests in the next room, and still you’re like this,” Leon whispered, half amused and half breathless. “You’re impossible when you’re this seductive.”
The way Lucas lay open before him stirred something deep within Leon. Satisfaction mixed with something more tender.
Even now, there were moments when Leon felt Lucas was someone just out of reach, no matter how close they were. He had everything, yet whenever Lucas spoke comfortably with someone older, someone from a different world, Leon couldn’t help but feel a small pang of jealousy.
If he couldn’t be the only one aging, then at least in moments like these, he wanted to feel like the one in control.
“Leon… I love you.”
Lucas’s voice was weak with emotion, tears mixed with his words.
“Thank you… for always staying the same these past ten years.”
Even through his own vulnerability, Lucas’s words were sincere.
Leon pressed a kiss to his shoulder, then held him tighter, as if to ground them both in the moment. Their closeness grew even more intense, filled with raw need and unspoken promises.
Lucas stifled his voice with his hand, remembering the guests nearby. Leon watched him with dark, glowing eyes.
“Are you embarrassed they’ll hear you?” he whispered.
Lucas gave the faintest nod.
Leon leaned in, holding him close, his voice low and deliberate.
“Then let them hear just how much you belong to me. Maybe then, no one will ever interrupt our nights again.”
Lucas’s eyes turned a deep, flushed red, but he still refused to remove the hand that was covering his mouth. That small act of restraint, combined with his helpless expression, made him unbearably endearing. Leon couldn’t help but press soft kisses across his face, trying to express everything he felt but couldn’t say out loud.
Lucas’s body trembled beneath him, overwhelmed. Maybe it was because he hadn’t taken the usual suppressants, or maybe it was something deeper. Leon had been with him almost every night, except for the one before when Lucas had spent time with Elisha. And yet, even with that constant closeness, it still never felt like enough.
He wanted to match Lucas’s preference for tenderness, to move slowly and lovingly. But the intensity he felt now refused to be subdued.
Just the thought of being connected so deeply, of being inside Lucas, brought a rush of possessive emotion. Lucas gasped for air, his breath hitching with every motion. The sensation was overwhelming, more than usual, and Leon knew it. He could feel it in the way Lucas clung to him, the way his voice trembled.
Leon’s need always surged in moments like this after reading headlines that mentioned Lucas, after seeing him share casual intimacy with others, or hearing distant news from the North. He couldn’t hide his jealousy. And tonight, that possessive energy surfaced again, more fiercely than before.
“I wish you could carry my child,” Leon whispered, voice rough with longing. “If your health allowed it… I would want nothing more than to see you grow full with our child, again and again. To be that close to you, always.”
The words came from somewhere deep, where his insecurities still lived. His obsession, which had stayed quiet for a while, had begun to stir again. Regret started to surface. He had only meant to have dinner with old friends, but he had ended up revealing too much the closeness, the laughter. Maybe that had been a mistake.
At least he hadn’t said it out loud. At least he hadn’t joked about wishing things would go back to the way they were, when the curse made their bond unavoidable.
Leon took a breath, trying to calm himself. But the tension in him was still too strong. He moved with purpose, his motions deep and intense, yet still filled with everything he couldn’t put into words. Lucas held on tightly, his body responding despite the weight of it all.
In a sudden motion, Leon shifted their position, and Lucas found himself turned with care but firm intent. Leon’s breath brushed over the back of his neck, rough and uneven, as he whispered, low and commanding.
“Open up for me.”
Leon lifted Lucas by the waist and pressed down gently on his shoulders. With his head buried in the pillow and his hips raised, Lucas felt the change in position stir something deeper. The sensation intensified, sending a shiver through his entire body.
“Ah… Leon…”
His inner muscles tightened around the pressure inside him. The overwhelming feeling made it difficult to stay still. His hips instinctively lowered, chasing the release his body craved.
Lucas rubbed his forehead against the pillow and pleaded with a trembling voice.
“Leon, please… just finish it.”
He knew Leon would never stop unless Lucas said the words aloud. And the moment he did, Leon gave in. A deep warmth began to spread inside him. Leon lowered his head to Lucas’s shoulder, breathing heavily against his skin.
The intensity of the release made it feel like it could fill his entire core.
“Just a little more…”
Lucas’s body was overcome by a strange mix of pleasure and fatigue. It wrapped around him completely, like the painful ecstasy he had felt when they had first become one. His body, still soaked in Leon’s scent, finally gave out and collapsed onto the mattress. He lay still, trembling slightly.
Leon’s chest pressed against his back. Even while holding him, Leon whispered again.
“I am already holding you, but I still want to hold you more.”
Lucas said nothing.
“It has been ten years, and yet I still feel the same. I wonder how many more times I need to hold you before this feeling will finally settle.”
Lucas almost answered. He almost said he felt the same way. But he stopped himself.
Had he ever really been able to think clearly when Leon was holding him like this? The pheromones, the intensity, the raw emotion, just keeping himself steady through it all was more than enough.
So instead of lying, he simply turned his head slightly on the pillow to face him.
Leon’s face was right there, close, watching him.
“When you want to hold me, you always can.”
Leon smiled brightly.
Seeing that smile lifted the weight in Lucas’s chest.
Leon’s worry had always been another shape of love. Just as Leon had decided to embrace not only Lucas but everything that came with him, Lucas had made a decision too. He would love Leon completely including his anxiety and his fierce devotion.
Because love was never just one feeling. It was something they chose to carry together, again and again.
