I Became the Cure for the Cursed Prince - Chapter 118
Leon drew the curtains. Only a faint glow of moonlight lit the bedroom.
Doing this in the dark probably wasn’t the best idea, but it had been so long since I last shared a bed like this. I couldn’t help it. If I wanted tonight to go well, I needed to make Lucas feel completely at ease.
“Do you think this is enough?”
In the darkness, Lucas’s deep black eyes sparkled as he looked around. Then he let out a quiet sigh.
“Did you make sure the kids are asleep?”
“Yes. They must be sound asleep by now. I was really tired after everything today.”
Leon looked at Lucas’s face, still unable to look away. The corners of his eyes lifted slightly as he glanced toward the door. His cheeks were slightly red, and even in the dark, his pale skin seemed to glow. Every time Leon looked at him, he felt the same warmth and admiration. He always wanted to go to him and hold him close.
“When I wake up?”
“We need to show the kids that their fathers have a strong and loving relationship. The sooner we start teaching them that, the better.”
Lucas shook his head gently and pulled the blanket over himself. Leon climbed onto the bed beside him and whispered softly.
“No?”
It wasn’t that I didn’t like it. No, the truth is, I wanted to hug him too much. But the problem was the children. They could wake up at any moment and come looking for their father. Leon let out a soft sigh.
“Luca, I’ve been holding back for so long.”
“Yes, you have. It’s time to let yourself go.”
Lucas climbed over Leon’s body as he lay beside him. He placed his lips on Leon’s neck and slowly moved downward. He could feel the shape of Leon’s broad shoulders and the gentle curve of his chest through his lips. Leon let out a rough breath as Lucas pressed his tongue firmly against his sternum and tried to go lower.
As his warm breath touched my skin, a deep woody scent filled my lungs. I felt overwhelmed, like I was losing control from the rush of pheromones I hadn’t felt in such a long time.
Lucas believed that if he turned off the lights, Leon wouldn’t be able to see his face, so he could stay in control. But he was wrong. When the lights were off, every sense became more alert, and his body grew so hot it felt like it was burning.
This is too much. Now I can’t just turn the lights back on.
Lucas sat up with a dry laugh. Leon looked at him with confusion.
“Why are you suddenly acting like this when everything was going so well?”
“I know turning off the lights won’t change anything.”
“Why not? I’m worried about the kids. I’m just not in a good mood.”
“No, it’s actually the opposite.”
Leon smiled and scrunched his nose. In the past, he would have nagged or questioned every little thing. Now, he just smiled. He really had changed.
You have to learn what you don’t know, no matter what it takes. Lucas had always been someone who got involved in every detail.
As time passed, the distance between them faded, replaced by a growing closeness and understanding.
Leon tilted his head as he looked at Lucas’s thoughtful face.
“That look you’re giving me right now. It’s too much. Too tempting. So if you don’t mind…”
I don’t think I can hold back anymore. Leon barely waited for the words to fade before grabbing Lucas by the waist and laying him down on the bed. His eyes, now filled with desire, traced every line of Lucas’s body. Leon leaned in and took a deep breath against his neck.
“Ha… I feel like I can finally breathe.”
As Leon desperately tried to kiss Lucas’s chest, the door swung open. The last person he wanted to see tonight appeared.
It was Jay.
“Your Majesty!”
Elisha was the only daughter among the triplets. She had just turned five and was by far the most affectionate and charming. But she was also the most unpredictable. Like her brothers, she dreamed vividly, and every time she woke up, she would run to Leon or Lucas and share every detail before falling back asleep.
It was because of Elisha that Leon and Lucas hadn’t been able to share a proper moment together in months.
“Majesty.”
Lucas smiled and whispered to Leon.
“You said there was absolutely no way I would wake up tonight.”
“Yeah, that must have been what it was. Who does that kid take after to be so full of energy?”
“Well then, who do you think she gets it from?”
Even though their moment had been interrupted, both Leon and Lucas smiled as they looked at their daughter. Leon quickly grabbed his gown, tied it around his waist, and opened his arms to Elisha. She leaped onto the bed and hugged him tightly. Leon gently scolded her.
“I told you, if you keep running around like a human, you’re going to get hurt.”
“Oh, that’s right. Your Majesty, I thought you were a tiger.”
Looking at his daughter who always used the royal title but never spoke formally, Lucas tried to hold back his laughter and spoke in a calm tone.
“Elisha, can you say that again?”
Elisha pouted and looked at Leon. Her golden eyes were teary, and it seemed like she was about to cry. Seeing that, Leon felt a pang in his heart. He gently patted her back and spoke softly to Lucas.
“It looks like she had a bad dream. Let me tell the story first.”
Elisha smiled and curled up in Leon’s arms.
“That’s right. Yes. I had a really, really scary dream.”
Leon placed his hands under Elisha’s arms and lifted her onto his lap. Lucas narrowed his eyes slightly as he watched them. In his mind, he imagined Diego and Andrea complaining again that their father only showed love to Elisha.
Elisha, Diego, and Andrea were triplets born on the same day and shared many of the same traits. But Leon had always been softer toward Elisha, simply because she was his daughter. That was why Lucas often ended up playing the role of the strict one.
He wanted to send Elisha back to bed so he could finally rest with Leon, but he couldn’t bring himself to do it. Her innocent charm completely disarmed him.
“Well, you know… I had a dream about a dragon.”
At her words, both Leon and Lucas spoke at the same time.
“What color?”
“Was it gold? Was it black?”
Elisha’s eyes widened as she looked between them.
“Hmm… I’m not really sure about the color.”
Lucas cleared his throat. It seemed like the dragon that held their fate in its claws hadn’t revealed itself just yet.
“So, what happened in the dream?”
“The dragon carried me into the sky. I couldn’t fly, so I held on to its neck to keep from falling.”
Lucas looked confused. He started wondering if she had fallen or not. Since she didn’t fall, he couldn’t understand why she found the dream frightening. When he looked over at Leon, who had been listening closely, Leon finally spoke after a thoughtful pause.
“Don’t worry. Elisha can defeat a dragon.”
“I can’t win…”
Tears started forming in Elisha’s eyes again. Leon quickly cupped her cheeks with both hands, startled.
“Why are you crying?”
“No… I was scared that I might be too strong and hurt the dragon. But what if I win? It felt amazing to fly.”
“Oh, what should I say to that?”
Only then did the mood lighten. Leon chuckled and pulled Elisha into a tight hug.
“Yes, Elisha will definitely win. Our daughter is truly amazing.”
Leon gave a thumbs-up and smiled warmly at Lucas. Lucas looked back at him in silence, unable to find the right words. After a moment, he lowered his gaze. The child who had been resting his forehead against Leon’s chest slowly lifted his head.
“Do you mean you want to learn how to control your strength?”
Elisha tilted her head slightly, as if the thought had never occurred to her before.
“No. I think the more strength I have, the better.”
“Then what do you think Dad should do to help Alicia feel better?”
Elisha’s face turned pink, and she leaned in to kiss Leon on the cheek. Leon, surprised by her sudden affection, broke into a smile that lit up his entire face. The child who had been sitting in her arms wriggled free and began bouncing on the bed with excitement.
“I was scared, but after I kissed you, it all went away. Kissing is the best medicine.”
My heart, which had been so uncertain about how to care for this child, suddenly felt full. He was kinder than anyone I had ever met, gentle and pure like untouched snow, and so sweet it brought tears to my eyes. I was deeply moved. As I watched him, I saw an image of young Leon reflected in his innocence.
“Daddy, are you crying?”
Elisha, who had been quietly watching Lucas’s face, walked over to him and wrapped her arms around his shoulders. She hugged him tightly, then kissed his forehead. She looked over at Leon with gentle eyes. Leon returned her gaze and answered softly.
“Daddy Lou is crying because Elisha is just too cute.”
“Huh? You think I’m cute, so why are you crying?”
“I have the cutest little tiger. That means our Elisha takes after her father.”
