I Became the Cure for the Cursed Prince - Chapter 114 (Slight R19)
A little while later, the royal physician entered and bowed.
Leon got straight to the point.
“How much longer do I have to wait?”
“…Pardon? Wait for what, exactly?”
“For intimacy. It must be tough early on, so is it about three months we have to wait?”
The physician replied with a troubled expression.
“In Lord Lucas’s case… it will likely take even longer. At least six months are needed before it’s considered stable. Even after six months, caution is still necessary, but it wouldn’t be impossible.”
“…What if we’re extremely careful and only once a month?”
The physician answered firmly.
“No, Your Majesty. Absolutely not. Please, just hold his hand.”
Leon’s face crumpled with frustration.
“But before we even knew he was pregnant, we were together, and it was fine. Do we really have to be this cautious?”
“Your Majesty, please endure it for six months.
Lucas is not an ordinary Omega.
He’s male, and an Alpha at that—he’s performing a miracle right now.”
Leon’s face, which had looked like a dreaming boy, suddenly turned serious.
“You’re right. Lucas is a miracle. I must not act selfishly.”
“…I believe Your Majesty will do well.”
Leon took a deep breath to calm himself and picked up a pen.
He carefully wrote down a list of herbs that were said to be good for pregnant people.
“Are any of these harmful to Lucas?”
The physician examined the list carefully and answered, “No, they are all safe. Shall I prepare them into a tonic?”
“Yes, do that.”
The physician took the paper with the list and quietly left the room.
Leon personally prepared rare fruits he had received from a neighboring country and brought them to Lucas’s room.
He was worried Lucas might not be able to eat them, but thankfully, Lucas ate them happily.
Leon moved closer and pressed his lips gently to Lucas’s still-flat belly.
Then he made a soft, rumbling sound—”prrrr.”
It wasn’t from his mouth; it was more like a deep vibration from his throat and nose.
Strangely, the moment Lucas heard it, the nausea from eating settled, and a warm feeling filled his chest.
“…What was that?”
Leon smiled warmly and said, “It’s called prusten.”
“Prusten?”
“It’s a sound that tigers make only toward those they love.
Usually, mothers use it to soothe their cubs.”
At that, Lucas laughed so hard he threw his head back.
“How do you know the baby in my belly is a tiger?”
“I just have a feeling.
It must have inherited my abilities.”
Lucas closed his eyes and pictured a baby tiger that looked just like Leon.
The thought alone made his heart melt.
“Please, let it be a tiger. Leon, make that sound again.”
Prrr… prrr…
Leon made the soft, rumbling sound again and again, a sound said to be understood only by feline creatures.
Each time, Lucas smiled, whispering I love you over and over.
After showing his strength in front of Leon, Lucas spent peaceful days.
He didn’t experience morning sickness or headaches like most pregnant people.
He was stronger than ever and could handle most things on his own.
After six months, once he entered the fully stable stage of pregnancy, he began helping Leon with official duties.
He also visited the greenhouse, made to replicate the exact environment of Rion Castle, to spend time with the animals as part of prenatal care.
Under the blessings and care of Lulu, Jerry, Rai, Coco, and the others, the baby grew steadily.
As time passed, Lucas’s belly began to round noticeably.
One morning, after finishing his Crown Princess lessons, Lucas headed toward the greenhouse—and ran into Leon.
Normally, Leon’s face would light up with a bright smile no matter where they met, but today, his face was cold and stiff.
Even Ermon, who usually accompanied him, was nowhere to be seen.
Lucas asked with a puzzled expression,
“Leon?”
“I was on my way to the greenhouse.”
“But you still have work to do, don’t you?”
“I thought you might be there.” Leon’s face remained hard.
Lucas wanted to ask what was wrong, but before he could, Leon grabbed his hand and pulled him toward the greenhouse.
When they opened the door, a blast of warm air rushed out.
Normally, the animals would come running to greet them, but today, not a single one appeared.
Were they all taking a nap because he had come earlier than usual?
Lucas glanced at Leon, but his face was twisted with anger, so severe that it seemed the animals were too scared to come out.
“Lucas, I can’t hold it back anymore.”
“Hold what back? Leon, what happened today?”
Leon let out a long sigh and grabbed Lucas gently by both shoulders.
“I’ve been studying medicine too. After six months, it’s safe for us to be together again.”
“…Is that all?”
Lucas laughed a little, the tension easing from his face.
Leon immediately bristled at his reaction.
“If it’s really my child, they wouldn’t reject their father.”
Lucas wasn’t unaffected either.
Last night, just inhaling Leon’s deep, woody scent had made his heart race and his body tense.
But both of them had held back—Lucas because he didn’t want to break Leon’s restraint and Leon because he knew they needed to be careful.
Now, the physician had given them permission.
Lucas noticed how Leon’s body was already reacting, his arousal unmistakable even through his clothes.
Unconsciously, Lucas swallowed.
The thought crossed his mind—if he were to kneel down right now…
“But… we’re in the greenhouse…”
Leon gave a playful smile.
“No one comes here. They’re afraid of the semi-wild animals.
Could there be a better place?”
There was no room to argue.
Leon pulled Lucas into a tight embrace.
“…I’ll be gentle and slow,” he whispered in a voice that sent shivers down Lucas’s spine.
Lucas’s own self-control cracked.
Looking into Leon’s burning golden eyes, Lucas murmured shyly,
“Then… you open yourself up first.”
Leon’s eyes widened with both surprise and excitement.
Lucas pointed to a flat stone nearby.
“Sit there. Let me take care of you.”
Without hesitation, Leon moved.
As he settled onto the stone, Lucas approached him—his movements slow, deliberate, full of unspoken affection.
Before they could lose themselves completely, Lucas paused, holding Leon’s gaze with his own.
“…But first,” Lucas said softly, “Tell me what happened today.
Why did you look so upset when you left your office?”
Leon frowned.
He had hoped to keep the troubling news from Lucas—he didn’t want to burden him.
Lucas’s hand, gentle but insistent, traced small circles, patiently waiting.
“…It’s nothing serious,” Leon finally said. “Exer brought news.
Some remnants of Vilter’s faction are planning to form a rebellion.”
The words hit Lucas like cold water.
He froze, his hand stilling in shock.
Seeing his pale face, Leon hurried to reassure him.
“Don’t worry. They’re nothing but a few petty thugs. They’re not strong enough to threaten the Empire.”
“Leon…” Lucas’s voice trembled.
He knew Leon too well. If it were truly nothing, Leon wouldn’t have been so upset.
Leon reached out, gently taking Lucas’s hand and placing it over his heart.
“You know I’m a predator,” Leon said with a faint smile.
“I can’t help but react to threats. But that’s all it is.”
Lucas still seemed worried, but Leon gave him no time to linger on dark thoughts.
He pressed Lucas’s hand lower, over his body that was throbbing with need.
“I’ve waited long enough, it hurts. Won’t you help me?”
