How To Save Yourself From Being Targeted By The Anemo Archon In Genshin Impact? - Chapter 15
Decarabian suddenly laughed and pinched the youth’s chin to lift his gaze. “Earlier, outside the city, you refused to come with me. Now, for the sake of a spirit, you yield?”
The Wind Spirit stared at the hand gripping Jiang Yubai. It knew that because of its presence, the youth had fallen back into the God’s hands. Powerless against the Demon God, it could only hover in helpless anxiety, its two feathers drooping dejectedly.
Jiang Yubai did not struggle. He looked directly into the Demon God’s eyes and asked, “Just tell me, is it a deal or not?”
Decarabian remained silent for a long moment before answering with action. He swept Jiang Yubai away, leaving the Wind Spirit startled and alone in the empty space, shivering in the cold wind.
Host! I will light a candle for your virtue!
I feel like you are gloating.
How could I? My dear Host, I won’t be able to see anything in a moment anyway. When a Host engages in that kind of activity, we systems are locked in the small dark room. The system coughed twice before adding, Don’t make me wait too long.
Get out!
Jiang Yubai’s face darkened as if he had swallowed a fly, ending the mental spat with the system.
He had been taken back to the high tower from before. Outside, the gale howled. Because they were at the highest point, a glance out revealed a sky choked with dust and sand.
And now, he was being pinned against the throne.
He turned his head to dodge Decarabian’s kiss, his dagger silently pressed against the other’s body. He knew he was merely struggling in vain, like an ant trying to move a mountain. But he had to try!
Damn it, this guy actually wants to do it with me!
God knows where this Demon God got the idea. He ignored women but fixated on him! Thinking back, the root of the trouble was their first meeting. Decarabian said he had never met a human who could wound him and demanded his fealty. Plus, that cursed Favorability Buff must be fueling this fire!
Forced onto the throne and held down by the shoulders, Jiang Yubai racked his brain in the shadows and blurted out, “Wait! Do you even like me?”
Decarabian’s downward movement paused.
Seeing it work, Jiang Yubai continued his bluff. “You don’t like me, and I don’t feel that way about you. So, we shouldn’t be doing this.” His tone was certain.
“I love humans,” Decarabian said. “For them, I have used my power to block the blizzards and the cold.”
“They are your subjects. Protecting them is natural,” Jiang Yubai said slowly. “That isn’t love; it is responsibility. Similarly, you aren’t interested in me, but in my strength. Because you sit on high and are constantly lonely, no one dares to look you in the eye or resist you. Meeting a human who can wound you feels novel and fresh. That isn’t love, Decarabian.”
The hurricane roared outside the tower. Jiang Yubai subtly observed the God’s expression. Decarabian looked first bewildered, then thoughtful. Jiang Yubai breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed to be working; he thought the Demon God might actually listen.
The next second.
“Ha. Who cares?”
Everything he wanted was within reach. A mere human had piqued his interest over the long span of time. Decarabian did not understand human love, but for the first time, physical desire had been stirred by a fragile human. If he wanted it, he would take it. It was that simple.
Jiang Yubai’s face stiffened. A bad premonition flooded his mind.
“I want you.”
The cold voice came from above, the tone entirely matter-of-fact and beyond question.
Negotiations failed.
Pain shot through his wrist as the dagger fell to the floor. Jiang Yubai was shocked to find himself swept up by the waist and sat upon Decarabian’s lap. He turned his head away, only for a cool kiss to land on his cheek.
Seeing the host finally push his luck too far, the system could not bear to watch and retreated into Jiang Yubai’s mind. Host, take care of yourself.
Jiang Yubai had no energy to reply to the dog system. As their distance closed, he felt the man’s breath on his skin, causing a shiver to run through him. In an instant, he attacked the God’s vitals and tried to bolt while the other was momentarily distracted!
Before he could run more than a few meters, Decarabian appeared like a ghost. Jiang Yubai was pinned against the stone wall, unable to move.
I need to report him for cheating!
He could not run, and he could not win a fight. What was he supposed to do?
With his limbs pinned, Jiang Yubai panted, his head hanging helplessly. He realized once again the power of a Demon God; as a mere human, he was completely outmatched. He wished he could slap his past self for arriving in this world and lightheartedly claiming he wanted to retire. He thought he was just an ordinary human and a Demon God would never notice him. Instead, the God noticed him and wanted to sleep with him!
If he could do it over, he would run as far as possible from this tower. No wonder his subjects wanted to rebel. Aside from raising a wind wall and providing food, this guy did nothing. He treated humans like objects. Decarabian probably still thought his methods were flawless.
People here say a Demon God loves humanity, but the way he loves is just different. In his case, the God chose to love him with direct physical action. Not necessary. Really.
Jiang Yubai’s regret was overwhelming. He wanted to flee Mondstadt overnight. The closest place was Liyue; if he ran there, this guy could not keep chasing him. And even if he did, Morax said he would be safe in his territory. He wondered who was stronger; if Morax was weaker than Decarabian, would he be leading a wolf into a sheepfold?
Jiang Yubai was not that kind of person; he could not transfer danger to others. As soon as the thought appeared, it vanished. He could not even get out of this tower, let alone Mondstadt.
After several failed struggles, Jiang Yubai swore every curse word he knew. The Demon God’s expression never changed; it was unclear if he did not understand the modern slang or just was not listening. Instead, Jiang Yubai grew tired and thirsty, tired from struggling and thirsty from cursing.
This was the first time he felt completely at someone’s mercy. He mocked himself; no one would have thought he would fall to this point. If his enemies from other worlds could see him now, they would be cheering.
Being pinned down by a man.
Jiang Yubai’s gaze grew hazy. Decarabian tilted his head. Seeing the youth finally stop struggling and cursing as if accepting his fate, the God glanced at the youth’s shirt, which had become messy during the struggle. His fingers brushed over the wrist he was holding, and he leaned down toward the human’s neck.
A knock sounded on the door. Then, the silver-haired girl Jiang Yubai had seen before entered of her own accord. She looked at the mess in the room; even the sight of the only throne flipped on the floor did not surprise her. She looked directly at Decarabian and said calmly, “King, I have something to tell you.”
Interrupted, Decarabian lifted his head from Jiang Yubai’s neck and looked at the girl. Amos met his gaze steadily.
She had followed the God of Storms for many years. The God favored her, she knew, or she would not have fallen so helplessly in love with an enemy. Amos was certain Decarabian would not strike her.
“Mhm.”
Decarabian answered. He looked at the human with dazed eyes and messy clothes, thought for a moment, and Jiang Yubai successfully earned a second pair of shackles, the reinforced kind. The chains were connected directly to the wall. No matter how much skill Jiang Yubai had, he could not kick his way out of these.
After locking Jiang Yubai up, Decarabian left, likely to discuss important matters with the girl.
The system peeked out cautiously. Seeing its host looking broken, lying motionless on the bed for a long time without even changing posture, it wondered if he had collapsed. Spotting a fresh red mark on his neck, the system did not dare breathe loudly. It slowly nudged Jiang Yubai’s pillow, nudging the youth’s head, and asked worriedly, Host, are you okay?
Jiang Yubai moved, closed his eyes, and opened them again. The light returned to his eyes. “Do I look okay?”
“Is he sick? He bites like a dog,” he said expressionlessly. “Do I look gay?”
The system looked at its host uncomfortably. It did not know if he looked gay, but the current scene was enough to give someone a nosebleed. Looking at the torn collar and the red tooth mark on his fair neck, it was quite blood-pumping. If the systems from the BL division saw this, they would be fighting over him to be the bottom in a heartbeat. A host with strong skills, a proud personality, and occasional incredible tenderness would be a standout in a BL world.
After all, men have a desire to conquer. Not to mention, its host’s looks, and yet he still thinks he’s ordinary!
The system felt that if it had a human form, it would pounce on the host to teach him a lesson about his own attractiveness! Suppressing its darker thoughts, it replied, The host is very good-looking.
Jiang Yubai corrected it: “It’s called being handsome.”
System: …
Truly, a host with no self-awareness deserves to be punished!
The system rolled its eyes, realizing its worry was unnecessary. Jiang Yubai would not have a psychological breakdown; if he were that fragile, he would not have survived his previous missions.
Jiang Yubai touched the bite mark, coldly wondering if he would get rabies. Straightening his collar, he sat up just as he heard footsteps outside. His gaze turned sharp. Is he back so soon?
Unexpectedly, it was the silver-haired girl who entered.
“Guji!”
A familiar cry rang out, and a white blur shot like a cannonball toward Jiang Yubai. He reached out and caught it. Once he saw what it was, he was stunned. “Wind Spirit?”
“I found him on the way,” the girl said, closing the door and approaching Jiang Yubai. “He was dashing around the tower. I was afraid he would cause unnecessary trouble, so I brought him here. He is often with Freier, so he isn’t a stranger. My name is Amos. Freier asked me to help you when necessary.”
Ignoring the Wind Spirit, who was sniffing him all over, Jiang Yubai was confused. When did those two meet? If he guessed correctly, this Amos had clearly disliked him at first sight, warning him that Decarabian belonged to her. She seemed like a lovestruck girl, yet the Demon God did not love her at all.
And now she was helping him?
The girl’s pale silver eyes flickered as she whispered the secret code to Jiang Yubai: “Windblume.”
