Hold Tight to the Female Lead's Thigh [Transmigration GL] - Episode 9
Winding paths, pavilions, and towers adorned the scenery, a dazzling array of beauty beyond compare.
Whether forgotten or deliberate, Guan Fusha ended up holding Taohua’s hand all the way back to Hibiscus Court.
Her hand was slightly larger than Taohua’s, delicate and boneless, with skin as smooth as silk. The warmth from her palm radiated to her fingertips, making her entire hand feel comfortably warm. Taohua stole a glance at Guan Fusha and, seeing no intention of letting go, allowed her to keep holding it. Yet, for some inexplicable reason, a strange feeling stirred in her heart. She couldn’t tell whether she disliked it or liked it.
A faint smile lingered at the corner of Guan Fusha’s lips, different from her usual meaningless grins. It seemed to emerge from genuine happiness, an unconscious expression of joy.
Two soft little hands held each other as the figures in white and pink strolled leisurely along the secluded paths of Hibiscus Court, resembling two butterflies dancing gracefully among flowers. A picturesque and unique sight.
Guan Fusha led Taohua back to her private chambers and rummaged through her wardrobe before selecting a set of powder-blue silk robes for her. “Here, junior sister, change into this dress.”
Taohua’s face twitched slightly—this “thick-thighed” senior sister really had a thing for pink hues.
She took the robes and flashed a sweet, obedient smile, thanking her, “Thank you, senior sister.”
Guan Fusha smiled back. “Hurry and change.”
“Mm.” Taohua nodded.
Guan Fusha left the room, closing the door behind her to give her privacy.
Once behind the screen, Taohua’s smile vanished instantly, replaced by a reluctant frown as she stared at the powder-blue outfit. Grumbling inwardly, she thought, She doesn’t even wear such pretentious colors herself, yet she’s forcing them on me. Really…
Early the next morning, Taohua was awakened by Xiao Zhu.
Still drowsy, Taohua glanced at the neighboring bed—empty, with no sign of Guan Fusha. It seemed she had risen long ago.
After returning to the room with Guan Fusha the previous night, she had kept Taohua engaged in conversation until evening fell. Guan Fusha then insisted she stay overnight, and Taohua, too exhausted to think, agreed. Unsurprisingly, she had fallen asleep almost as soon as her head hit the pillow.
Pushing the covers aside, Taohua got out of bed and asked, “Where’s senior sister?”
Xiao Zhu, now aware that Taohua had been accepted as a disciple by Dongfang Wen, treated her with even greater respect. “The Guardian is currently meeting with the Four Elders and Eight Hall Masters in the main hall.”
Within the Night God Sect, authority was structured in descending order: The Sect Leader, the Two Guardians, the Four Elders, and the Eight Hall Masters. The current Sect Leader had long withdrawn from sect affairs, leaving most matters in Guan Fusha’s hands. The Four Elders and Eight Hall Masters had likely already regarded her as the de facto leader.
Curious, Taohua, now a member of the sect decided to ask boldly, “What’s the meeting about?”
Xiao Zhu helped her change clothes while answering, “It’s probably about you, miss.”
“Me?” Taohua blinked in confusion. “What about me?”
“Since the young lady has taken the sect leader as her master, according to our sect’s rules, from the moment of her apprenticeship, she becomes our Right Protector. The position of Right Protector has been vacant for many years. Naturally, the Protector must introduce you and explain the situation to the Four Elders and the Eight Hall Masters.”
Peach Blossom was so shocked she nearly dropped her jaw.
No way? Making her, a complete novice with zero martial arts skills, the Right Protector of the Night God Sect?! Isn’t this just setting her up to compete with Guan Fusha for the sect leader position?! Oh no, she just wanted to cling to a powerful figure. Why does it have to be so treacherous?!
Just as Peach Blossom was silently pondering whether “this thigh-hugging plan was a failure or a complete disaster,” the door to the room was suddenly flung open. A young girl dressed similarly to Little Bamboo stormed in, her face filled with rage.
With just one glance, Peach Blossom recognized her. The maid who had driven Guan Fusha’s carriage in front of Ruyi Hall that day. She remembered her name was something like.
“Xiao Yuan?” Little Bamboo set down the crescent comb in her hand, her expression unusually displeased. “What are you doing? Don’t you know you can’t just barge into the Protector’s room? You’re being utterly disrespectful!”
Instead of showing remorse at Little Bamboo’s scolding, Xiao Yuan’s anger only flared higher. “I should be asking you the same! Don’t you know this woman is trying to steal the sect leader position from the Protector?! And you’re helping her dress up?!”
“…”
Peach Blossom, silently caught in the crossfire, wanted to scream, “I’m innocent!” She had gone to great lengths to infiltrate the Night God Sect just to cling to Guan Fusha’s powerful thigh! Who in their right mind would want the cursed position of Night God Sect leader? She wouldn’t take it even if it were handed to her—ugh, no way!
Little Bamboo’s frown deepened, her voice stern. “You’re being extremely rude. Apologize to the young lady at once!”
“Hmph!” Xiao Yuan snorted sharply, flipping her wrist to draw a whip from her waist, assuming a battle stance. “Witch, I won’t let you steal the Protector’s rightful place as sect leader!”
With that, she nimbly flipped over the table, brandishing her whip like a serpent, lashing it fiercely toward Peach Blossom.
Never expecting such a young girl to resort to violence when words failed, Peach Blossom was so stunned she froze in place, forgetting even to dodge.
Little Bamboo, unarmed, swiftly tore down the gauze curtain by the bed, gripping both ends tightly to block the whip.
“You’re actually protecting her?!” Enraged that her longtime friend would betray the Protector for this unknown woman, Xiao Yuan grew even more furious, convinced Peach Blossom was behind it all. Her attacks became more vicious. “You vile woman, what kind of bewitching potion did you feed Ah Zhu to make her favor you like this?!”
Snapped out of her daze by the shout, Peach Blossom hastily ducked under the dressing table. “Don’t slander me! I come from a wealthy family. I don’t even know how to brew potions!”
“Lies!” Xiao Yuan took Peach Blossom’s words as mockery and, in her fury, split the dressing table in half with her whip. “Let’s see where you hide now!”
Peach Blossom blinked, only then realizing her “refuge” had been reduced to splinters.
Xiao Zhu had no weapon in hand. While trying to protect Taohua, she also had to fend off Xiao Yuan’s furious attacks. Before long, she began to feel overwhelmed. She shouted at the dazed Taohua, “Miss, run away now!”
“Oh… oh, right!” Taohua grabbed a bronze mirror to shield her head and ran a few steps before suddenly turning back. “Hold on, Miss Xiao Zhu! I’ll find help and come back for you!”
“Witch, don’t you dare run!” Seeing her escape, Xiao Yuan tried to give chase but was blocked once more by Xiao Zhu. With a cold snort of anger, she viciously flicked her whip and said, “Fine! Today, I’ll teach you a proper lesson on behalf of the Guardian, you traitor!”
