Hold Tight to the Female Lead's Thigh [Transmigration GL] - Episode 42
“Outrageous!” The Tianlun Sect Leader shot a glance, signaling the guards at the door to block Guan Fusha’s path. “What do you think the Tianlun Sect is? A place you can come and go as you please?”
Guan Fusha halted her steps and slightly turned her head, allowing the sect leader seated at the head of the hall to catch a glimpse of her profile. She narrowed her eyes, a hint of malice lacing her smile. “Sect Leader, if you won’t let me leave, are you perhaps inviting me to stay permanently at your Tianlun Sect?”
“Hmph! You demoness, don’t you dare act so arrogantly!” The Tianlun Sect Leader addressed the disciples gathered in the main hall. “Someone, seize the members of the Night God Cult!”
“Yes, Sect Leader!”
The Tianlun disciples obeyed the order. Though they feared the strength of the Night God Cult members, they had no choice but to steel themselves and advance. “Demoness, prepare to meet your doom!”
Guan Fusha let out a disdainful sneer. “Utterly overestimating yourselves.”
With a light leap backward, she evaded the swords thrust at her by five Tianlun disciples. Then, with a delicate tap of her foot, she landed precisely on the intersection of their five blades. She turned her gaze to the Tianlun Sect Leader and said, “Today, we came only to resolve matters. I never expected the Sect Leader to have no intention of negotiation and instead greet us with swords. Since that’s the case, don’t blame us for not holding back.”
With those words, Guan Fusha flicked her sleeve toward the five Tianlun disciples. They caught a whiff of a fragrant scent before collapsing to the ground, unconscious.
She gathered her energy once more and leaped to the center of the main hall. The lanterns hanging from the beams swayed slightly from the wind she stirred, and her airborne posture was so graceful that almost every Tianlun disciple found their eyes glued to her, unable to look away.
Guan Fusha curled her lips into a smile so captivating it was impossible to resist. She toyed with a strand of her hair and enunciated each word clearly to the Tianlun Sect Leader: “No one has ever dared to block my path when I wish to go somewhere, and no one has ever dared to stop me when I wish to leave.”
As soon as her words fell, the Tianlun disciples in the hall collapsed one after another. Some had their eyes rolled back, some foamed at the mouth, and others convulsed uncontrollably.
The Tianlun Sect Leader’s face paled. He hurried down the steps to check on his disciples, only to find most of them unconscious. Furious, he pointed a trembling finger at Guan Fusha and roared, “Demoness! What have you done to them?”
“Poisoned them, of course,” Guan Fusha replied matter-of-factly, casting him a sidelong glance. “Something so simple. Could it be that Sect Leader Li cannot even recognize it?”
“Hand over the antidote at once!” the Tianlun Sect Leader demanded.
“Antidote?” Guan Fusha let out a cold laugh. “Since I’ve already poisoned them, why would I carry the antidote? Moreover, the son of the Divine Physician An Song is your head disciple. I’ve heard his medical skills are exceptional and he has saved countless lives. Why would you need to ask me for the antidote?”
“You… you go too far!” The Tianlun Sect Leader snatched up a longsword from the ground, channeled his energy, and thrust it directly at Guan Fusha.
Her figure blurred as she leaped backward repeatedly, coming to a stop a short distance away. She smiled and said, “I advise you not to waste any more time here. You should hurry and find your head disciple to help detoxify them.”
The Tianlun Sect Leader was so angry his beard seemed to bristle. He glared at Guan Fusha but knew in his heart that this was indeed the most urgent matter.
Since a fight was no longer feasible, the Night God Cult members saw no reason to linger in the main hall. They filed out one by one, preparing to pack up and return to their cult.
Guan Fusha followed behind them, bringing up the rear. Just as she stepped out of the main hall, she paused and turned back to the Tianlun Sect Leader. “Oh, I almost forgot to tell you something. Your head disciple has also been poisoned. Right now, he should still be lying unconscious in the back hills.”
Upon hearing this, the Tianlun Sect Leader’s expression changed drastically. Without another thought for Guan Fusha, he immediately took two unaffected disciples and rushed toward the back hills.
Guan Fusha watched his hurried departure with a faint smile, then used her qinggong to leave.
On the other side.
After watching Guan Fusha leave, A’Tian entered the room and found Taohua in disheveled clothing, with used gauze casually tossed on the bed by Guan Fusha.
A’Tian lowered her gaze for a moment before gathering her spirits and stepping forward. She smiled at Taohua and asked, “Guardian, shall this servant help you dress properly?”
“No need to trouble yourself. I can manage.” Though her arm was injured, Taohua still wasn’t quite accustomed to being dressed by others.
“Well… alright.” A’Tian bowed slightly to Taohua and stepped aside to wait.
Taohua’s injured arm made dressing slower than usual, and with A’Tian watching her the entire time, she felt increasingly uncomfortable.
A’Tian, aware of Taohua’s injury and her difficulty moving, stood by attentively, ready to assist at any moment.
Time passed bit by bit. Every time Taohua lifted her arm, the wound tugged painfully, making the process agonizingly slow. This inadvertently led A’Tian’s thoughts to drift. Ever since Yan Hong had spoken those words to her that day, she hadn’t come to see her again. And not long after that, the Left Guardian was kidnapped. Judging by the timing, it seemed far too coincidental.
A’Tian’s gaze unconsciously fell on Taohua. The bloodstained gauze on her arm was a startling sight. She hurriedly averted her eyes, not daring to think further.
After struggling into her outer robe, Taohua was drenched in sweat from the pain. She realized this wasn’t the time to be stubborn and called out to A’Tian for help. “A’Tian, sorry to trouble you, but could you come help me with my outer robe?”
“Ah… yes.” A’Tian snapped out of her daze at Taohua’s call and hurried over to assist her.
Taohua glanced at her, sensing something off about her today she seemed distracted. “A’Tian, is something bothering you? You seem a bit absentminded today.”
“Huh? No, not at all!” A’Tian widened her rabbit-like eyes and denied it without thinking.
Her denial was too swift, making it seem as if she had a guilty conscience.
“Really?” Taohua hadn’t intended to press further, but then she thought about how much A’Tian had helped her since she joined the Night God Cult. Perhaps she could find a way to ease A’Tian’s troubles.
“If something is troubling you, don’t hesitate to tell me. As the saying goes, ‘Two heads are better than one.’ Maybe I can think of a way to help you. And even if I can’t, it’s still nice to have someone to vent to.” Taohua turned her head and winked playfully.
A’Tian’s face turned pale. If Taohua really had done something to harm the Left Guardian, how could she possibly bring herself to speak of it?
Noticing the change in A’Tian’s expression, Taohua asked cautiously, “A’Tian, are you alright?”
“Thank you for your concern, Guardian. This servant is fine. If there’s nothing else, I shall take my leave.” After helping Taohua into her robes, A’Tian stepped back and bowed.
“Wait!” Seeing A’Tian about to leave the room, Taohua immediately stood to stop her.
She walked over to A’Tian and tentatively asked, “The reason you’re so troubled… is it because of Hall Master Yan Hong?”
When she had gone to Hibiscus Courtyard to find Guan Fusha before, she had stumbled upon Yan Hong pinning A’Tian against the wall. And from the looks of it, A’Tian didn’t seem willing. There must be some unspeakable secret between those two, right?
A’Tian’s face changed. She widened her eyes and stared at Taohua in disbelief.
Taohua nodded. “It seems I guessed correctly. So, would you like to tell me what happened? Did Hall Master Yan Hong bully you?”
A’Tian hesitated, opening and closing her mouth before finally shaking her head. “No.”
She let out a long sigh, converting the turmoil in her heart into sound. Still, she found it difficult to speak openly to Taohua.
Taohua took A’Tian’s hand and led her to sit on the edge of the bed. She didn’t rush her, simply waiting until A’Tian was ready to speak.
“Actually… not long ago, the Hall Master came to see me.” After who knows how long, A’Tian finally mustered the courage to speak. “She found out that I’ve been secretly admiring the Guardian and said she wanted to help me and the Guardian be together.”
Taohua listened carefully without interrupting.
“And not long after she said those things to me… you were kidnapped by the North Kun Sect…”
Though A’Tian spoke haltingly, Taohua grasped the gist of her meaning. “You mean, you suspect Yan Hong colluded with the North Kun Sect to kidnap me?”
