His Sunday Substitute - Chapter 32
He needed her.
Needed her delicate skin, her warm lips and tongue, her intoxicating scent, her alluring moans…
All of it was the perfect remedy for him.
His hands still roamed greedily, his tongue still explored the confines of her small mouth. He gripped the back of her neck, denying her any chance to catch her breath. Only when he felt her body tense and the sting of her nails digging into his back did he finally release her lips, only to immediately press his mouth to her neck.
A kiss wasn’t enough. He parted his lips and bit down.
As his sharp teeth grazed her neck, scorching breath washed over her. Su Yinuo, who had just managed to gasp for air, felt as though she was about to be devoured. The weight pressing down on her didn’t feel like a man but a dangerous beast.
Yet, thankfully, the searing heat and slick caresses only brought a faint sting.
Su Yinuo wrapped her arms around Qin Cangye’s head, realizing there was no escape now. Those maddening touches and bites soon scattered everywhere. When she lifted the arm he had released, she saw bright red fingerprints already blooming on her fair skin, so the state of the rest of her body was easy to imagine.
His desire frightened her a little.
But beneath the fear, there was an unfamiliar restlessness… and anticipation.
She tangled her fingers in his hair, lifting his head to meet his gaze, his face, now utterly enslaved by desire. She smiled faintly and asked, “Do you still feel sad?”
Qin Cangye’s eyes widened. He hadn’t expected that after everything, the first words she’d offer him wouldn’t be rejection, but still, concern.
A pang of sorrow surged in his chest.
Not long ago, he had loathed the world, wishing he could drag everyone down with him. Yet now, he only wanted to thank it, for leaving him an angel like Su Yinuo.
He flung himself against her, burying his face in the crook of her neck, repeating over and over, “I love you, Nuonuo, I love you…”
Su Yinuo held him in return, gently patting his firm back, feeling his wildly pounding heart gradually steady. Relieved, she tilted her head and saw his beautiful, sorrowful, aggrieved face nestled against her shoulder. In that moment, he seemed like nothing more than a pitiful child, stirring an ache in her chest. Unable to resist, she leaned in and pressed a tender kiss to his cheek.
“Nuonuo, Nuonuo…”
That simple, fleeting kiss sent Qin Cangye spiraling into madness again, but this time, it wasn’t destruction he craved. It was possession. Devouring…
He kissed her deeply, pinning down her restless hands, gripping her thighs.
When his lips brushed her ear, she heard his ragged whisper amidst the slick sounds of his tongue: “Can I, Nuonuo?”
Su Yinuo was afraid, but the words of refusal wouldn’t come…
The next day, she woke in the afternoon.
Su Yinuo opened her eyes to the vast, bright, and luxurious bedroom, her mind blank for a long moment.
When she came to her senses, the first thing that assaulted her was an exhaustion and soreness as if her body had been crushed. She tightly shut her eyes, curled into a ball, buried her face in the blanket, and cried silently.
Her tears weren’t because she had been unwilling to do those things with Qin Cangye, but because the over ten hours of unimaginable indulgence and madness had left her momentarily terrified.
She barely recognized herself anymore. Recalling the unrestrained moans in her memory, the shameless positions, the ceaselessly swaying figures, she felt afraid, as if she had been bewitched at the time.
But in truth, there was no devil, only desires she hadn’t dared to acknowledge.
Desires she hadn’t dared to acknowledge, and for which she now felt deeply ashamed.
After crying for a while, her emotions stabilized somewhat. She wiped her eyes with the blanket and prepared to take a shower. She remembered that before passing out last night, her body had still been covered in sticky sweat and stains.
But when she sat up, she realized her skin was already clean and dry.
Had he… carried her to wash up?
An image surfaced in her mind, Qin Cangye holding her as they tumbled into the bathtub, water splashing like scattered crystals in the air. The sound of splashing had never ceased, and the water had rippled endlessly in the tub.
She had clung to the edge of the bathtub, her wet hair swaying in strands before her eyes. When she turned her head, she saw his face, still brimming with unrelenting desire.
Her waist had been gripped, warm water filling her body as he leaned down to capture her flushed lips.
Su Yinuo shook her head, dispelling the memories. Pressing her hands to her burning cheeks, she muttered softly to herself, “When exactly did I pass out?”
Her voice came out hoarser than she expected. Covering her mouth, she was dragged back into another moment from last night.
“Nuonuo, don’t bite your lips. Don’t hurt yourself,” Qin Cangye’s fingers had brushed gently over her lips before slipping inside, prying her teeth apart.
When a long-suppressed moan escaped her, his eyes had lit up.
“Nuonuo, I like… I love it when you’re like this!” His voice had trembled with excitement.
“Nuonuo, scream for me. I love hearing it!” He had lost control again, like a beast in heat.
Stop thinking about it, stop! Su Yinuo patted her cheeks and slowly got out of bed. Her legs wobbled as she made her way to the wardrobe. Opening the door, she found only a few sets of brand-new men’s sleepwear. She grabbed one at random and pulled it on.
The hem of the shirt fell to her thighs. As she lowered her head to button it up, she caught sight of several bright red bite marks near the crease of her legs.
Her entire body stiffened as she remembered last night, kneeling on the floor while he sat on the couch, his back muscles tensing and relaxing rhythmically. Her legs had been hoisted high as she arched against the couch, her toes curling…
“Ah! Stop thinking about it!” Su Yinuo covered her face.
The door suddenly swung open. Qin Cangye, dressed in neat loungewear, stood at the threshold, holding several plates of fragrant food.
Su Yinuo glanced at him once before hurriedly looking away. Without hesitation, Qin Cangye set the plates down on a nearby table, strode over, wrapped his arms around her waist, and kissed her lips.
His kiss wasn’t deep, yet it was filled with an insatiable longing. Even as he spoke, he couldn’t bear to pull away from her lips. “Nuonuo, you’re awake? Did you sleep well?”
“Not well…” Su Yinuo was flustered, turning her head away and trying to push Qin Cangye off, but she lacked the strength. Her hands resting on his chest made it seem more like teasing than resistance.
Qin Cangye lifted Su Yinuo and sat her on the nearby sofa, caressing her cheek as he asked, “Do you want to sleep more, or would you like something to eat?”
Her nightgown had slipped open, leaving her lower half completely exposed. As Su Yinuo frantically tugged at the hem, his hand had already settled there.
“What are you covering? It’s beautiful. I love it… I love it so much,” Qin Cangye murmured, his eyes filled with deep obsession. “If you hadn’t passed out, I wouldn’t have stopped even now.”
Su Yinuo’s eyes reddened as she weakly pushed against Qin Cangye’s hand.
Oblivious to her resistance, Qin Cangye continued seeking comfort in her body. “Nuonuo, you feel so good, every part of you. You don’t know how much I love it. Nuonuo, I really can’t live without you now. I…”
“Let go!!” Su Yinuo suddenly screamed, her hoarse voice making her tone terrifying.
Qin Cangye froze instantly. His shock quickly twisted into confusion and panic, his eyes reddening at the corners. He opened his mouth but didn’t dare ask anything.
“I’m sorry,” Su Yinuo said, pushing his hand away as tears rolled down her face.
“What’s wrong, Nuonuo?” Qin Cangye hurriedly set her back on the sofa, kneeling before her to wipe her tears, desperately trying to recall his mistakes. “I’m sorry, Nuonuo. Did I do something wrong? Was I too rough yesterday? But… but,” his voice softened as if gathering courage, “you didn’t refuse me. I thought… you liked it too…”
“I… I don’t blame you, wuwuwu…” Su Yinuo covered her face, sobbing. “I just feel like this isn’t right. I’m scared, but I don’t even know what I’m scared of. My heart’s racing, and I feel guilty. Do you understand? Do you?”
“I…” Qin Cangye hesitated for a few seconds before admitting honestly, “I’m sorry, I don’t really understand. But Nuonuo, you don’t have to feel this way. There’s no need to be afraid.”
He leaned forward, wrapping his arms around her waist and resting his head against her stomach as he vowed, “Nuonuo, you’re everything to me, more important than my wealth, my status, even my life. I’ll take responsibility for everything I’ve done. I’ll treat you well. Once I’ve dealt with all the obstacles in our way, I’ll marry you. I’ll make sure you never have to fear anything again, that you’re happy for the rest of your life…”
He rambled on, pouring out every promise he could think of to express his fervent love for this girl. Worried she might not believe him, he tightened his arms and emphasized, “Once Qin Weishu is dealt with, I’ll give you all my shares, all my assets, even everything the Qin family owns. I don’t need any of it. I only need you. Nuonuo, you’re more vital to me than breathing. Even if loving you means I have to die, holding you in my last moment would be enough. Do you understand?”
Su Yinuo didn’t quite understand either, what charm did she possess that could make this already exceptional man say such things? He must have encountered many women, right? Beautiful ones, wealthy ones, gentle and demure ones, cold and alluring ones… Even if he didn’t like someone as straightforward as Li Jinmiao, he must have dated other girls before. After all, his experience last night had been… remarkably extensive.
So, what made her so special?
But his arms tightened around her waist, and the flustered, earnest look on his face made his words seem unlike the empty sweet talk men spouted in TV dramas after the fact.
He seemed sincere.
Whether he was or not, his confession and promises had lifted Su Yinuo’s mood considerably. She stopped her tears, raised a hand, and ruffled Qin Cangye’s hair, grumbling, “There is one thing I really should blame you for.”
“What?” Qin Cangye immediately lifted his head, his expression obedient, like a big dog waiting for its owner’s scolding.
Su Yinuo flushed, pursed her lips, and glanced away before blurting out in one breath, “You didn’t wear a condom! That’s not right!”
“I’m sorry, I… I didn’t have any at the villa… I’ve never bought that stuff before…” Qin Cangye apologized at once, looking thoroughly embarrassed.
“That’s no excuse.”
“Yes, you’re right, Nuonuo. I was wrong. After we eat, I’ll go buy you emergency contraception, and I’ll stock up on condoms to keep at home,” Qin Cangye said solemnly.
“Why buy so many?”
“Because… we’ll be doing it every day…”
Su Yinuo smacked her palm against Qin Cangye’s face, her cheeks burning as she snapped, “In your dreams!”
After a while of playful bickering, the two finally settled at the dining table. Qin Cangye still held Su Yinuo in his arms, feeding her bite by bite, feeling utterly content just by having her close.
About the future, he had many plans, but every single one of them revolved around Su Yinuo. First, he needed to execute his plan to bring down Qin Weishu before her identity was fully exposed. Then, he would openly present her to the world. They could hold a wedding right away and register their marriage once she turned twenty…
Just as he was lost in thought, Su Yinuo in his arms suddenly let out a soft whimper of discomfort, her hand pressing against her lower abdomen.
“What’s wrong, Nuonuo?” Qin Cangye immediately set down the bowl, covering the spot she was clutching. When he realized the cause of her pain, guilt flooded him. “I’m sorry, Nuonuo. Last night, I… lost control. I was too rough with you. I won’t let it happen again.”
Su Yinuo leaned against Qin Cangye’s chest, eyes closed, waiting for the pain to fade before straightening up again. She glanced at the food in front of her, her appetite suddenly gone, and instead reached for a lychee Qin Cangye had peeled for her.
Then, a phone rang. Su Yinuo nestled back against Qin Cangye as he pulled out his phone and answered Wu Heng’s call. The moment the call connected, Qin Cangye’s expression shifted back to its usual stern indifference, a stark contrast to the pitiful, pleading look he had worn just moments ago in front of her.
“What is it?” he asked.
The phone was close enough for Su Yinuo to hear Wu Heng’s frantic voice on the other end: “Boss, Kong Wenxin’s been in an accident! A car crash, she’s unconscious!”
Su Yinuo froze, terror instantly washing over her as the lychee in her hand tumbled to the ground.
