Help, My Buff Roommate is Begging to Touch my Abs - Chapter 29
Chapter 29: Taking a Nap Together
Hearing someone else speak with such sarcasm, Jin Bao’er might only feel uncomfortable. But hearing his “Big Wolf Dog” say such things, his heart felt as if it were being slowly sliced by a blunt knife.
It hurt immensely.
At this moment, only the two of them were in the dormitory, and the atmosphere was stiflingly oppressive. Zhao Yuheng’s aggrieved tone, accompanied by a slight tremble, pierced Jin Bao’er deeply like a needle.
“Brother Heng, I didn’t.”
Jin Bao’er’s voice was dry, carrying a thick nasal tone.
“Didn’t what?”
Zhao Yuheng pressed him, his eyes bloodshot like an injured wild beast.
“I didn’t abandon you.”
“Are you taking care of me only because you saw my leg was injured and you pitied me?”
“If that’s the case, I don’t give a damn! I don’t give a damn!”
Zhao Yuheng practically roared these words, his voice filled with grievance and indignation, his chest heaving violently.
How could Jin Bao’er explain? A few days ago, he had hysterically told the man not to come near him, yet over the following days, he had desperately scrambled to get close again. Now that the man’s leg was better, he had suddenly lost his previous enthusiasm.
Forget Zhao Yuheng, if he were treated with such hot-and-cold behavior by a friend, he would probably go crazy too.
Seeing Jin Bao’er frozen in place without speaking, Zhao Yuheng was so angry that he jumped off the bed abruptly. Because his left foot was still slightly injured, he stumbled for a moment upon landing. His body tilted uncontrollably to one side, and a soft groan escaped his lips.
Seeing this, Jin Bao’er’s heart tightened instantly. He subconsciously stepped forward to check, only to be shoved away ruthlessly by Zhao Yuheng.
“Get lost! Do you like playing with me that much?”
“You treat me well when you want to, and treat me badly when you want to. Am I really that worthless?!”
Zhao Yuheng’s bloodshot eyes were full of rage. His entire face had become terrifying due to anger, and his aura was bone-chilling. He pressed forward step by step until their chests were almost touching. That masculine pressure instantly enveloped Jin Bao’er.
Jin Bao’er truly didn’t know what to do. How had he made things turn out like this?
Either cut off all ties with Brother Heng and never see each other again… or ruthlessly crush those inappropriate feelings in the depths of his heart… But he couldn’t do either. That was why the situation had reached this point today. He truly hated his own cowardice; he hated that he was gay, which had trapped both himself and Brother Heng in such a predicament.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry…”
Jin Bao’er really didn’t know what else to do. Tears welled up in his eyes without warning and instantly burst through. When Zhao Yuheng scolded him before, he didn’t cry. When he resolved to leave Zhao Yuheng, he didn’t cry. Only when Zhao Yuheng scolded him with such grievance could he no longer hold back the tears.
He really didn’t want this; he didn’t want to hurt anyone. But because of his greed, he had still hurt this person who was so good to him. He truly deserved to die, deserved to die!
Zhao Yuheng watched the tear-streaked Jin Bao’er. That face, previously filled with fury, suddenly turned calm at this moment. Seeing Jin Bao’er’s shoulders twitching from crying like an abandoned cub, the fire in his heart vanished instantly. It was replaced by a sharp pang of heartache.
“Jin Bao’er, I’ll ask you one thing: do you still want me as a brother?”
Zhao Yuheng took a deep breath, as if summoning the courage of a lifetime to say these words. Right now, he didn’t want to know the reason for Jin Bao’er’s actions; he only wanted to know if he was actually important in the other’s heart.
Hearing this, Jin Bao’er looked up at this red-eyed “Big Wolf Dog.” He pursed his lips, his vision blurred by tears, yet he nodded three times in succession each time with immense force.
After he finished, Zhao Yuheng pulled Jin Bao’er into his arms and held him tightly. He didn’t know what was wrong with himself; seeing Jin Bao’er crying so hard made him feel exceptionally miserable. Now that his position in Jin Bao’er’s heart was confirmed, he just wanted to rub this person into his embrace and never let go again.
As for Jin Bao’er, this was the first time he had been held by Zhao Yuheng while standing. His cheek was pressed tight against the other’s chest, it was hot and hard, and he could hear Zhao Yuheng’s powerful heartbeat. “Thump, thump, thump” it was active and steady, exceptionally reassuring.
Jin Bao’er swore in his heart: he must never have improper thoughts about Zhao Yuheng again, and he must not let his identity affect the man’s life. Then let them be true brothers. In the future, the man would be his own elder brother, and he would be the man’s own younger brother. He would sincerely offer his blessings when the man married the girl he loved.
…
Strangely, the Eldest and the Second didn’t return to the dormitory all day. After Zhao Yuheng finished the takeout Jin Bao’er brought back, he lay down grandly on Jin Bao’er’s bed.
“Brother Heng, taking a nap?”
“Together.”
Zhao Yuheng patted the other side of the bed directly, his tone leaving no room for doubt.
Jin Bao’er: “…”
This single bed was already narrow; for two people to sleep… At this moment, two people were lying on one narrow bed!
Lying on their sides facing each other, their noses were almost touching, and they could smell the faint scent of shower gel on each other. Zhao Yuheng suddenly spoke: “Have you ever shared a bed with someone else before?”
Jin Bao’er was stunned: “No.”
Zhao Yuheng gave an “oh” and didn’t speak again, but he quietly nudged closer to his side until their shoulders touched. Jin Bao’er held his breath, feeling the other’s leg also casually drape over. The warm sensation transmitted through his thin shorts; he didn’t dare move, his body as stiff as a stone.
Just as he was about to fall asleep, Zhao Yuheng mumbled dizzily, “Don’t nudge toward the edge; I won’t care if you fall off.” After saying that, a thick arm reached over and pulled him closer into his embrace, loosely circling his waist. Warm breath fell softly on the back of his neck.
Jin Bao’er was almost entirely embedded in the other’s embrace. It was very hot, but luckily there was a fan. At the same time, he felt an extraordinary sense of security, as if wrapped in a warm fortress, making it easier for him to fall asleep.
Outside, a continuous fine rain began to fall, bringing a hint of coolness to this sweltering season.
Zhao Yuheng woke up first. He realized he was actually circling Jin Bao’er in his arms, while Jin Bao’er was lying on his side, facing him. His long eyelashes rested quietly; his sleeping appearance was like a well-behaved kitten. Zhao Yuheng suddenly had an idea; he fumbled for his phone from the bedside and took a photo of Jin Bao’er’s sleeping face.
To his surprise, Jin Bao’er woke up at that moment, opening his dazed eyes to look at Zhao Yuheng’s phone. Seeing that Zhao Yuheng was photographing him, he didn’t dodge or hide. He just stared straight back, his gaze clear and innocent.
Zhao Yuheng quickly put away the photo, his earlobes slightly red, and said stubbornly: “Taking an ugly photo to keep from threatening you later.”
After saying that, he got up, moved over Jin Bao’er, and jumped off the bed.
“It’s so hot I’ve started sweating again, it’s sticky as death. Let’s take a shower together in a bit.”
Zhao Yuheng casually threw on a pair of pants and a T-shirt, then went to grab a change of clothes. Seeing that Jin Bao’er still hadn’t moved and was just staring at him blankly, he arched an eyebrow: “What? You’re not even willing to accompany me for a shower?”
Jin Bao’er: “…”
It wasn’t that he was unwilling; he was afraid he would commit a crime!
Just like that, half-pushed and half-pulled, Jin Bao’er was led by Zhao Yuheng toward the large public bathhouse. The air was filled with the fresh scent left by the rain. Wearing slippers, they walked through the campus with a “patter-patter” sound.
“Did your legs turn to iron? Walking so slowly!”
Seeing Jin Bao’er lagging behind slowly, Zhao Yuheng directly took a few steps back, threw an arm around his shoulder, and pushed him forward.
Jin Bao’er’s heart was in a total panic. Seeing the bathhouse getting closer and closer, he became more and more nervous. But beneath that nervousness, there was also a faint, secret trace of anticipation. He remembered the glimpse he caught while peeing last time; he thought of Zhao Yuheng’s…
Thinking of this, Jin Bao’er’s face instantly became hot enough to fry an egg. He swallowed a mouthful of saliva, his gaze subconsciously darting toward Zhao Yuheng’s lower body for a split second before quickly withdrawing it.
Heavens, he was about to see Brother Heng’s “Grand Weapon” in a moment; this was simply enough to scare someone to death… and also enough to tempt someone to death.
