He Played Emotional Games With His Arch-Enemy - Chapter 5
Shi Yu had taken off his suit jacket and trousers. Only a loose fitting shirt remained on his upper body, with the hem barely covering the base of his thighs. His two straight, slender legs were exposed; his skin looked translucent, delicate, and dazzlingly white.
He was leaning over the table edge by the window, his waist slightly sunken, revealing a portion of his rounded, jade like backside. The beautiful curves carried an air of unintentional temptation.
Duan Jinghuai’s throat suddenly went dry. In an instant, all the blood rushed to his head, pinning him to the spot.
He watched as Shi Yu placed one knee on the table, using it as leverage to lean forward. He reached out to open the window, preparing to lean his upper body out.
Duan Jinghuai’s heart stopped in fright.
He did not even know how he managed to lunge forward in a single stride, anxiously grabbing the man around the waist and pulling him down from the windowsill into his arms.
His voice was hoarse, trembling with a mix of fury and fear. “Shi Yu, are you crazy?”
From such a high floor, was this how he acted when he was drunk?
Shi Yu was restless in his arms, his smooth legs kicking out randomly. “I am hot, it feels so bad.”
Damn it.
How was the alcohol this strong? He still had not sobered up.
Duan Jinghuai, feeling heated from the kicks, stepped forward and placed the man on the sofa. He picked up the discarded suit jacket and threw it over Shi Yu’s lap, covering most of that heart stirring area.
Shi Yu was still uncomfortable. Lying on his back, he let out a few cat like whimpers.
Duan Jinghuai, still feeling the aftershocks of fear, looked down at him and asked coldly, “What if you had fallen?”
Shi Yu blinked innocently. After staring at him for a long while, he murmured slowly, “There is a safety net.”
Duan Jinghuai froze and turned around to look out. Sure enough, there was a black safety net outside the window.
Because he had been so worried just now, his heart had nearly exploded before he could notice the details.
Duan Jinghuai cleared his throat, trying to save face. “The safety net might not be sturdy.”
Shi Yu looked obedient. “Oh.”
As he spoke, he suddenly raised a leg unsteadily. His sole first kicked Duan Jinghuai’s hip bone, then rubbed against it until his foot was planted right beside the man’s hip.
The suit jacket covering him slid off onto the floor with the movement.
Shi Yu’s ankles were thin and refined, slender and bony. His foot pressed against the man’s body like a cat treading on cotton, lighting a fire in a disorganized yet reckless manner.
An indescribable sensation surged through him. The veins on Duan Jinghuai’s neck bulged as he reached the limit of his patience. He grabbed the mischievous ankle, practically speaking through gritted teeth. “Shi Yu, do not provoke me.”
The person being scolded looked at him blankly, still maintaining that expression of not knowing what he had done wrong. He looked somewhat aggrieved, carefully lifting his eyes and mumbling, “It is so hot, you are blocking my breeze.”
It was the breeze from the window he had worked so hard to open.
Duan Jinghuai let out a slow breath.
His ankle was wrapped in burning heat. Shi Yu’s brow furrowed tightly; he tried to pull his leg back twice, but the man’s grip was too strong. Having no other choice, he gave a sudden, sharp pull.
Duan Jinghuai was forced to let go, but the sudden shift caused him to lose balance and fall forward. At the critical moment, he reacted quickly, bracing his palm against the floor while his other arm supported him beside Shi Yu’s ear.
The air became thin and ambiguous.
His throat moved uncontrollably, his breath coming in heavy gasps.
Shi Yu was pinned beneath him on the sofa. His soft body was even hotter than it had been in the car, his cheeks a burning crimson, and his breath carried a scorching heat.
In the hazy light, those clear, shimmering eyes grew even more brilliant. The reddened corners of his eyes were like enticing hooks, tearing Duan Jinghuai’s reason to shreds.
“Duan Jinghuai,” Shi Yu said, staring at him without blinking. His right ankle brushed against the fabric of Duan Jinghuai’s suit trousers, moving upward to rest on the small of his back. He whispered, “The wine tastes good. Do you want to try some?”
Long held restraint collapsed in an instant.
Duan Jinghuai leaned down and captured his lips. He kissed fiercely, devouring the prey he had been watching all night. He rubbed and ground against him repeatedly, dominantly forcing his way past his teeth to tangle with his tongue.
Shi Yu struggled to breathe under the intensity of the kiss, letting out small, broken whimpers like a small animal. His waist was so soft it had no strength, leaving him with no choice but to wrap his arms around Duan Jinghuai’s neck, responding in a shaky, unrefined way.
The night grew thick as a cool breeze drifted into the room from the window.
On the sofa, in the bathroom, in the bedroom, continuous waves surged and crashed, the air filled everywhere with lingering traces of their night.
It was a night of total absurdity and abandon.
The room was dimly lit. Shi Yu stared blankly at the familiar ceiling in a daze. Although his body had been cleaned and felt refreshed, certain areas were still achingly sore, serving as a constant reminder of last night’s madness.
After Duan Jinghuai finished showering earlier, he had gone to the living room to cook. Shi Yu had intended to pretend to be asleep, but he was simply too exhausted; he ended up drifting off again in a daze. By the time he woke up, the living room was silent.
A fresh pair of pajamas and his phone were on the nightstand. He reached for his phone and saw a message sent by the man half an hour ago.
Duan Jinghuai: “There is an emergency at the company. Food is on the table. If you wake up too late, heat it up again.”
Shi Yu thought, You slept with me and then just ran away? Duan Jinghuai, is this how you have been playing all these years?
Thinking back to his own dangerous pronouncements while drunk last night, Shi Yu wished he could travel back in time and strangle himself.
A lifetime is very long; I just have to endure it, and it will pass.
His fingers felt weak from exhaustion. Shi Yu let out a long sigh, propped himself up from the bed while holding his nearly hollowed out waist, and pulled on his pajamas before heading to the bathroom.
The vanity had a toothbrush with toothpaste already squeezed onto it, and the cup was filled with water.
Shi Yu stared at the cup blankly for a long time. Eventually, he slowly rubbed his hair and walked to the mirror. He rinsed his mouth first, then stuck the toothbrush in his mouth and looked up at the mirror.
In a vast conference room, Duan Jinghuai sat in a leather swivel chair, his brow slightly furrowed and his fingers propping up his temple, looking completely distracted.
The subordinate on stage was giving a report with trembling nerves. Seeing his cold expression from beginning to end, the subordinate could not help but feel a bit of a shiver in his heart.
Suddenly, a crisp ding dong rang out in the room. Duan Jinghuai sat up straight abruptly. The subordinate was so startled that cold sweat broke out, and the remote for the PPT slid out of his hand and hit the floor.
Duan Jinghuai looked at him. “?”
The subordinate stammered, “S sorry.”
Ignoring him, Duan Jinghuai quickly swiped his phone open. As expected, a message from Shi Yu popped up.
Shi Yu: “Duan Jinghuai, are you a damn dog? My neck is covered in marks. How am I supposed to go to work?”
The one being provoked, the one with his fur standing on end, was no longer the cold, emotionless Shi Yu.
The corners of Duan Jinghuai’s mouth curled slightly, and he let out a low laugh, ignoring everyone around him.
The subordinate who had just picked up the remote thought, What? Can I even continue this report?
Duan Jinghuai: “Do you like them?”
Shi Yu: “You are insane!”
Shi Yu slammed his phone down on the vanity and angrily grabbed his toothbrush. He looked at the mirror in front of him; his reflection looked furious, his lips were a bright red from being bitten, and his collarbone was covered in ambiguous red marks, all blatant evidence of last night’s absurdity.
Just then, his phone pinged with another notification.
Shi Yu calmed his breathing and picked up the phone. Duan Jinghuai had sent a video, over four minutes long, with a blurry thumbnail. He frowned, a strange sense of foreboding clouding his heart.
Sure enough, after clicking the video, some ambiguous, indescribable sounds drifted out, mixed with Shi Yu’s own raspy voice.
With a bang, it felt like a bomb had exploded in Shi Yu’s brain. His face instantly turned beet red.
He actually recorded it?! This is too malicious!
Shi Yu was so angry his head was practically smoking. His thumbs stabbed at the keyboard, typing a long string of “Duan Jinghuai, you bastard,” “Duan Jinghuai, you scoundrel,” and “Duan Jinghuai, you are sick,” using every insult he could think of.
After typing it all, he let out a long, heavy breath. Ultimately, he selected all the text in the edit box and hit delete. Then, his slender finger tapped on Duan Jinghuai’s profile. Without a trace of mercy, he tapped the top right corner, Report, then selected Publishing inappropriate content to harass me and Pornography.
After the report was successful, he took a screenshot and sent it to Duan Jinghuai.
Shi Yu: “You are finished.”

Shi Yu: “Just wait for the cyber police to come and arrest you.”
