- Hated Villainess? Five Beast-Husbands Compete for My Love
- Chapter 1 - Five Untamed Beast Husbands
“Tang Hongluan, are you trying to get yourself killed?” A chilling voice, sharp as an ice blade, cut through the air.
Dazed, Tang Hongluan opened her eyes to find water flooding her nostrils. Instinctively, she flailed before lifting her head, only to be met with an impossibly beautiful face.
Silver eyes, snow-white hair, and a jawline so sharp it could cut glass. His gaze burned with disgust and fury.
She froze, then let her eyes drift downward: golden skin, taut muscles, a sculpted torso, and that enticing V-line.
“Pervert!” The sight that followed was definitely not suitable for children, or even young maidens. Tang Hongluan’s face flushed crimson. She hastily covered her eyes, but not before leaving a tiny gap between her fingers.
“Didn’t I warn you that if you did this again, I wouldn’t let you off?” Xiao Shuo’s lips twitched. This shameless woman had schemed to see him naked, and now she had the audacity to call him a pervert?
He seized Tang Hongluan by the throat and hauled her out of the pool, his expression dark enough to drip ink. Hot breath laced with fury brushed against her ear as he growled, “Who’s the pervert here?”
Not just an exhibitionist, but a violent brute too!
Tang Hongluan had no idea what was happening, but one thing was clear, this man was dangerous.
She stayed silent, struggling instinctively, her legs kicking wildly. In desperation, she aimed a sharp kick at his most vulnerable spot.
The man’s fury erupted. His icy eyes blazed like wildfire. “Tang Hongluan, today, you die!”
This wretched woman, none of her beast husbands wanted her, so she spent her days sneaking peeks at them. And now, after getting what she wanted, she had the nerve to play innocent?
Disgusting!
“Are you insane? Fine, you’re an exhibitionist, but threatening to kill someone over it? Who do you think you are?” Tang Hongluan dropped all pretense of modesty, glaring at the man as she deliberately raked her gaze over him. So, what if he was good-looking? She’d still curse him out!
But even as she cursed, she didn’t stop herself from shielding her body protectively. Survival came first… who wanted to die for no reason?
“You mean to tell me you didn’t know this was my bathing spot?” Xiao Shuo’s hands shifted into razor-sharp beast claws, the tips lightly grazing Tang Hongluan’s perpetually flaky face, his expression dripping with disdain.
A certain part of him throbbed painfully. He really wanted to kill her.
His bathing spot? Tang Hongluan blinked, a flicker of guilt crossing her mind. She forced a grin and stubbornly retorted, “How was I supposed to know this was your spot?”
Was she playing dumb now? And smiling? Xiao Shuo was seething, yet she had the nerve to smile?
The entire tribe knew this was his territory, his private bathing pool! And this shameless woman dared to act clueless?
Besides, when had she ever smiled like this before?
His killing intent waned slightly. With a dark expression, he flung Tang Hongluan several meters away. “If there’s a next time, I’ll tear you apart!”
Regardless, having narrowly escaped death at the hands of a psycho, Tang Hongluan scrambled to her feet and bolted as far as she could.
Only when she reached a small stream did she finally stop, her heart pounding. She had almost been killed by a claw-wielding maniac!
She looked down at her clothes, then recalled the stunningly handsome man who could transform his hands into beast claws. A realization dawned, she had transmigrated. Into a beast world.
Then, a sharp pain shot through her head as memories flooded her mind.
The original owner of this body had wandered into this tribe several years ago. Due to a deformity in her right hand and mysterious flakes of skin constantly falling from her face, she was despised everywhere. However, because females were scarce in the Beast World, the tribal chief allowed her to stay.
Since there were five savage and solitary beastmen in the tribe whom no female was willing to take as mates, the chief assigned them to this outsider.
But who could have predicted that years later, these five beastmen would not only grow increasingly handsome but also that two of them would awaken divine beast bloodlines, becoming top-tier in strength, while the remaining three would suddenly surge in power, far surpassing everyone else in the tribe? This made the other females in the tribe green with envy, each eager to steal them away.
And that perverted man from earlier was one of her beastmen, named Xiao Shuo, a white tiger beastman who had awakened his divine bloodline and was now at the fifth tier of supernatural power.
Extremely destructive. No wonder he kept threatening to kill her. Given Xiao Shuo’s temperament, he really might do it…
She shuddered, still shaken.
Though these beastmen were powerful and handsome, each was wild and untamed, some bloodthirsty, others sickly weak yet cold, and some outright schizophrenic. In short, they were all insane. Yet the original owner had constantly provoked them…
If this continued, she probably wouldn’t survive for long…
Tang Hongluan pressed her fingers to her temples. She had just died as cannon fodder in a great battle in the apocalypse, was she really going to transmigrate here just to die again?
No way. She had to quickly distance herself from these deranged beastmen and protect her life.
This time, she had gotten lucky, like a blind cat stumbling upon a dead mouse.
But she couldn’t help but feel guilty about that kick she had delivered earlier… Though, considering how sturdy he was, it probably hadn’t done much harm.
Now, deep into the night, Tang Hongluan stood by a small stream. The Beast World had no light pollution or noise, only distant, bright stars above and the clear sounds of insects and wild beasts in the forest.
The air was exceptionally fresh. She took a deep breath, feeling completely refreshed.
But then…
Gurgle!
Instinctively clutching her stomach, Tang Hongluan realized that the earlier fright had triggered an urgent need.
She glanced around and spotted a large tree not far away, a natural barrier. Since this was the Beast World, surely it wouldn’t be too inappropriate to relieve herself here?
Without another thought, she hurried behind the tree, hiding from the bright moonlight in the shadows.
Completely unaware that, concealed within the dense foliage above, a pair of sharp eyes was watching her coldly.
After finishing, she sighed in satisfaction, then guiltily scanned her surroundings. Seeing no one, she relaxed.
Her back itched, a chronic issue of the original owner. Unable to reach it properly, she simply rubbed against the tree trunk.
A wild boar, drawn by the scent, charged toward the oblivious Tang Hongluan.
Caught off guard, she panicked, shrieking and stumbling around the tree in a chaotic dance with the boar.
Up in the tree, the hidden eyes curved slightly, lips quirking in amusement.
But then, the smile vanished.
Because Tang Hongluan had started climbing the tree.
As the wild boar was about to reach her, his brow furrowed slightly, his sharp golden eyes gleaming with a cold light.
Like a bolt of lightning, he tore the frenzied boar beneath the tree into a bloody mess in an instant.
If it weren’t for his disdain at the sight of that woman climbing his tree, he wouldn’t have bothered with the boar at all, he might even have watched as it mauled Tang Hongluan to death.
Standing beneath the tree, the moonlight cast over his stern profile, silver light tracing the sharp contours of his face. He lifted his gaze to Tang Hongluan, who was halfway up the tree, his expression disdainful, his voice icy and cutting. “If you keep flaunting yourself in my territory again, I’ll kill you.”
Tang Hongluan froze. Under the moonlight, she could see him clearly, his features were deep and chiseled, his tall and imposing figure like something carved from ice, cold and aloof, exuding an untouchable aura of frigid restraint.
His eyes were filled with nothing but contempt.
For a moment, she was almost overwhelmed by his presence, the sheer pressure making her swallow back the urge to retort.
When had she been flaunting herself?
Clutching the tree, Tang Hongluan pursed her lips. Clearly, this was her second beast-husband, Bi Ze, of the eagle lineage. Like her, he was a beastman who had been stranded here years ago, solitary by nature and with a penchant for slaughter.
