Good Night, Brother! - Chapter 6.5
Tears welled in Yi Hyeon’s eyes, slipping free as he poured his feelings into his movements. His pheromones flooded the space like a torrential rain, saturating Eunhyun in their intensity. Without thinking, Yi Hyeon’s sharp canines grazed the mark he had made on Eunhyun’s nape, deepening the bond between them.
Driven purely by instinct, Yi Hyeon thrust harder, deeper, as though trying to merge their very beings. The heat of his release filled Eunhyun, spilling so much that it leaked from their joined bodies. It was as if their union was predestined, their bodies fitting together like two perfect halves of a whole.
Eunhyun was utterly overwhelmed, his mind clouded by the waves of pleasure and the intoxicating flood of Yi Hyeon’s pheromones. The sensation of Yi Hyeon’s body trembling against him, paired with the overwhelming fullness inside, drove Eunhyun to his own climax. He released with a shudder, his body convulsing as he cried out incoherently.
“Ah! it’s so good Yi Hyeon, I… I love you.”
The words spilled from him unbidden, as if his soul had been waiting for this moment to speak the truth. And then, spent and trembling, Eunhyun went limp in Yi Hyeon’s arms.
Only then did Yi Hyeon pull away, cradling Eunhyun’s boneless form against him. He carried him to the bedroom, leaving a faint trail of droplets on the floor. As he laid Eunhyun down gently on the bed, his arms instinctively tightened around him, reluctant to let go.
Even in his sleep, Eunhyun let out a soft hum, his lips parting slightly. Yi Hyeon climbed in beside him, brushing a kiss against his cheek and forehead. His fingers delicately swept Eunhyun’s disheveled hair out of his eyes as he watched him quietly.
Now, Eunhyun is completely mine. Body and heart.
The thought filled Yi Hyeon with a turbulent mix of joy and yearning so intense it almost hurt. The emotions threatened to spill over, swelling within him like an unstoppable tide.
“I love you, Yi Hyeon.”
Those words from Eunhyun earlier replayed in Yi Hyeon’s mind. For years, he had imagined hearing them, but the reality was far beyond any fantasy. It wasn’t just happiness—it was an indescribable feeling, bittersweet and overwhelming. Like eating too much chocolate all at once, the sweetness was almost too much to bear.
The Next Morning
Eunhyun didn’t wake until nearly noon. His body stirred first, but his eyelids felt impossibly heavy. He groaned softly, his throat dry and scratchy.
“Ugh, why does my neck hurt so much?”
Fragments of memories from the night before flickered through his mind like disjointed film stills. One particular moment made his eyes snap open.
“I love you, Yi Hyeon.”
His heart sank. Oh no. I actually said that. What the hell, Jeong Eunhyun?
“Hyung, you’re awake?”
Eunhyun turned his head to see Yi Hyeon lying beside him, propped up on one elbow and watching him with a bright smile.
“Did you sleep well?”
“No, not at all.”
“You seemed like you slept pretty well,” Yi Hyeon teased, gently brushing a stray lock of hair away from Eunhyun’s face.
The light spring blanket draped over Eunhyun felt unusually soft and clean. He hadn’t even realized that Yi Hyeon must have washed him and changed the sheets while he slept. The thought made him feel strangely cared for, though he was too embarrassed to admit it.
As Yi Hyeon’s fingers lightly grazed his scalp in soothing strokes, Eunhyun found himself reluctantly relaxing under the touch.
“Hyung, didn’t you miss me at all while I was gone?” Yi Hyeon asked, his voice playful yet tender.
“No. Not at all.”
Yi Hyeon chuckled, clearly seeing through the lie. “Really? That hurts. I’m so disappointed.”
Yi Hyeon withdrew the hand that had been gently stroking Eunhyun’s hair and wrapped him tightly in his arms. Eunhyun knew he should push him away, but it was so hard to resist the warmth of his brother’s embrace. Being held like this felt so comforting, so right, that he wished they could stay like this forever.
“I missed you so much, Hyung.”
Yi Hyeon’s voice, heavy with the weight of his longing, vibrated softly against Eunhyun’s ear and the chest where Eunhyun rested his head.
“I didn’t miss you at all,” Eunhyun replied, his tone deliberately flat.
“That’s so unfair. You’re hurting my feelings,” Yi Hyeon said, pouting.
He punctuated the statement with a gentle kiss on the top of Eunhyun’s head, his strong arms tightening around him. The soft knit of Yi Hyeon’s sweater and the warmth of his body lulled Eunhyun into a sense of peace, and his eyelids grew heavy.
When Eunhyun opened his eyes again, Yi Hyeon was gone.
Rising sluggishly, he poured himself a glass of water and sat at the kitchen table, staring blankly at the surface. His mind was hazy, overwhelmed to the point that it felt like no thoughts could settle. He sat there, lost in the quiet, gazing out the window at the view beyond.
The silence broke with the sound of the door lock beeping, followed by the soft click of the door opening. Yi Hyeon stepped in, dressed in his outdoor clothes, carrying a small shopping bag.
“Where’d you go?” Eunhyun asked.
“Just to the department store for a bit.”
“The department store? Why?”
Instead of answering, Yi Hyeon raised the burgundy shopping bag with its elegant gold logo, clearly pleased with himself.
“What’s that?”
