Good Night, Brother! - Chapter 14.1
“…And the angel returned to Matthias’s home. Matthias happily welcomed the angel. With a gloomy face, the angel said, ‘Matthias, I’m sorry. I couldn’t find my wings after all.’ But Matthias smiled and said, ‘Look at your back. You’ve got some amazing wings!’ ‘What?’ Just as Matthias said, a pair of radiant white wings were shimmering on the angel’s back in the mirror.”
Yi Hyeon closed the storybook, Find My Wings, a childhood favorite of Eun Hyun’s. He had lost count of how many times he had read it by now.
“Eun is going to learn the words Matthias and angel before saying Dad. Why do you love this book so much?”
Eun Hyun, lying on his side and looking up at Yi Hyeon, rolled his eyes as he thought about his reasons.
“Well… I guess it’s because the story teaches a valuable lesson about growing through experiences and meeting people. And the part where Matthias is the first to tell the angel about the wings feels so touching. It’s moving, don’t you think?”
Hearing this, Yi Hyeon placed the book on the bedside table and smiled gently.
“You really do like this book, huh? That’s the first time I’ve heard you talk about something at length.”
“Yeah. I hope Eun will grow to like it too. If I keep reading it to him like this, don’t you think he will?”
“Isn’t that more like brainwashing?”
Chuckling, Yi Hyeon, who had been leaning against the headboard, lifted the blanket and slipped inside. The warmth from Eun Hyun had already made the bed cozy. Lying beside him, Yi Hyeon noticed how much Eun Hyun’s belly had grown—it was now as big as a small mountain, tilted to one side. Gently smiling, Yi Hyeon placed his hand on the swollen belly and began to rub it softly.
The baby was overdue, and Eun Hyun’s belly had grown so large that even his once-indented belly button was now stretched and prominent.
As Yi Hyeon reached to turn off the bedside lamp, Eun Hyun spoke in a low voice.
“Yi Hyeon, don’t turn off the light.”
“Huh?”
Yi Hyeon froze mid-motion, turning to look at Eun Hyun. His face was unusually serious.
“…I need to tell you something.”
“Tell me something?”
“Yeah, it’s about…”
Why is he dragging it out like this? Yi Hyeon tensed slightly, sensing the weight of whatever Eun Hyun was about to say.
“It’s about Eun. His due date was two days ago, but there’s still no sign of him.”
“Yeah.”
“And there’s no labor pain, no show… nothing.”
“Yeah.”
“The doctor said if there’s still no progress in a week, they’ll induce labor.”
“They did.”
What’s he trying to get at? Yi Hyeon’s brow furrowed slightly.
“But… there’s something called the ‘dad injection.’”
Eun Hyun’s gaze dropped, and he pulled the blanket up to his chin as if trying to hide his embarrassment. Watching him squirm like this was too cute for words.
Yi Hyeon barely held back a laugh. He knew perfectly well what “dad injection” meant—it was a suggestive euphemism he had heard before. Still, he wanted to hear Eun Hyun explain it, so he feigned ignorance.
“What’s that?”
Eun Hyun’s face turned as red as it possibly could as he muttered, “It’s… when the baby’s overdue, having… you know… sex might help…”
“Really?”
Feigning wide-eyed surprise, Yi Hyeon’s heart raced with excitement. The fact that such words came out of Eun Hyun’s mouth was thrilling. Slowly, Yi Hyeon pulled the blanket down, revealing more of his flustered partner.
“Then, I guess we have no choice but to do it if we want Eun to come out. Right, hyung?”
“…Yeah.”
In the late stages of pregnancy, they had avoided intimacy to prevent any risk of preterm labor. Yi Hyeon’s heart pounded, but he tried to keep his excitement in check as he began unbuttoning the thick flannel pajamas Eun Hyun wore.
Though Eun Hyun averted his eyes, pretending to remain indifferent, the way his chest tingled with every graze of Yi Hyeon’s fingers betrayed his anticipation. Once undressed, Eun Hyun instinctively placed his hands on his round belly as if protecting it.
Settling himself between Eun Hyun’s legs, Yi Hyeon admired the sight before him. Eun Hyun’s body had changed significantly—the soft curves of his chest, preparing to nurse their baby, and the large, taut belly below created a sensual allure that Yi Hyeon couldn’t resist. His hands began kneading the firm yet supple flesh of Eun Hyun’s chest.
“Mm…”
Yi Hyeon’s fingers teased the darkened and slightly swollen nipples, now the size of small berries. As he circled and pinched the sensitive buds, he reveled in their softness. Suddenly, his fingertips felt something damp. Without hesitation, Yi Hyeon licked it off, only to taste the faint sweetness of milk—it was colostrum.
“…”
“Why… what’s wrong?”
Eun Hyun, unaware that his first milk had just come out, found Yi Hyeon’s sudden pause curious and asked, “What’s wrong?”
“Hyung, milk’s coming out,” Yi Hyeon murmured, his voice low as if trying to suppress his excitement. He exhaled a deep breath and firmly grabbed one of Eun Hyun’s breasts, leaning in closer. He enveloped the nipple and areola entirely in his mouth, his cheeks hollowing as he began to suck hard.
The more he sucked, the more milk trickled into his mouth. Frustrated by the slow flow, Yi Hyeon sucked harder, like an impatient baby, licking and biting gently on the nipple to stimulate the flow further.
“Ah! That hurts—don’t suck so hard…! Ah, ugh!”
It was a strange mixture of pain and pleasure. The sensation of relief from milk being expressed for the first time, combined with the taboo thrill of having his younger brother suckle, sent a jolt of intense pleasure through Eun Hyun’s body.
Yi Hyeon pressed and kneaded the soft flesh and areola aggressively, desperate for more milk. Streams of milk squirted from the nipple, coating his mouth with its sweet, creamy flavor. Contrary to what he had heard about milk being bitter, Eun Hyun’s was smooth and sweet, like sugar dissolved in milk.
Raising his head, Yi Hyeon looked at him with a dazed expression and said, “Hyung… should we just give Eun formula?”
“What are you talking about?”
“Let’s save the breast milk for me instead.”
