Give Her a Chance to Flirt! - Chapter 13
Chapter 13
With her neck arched back, Lin Jiu’s gaze fell upon the open window in the upper stairwell.
Light poured through the opening like water, making the lush, dark green camphor leaves appear to melt in the glow. The summer greenery intertwined with the white light, creating a hazy and romantic scene.
Elongated cicada cries seemed to ring in her ears, stretching all of Lin Jiu’s senses into a continuous, unending line.
Yu Yihan’s elegant and curvaceous figure was clearly discernible.
The tip of a nose brushed against her skin, sometimes light, sometimes heavy.
The fuzzy sensation of long hair rubbing against her earlobe.
The hands gripping her shoulders.
Something was scraping the skin just above her collarbone—cold and sharp, like one of the few elements of danger amidst a brief moment of warmth.
Lin Jiu guessed it was Yu Yihan’s earring.
It rested between her collarbones, and before long, it would be warmed by her body temperature.
“This? THIS?!”
The system’s tone sounded like it was on the verge of a breakdown. If it had a human form, Lin Jiu felt it would be tearing its hair out right now.
“Why is Yu Yihan hugging you? Everything is a mess—”
Quickly, the system realized the host was far too quiet.
“Host? Do you have any thoughts? What are you thinking?”
Lin Jiu gave a delayed response in her mind:
“…Hm?”
“I’m enjoying myself.”
“???”
Lin Jiu let out a sigh of utter satisfaction in her mind, speaking from the bottom of her heart:
“Being hugged and ‘inhaled’ by a beautiful sister in a stairwell… it’s so stimulating.”
[You? The mission is in shambles and you’re still—And while Yu Yihan is enduring torture, you’re off enjoying yourself? Do you even have a heart?]
Facing the system’s interrogation, Lin Jiu quietly adjusted her posture to make it easier for Yu Yihan to “inhale” her, pointing out leisurely:
“Haven’t you noticed? Yu Yihan’s condition has improved.”
It was precisely because Lin Jiu had noticed this that she felt comfortable taking advantage of Yu Yihan—no, clearly, it was Yu Yihan taking advantage of her.
At the same moment Yu Yihan held her in her arms, Lin Jiu realized her abilities as a Green Tea Spirit had reached a breakthrough.
It was as if there were a baseline in her mind, and this breakthrough was like “a rising tide lifting all boats,” suddenly reaching a new height.
Previously, she could only vaguely discern the degree of the Halo’s influence on everyone. Now, with a simple glance, she could determine it with certainty.
And…
Before Lin Jiu could think further, Lin Momo’s voice drifted in again:
“Yu Yihan, are you really not here? Come out quickly, I’m looking for you.”
The last four words were enunciated with particular weight, sounding almost eerie and terrifying.
Accompanying her voice were her clear footsteps.
Tap, tap, tap. Getting closer and closer, finally stopping right behind Lin Jiu—separated only by a thin fire door.
Lin Jiu took a soft breath.
This was just too—
Thrilling.
It felt like being caught in the act of an affair.
However, Lin Jiu still had a sense of morality. Besides, hugging and cuddling here indefinitely was hardly proper; there were cameras nearby, which was quite embarrassing.
Filled with regret, she gently pushed Yu Yihan, who was draped over her. Mindful of Lin Momo’s presence, she didn’t speak, but her intent was clear.
Perhaps because she had been quite submissive earlier, Yu Yihan was actually pushed back slightly with ease when she wasn’t expecting it. It was so successful that Lin Jiu felt a twinge of disappointment.
Yu Yihan’s head lifted from her neck. In that fleeting moment of transition, a phrase came to Lin Jiu’s mind.
Whispering endearments.
Just as their noses were about to meet at a slant, and she was about to see the look in Yu Yihan’s eyes—
An irresistible force came from behind her waist, slamming her back into Yu Yihan’s embrace.
Softness and fullness pressed together; the push from Yu Yihan’s hand made them closer than before, fitting together without a single gap.
Yu Yihan buried her head again, this time switching to the other side of Lin Jiu’s neck. Her breath scouted around Lin Jiu’s throat like a falcon patrolling its territory, refusing to let an inch go.
The overflowing hot breath even drifted toward the sensitive back of Lin Jiu’s neck. She flinched, and the hand at her waist tightened its hold, like a loyal knight guarding against her escaping again.
As that breath lingered back toward the base of Lin Jiu’s ear, Yu Yihan’s voice, like a clear forest spring, flowed into her ear:
“I need you very much.”
At that same moment, the sound of a doorknob turning came from behind them—
Yu Yihan bit down on the side of Lin Jiu’s neck.
Lin Jiu gripped Yu Yihan’s arm suddenly, her head tilting back, her eyelashes trembling violently.
Like the lightest down of a bird shivering in a fierce wind.
The mechanical sound of the doorknob continued, quickly reaching its lowest point, as if the door would be pushed open the next second.
Lin Jiu even vaguely felt a push from behind her, but in her chaotic consciousness, she couldn’t judge if it was an illusion.
Her arms lacked strength, so she could only shake her head.
Even she didn’t know what she was trying to express by shaking her head.
Was it a plea for Yu Yihan to let go, or simply a fear of the wave of a spring night crashing down on her?
But the actions of a prey struggling for mercy only invited the hunter’s cautionary control and a threatening graze of lips and teeth.
A push came against the fire door. It didn’t open the first time, so the person behind it clearly increased their force the second time.
Lin Jiu’s pupils dilated. She felt herself being pushed into Yu Yihan’s arms by this force, making their already close forms even more entwined.
The fire door scraped a light mark on the floor, about to be flung wide open—
“Miss Lin, what are you doing here?”
Lin Momo reined in her distorted expression caused by excessive exertion. As she let go of the force, the fire door thudded back into place, closing tightly.
Her hand was still on the doorknob as she glanced sideways at Ruan Meng, who had followed her out, and said with a smile:
“I’m looking for Yu Yihan.”
Ruan Meng glanced at the fire door:
“How could Yihan possibly leave through here? You… also, what’s so urgent that you need to find her? I can pass a message.”
Lin Momo peered at the fire door.
She couldn’t explain it herself, but her intuition was usually quite accurate, and she had felt an urge to open it as she passed by.
Seeing the doubt and hesitation on Ruan Meng’s face, Lin Momo let go of the handle and said:
“True, I must have been mistaken.”
She directly ignored the subsequent question.
Up until now, Yu Yihan was the first woman she was interested in who had escaped her control.
She would definitely find out the reason. At the same time, she would definitely have Yu Yihan.
Lin Momo left with Ruan Meng, her hands behind her back, the Halo at her neck pulsing with light.
She was very patient. Since Yu Yihan wasn’t there, she could “get on good terms” with her friend first.
There was no rush.
On the other side of the door.
Lin Jiu heard their conversation clearly.
This feeling of being discovered at any moment.
She walked on the edge of the boundary on tiptoe; the entire world felt divided into two ends by a thin membrane. She and Yu Yihan were hidden away—
Catching fire together.
At an unknown time, after an unknown duration, it finally ended.
Yu Yihan lifted her head slightly, stepped back two paces, and looked up at Lin Jiu for a long while.
Lin Jiu wanted to move her fingers, but her overly soft fingertips only trembled slightly. She cursed herself in her mind, striving for composure as she spoke:
“What is it?”
Yu Yihan shook her head.
She looked down as if searching for something. Lin Jiu guessed she was looking for her bag.
Naturally, it wasn’t there; only the two of them were here.
“Do you want to go back and get it?”
Yu Yihan thought of something, and a cold anger flickered across her peaceful face. She shook her head again.
“I have my phone on me, you can call your assistant—”
Yu Yihan’s hand reached toward Lin Jiu’s neck, and Lin Jiu’s subsequent words came to a dead stop.
But this time, what came to her neck was a touch of extreme tenderness.
The movement was as light as a breeze kissing away all the dampness.
Yu Yihan used the cuff of her silk shirt to wipe Lin Jiu’s neck. Her gaze was focused and clear, vividly reflecting Lin Jiu’s image.
After cleaning her up, she used her fingers to reorganize Lin Jiu’s long hair, her porcelain-white fingers guiding the submissive strands back into place.
Once she settled the last strand, she paused and looked up at Lin Jiu, almost staring into her eyes as she spoke:
“I messed up your hair earlier. I’m sorry.”
The stairwell was extremely quiet.
Outside the window, birds chirped.
The system, which had been unwilling to face reality and just wanted to play dead, couldn’t take it anymore.
“Is Yu Yihan flirting with you? Does she have a problem? Why is she flirting with the villainous supporting female? I’m going crazy—Host, why are you quiet again? Are you falling for her again? I’m warning you, you can’t!”
Lin Jiu’s expression was stable.
“I’m not falling for her.”
“Really? Put it in writing!”
“I don’t have time to fall for her, my legs are like jelly.”
“?”
“I actually want her to mess me up even more. Ideally, get me dirty—so dirty that I have to take a shower—”
“…Shut your mouth!”
