- Chapter 26 - Just Your Brother
Private room.
“Let’s play ‘I Have Never’!” someone suggested.
The atmosphere grew lively as the group gathered to play.
Right from the start, the bottle spun and landed on Jiang Mo. He smiled wryly. “Looks like my luck’s run out.”
“I’ve never had a crush.”
Nearly everyone picked up their glasses and took a sip.
Someone laughed. “That’s our Movie Emperor Jiang for you.”
“I wonder what kind of woman could catch Movie Emperor Jiang’s eye.”
The bottle continued spinning, this time landing on the actress who replaced Tang Tang, Ye Lu. “I’ve never had a boyfriend.”
Li Muli silently picked up her glass and took another sip.
Soon, it was Li Muli’s turn. She thought for a moment and said, “I’ve never dated anyone in school.”
“Oh my, so President Fu is Muli’s first love” someone teased playfully.
“Even a passing dog would get kicked.”
The atmosphere remained lively as they played games, drank, and enjoyed themselves in the private room.
At some point, Fu Chenyan pushed the door open and entered, sitting beside Li Muli and wrapping his arm around her waist.
The room instantly fell silent, and those who had been making noise quieted down.
Fu Chenyan glanced around casually and said offhandedly, “Carry on.”
Then he buried his face in the crook of her neck, nuzzling gently. “Baby, I want a hug.”
Li Muli stroked his hair and hugged him back.
Seeing that the powerful man was completely absorbed in his lover and had no time for them, the others relaxed and resumed their noisy banter.
Fu Chenyan frowned slightly. He disliked noisy environments, but he wanted to adapt to the girl’s lifestyle.
Noticing his furrowed brow, Li Muli leaned close to his ear and said obediently, “Let’s go home.”
The man nodded, stood up, and took her hand, interlacing their fingers.
Once outside Yu Jing Yuan, Fu Chenyan tilted his head and hooked a finger under her chin. “How much did you drink today?”
Li Muli grabbed his large hand, brought it to her mouth, and bit it lightly before holding up her fingers. “Four glasses of fruit wine.”
“Mm, what flavor?”
Her eyes sparkled as she smiled at him. “Blueberry. It was super sweet and delicious.”
Fu Chenyan stopped walking and faced her.
He wrapped his arms around her petite frame, gripping her slender waist, and leaned down to whisper huskily in her ear, “Let me taste how sweet it is, okay?”
With that, he captured her lips, the sweetness of her mouth mingling with the scent of alcohol, nearly intoxicating him.
After a long while, he pulled back, his voice hoarse. “It really is sweet.”
He continued holding her tightly, reluctant to let go.
He was drinking poison to quench his thirst.
Li Muli slipped out of his embrace, stood on her tiptoes, and gently kissed the corner of his mouth. “Mr. Fu, let’s walk home today~”
“Okay.” His gaze remained tender and doting.
Li Muli placed her small hand in his large one. “Let’s go, my Mr. Fu~”
Fu Chenyan held her hand as they chatted idly, the atmosphere warm and romantic.
A romantic night with a gentle lover.
If only they weren’t interrupted.
“Sis, I’ve missed you so much. You wouldn’t see me.” A coquettish voice came from behind.
Li Muli turned to see the newcomer and immediately stood on her toes to cover the man’s eyes. The woman before them was barely dressed, revealing large patches of pale skin and slender legs fully exposed.
The man pulled the girl’s hand away and turned around to play with it.
Li Muli let out a light laugh, her tone sarcastic. “What, showing up half-dressed in the middle of the night—what are you trying to do?”
Li Muqing’s expression shifted as she deliberately tugged her clothes lower to accentuate her curves upon noticing the man beside Li Muli.
From afar, she had already spotted his impressive physique broad shoulders, a narrow waist holding a petite girl in his arms, kissing her without restraint.
Jealousy consumed her. Since childhood, Li Muli had always outshone her in everything.
Even when it came to men, the one before her eyes was far superior to any she had ever been with.
Li Muqing, on the verge of tears, adjusted her clothes and whimpered, “Sister, why do you have to say such things about me?”
It seemed as though tears were about to fall at any moment.
Li Muli let out a light scoff. “Tsk, did you come all the way here just to ask me to buy you a drink?”
“What do you mean, sister?” she asked, pretending not to understand, while her gaze repeatedly drifted toward Fu Chenyan’s retreating figure.
“Green tea, little sister,” Li Muli replied, her smile as captivating as ever.
“Wah, sister, how could you treat me like this?” Li Muqing finally seemed unable to bear the humiliation, crouching down and sobbing softly.
She was trying to evoke a protective instinct from the man.
Men always preferred the delicate, fragile type, not women who were too assertive.
Li Muli frowned. “That’s just how I am. If there’s nothing else, I’m leaving.”
With that, she turned to leave. Fu Chenyan gently stroked the girl’s hair and said, “Let’s go, baby.”
Li Muli nodded, but a voice called out from behind, “Sister, I’m so cold. Could you and this handsome guy give me a ride?”
Li Muli tilted her head and raised an eyebrow at Fu Chenyan. Oh, “handsome guy”?
Afraid the girl might misunderstand, Fu Chenyan quickly explained, “Baby, let’s hurry home. Some crazy woman is trying to latch onto us.”
Quite the survival instinct, Fu Chenyan.
A smile tugged at Li Muli’s lips as she turned back to advise, “Stop making a scene. I know you drove here.”
She paused before adding, “And if you’re here to make a move on my man, you’d better rein it in.”
Watching their retreating figures, Li Muqing’s eyes were filled not only with envy but also resentment.
If only she could have a man like that, how happy she would be.
Once they were farther away, Li Muli crouched down and pouted playfully. “Carry me on your back, gege.”
“What did you call me?” Fu Chenyan extended his hand to the girl.
The girl smiled sweetly, her eyes sparkling like stars. “Gege~”
Fu Chenyan chuckled softly and resignedly bent down. “Alright, come on, little ancestor.”
“Gege is the best~”
“Only your gege,” his deep, magnetic voice murmured by her ear.
Li Muli wrapped her arms around his neck and nuzzled her head against him gently. “I really, really like gege so much.”
Her Mr. Fu was the epitome of a virtuous man.
Even things she didn’t pay much mind to, he would worry might upset her.
Every day spent with Mr. Fu was overflowing with sweetness.
“Gege, did I do well just now?” she asked, sounding like a child seeking praise.
A soft laugh escaped Fu Chenyan’s throat. “Baby, you’re always amazing.”
“She’s such a ‘green tea’! She even tried to seduce you, what a bad woman,” Li Muli wrapped her legs around his waist.
“I belong to you, baby. I only like you.”
“How much do you like me?”
“I love my little Li Muli so, so much.”
“Then write me a reflection essay.”
The familiar dialogue reminded Li Muli that Fu Chenyan still owed her a reflection essay.
She pinched his back. “You still owe me one.”
“And baby still owes me a love letter.”
“Hmph, you cunning businessman,” Li Muli huffed, turning her head away.
Fu Chenyan smiled faintly. “I’ll write mine, and we can exchange.”
“No, I want you to read it to me,” she continued to act shamelessly.
“Then you read to me too, baby.”
“Okay.” She only had one love letter, while he had two book reports no matter how you looked at it, she wasn’t at a disadvantage.
The smile at the corner of Fu Chenyan’s lips grew deeper. How could he not understand the little thoughts of a girl?
He savored it willingly.
He loved her. So being able to indulge her was his greatest honor.
Besides, his little one was always finding ways to spoil him too.
