Full-Level Quick Transmigration Expert: The Scum Man Reform Manual - Chapter 4
The Substitute Omega is Soft and Delicate (4)
“Yes, what about you?” Shen Wenbai pulled at the corners of his mouth, his smile failing to reach his eyes. “Who is this beautiful Omega? I recall your partner does not look like this.”
“Is that any of your business?” the man scoffed. He pulled the beautiful Omega tighter into his arms and turned to leave.
Shen Wenbai stared at the man’s retreating back, deep in thought.
“Mr. Shen, do you know that gentleman?” Lin Xiyao asked, noticing the strange expression on Shen Wenbai’s face.
“I do. His name is Chen Haotian; he is half a rival of mine.” Shen Wenbai glanced at the photo Yuanxiao had taken on his phone and sneered. His mood was just average today, so he decided to post it on his social media feed.
As for whether others in their circle would tip off Chen Haotian’s partner, that was none of his concern.
Seeing that Lin Xiyao did not enjoy the French restaurant, Shen Wenbai decided to switch to a different place so Lin Xiyao could eat comfortably.
After they finished eating, the two went shopping. Whatever caught Lin Xiyao’s eye, Shen Wenbai bought; he had plenty of money, and spending a little did not matter.
Lin Xiyao felt no embarrassment at all. This was a “kept” arrangement, after all. If the sugar daddy did not pay, that would not be keeping him; that would be Lin Xiyao paying to be with him.
Night fell, and the stars shone brightly.
Shen Wenbai and Lin Xiyao walked side by side, with Shen Wenbai’s arm around Lin Xiyao. “You are tired from walking. Let us go home.”
“Mm.” Lin Xiyao leaned into Shen Wenbai’s embrace, inhaling his scent and closing his eyes to enjoy the warm, peaceful atmosphere. With the pheromones present, his body felt much better.
Back home, Lin Xiyao slept in the guest room, and Shen Wenbai slept in the master bedroom. Even though it was a “kept” arrangement, they each slept in their own rooms.
Yuanxiao used its super-climbing ability to scramble onto Shen Wenbai’s pillow. [Host, why are you not sleeping in the same bed as the poor little thing?]
Shen Wenbai: “…” What was that supposed to mean? Why would they sleep in the same bed? He was here to complete a mission, not to sell his body.
[Are you being platonic?] Yuanxiao said, drawing on the strange novels it had been reading, its little paws uncontrollably grooming its face.
“I have a clean, proper relationship with him. I am not selling myself, okay?” Shen Wenbai rolled his eyes. “Hurry back to your own nest.”
[Oh.] Yuanxiao pouted. [I am leaving.]
Yuanxiao crawled back to its nest, leaving Shen Wenbai lying in bed, deep in thought. Was he performing the mission wrong? Why did Yuanxiao have such a bizarre misconception?
He truly lacked experience; usually, as a villain, he would just finish off his opponents. This was his first time acting as the protagonist.
Although he and Lin Xiyao had a pleasant day, he did not have any ulterior motives toward him. He was an upright, kind-hearted “good young man!”
Shen Wenbai did not sleep particularly well, but Lin Xiyao slept like a log. He woke up early to watch some “educational” clips, learning techniques so he could please his benefactor, earn more money, and retire early to somewhere with a low cost of living.
After finishing his “studies,” Lin Xiyao got up, dressed, and washed up. He looked at the handsome, elegant Omega in the mirror and curled his lips in satisfaction. As expected, I am a handsome guy! I look great in anything, or nothing at all.
Lin Xiyao went downstairs, fully dressed, just as he happened to run into Shen Wenbai.
Shen Wenbai was wearing a grey shirt, a tie, and black trousers. His legs were long and straight, his features deep and handsome, and his demeanor was elegant and noble.
“Morning!” Lin Xiyao flashed a toothy grin.
Shen Wenbai reached out and touched Lin Xiyao’s forehead. “You do not have a fever. Why are you so enthusiastic today? I am afraid I am hallucinating.”
“You are not hallucinating; I am genuinely this happy.” Lin Xiyao grabbed Shen Wenbai’s hand and placed it on his own chest. “I like you, so I am happy to see you.”
“Your acting is not up to standard. Meeting adjourned!” Shen Wenbai bluntly poked holes in Lin Xiyao’s clumsy performance. “Let us go, time to eat.”
“Do not be like that, just let me properly feel your body temperature.” Lin Xiyao pulled Shen Wenbai down onto the sofa, wrapped his arms around Shen Wenbai’s neck, leaned against him, and acted coy. “Honey…”
Lin Xiyao’s voice was soft, slightly husky, and sounded exceptionally seductive.
If it were any other Alpha, they surely would not be able to resist, but unfortunately, the target was Shen Wenbai, and he was not an Alpha.
“The acting is just mediocre. Not seductive enough.”
Lin Xiyao released Shen Wenbai and sighed helplessly. “Looks like I need to practice harder.”
“You are overthinking it. I do not have that kind of desire for you.” Shen Wenbai did not understand what was going on in the little Omega’s head; why was he always trying to flirt with him? Did he have a face that just begged to be slept with?
“Oh…” Lin Xiyao widened his eyes in feigned surprise, then figured he understood; he was not the target of affection, just a shield.
Breakfast was sumptuous, and Lin Xiyao ended up stuffed.
As Shen Wenbai put down his chopsticks and prepared to head to the study to handle paperwork, Lin Xiyao called out to him.
“What is it?”
“I… my salary…”
“It will be deposited into your account at nine o’clock on the first of every month, sharp.”
After saying this, Shen Wenbai turned and left the dining room, leaving Lin Xiyao with a cool, decisive silhouette.
Lin Xiyao stood there, stunned for a long moment, before it finally hit him: he had truly struck it rich. This was wonderful!
Though it was only temporary—eventually, Shen Wenbai would tire of him or someone more attractive would come along, and he would be kicked out—at least for now, he had made it to the success stage. Making a quick buck is still making a buck; being a “gold digger” is not shameful.
Lin Xiyao was content. Blissfully, he took out his phone and bought himself a new outfit. Dress beautifully, live beautifully, plenty of money to go around!
The news that Shen Wenbai had someone by his side spread like wildfire throughout the circle.
Some were envious, some were jealous, and others saw it as an opportunity.
Madam Shen was the first to lose her cool. Shen Wenbai had someone, and she, as his mother, had no idea! That is how Alphas are; they never consider the feelings of their relatives.
She called the daughter-in-law she had picked out for him, and the two arrived aggressively at Shen Wenbai’s house.
They could not even get past the door.
“Apologies, without the BOSS’s permission, unauthorized persons are prohibited from entering.”
The burly bodyguard stood there, immovable. He did not care who they were; without permission, no one was getting in.
“I am Shen Wenbai’s mother!” Madam Shen pulled out her phone to show the bodyguard a photo of her and Shen Wenbai.
“I am new here; I do not know who you are. Besides, technology is so advanced these days, who knows if that is photoshopped?” The burly bodyguard was immune to their tactics; without Shen Wenbai’s word, they were not going in.
Madam Shen was so angry she laughed. She sneered and threatened, “Call Shen Wenbai. I want to speak to him directly.”
“Why do you not call him yourself? Based on what you said, you are the BOSS’s mother. Do you not have your own child’s phone number?” The bodyguard did not show the slightest fear, flatly refusing her with a rigid attitude.
Madam Shen’s expression shifted. She took a few deep breaths, trying to calm her inner rage. She really did not have Shen Wenbai’s number; she had pushed too hard about marriage a while ago, and Shen Wenbai had blocked her. He had even fired the nanny she had arranged.
Alphas have no hearts. Why did she not give birth to an Omega back then? Even a Beta would have been better! But then, she was also grateful she had given birth to an Alpha; otherwise, who knew who would be sitting in the seat of Madam Shen?
