From Trashy A to the Heiress’s Little Son-in-Law After the Idol Competition (GL, ABO) - Chapter 66
“Looking back, our group has faced quite a few storms since debut,” Cheng Xiaozhi sighed. “You’re the first group I’ve managed and probably the last. Managing a group versus managing an individual? I know which one is more exhausting.”
Shi Zhengyi laughed. “You always say managing us is like managing seven celebrities. Worrying over us like a mother or father every day, never getting a break. But whenever trouble arises, you’re the first to come up with solutions. We won’t forget your dedication.”
Xiao Yanjin gave a firm nod and raised her glass. “A toast to our manager!”
The group drank cheerfully as the barbecue dwindled.
Ji Yunuo finished her drink and noticed the unnatural flush on Xiao Yanjin’s face.
“Just one bottle of beer, and she’s already this red?”
He Rou, hearing her, turned to look.
Though Xiao Yanjin’s eyes were bright, it seemed like she was barely holding on, her face flushed as she stared blankly at nothing.
He Rou chuckled. “No, she’s had another bottle. I gave it to her since she was drinking so enthusiastically.”
Only then did Ji Yunuo notice the empty bottles under the table.
When Xiao Yanjin stood up to use the restroom, her vision blurred, and she nearly collapsed.
Ji Yunuo and He Rou immediately steadied her.
Seeing He Rou so concerned about Xiao Yanjin, Shi Zhengyi propped her head up dramatically. “I think I’m drunk too. What about me?”
Jiang Nan slung an arm around her. “Don’t worry, I’ve got you.”
Shi Zhengyi: “…”
Before they knew it, all three alphas were tipsy.
Shi Zhengyi and Jiang Nan even grabbed empty bottles as makeshift microphones, belting out off-key renditions of their debut song. Eventually, one switched to Good Luck Comes, while the other sang Hero’s Song, turning the restaurant into a makeshift nightclub.
Though their singing was painfully off-key, the others could only watch with resigned amusement.
He Rou was also a little drunk, but at least she was more coherent than the other two. She pointed at them, laughing, her eyes glazed.
Xiao Yanjin, meanwhile, remained red-faced, fixated on some random object, completely oblivious to the noise around her.
Shen Ya frowned. “Does Xiao Yanjin not handle alcohol well? She’s completely wasted.”
Ji Yunuo: “Seems like it.”
He Rou detected a hint of exasperation in Ji Yunuo’s tone and wanted to question it, but her mind was too foggy. Instead, she splashed cold water on her face.
Shen Ya sighed. “These troublemakers.”
“Let’s get them back,” Lan Yuanning said, snapping her fingers toward the dorm.
Ji Yunuo nodded. “I’ll take Xiao Yanjin.”
They hailed a cab. Lan Yuanning supported Jiang Nan, Shen Ya helped Shi Zhengyi, and He Rou, the only one tipsy but not completely gone staggered toward Ji Yunuo instead of the other omegas.
“Mind if I ride with you?” she asked with a grin.
Ji Yunuo didn’t refuse.
Once in the car, Xiao Yanjin grew restless.
“Jie-jie, my head hurts,” she mumbled, leaning against Ji Yunuo and patting her clumsily.
He Rou, sitting in the passenger seat, sobered slightly from the cold wind and blinked. “Since when does Xiao Yanjin talk like this?”
“Why can’t I?” Xiao Yanjin retorted, her words surprisingly coherent despite her drunkenness. “I’m Jie-jie’s precious darling.”
He Rou let out an understanding “Oh,” then turned with a mischievous grin. “So you two are together now?”
Ji Yunuo didn’t hide it, smiling as she nodded.
He Rou looked pleasantly surprised and exclaimed, “I knew there was something between you two! No wonder back when Xiao Yanjin made noodles for you, she deliberately gave you an extra fried egg. I asked her why she was being so partial, and she said you were too thin and needed the extra portion.”
Ji Yunuo found this both amusing and exasperating. Thinking back, she realized Xiao Yanjin had been dropping subtle hints all along, ostensibly telling others they were forming a CP to please fans, but in reality, it was all to woo her.
“Sister, hug me,” Xiao Yanjin said, stretching out her arms to encircle Ji Yunuo. To outsiders, it looked like Ji Yunuo was being pulled into an intimate, flirtatious embrace hardly the behavior of someone supposedly drunk.
“Maybe we should take her to a hotel. Jiang Nan doesn’t seem like she can take care of her,” He Rou said, suppressing a laugh but also feeling a bit disgusted. Such a clingy, annoying Alpha.
“Jiang Nan is actually quite good at taking care of people,” Ji Yunuo murmured softly.
“I mean, without you, Xiao Yanjin would probably throw a drunken tantrum.”
Ji Yunuo shook her head. They weren’t prepared for anything yet, and going to a hotel would only invite unwanted attention and gossip.
As it turned out, Xiao Yanjin was indeed throwing a drunken fit, just as He Rou had predicted.
By the time Ji Yunuo received Jiang Nan’s message, she had already finished showering.
Jiang Nan and Shi Zhengyi had sobered up a bit after drinking hangover soup and splashing cold water on their faces, but seeing Xiao Yanjin still completely wasted left them at a loss.
Nothing seemed to work on her, she remained utterly plastered.
When Ji Yunuo arrived at the Alpha’s place, Jiang Nan and Shi Zhengyi looked at her with innocent expressions.
Meanwhile, the still-drunk Xiao Yanjin lay sprawled on the couch, glaring at Shi Zhengyi and slurring, “Stupid Alpha, trying to steal my sister? Dream on!”
She then weakly hurled a pillow at Jiang Nan, probably mistaking her for Chu Luo.
Shi Zhengyi, aware of the dynamics between them, quickly hauled Jiang Nan out of the room.
Jiang Nan protested, “Why are we leaving? I want to sleep.”
“Let’s go see Shen Ya. She’s been in a bad mood lately because she hasn’t seen you.”
Once the door closed, Xiao Yanjin grinned up at Ji Yunuo. “Sister, you came! I chased Chu Luo away. You’re mine now.”
Ji Yunuo, familiar with the routine, went to the bathroom, soaked Xiao Yanjin’s towel in water, and gently wiped her face.
Her movements were tender, carrying a faint, soothing fragrance.
Xiao Yanjin let out a contented hum, thoroughly enjoying the attention.
“Alright, it’s late. Time for bed,” Ji Yunuo said softly.
Xiao Yanjin whimpered like a puppy, afraid of being left behind.
Her eyes were wide and pitiful, brimming with innocence.
“You’re mine, right?” she asked.
Ji Yunuo paused, meeting her gaze seriously. In those clear eyes, she could see her own reflection.
With a soft smile, she replied, “I’m yours.”
Xiao Yanjin beamed the brightest, most genuine smile she’d shown in days.
Then, suddenly, she pulled Ji Yunuo into a tight embrace, nuzzling against her like a kitten. “Sister, I love you so much.”
Warmth flooded Ji Yunuo’s heart as she stroked Xiao Yanjin’s hair. “I love you too.”
Xiao Yanjin shifted slightly, using her weight to press Ji Yunuo down onto the couch.
Ji Yunuo gently pushed her away. “Stop fooling around.”
Xiao Yanjin seemed not to hear, burying her face in Ji Yunuo’s neck and taking a deep breath.
Slightly nervous, Ji Yunuo involuntarily released a hint of pheromones.
This only made the intoxicated alpha more infatuated.
“Sis, you smell so good.” The more entranced Xiao Yanjin became, the less she could control herself.
She leaned in and bit Ji Yunuo’s lip hard.
Ji Yunuo was momentarily stunned. A kiss was one thing, but why bite? Did she really think she was some obedient puppy?!
Xiao Yanjin’s tongue attempted to push in, but Ji Yunuo stopped her in time.
“Your breath reeks of alcohol,” Ji Yunuo frowned.
Finally managing to push her away, Ji Yunuo helped her drink a bowl of sobering soup, one she had specially prepared.
But Xiao Yanjin shook her head stubbornly. “No, no, no, no, no.”
Seeing her throw a childish tantrum, Ji Yunuo couldn’t help but smile indulgently.
“Why won’t you drink it?”
Xiao Yanjin’s eyes were hazy as she grinned. “Feed me. If you feed me, I’ll drink it.”
With a resigned sigh, Ji Yunuo took a sip of the soup herself, only for Xiao Yanjin to wrap her arms around her waist and press their lips together, slowly drawing the liquid into her own mouth.
Licking the remnants from her lips, Xiao Yanjin gave her a suggestive look and smirked. “That’s more like it.”
Ji Yunuo pursed her lips, suspecting Xiao Yanjin was faking her drunkenness.
After wiping her down, Ji Yunuo carried Xiao Yanjin to the bedroom.
Xiao Yanjin was heavy, making the task difficult.
During the bath, Xiao Yanjin had been so unruly that she’d soaked Ji Yunuo’s clothes, forcing her to change in Xiao Yanjin’s room.
Later, Xiao Yanjin clung to her in bed, murmuring, “Don’t go. Stay and sleep with me, okay?”
Seeing her pitiful expression, Ji Yunuo relented. “Fine, but no funny business.”
Xiao Yanjin smiled sweetly. “No funny business.”
Ji Yunuo actually believed her.
But there was no way Xiao Yanjin would stay sober for long.
Before long, the groping began.
Ji Yunuo jolted awake. “Xiao Yanjin, you!”
“Sis, I’m so hot. Can you help me take my clothes off?”
“If you’re hot, stop clinging to me!”
Xiao Yanjin suddenly flipped over, pinning her down, and spoke in a perfectly lucid tone: “But you’ll have to help me cool down.”
At that moment, Ji Yunuo knew for sure, this woman had been pretending all along.
Late at night, Shi Zhengyi and Jiang Nan finally returned.
Shi Zhengyi opened the door first, ignoring Jiang Nan’s protests about making her wait outside. Seeing the lights off inside, she sighed in relief.
Jiang Nan couldn’t hold back. “Shi Zhengyi, you said we were going to find Sister Shenya. Why did you drag me shopping instead?”
Shi Zhengyi shrugged. “Can’t I want your company while shopping?”
Jiang Nan huffed. “I know you’re lonely and need crowded places, but did we really have to go three kilometers away? And on foot! We almost ran into muggers. If we had, I’d have run off and left you behind.”
Shi Zhengyi patted her shoulder. “Relax, we made it back, didn’t we? Wash up and sleep. We’re moving tomorrow.”
At this, Jiang Nan grew wistful, wondering if they’d ever reunite with everyone again.
Once the outside lights were off, the sound of heavy breathing finally resumed in one of the rooms.
Xiao Yanjin smiled and said, “They’ve finally gone to sleep.”
Ji Yunuo’s chest rose and fell as she struggled to catch her breath.
Afterward, Ji Yunuo didn’t leave but instead nestled in Xiao Yanjin’s arms to rest.
She placed a hand on her warm stomach, thinking of the pregnancy test in the trash.
Over the past few days, ever since the first time, she and Xiao Yanjin had done it several more times. Each time, she had used every ounce of her charm to drive Xiao Yanjin wild with desire.
Her eyes clouded with worry, dissolving into a sigh.
“Jiejie.”
Xiao Yanjin called softly.
“What’s wrong?” Ji Yunuo looked at her and pressed a kiss to her lips.
Xiao Yanjin kissed her deeply in return, but her thoughts suddenly grew heavy.
“Does your mom really hate me?” she asked. “So she was the one who told you to stay away from me before.”
In the end, Ji Yunuo had kept all these things to herself without telling her.
Xiao Yanjin was frustrated too, she shouldn’t have provoked Chu Luo, which led to her finding out about their relationship.
Ji Yunuo had warned her back then, but seeing her calm, composed smile, Xiao Yanjin had assumed everything was fine and hadn’t taken it seriously.
Ji Yunuo thought for a moment, then smiled. “It’s fine. You’re so wonderful, she’ll come around eventually.”
Xiao Yanjin’s heart clenched. Ji Yunuo’s words were as gentle as water, washing away some of her worries.
Xiao Yanjin pecked her lightly. “How are you so good to me?”
“You’re wonderful too.” Ji Yunuo hugged her delicate little Alpha tighter.
“Will we really be together?” Xiao Yanjin asked uncertainly.
“We will.” Ji Yunuo affirmed.
“Really?” Xiao Yanjin’s eyes shimmered with hope.
Ji Yunuo’s heart ached as she nodded again. “Of course. No matter what, I’ll stay with my delicate little Alpha.” She tapped Xiao Yanjin’s nose playfully.
Xiao Yanjin bit her lip and snuggled even closer into her embrace.
Ji Yunuo no longer had the energy to think about anything else. She hooked her arms around Xiao Yanjin’s neck again, burying her face deep in her chest.
“Yanjin, do you still have energy left?” she asked shyly.
Xiao Yanjin didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. She was, after all, a young Alpha wasn’t that question practically an insult?
“I’ve got plenty of energy,” Xiao Yanjin said, reaching out.
“That was only the second time,” Ji Yunuo murmured against her shoulder with a soft whimper. “Can you make it to seven?”
Xiao Yanjin was startled. Today, Ji Yunuo was clinging to her more tightly than ever but she didn’t mind.
Soon, all their troubles were forgotten as the two returned to their passionate battlefield, surrendering to the storm’s relentless rhythm.
Before the gathering of the Xiao and Ji families, Wei Qin sought out Xiao Yanjin in secret.
In a secluded alley near a residential building, Wei Qin’s first words were: “How did you seduce Nuonuo?”
Seduce? Xiao Yanjin arched a brow. “Maybe because I’m good-looking.”
