From Trashy A to the Heiress’s Little Son-in-Law After the Idol Competition (GL, ABO) - Chapter 23
Judging by the symptoms, it was likely due to lack of oxygen. Fortunately, there was a hotel right next to them as soon as they stepped out. Ji Yunuo gritted her teeth and decided to book a room.
The front desk clerk glanced at the unconscious alpha and the beautiful Omega, muttering under her breath, “These days, alphas actually let Omegas book rooms for them? What’s the deal with these so-called ‘soft alphas’ nowadays?”
Hearing this, Ji Yunuo froze for a moment. There was no point arguing, so she sighed and carried Xiao Yanjin to the bed.
After buying water downstairs and opening the windows to let in fresh air, Xiao Yanjin should wake up soon.
Ji Yunuo gazed at the alpha on the bed, lost in thought.
Suddenly, a phone rang from Xiao Yanjin’s pocket.
It was Shi Zhengyi calling. Ji Yunuo exhaled, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear before answering, “Hello.”
“Where are you? You said you were going to buy fried chicken, but I can’t find you anywhere!” Shi Zhengyi’s voice came through.
Ji Yunuo was puzzled for a second had Shi Zhengyi not recognized her voice?
“I’m at AA Hotel, Room 606. Come find me.”
After hanging up, Shi Zhengyi belatedly realized, why did Xiao Yanjin’s voice sound so much like Ji Yunuo’s?
Ji Yunuo turned her attention back to Xiao Yanjin. For an alpha to faint like this was her body even reliable?
Sitting by the bedside, Ji Yunuo studied Xiao Yanjin carefully and realized she was actually quite good-looking.
Her nose was small yet well-defined, her lips rosy and not chapped, and her eyelashes were thick, dark, and long. No wonder she still had fans despite all the scandals, it all came down to her looks.
Unable to resist, Ji Yunuo reached out and poked Xiao Yanjin’s cheek. It was soft and pale, like a little bun, indenting slightly under her touch.
Xiao Yanjin even pouted in her sleep, snoring lightly adorable.
Ji Yunuo chuckled and was about to leave, letting Shi Zhengyi take care of her, when she heard a faint, kitten-like whimper from behind.
Ji Yunuo immediately turned back and saw Xiao Yanjin’s hand twitch. “Are you okay?” she asked softly.
The whimpers continued, nothing like her usual composed self instead, there was an endearing, almost coquettish quality to them.
Xiao Yanjin was indeed awake, but her head was spinning, and her body felt weak.
What’s more, she could sense an Omega nearby one who had leaned in close, carrying a faint, cool fragrance with just a hint of pheromones.
Her body felt like a switch had been flipped, and she couldn’t hold back anymore.
Ji Yunuo, still unaware of the problem, belatedly noticed a new scent filling the room.
A milky fragrance.
And the source was the alpha on the bed.
Ji Yunuo stood up this was her pheromones.
She was entering her rut.
Before she could react, her fingers were seized by the alpha. Xiao Yanjin yanked hard, pulling Ji Yunuo down on top of her. As Ji Yunuo struggled, a heavy weight pressed her down.
Xiao Yanjin opened her eyes, and the two locked gazes.
“Jiejie, I don’t feel good,” Xiao Yanjin murmured. This was her first rut since transmigrating. She only knew that the original host’s body became unbearably restless during this time, craving an Omega’s scent, desperate to bite and claim.
But she couldn’t not when the Omega was Ji Yunuo.
The two of them, one on top of the other, would undoubtedly look intimate to an outsider.
But Xiao Yanjin had no intention of leaving. She buried her face deeply into Ji Yunuo’s neck.
Ji Yunuo felt her heart pounding uncontrollably, and before she realized it, her pheromones began to disperse.
Xiao Yanjin, meanwhile, inhaled deeply, taking in the scent.
“Big sister, you smell so good…”
Ji Yunuo grew uneasy. During their rut, alphas could become dangerously erratic when influenced by an Omega, she had no idea what she might do.
Moreover, as a top-tier Omega, her pheromones were even more potent, capable of acting as a secret weapon against other alphas.
“Xiao Yanjin.” Ji Yunuo panicked and tried to push her away, but Xiao Yanjin didn’t budge.
Ji Yunuo was indeed afraid of what Xiao Yanjin might do to her, but for now, she only continued to nuzzle against her neck, the sensation ticklish, as if Xiao Yanjin’s lips might soon leave it flushed.
“Big sister.”
Xiao Yanjin stealthily shifted upward, exhaling warm breath against Ji Yunuo’s ear, making her shiver and shrink back.
“Don’t be sad, okay?” Unexpectedly, those were the words that left Xiao Yanjin’s lips.
Ji Yunuo froze. “Sad about what?”
“You must have suffered a lot abroad.” Suddenly, Ji Yunuo caught a glimpse of mistiness in the alpha’s eyes, as if she were on the verge of tears.
“Honestly, my heart really ached for you just now.” Xiao Yanjin sounded like she was rambling, clearly growing more sensitive in her rut or, in other words, sentimental, though she herself didn’t even know what she was so upset about.
“Those people must have blamed you, isolated you. Someone as proud as you would never lower your head and admit fault.” Xiao Yanjin truly began to cry, a single tear rolling down her reddened eyes before she collapsed against Ji Yunuo, sobbing.
Alphas in rut rarely became this emotional yet Xiao Yanjin’s reaction was unusually intense, bordering on bizarre.
Ji Yunuo was stunned. She never expected Xiao Yanjin to actually feel distressed on her behalf.
Without thinking, she gently placed a hand on Xiao Yanjin’s back, soothing her. “I’m not sad.”
“No, if you remember everything so clearly, you must care. So don’t let their words affect you, they’re the ones in the wrong.” Xiao Yanjin furrowed her brows, choking back a sob. “I don’t know why, but my heart really hurts for you. If I saw you cry, I don’t even know if I’d start crying too…”
Hearing this, Ji Yunuo was completely dumbfounded. She genuinely cared.
But was that necessary?
“I’m fine now.”
“But I still feel like you’re unhappy. If you’re unhappy, then I’m unhappy too, so I’ve always wanted to make you happy…”
Was that really the case?
Xiao Yanjin’s delicate features made her look utterly pitiful when she cried like a drenched pear blossom, fragile and heart-wrenching. If it were someone like Lan Yuanning, an Omega with strong maternal instincts, she’d probably be overwhelmed with the urge to hug and comfort her.
To Ji Yunuo, she resembled nothing more than a crying kitten.
A kitten this adorable…
She suddenly felt the urge to make her cry again.
Realizing that Xiao Yanjin was now weeping against her chest, her entire weight pressing down, Ji Yunuo grew extremely uncomfortable.
“Alright, get up first.”
But after her crying fit, Xiao Yanjin became even more dependent on her pheromones.
“But big sister, you smell so nice. I love it.” Xiao Yanjin nuzzled against her insistently, murmuring, “So soft… I really don’t want to leave you.”
Ji Yunuo stiffened instantly and shoved her away.
Xiao Yanjin collapsed onto the carpet, her face flushed unnaturally red.
Mumbling softly, she called out, “Sister, sister…”
Ji Yunuo suppressed her irritation and pulled her onto the bed.
Glancing at the delivery app, she saw that the nearest store with suppressants would take forty minutes to arrive.
Forty minutes, could she last that long?
Xiao Yanjin’s face was damp with sweat, her body and mind in turmoil. Forget forty minutes even ten would be unbearable.
For some reason, Ji Yunuo bent down, lifted her up, and let her lean against her.
As if clinging to an object that emitted pheromones, Xiao Yanjin wrapped her arms tightly around her, inhaling deeply. Her body immediately felt much more at ease.
“Sister, you’re so good to me,” Xiao Yanjin said in a soft, childlike voice. “If you ever did this for me again, that would be amazing.”
Ji Yunuo’s heart skipped a beat. She had no intention of acting as an alpha’s suppressant!
Last time she went into heat, she had relied on suppressants and biting Xiao Yanjin’s lip, the pheromones in her blood had helped stabilize her condition.
But without suppressants, Ji Yunuo couldn’t just hold her indefinitely and let her scent freely. If the alpha lost control, she’d be done for.
Biting her lip, Ji Yunuo placed a hand on Xiao Yanjin’s back, fingers brushing over the swollen gland at the nape of her neck.
If she bit the gland and injected her own pheromones, a temporary mark could help Xiao Yanjin recover.
“Little kitten,” Ji Yunuo murmured gently.
Xiao Yanjin lifted dazed eyes, like a confused kitten, and mumbled, “Sister, what did you call me?”
She was unbearably adorable.
Ji Yunuo’s heart skipped again.
“Can I help you?”
“Help me with what?”
“Like… marking you.”
Ji Yunuo’s voice was cool yet intoxicating, compelling Xiao Yanjin to comply.
Understanding her meaning, Xiao Yanjin obediently lay down on the bed, sweeping her long hair aside to expose her fair neck and the inflamed gland.
Softly, she said, “Sister, go ahead.”
Ji Yunuo was taken aback. “You’re really willing to let me mark you?”
Xiao Yanjin was afraid she might lose control. A sliver of clarity returned, and she urged Ji Yunuo, “You should go wait outside for the delivery. I’m worried something might happen to you. Just let me calm down, I’ll be fine after a while.”
Her words were strained, but Ji Yunuo was like a living pheromone. Xiao Yanjin wanted nothing more than to pull her close and kiss her fiercely, but she couldn’t. Instead, she gripped the sheets in agony, sweat soaking through her clothes in seconds.
Her body wasn’t in pain, but an indescribable sensation spread through her, as if she’d been poisoned.
Her face was deathly pale, this was worse than menstrual cramps.
Then, she felt weight press against her back.
Ji Yunuo gazed down at her with an indifferent expression.
“It’s my first time,” she said quietly. “It might hurt a little. Bear with me.”
Xiao Yanjin wanted to protest, she hadn’t expected her first time to be marked by an omega.
But before she could speak, something warm and wet enveloped her gland.
Her eyes flew open. The gland was swollen, causing her discomfort until the cool, damp sensation soothed it, making her body relax in unexpected relief.
“You!”
Ji Yunuo didn’t know what to do. She only knew to bite open the gland, letting her saliva infused with pheromones transfer over.
It seemed like a monumental task.
“Shut up!” Ji Yunuo said coldly.
Closing her eyes, she bit into the gland without hesitation.
Pain instantly spread through her entire body, as if an electric current surged through every limb, leaving a tingling numbness. Xiao Yanjin couldn’t help but scream.
At the same time, she no longer felt as miserable as before.
Seeing Xiao Yanjin stop struggling, it must have effectively suppressed her condition.
Ji Yunuo pursed her lips, they tasted slightly sweet and realized they were covered in blood.
Ade called again, sounding apologetic. “Miss, Madam is already furious. You should come back now.”
Ji Yunuo was silent for a moment. “Fine, I’ll return soon.”
She glanced at Xiao Yanjin, still lying on the bed. The alpha’s expression was calm, a faint smile lingering on her lips.
No one would have guessed that the one who could resolve Xiao Yanjin’s rut was actually Ji Yunuo.
Xiao Yanjin never expected it either. Ji Yunuo was like an intangible wind something you could feel but never see. Only when the breeze carried the scent of roses would you realize that, not far away, a rose was blooming, its petals crimson and dripping, exuding an elegance that made people hesitate to approach.
By the time Xiao Yanjin woke up, Ji Yunuo was no longer in the room.
Just then, Shi Zhengyi’s voice sounded from outside. “Xiao Yanjin, what are you doing in there?”
When Xiao Yanjin opened the door, Shi Zhengyi and Jiang Nan stared at her with impatience, only for their jaws to drop at the sight of the disheveled bed.
Shi Zhengyi: “Don’t tell me you were in there with an Omega doing… that.” Then, with a knowing look, she added, “I get it. You’ve been in this training camp for so long, you needed to take care of some physical needs.”
Xiao Yanjin: “…”
On the way back, Xiao Yanjin made a stop at the hospital.
Diagnosis: Severe gland damage. Required daily application of medication.
Returning to the training camp, she resumed her routine, but her mind kept drifting to one person.
She had been marked by Ji Yunuo. Wasn’t that kind of embarrassing?
And yet… Xiao Yanjin felt a strange sense of pride.
“Zhengyi-jie.” Before nightfall, Xiao Yanjin obediently bundled herself under the covers and called out to Shi Zhengyi.
“Hm?” Shi Zhengyi was playing a game.
“What happens if an Omega marks you?”
Shi Zhengyi didn’t even think before answering. “What else? You belong to her now.”
Xiao Yanjin bolted upright. What kind of nonsense is that?
Even so, Xiao Yanjin wanted to see Ji Yunuo again though she wasn’t sure why.
But there was no trace of her in the A-class training room. Even when she tried peeking into the dorms, the other Omegas chased her away, calling her a pervert.
Later, she learned from Lan Yuanning that Ji Yunuo had left.
The next morning, the dorm supervisor summoned Xiao Yanjin to the director’s office.
Shi Zhengyi: “Oh no. Did someone report you for spying on the Omega dorms?”
Xiao Yanjin was speechless. “Maybe it was Chu Luo.”
