From Trashy A to the Heiress’s Little Son-in-Law After the Idol Competition (GL, ABO) - Chapter 108
Little Youyan had grown to five years old, the age to start kindergarten.
That day, little Youyan carried her tiny pink backpack and looked at her two mothers still eating breakfast.
“Mommy, Mama, baby can finally go to school!” Little Youyan adored this backpack—it even had stickers of Ji Yunuo and Xiao Yanjin’s debut photos on it.
Ji Yunuo called out, “Baby, come here. You haven’t eaten yet.”
Little Youyan obediently walked over, unable to put the backpack down, still wearing it even as she sat down to eat.
Xiao Yanjin lifted her onto the high chair while Ji Yunuo scooped some plain rice porridge into her bowl and placed two pan-fried buns on her plate.
Xiao Yanjin asked, “Did you blow on the buns?”
Ji Yunuo hummed in confirmation. When it came to taking care of their child, Xiao Yanjin knew far too much.
In recent years, the company had been running smoothly, but Ji Yunuo sometimes worked late and came home exhausted. Most of the time, it was Xiao Yanjin who took care of little Youyan—bathing her, changing her clothes, and telling her bedtime stories.
She handled it all effortlessly.
Little Youyan opened her rosy little mouth and devoured half of a fist-sized pan-fried bun.
Ji Yunuo couldn’t help but chuckle—their baby had quite the appetite.
Seeing oil stains at the corner of her lips, Ji Yunuo quickly wiped them away.
“Wife,” Xiao Yanjin suddenly teased, leaning in and tilting her head up. “I think I have oil stains too. Hurry and wipe them off for me.”
Ji Yunuo gently dabbed at her lips, shooting a glance at the smug Xiao Yanjin as if to say, Aren’t you too old to be competing for attention with a child?
Little Youyan, now full, watched her mothers’ interaction—she was already used to it.
The two of them held little Youyan’s hands as they boarded the company car.
With a dedicated driver, the three of them sat in the back, flanking their daughter protectively.
“There will be lots of kids at kindergarten, and sometimes there might be little conflicts. If you ever feel upset, baby, make sure to tell Mommy and Mama, okay?” Ji Yunuo adjusted little Youyan’s collar, speaking softly and tenderly.
Little Youyan nodded twice before asking casually, “Aren’t Mommy and Mama coming with baby?”
Ji Yunuo stroked her little head. “Baby, you’re going to school. Mommy and Mama can’t stay in the classroom with you.”
Only then did little Youyan realize she’d be facing this alone. Biting her lip, her eyes reddened as she nodded. “Baby understands.”
Xiao Yanjin’s heart ached at the sight. “She’s not used to it yet. I’m really worried she might cry.”
Though Xiao Yanjin was usually stricter with little Youyan, seeing her pout pitifully now made her unbearably soft.
Ji Yunuo squeezed her hand. “Our baby is very smart. I’m sure she’ll make lots of friends at school.”
Little Youyan’s school was an international kindergarten, where most children came from privileged backgrounds, raised in comfort. If conflicts arose, they could be tricky to handle.
“Mommy, Mama, I’m going in now.” Little Youyan waved goodbye before being led inside by her teacher.
Watching her slightly reddened eyes, Xiao Yanjin let out a long sigh.
Ji Yunuo laughed beside her. “You’re always bickering with her and getting subtly annoyed—why are you so reluctant now?”
Xiao Yanjin pouted innocently. “I do not!”
The reason Xiao Yanjin sometimes acted displeased, intentionally or not, was because little Youyan was just too clingy.
She had just returned from filming outside and only wanted to cuddle with her wife. But lo and behold, when she lifted the blanket, there lay a chubby little figure snuggled in her arms, snoring softly while her wife gently patted the child’s back—a blessing only she could enjoy!
Ji Yunuo pinched her cheek playfully and teased, “Such a possessive mommy.”
“I just got a little jealous, that’s all,” Xiao Yanjin murmured, nuzzling against her like a kitten.
Yunuo couldn’t bring herself to push her away and could only laugh helplessly.
“Did you take on another drama?”
Xiao Yanjin nodded eagerly. “Yep, yep! I wrote the script myself, so I figured I should star in it too.”
“Another period drama?” Yunuo frowned slightly. The last time Yanjin acted in a fantasy historical drama, it became an instant hit the moment it aired.
The reason? The plot was downright bizarre—things no normal person would ever think of, yet somehow it worked. The reviews were mixed, but the drama was undeniably popular. Combined with Yanjin’s existing fame and the support of her shippers, she quickly rose to become one of the hottest rising stars.
After that, Yanjin starred in a few movies, rarely traveling far. But if it was a period drama, she’d be gone for months.
Yanjin grinned. “Of course not! It’s a modern drama, and filming starts right here in Lancheng.”
“Any female leads?”
“Aren’t I the female lead?” Yanjin blinked in confusion.
Yunuo tilted her head—her meaning wasn’t what Yanjin had assumed.
Yanjin suddenly understood. “Oh, you mean other female leads? Of course not! This is your wife’s solo female-led drama!”
She planted a kiss on Yunuo’s lips. Even after becoming a mother, her wife still got jealous so easily—but Yanjin loved that about her. It made her feel cherished.
Yunuo glanced at the driver. “In public, and you’re already getting handsy.”
“I’m not using my hands—just my mouth,” Yanjin retorted before her eyes sparkled mischievously. She wrapped an arm around Yunuo and whispered something in her ear.
Yunuo’s face flushed instantly.
“Really? Here?”
Yanjin pouted, putting on an even more pitiful act than little Youyan. “Jiejie, ever since we had the baby, our alone time has been so rare…”
Yunuo sighed and called out to the driver, “Take us to the nearest hotel.”
–
By the time they were ready to leave, little Youyan had already finished school.
Rushing to the kindergarten, they quickly spotted their child among the group of toddlers.
“Mommy! Mama!” Youyan leaped into Yanjin’s arms.
“How was school, sweetheart?” Yunuo asked.
“I made sooo many friends!” Youyan gushed. “They all seemed to like me—they kept kissing me!”
Yanjin froze. “Kissing you?! Baby, were they boys or girls?”
“All girls,” Youyan answered innocently, oblivious to Yanjin’s widened eyes.
Yunuo burst out laughing. “Seems like you’re quite the heartthrob among the girls.”
Once home, Yunuo urged Youyan to take a bath first.
With Wei Qin and Ji Zhiye off traveling the world, Yanjin suddenly had a stroke of inspiration—she wanted to cook dinner herself and insisted on dragging her wife into it.
She called it “quality cooking time.”
Ji Yunuo still didn’t know how to cook, but since it was for their baby, she was happy to try.
“How do I cut this?”
“What’s this vegetable called?”
“Does this need to be washed?”
Xiao Yanjin watched her every move, and the moment the knife wasn’t handled right, she immediately took over, laughing, “Let me do it.”
Ji Yunuo huffed, “You won’t let me do this or that, yet you still asked me to help. What’s the point?”
“Just wanted you to be involved,” Xiao Yanjin said, stretching out her arms—still holding the scent of freshly chopped scallions—for a hug.
Ji Yunuo pretended not to see.
Xiao Yanjin wiggled her hips. “Jiejie, jiejie, jiejie, jiejie—”
“Alright, alright.” Ji Yunuo sighed in amusement and walked over to embrace her, muttering, “And you still want me to hold you at a time like this.”
“I want to hold you all the time,” Xiao Yanjin said sweetly.
Ji Yunuo tightened her arms. “Silly girl.”
Xiao Yanjin: “Remember, ‘silly girl’ is only for me. If you call that little rascal that, I’ll get mad.”
Ji Yunuo smiled helplessly. “Little fool,” “little cutie,” “little puppy”—all these nicknames belonged solely to Xiao Yanjin. The only one reserved for Xiao Youyan was simply “baby.” It was clear just how lacking in endearments Xiao Youyan’s titles were.
Gazing at each other, they couldn’t resist kissing again.
Even though they had kissed thoroughly in the hotel earlier—deep kisses, soft kisses, lingering kisses—every one still felt unforgettable.
As if they wanted to melt into each other.
“Jiejie, I just realized this is seriously addictive. No matter how many times we’ve done it, I still can’t get enough,” Xiao Yanjin whined pitifully.
Ji Yunuo comforted her, “Just hold on for a few more days. My moms might come back early if they miss their granddaughter.”
Originally, Wei Qin and Ji Ye could have taken care of Xiao Youyan, but since they were traveling now, the little one had to be looked after by her mothers.
“Then kiss me again.”
Lost in each other, Xiao Yanjin suddenly sensed someone approaching. They turned to see Xiao Youyan staring at them, wide-eyed.
“Baby, what’s wrong?” Ji Yunuo was startled. Though they occasionally kissed in front of Xiao Youyan, it was always just a peck—never something as heated as this.
“Mom, Mama, I just wanted to ask… I think the shower gel in the bathroom is empty,” Xiao Youyan said, acting completely normal.
“There’s a new one in the bottom cabinet. Go check,” Ji Yunuo replied.
Xiao Youyan hummed in acknowledgment and skipped off happily.
Xiao Yanjin: “She saw us. What do we tell her?”
Ji Yunuo: “It’s fine. I already have an explanation ready.”
Xiao Yanjin gave a thumbs-up. “That fast?”
Ji Yunuo: “When I was little, I also walked in on my moms kissing. They explained it to me, though I didn’t really pay attention—I was too lazy to think too much about it back then. But it’s better than nothing.”
Thinking about it, Xiao Youyan wasn’t like her younger self. With Xiao Yanjin’s genes, she was much sharper.
Still, they had to give some kind of talk to prevent her from copying them.
Just as she was considering this, Xiao Yanjin leaned against her shoulder and murmured, “So… can we continue?”
Ji Yunuo laughed in exasperation. Her insatiable wife really didn’t know when to stop.
In the evening, Xiao Yanjin stood nearby while Ji Yunuo sat by the bed, telling the baby about what had just happened.
Little Youyan listened attentively, nodding eagerly—it seemed the child had taken it all in.
Watching this, Xiao Yanjin felt deeply moved. She never imagined she would become a mother herself.
She wondered how the original owner of this body was faring in that other world.
