Chapter 17: The Vixen Chases Her to the Gym to Seduce Her
Tao Yao had just finished dinner and was reading a novel when her phone suddenly vibrated.
She picked it up casually, but her fingers froze the moment she saw the notification on the screen.
It was actually a message from L.
How strange. L usually looked for her late at night; she had never sent a message at this hour.
Staring at the avatar, Tao Yao took several deep breaths before clicking it open.
L: “Are you there?”
L: “She seems to be deliberately avoiding me lately—evading eye contact, reducing communication. In your opinion, why is this?”
Tao Yao’s heart tightened suddenly, a chill racing from the soles of her feet to the top of her head.
The other party hadn’t given up; instead, her withdrawal had triggered an even greater curiosity. That fear of being a prey pursued step-by-step by a hunter, with nowhere to hide, seized her firmly once again.
She typed rapidly, every word carrying earnest dissuasion, even a hint of pleading:
Tao Zhi Yao Yao: “Sister, this should be a clear signal of rejection!”
She deleted it and reorganized her words:
Tao Zhi Yao Yao: “Perhaps she really isn’t interested in women; she’s straight. With your excellent qualities, why obsess over someone who might never be able to respond to you? There are plenty of fish in the sea…”
She almost typed out “Please stop seducing me” directly.
After sending the message, she stared fixedly at the screen, hoping the other party would give up.
The reply came quickly.
L: “No, I can feel it. She isn’t completely indifferent.”
Immediately following that, another message jumped out, stabbing brightly into her eyes:
L: “Do you think I should be… a bit more proactive?”
More proactive?
Tao Yao was so scared she nearly threw her phone away. Countless terrifying images flashed through her mind: Lu Xuelan cornering her in the study, pinching her chin to force a confession, or worse, like in the dream…
Incoherent with panic, she desperately searched for any possible reason to douse the other party’s dangerous thoughts.
Tao Zhi Yao Yao: “Don’t! Sister, stay calm!”
Tao Zhi Yao Yao: “Maybe… maybe she has other concerns, or… or she has someone she likes?”
A love rival.
Yes, use a rival to shift the focus and make her retreat.
Completely unaware that she had made a terrible move, Tao Yao turned off her phone after sending the message and packed her things to head out.
She worked part-time teaching two boxing classes a week at the gym. It was the perfect time to hit the bags and vent her bad emotions.
It was extremely stress-relieving.
After cycling to the gym, Tao Yao pushed open the locker room door and walked into the training area.
Due to the exercise, her hair was still damp. A black tight-fitting sports tank top outlined the smooth lines of her shoulders and arms, while a pair of long legs appeared straight and powerful beneath her shorts. She took a deep breath, trying to clear her mind. Here, she was Coach Tao, not the anxious tutor at the Lu household.
However, before she could fully exhale that breath, it got stuck in her throat.
At the front desk, the one figure who absolutely should not have been here made Tao Yao freeze on the spot.
Lu Xuelan.
She wore a form-fitting, custom sports outfit. Her long hair was rarely tied into a high ponytail, with a few stray strands falling by her neck. She lacked some of the sharpness of the office, replaced by a refreshing sporty vibe.
Yet standing there, even just her profile felt out of place with the noisy crowd around her.
It was like an aura of isolation marking a clear boundary.
She was leaning forward slightly, signing something on the front desk tablet.
The girl at the front desk had flushed cheeks and dodging eyes, clearly stunned by this sudden guest.
As if sensing Tao Yao’s gaze, Lu Xuelan finished signing, straightened up, and turned around.
Their eyes met.
A “buzz” went off in Tao Yao’s head, like something had exploded.
She saw Lu Xuelan’s gaze calmly sweep over her entire body—from her damp hair to the sports top, the shorts, and then to her bare calves and sneakers. That look wasn’t lewd, but it held a penetrating scrutiny.
It made Tao Yao feel as if she were being peeled open layer by layer.
Then, Lu Xuelan walked toward her. Her pace was unhurried, her ponytail swaying gently with her movements.
“Teacher Tao.” She stood still in front of Tao Yao, her voice steady as usual, devoid of readable emotion. “What a coincidence.”
Coincidence?
Coincidence my foot!
This gym was ten thousand miles away from both the Lu villa and the Lu Corporation building. Would Lu Xuelan “happen” to come here?
This was a naked, blatant pursuit; she didn’t even bother to find a more reasonable excuse.
“Pre—President Lu?” Tao Yao heard her own dry voice. “Why… would you be here?”
Lu Xuelan’s tone was as natural as if she were discussing the weather. “My neck and shoulders have been a bit stiff lately. The doctor suggested doing some appropriate stretching and core training, so I came to try it out.” She paused, her gaze landing on Tao Yao’s instantly tensed face, and added: “I’ve already completed the paperwork for private coaching. It happens to be your class today, right?”
Tao Yao gritted her back teeth hard to stop the words “I don’t have a class! I’m off today!” from bursting out.
The schedule was public; Lu Xuelan had obviously checked it beforehand.
“…Yes.” Tao Yao squeezed the word through her teeth. “Then… President Lu, let’s go to the private training area over there.”
“Alright.” Lu Xuelan nodded slightly and followed behind her.
The private training area was separated by semi-transparent glass partitions and was relatively quiet.
Tao Yao tried her best to step into the role of a coach, taking out several pairs of boxing gloves and protective gear.
“Has President Lu had any contact with boxing before?” She kept her voice as professional as possible.
“No.” Lu Xuelan took the gloves, her movements somewhat unfamiliar as she tried to put them on. “I’ve only watched matches.”
“Then we’ll start with the most basic stance and fist-clenching.” Tao Yao stood before her and demonstrated a standard fighting stance. “Keep your feet front and back, shoulder-width apart or slightly wider, knees slightly bent, center of gravity between your feet. Keep the lead hand relaxed, protecting the jaw, and the rear hand tight against the cheek…”
She adjusted her own posture as she spoke.
Lu Xuelan learned quickly, mimicking her movements. Although the details were still a bit awkward, the framework was there.
“Very good.” Tao Yao stepped closer, subconsciously wanting to reach out to adjust her shoulders. “Relax your shoulders, don’t hunch them up…”
Halfway through the reach, she suddenly froze in mid-air, caught between advancing and retreating.
Lu Xuelan, however, seemed not to notice her hesitation. Maintaining her pose, she tilted her head slightly toward her: “Here? It does feel a bit tight.”
“…Right.” Tao Yao forced herself to place her hands on Lu Xuelan’s shoulders. “Feel it for yourself; consciously let them sink.”
“Like this?” Lu Xuelan adjusted as instructed.
“Mhm, a bit better.” Tao Yao stepped back to pull into a safe distance. “Next is the straight punch. When punching, push off the ground with your foot, turn your hips, lead with the shoulder. Power starts from the ground and flows through to the knuckles. Watch my movement—”
She threw a few standard jabs and crosses at the air, her movements fluid and accompanied by the sound of breaking wind.
Lu Xuelan watched intently and then tried to mimic her.
“The movement is correct, but the exertion is too stiff.” Tao Yao observed. “Punching isn’t just about arm strength; you need to use your core and full-body coordination.” She stepped forward again, this time forced to provide closer guidance: “Throw another punch, a bit slower.”
Lu Xuelan threw the punch as requested.
Tao Yao watched her movement. At the moment the fist was about to straighten, she suddenly reached out and pressed her palm against the side of Lu Xuelan’s lower abdomen—the key position for core power.
“Right here,” Tao Yao’s voice was slightly hurried due to focus, “do you feel it? The moment you punch, this area needs to tighten and explode…”
Her words stopped abruptly.
Beneath her palm was soft yet extremely resilient muscle.
The slight friction of the sports fabric, the startling heat radiating from the skin underneath, and the contours rising and falling slightly with breathing and exertion… all the sensations amplified in an instant, racing clearly along the nerves of her arm to her brain.
As if burned, Tao Yao snapped her hand back and leaped back a step, her cheeks flushing instantly.
Lu Xuelan’s movement also stopped. She slowly retracted her fist, turned around, and looked at Tao Yao. The exertion from exercise made her cheeks glow red, with fine beads of sweat on her forehead. Her eyes looked exceptionally deep under the lights.
“Here?” she whispered, repeating the word. Her gaze slowly moved to Tao Yao’s flushed face and her restless hands.
“Right… right there.” Tao Yao averted her eyes awkwardly, her voice tight. “Find the feeling for yourself, President Lu. I… I’ll go get a mitt.”
She practically fled toward the equipment rack, her heart pounding in her chest.
For the rest of the half-session, Tao Yao felt like a marionette. All instructional commands were spat mechanically from her mouth; her demonstrations were stiff, and she avoided eye contact with Lu Xuelan as much as possible. Lu Xuelan, however, appeared unusually focused, completing every movement seriously. Sweat gradually soaked her forehead and the fabric on her back, and her breathing became slightly hurried.
That focus itself felt like a silent pressure.
She only hoped time would go faster, even faster.
“Alright, President Lu, that’s it for today’s basic class.” When the clock struck the hour, Tao Yao announced almost impatiently, “It’s your first time, the intensity shouldn’t be too high. Finally, let’s do some stretching and relaxation.”
Lu Xuelan stopped her movements, took off her gloves, and used a towel to wipe the sweat from her neck and face. Her skin radiated a healthy flush from the exercise; a few strands of damp hair clung to her cheek, and her ponytail had loosened. Her gaze swept over Tao Yao’s similarly sweat-dampened forehead and cheeks flushed from exercise, finally landing on the smooth arm lines beneath her tight tank top.
“Coach Tao has very good stamina.” She suddenly spoke, her voice carrying a hint of raspiness from her breath.
To Tao Yao’s ears, these words sounded like a double-entendre test.
Her heart skipped a beat as she replied vaguely: “I’m used to it. President Lu performed well too; your learning ability is very strong.”
Lu Xuelan neither agreed nor disagreed. She lightly moved her shoulders and neck, her brow furrowing almost imperceptibly: “This area seems to be pulled; it’s a bit sore.”
Out of professional ethics, Tao Yao felt compelled to speak: “Muscle tension after exercise is normal. If you’re uncomfortable, I can help you do some simple relaxation. We coaches have all learned basic sports recovery techniques.”
“Then I’ll trouble Coach Tao.” Lu Xuelan complied naturally, walking toward the padded mats spread nearby.
Tao Yao cursed herself inwardly for having a big mouth but could only follow.
Lu Xuelan lay prone on the mat, turning her face to one side.
Tao Yao knelt beside her, took a deep breath, and tried to cast aside stray thoughts to focus on being professional.
“President Lu, I’ll use my elbow to help press the acupoints around your trapezius and scapula. It will feel a bit sore and swollen, so bear with it.” As she spoke, she pressed her elbow above Lu Xuelan’s right shoulder blade and began to apply pressure with a slow kneading motion.
The skin beneath her fingertips was warm and slightly slick with sweat.
Tao Yao could clearly feel the muscle stiffness. She adjusted her strength, focusing on finding the tense muscle bundles.
“Mmm…”
An extremely low, suppressed groan escaped from Lu Xuelan’s throat.
Tao Yao’s elbow trembled.
The sound was too low, nearly a breath, carrying the unique rasp of post-exercise along with a trace of something forced, suppressed, and indescribable… something else. It sounded like pain, yet also like a certain release, so sexy it made her scalp go numb.
Tao Yao’s earlobes instantly turned scalding, and the movements of her hands unconsciously lost their rhythm.
“Is… is this spot particularly sore?” she asked, barely steadying her voice.
“…Mhm.” Lu Xuelan’s answer remained brief, but her breathing seemed to become a bit heavier. Her face was buried in her arms, so Tao Yao couldn’t see her expression; she could only see a small patch of reddened ear and the beautiful curve of her neck.
Tao Yao forced herself to concentrate and moved to another spot.
But that groan was like a demonic sound stuck in her ear, echoing repeatedly in her mind.
Every press of her fingertips seemed to cause a slight tremor in the person beneath her. The air was thick with the unique cold fragrance of Lu Xuelan, coupled with the nearly ambiguous contact… blending into a dizzying atmosphere.
Tao Yao’s breathing also began to destabilize, her heart beating so fast she was afraid the other party could hear it.
What was even more terrifying was that her mind uncontrollably flashed back to the “teaching materials” Lu Xuelan had once shared with her, specifically one of the few plotlines: a beautiful, sexy president took a fancy to her fitness-loving female neighbor, then visited her under the guise of seeking fitness guidance, using every trick in the book until she successfully lured her neighbor into bed.
And the first intimate contact between the two was on a yoga mat, with the beautiful president using the excuse of being sore all over after a workout to ask the neighbor for a massage, and then things spiraled out of control… Tao Yao suddenly shuddered.
Did this scheming old vixen chase her to the gym just to practice those “teaching materials”?
