Forcibly Marked by My Fiancé’s Best Friend - Chapter 2
Chapter 2
Lian Xu struggled with all his might, but he was an Omega, and his strength was no match for Yin Zhuo’s. This was especially true when the Alpha was consumed by rage; the oppressive pheromones he released stung Lian Xu’s glands in sharp, rhythmic waves of pain.
He regretted packing his bags first. The moment he walked through the door, he should have replaced his high-potency blocking patch. Had he known that the news of him joining the Command Center would drive the Alpha into such a frenzy, he would have preemptively injected a dose of suppressant.
“Lian Xu, as long as you are my fiancé, you belong to the Cabinet. Do not betray me, and more importantly, do not betray the Cabinet.”
Fortunately, Yin Zhuo regained his senses in time. He released Lian Xu’s wrists and turned to retreat into the bedroom.
The intense pheromonal suppression left Lian Xu completely exhausted. He slid down the side of the sofa, cold sweat dripping from his forehead onto the floor.
Misfortunes never come singly. Weakened by high-intensity combat, Lian Xu now found himself facing an early onset of heat triggered by the stress.
He rolled over and crawled forward a short distance; his bag contained the suppressants he had just packed. These were special-issue base suppressants—highly potent with minimal side effects. A single shot would clear his mind and maintain stability for two or three days without issue.
However, Lian Xu hadn’t expected Yin Zhuo to be so furious. Though the man had left the room, his pheromones continued to relentlessly assault the glands at the nape of Lian Xu’s neck. An unmarked, pristine gland was naturally incapable of processing a foreign Alpha’s pheromones effectively, let alone such aggressive ones.
The back of Lian Xu’s neck burned as if sliced by a blade. The pain forced tears from his eyes, leaving him utterly limp.
Just then, the dormitory door was suddenly pushed open.
A young, wild Alpha burst in.
“Yin Zhuo, my bathroom faucet is broken. I came to borrow some hot—”
Mid-sentence, the Alpha froze.
The scene before him was an intoxicating temptation that kept him rooted to the spot. His “sister-in-law” was in heat, sitting pitifully on the floor in tears, desperate for comfort—yet his “dear friend” remained indifferent.
Yu knew Yin Zhuo was in the room; they had returned together after training. It was simply that his dear friend didn’t care for this soon-to-be wife, preferring to hide in the bedroom and block everything out rather than show a shred of mercy by offering a bit of soothing pheromones to the poor Omega.
“Sister-in-law is back? Why are you sitting on the floor?” He Yu asked with a smirk, feigning ignorance.
Lian Xu glanced at him but didn’t respond.
Yu loosened the belt of his bathrobe, slightly parting the fabric to reveal firm pectoral muscles, and slowly approached the Omega on the floor.
“The floor is cold, get up.” He reached out to grasp Lian Xu’s waist under the guise of helping him, yet he had no intention of actually pulling him up. His cold palms kneaded the Omega’s side through the black, blood-stained military uniform, as if trying to massage the very flesh off his bones.
Lian Xu pressed a hand against He Yu’s shoulder to push him away, but his arms were weak and soft, producing no effect.
“Suppressant…” Lian Xu whispered.
“Hmm?” Yu leaned close to Lian Xu’s lips. As their eyes met, he could clearly see the blurred passion in the Omega’s gaze. It drove him mad with jealousy, making his movements even more aggressive. “Pheromones are much more effective than suppressants, aren’t they?”
With tears still in his eyes, Lian Xu glared fiercely at the reckless Alpha.
Yu smiled nonchalantly and lifted him onto the sofa.
Noticing the two packed black backpacks nearby, he couldn’t help but ask, “Where is my sister-in-law moving to?”
Before Lian Xu could answer, He Yu continued, “Oh, the new Commander issued an order. All Command Center members must move into the new dormitories.”
The fiancé of the Prime Minister had been appointed as a core member of the Command Center. Since the Command Center’s inception meant a direct conflict with the Cabinet, He Yu didn’t know whether to call the Commander stupid or cunning.
“Why isn’t Yin Zhuo helping you move? Is he angry?” He Yu said with a laugh.
How rare—something had actually managed to make Yin Zhuo lose his temper.
“In that case, I’ll be a good soul and help you,” He Yu said. “Where is your new room?”
Lian Xu bit his lip and turned his head away, determined not to communicate.
He Yu didn’t take offense. Instead, he reached into the bag and pulled out the optical computer. His long fingers tapped the screen a few times, easily bypassing the security.
He clicked his tongue in mock warning. “This won’t do. Sister-in-law, remember to set a maximum-level encryption key. Otherwise, leaking intel could land you in military court.”
With that, He Yu slung the bags over his shoulder, scooped the weakened Lian Xu up by the waist, and headed toward the new dormitories.
It was training time for most, so the hallways were relatively empty. Still, Lian Xu couldn’t help but worry about being seen, burying his face in He Yu’s chest.
He Yu’s bathrobe was half-open. Lian Xu didn’t realize he was pressed tightly against the Alpha’s bare chest; the masculine hormones radiating from the Alpha enveloped the Omega in heat.
As if also fearing discovery, He Yu quickened his pace. He soon found the new dormitory and swiped Lian Xu’s new ID card against the electronic lock.
The environment was brand new and fully furnished; Lian Xu only needed to bring his daily toiletries and clothes.
It seemed this Commander was quite thoughtful.
Yu laid Lian Xu on the bed.
An Omega in heat is highly sensitive. Sensing a strange environment, Lian Xu instinctively reached out to grab He Yu, but the Alpha suddenly shifted, causing him to miss. His hand flailed in the air, barely managing to snag He Yu’s belt.
Yu stood up straight as if unaware, and the belt was pulled away by the strengthless Omega.
Across his firm abdomen was an arm-length, blood-red scar—it looked like a fresh wound. Below, his superior V-line was fully exposed.
Lian Xu was dazed, his eyes lingering where they shouldn’t. Even the typical modesty of an Omega was cast aside as he stared directly at the Alpha.
He Yu arched an eyebrow and picked up the bathrobe from the floor but didn’t put it back on.
Instead, he knelt on the bed and flicked open the buttons of Lian Xu’s uniform. “The clothes are dirty. Take them off.”
Lian Xu was blinded by the proximity and lost his reason. Like a porcelain doll, he allowed He Yu to strip him of his uniform and replace it with the bathrobe the Alpha had just worn.
“Does it look good?” He Yu tilted Lian Xu’s chin up. “Compared to your fiancé, who looks better?”
The word “fiancé” suddenly jolted Lian Xu back to reality. He shoved He Yu away.
“Get out.”
He Yu laughed helplessly. “Discarding me after using me? Sister-in-law, you’re too cruel!”
Stained with too much of Yin Zhuo’s pheromones, Lian Xu trembled as he endured the pain they caused him.
Suddenly, he heard He Yu click his tongue.
The Alpha’s body then lunged toward him, pinning him down firmly.
“You’re already so wet. How pitiful!”
“That incompetent husband of yours… he actually resists helping you? Does he not want to, or can he not?”
Lian Xu glared at He Yu with a mix of grievance and anger.
The two Alphas had grown up together and were close enough to share everything. How could He Yu not know what Yin Zhuo was thinking? He was clearly trying to provoke him on purpose.
Lian Xu tried to ignore the hollow words, but the more he tried, the clearer it became how dispensable he was to Yin Zhuo.
The “perfect fiancée” in the eyes of others was likely worth less than a house pet to Yin Zhuo.
And yet, he had to endure it all.
He Yu always liked to stare into Lian Xu’s eyes when speaking. Seeing him so heartbroken sparked a flicker of irritation in the Alpha.
He leaned down and kissed Lian Xu’s lips.
Even in the heat, Lian Xu reacted quickly and dodged.
He Yu only caught the corner of his mouth. He knew it was a soldier’s instinct, yet he was annoyed by the defensive movement Lian Xu reflexively made against him.
“He won’t even spare you a bit of soothing pheromones, not even a drop. Why do you still care for him?”
Yu rose, straddled Lian Xu’s waist, flipped him over to face down, and pressed against him again.
“It’s been a year. Did you miss me? Because I certainly missed you, sister-in-law!”
Lian Xu remained silent, whether because he was too tired to speak or too angry to respond.
“The battlefield is so hard, and there are so many Alphas around. Relying only on suppressants during your heat must be miserable,” He Yu continued. “I really wanted to go to the battlefield to keep a good eye on you for your fiancé!”
Lian Xu kicked at him—a soft, weak effort. He Yu didn’t even feel the pain.
He slowly released his soothing pheromones. The increasingly rich scent of White Camellia enveloped the dazed Omega. Lian Xu felt the gentle touch of the pheromones; the stinging pain began to fade, replaced by a refreshing sensation that flowed into his body like water.
A body that usually rejected all Alpha pheromones wasn’t entirely incapable of receiving external ones.
The White Camellia merged with his Cedar in perfect harmony.
If pheromonal blending is partly dependent on the host’s will, then at this moment, Lian Xu must have lowered his guard toward He Yu, allowing the cunning White Camellia to take its chance.
Sensing that his pheromones were being accepted, He Yu could no longer resist. He pressed his warm lips against the Omega’s gland. As his tongue brushed the slightly swollen area, the person beneath him shuddered violently.
His palm slid under Lian Xu’s abdomen, rubbing slightly lower.
Soothed by the White Camellia, Lian Xu felt as though he had fallen into a soft bed of clouds. Even the sharp anxiety and restlessness in his bones were quietly pacified.
But before long, a completely different scent carrying an irresistible, powerful force suddenly shattered the peace. It wasn’t the warm White Camellia, nor the quiet High-Mountain Cedar.
That fierce scent was like a thin blade unsheathed on a snowy night—a sharp edge frosted with deadly frost that pierced his marrow. However, this chilling aura didn’t last long. It faded, replaced by a surging, nearly scalding tide that completely submerged Lian Xu.
It wasn’t a gentle soothing like before; it was a burning, profound declaration of possession. The Alpha’s domineering pheromones accurately captured the trembling pulse deep within the Omega’s heart, leaving an unignorable mark.
Through a hazy fog, Lian Xu forced his eyes open. In his blurred vision, a tall, slightly disheveled figure watched him like a hungry wolf. The Alpha had flipped him over at some point and was looking down at him with eyes full of dangerous intoxication.
Clarity slowly returned to Lian Xu’s eyes, and his strength followed.
His eyes widened. He pulled his leg back and kicked the Alpha squarely.
Yu caught Lian Xu’s ankle and narrowed his eyes with a smile. “Discarding me right after using me? How heartless.”
“After all, I helped solve your urgent problem. Kicking me like this isn’t very nice, is it?”
Lian Xu bit his lip.
The relief was real. He could honestly say that no suppressant shot had ever been this effective. But… “using him” my foot. Putting aside whether anything actually happened, if He Yu really wanted to help, he could have just given him a suppressant injection. There was no need for this method.
He could see exactly what the “pup” was plotting.
Since the first day he met He Yu, the boy couldn’t hide that naturally seductive scent—or rather, he never bothered to hide it. His flirtatious pheromones were always seeking to please; his wolfish ambitions were clear as day. Only that useless fiancé of his, who only cared about the Cabinet, knew nothing.
Then again, Yin Zhuo’s heart wasn’t on him anyway, so how would he know?
