Forced to Romance the Omega Psychiatrist - Chapter 38
Bai Shuixi smiled, straightening up to look at Xia You.
“What?” Xia You glanced at her.
“Nothing.” Bai Shuixi’s gaze inadvertently swept over Xia You’s lips, and for some inexplicable reason, she suddenly felt the urge to kiss her.
The atmosphere was just right, and Bai Shuixi saw no reason to hold back. She casually reached out and peeled off the pheromone suppressant patch behind Xia You’s neck, tossing it aside before giving in to instinct and capturing Xia You’s lips in a kiss. “Let’s go to the inner lounge,” she murmured.
The original owner’s office wasn’t just spacious and lavishly decorated it was also fully equipped with all sorts of indulgences for relaxation and pleasure, flaunting extravagance without shame.
Bai Shuixi hadn’t used the lounge since she started working at Tianyin, but now, with Xia You dazed from the kiss, she guided her inside without resistance.
“You want pheromones, right?”
As the door closed, Bai Shuixi pressed Xia You against the wall in the dimly lit lounge, her voice soft.
Xia You hesitated for a moment before nodding. “Yeah.”
Bai Shuixi let out a quiet, ambiguous chuckle. “Alright.”
With that, a faint trace of alpha pheromones drifted into the air, light and familiar, a scent Xia You had secretly reminisced about many times.
Xia You inhaled softly, but then paused, tilting her head in confusion as if sensing something off.
Before she could react, her soothed glands began to warm, a physiological response bringing unbidden tears to her eyes. Her breathing quickened slightly.
“What’s wrong?” Bai Shuixi feigned innocence, as if she truly intended to do nothing more than hold Xia You.
Xia You struggled to gather her thoughts for a couple of seconds, still feeling something wasn’t right. She clutched Bai Shuixi’s shirt helplessly, only to quickly let go when she remembered how absurdly expensive it was. “B-Bai Shuixi,” she whispered, “something feels off. I don’t feel well.”
Bai Shuixi, who had her face buried in Xia You’s neck, chuckled again but maintained her composed act. “Really? Maybe it’s not enough pheromones then. How about now? Better?”
The alpha pheromones in the air thickened slightly, the light fragrance now carrying a hint of sweetness. Xia You instinctively craved it, yet her nose barely caught the scent only her glands reacted intensely, hyperaware of Bai Shuixi’s presence.
The teasing, elusive sensation burned through her, leaving her breath hot and her rationality frayed.
“I can’t smell it.” Xia You was on the verge of tears, fingers twisting into Bai Shuixi’s clothes. “I can’t smell it.”
“Should I give you more?” Bai Shuixi turned her head to kiss Xia You, whose thoughts were already muddled. Though her tone was polite, her actions left no room for refusal.
Bai Shuixi’s pheromones enveloped Xia You’s glands gently, soothing the earlier discomfort but still leaving her disoriented. The inability to properly scent the pheromones despite feeling their effects only added to Xia You’s unease.
Dazed and helpless, Xia You accepted the kiss, though her expression still betrayed lingering discomfort.
Bai Shuixi gently nibbled on Xia You’s lips while murmuring indistinctly, “How about now? Is this enough?”
Xia You didn’t respond, seemingly already dazed by Bai Shuixi’s kisses.
After passively enduring the discomfort for a while, Xia You suddenly remembered something. Gasping urgently for breath, she reached up to undo the buttons of her blouse.
When she entered the company earlier, to avoid arousing suspicion from colleagues, she had sprayed herself heavily with pheromone blockers. Some had inevitably gotten on her clothes, practically marinating them in the scent.
Upon entering the restroom, Bai Shuixi had only removed her inhibitor patch without addressing the blockers on her clothes.
The residual blockers on her clothing dulled her senses, obstructing Bai Shuixi’s pheromones, of course she could only catch faint, elusive whiffs.
Torn between these fragmented sensations and Bai Shuixi’s kisses, Xia You felt utterly miserable, desperate to escape this predicament, nearly beyond caring about anything else.
Her soft fingertips reached the collar, quickly undoing two buttons. The smooth, graceful lines of her collarbones were revealed, with glimpses of pale, soft curves beneath the parted fabric. As Xia You’s hands moved downward, they were caught by a cool grasp.
The slender, delicate hand was unexpectedly firm, decisively stopping Xia You’s movements, leaving the open collar exposed to the air.
“Didn’t you say you only wanted pheromones?”
Bai Shuixi, who held grudges fiercely leaned down to silence Xia You with another kiss. Alternating between teasing closeness and distance, she made Xia You crave more contact while deliberately restraining her hands, preventing her from removing the uncomfortable blouse. In a low voice, she asked:
“Elder sister, what exactly are you doing now?”
Xia You paused, her ears instantly flushing red. Her lowered eyelashes trembled violently, her unsteady breathing betraying her flustered state.
The pheromones she longed for remained intermittently clear then faint again, the warm touches coming and going. This tantalizing frustration of wanting but not being able to grasp what she desired kept teasing her nerves.
She wanted Bai Shuixi wanted to embrace her, to press close until they could no longer be separated.
“I…” Xia You clutched at Bai Shuixi’s shirt, her voice soft and carrying a barely perceptible tremor when she spoke.
Her instincts still screamed at her to remove that troublesome blouse, to hold Bai Shuixi tight and immerse herself in her scent until their bodies absorbed each other’s warmth, confirming their reality through inseparable closeness.
Of course she knew she shouldn’t act first actively undoing her buttons was mortifying enough. Beyond the shame and embarrassment, panic and resentment welled up.
Hadn’t she already gone this far? Wasn’t this seduction enough? How could Bai Shuixi remain so indifferent, even pressing her for answers. Did she no longer like her?
Bai Shuixi held Xia You’s hand, quietly observing her expression.
Likely still affected by the pheromones, Xia You’s eyes shimmered with unshed tears. Combined with her helpless, anxious gaze, she looked doubly pitiful impossible to harshly criticize.
Bai Shuixi sighed inwardly: She’d probably tormented her enough for today.
Ultimately, this was all Bai Ye’s fault; Xia You had nothing to do with it. Best to just give her some pheromones to soothe her and end things here.
Bai Shuixi took half a step back, slightly reining in her aggressive pheromones. Just as she was about to soften her approach towards Xia You, she was suddenly pulled down by Xia You’s arms wrapping around her neck.
Her lips met something warm and soft. Instinctively, Bai Shuixi’s eyes widened in surprise.
What is the female lead doing?!
For a moment, Bai Shuixi was too stunned to react, frozen in place as she stared blankly at Xia You’s tightly closed eyes. Was Xia You afraid of her or begging her?
Xia You didn’t stop at just kissing Bai Shuixi. She guided Bai Shuixi’s hands to her waist, then cradled the back of Bai Shuixi’s head, pulling her closer. With downcast eyes, she spoke in a small, shame-laced voice, her tone so pitiful it bordered on pleading:
“Bai Shuixi… I don’t feel good, Help me.”
“……”
Caught off guard and plunged into this tender embrace, Bai Shuixi swallowed reflexively. Her hands on Xia You’s waist moved without thought, squeezing aimlessly as something in her mind seemed to explode.
This reaction, probably couldn’t be explained by Xia You being afraid of her.
The buttons of her shirt continued to come undone, the smooth silk fabric soon slipping to the floor ridding Xia You of the obstruction she despised. As the scent she loved filled her senses, Xia You’s expression grew dazed. Her fingers twitched slightly as she murmured:
“Bai Shuixi…”
“……”
Countless thoughts flashed through Bai Shuixi’s mind her carefully laid plans, the occasionally nagging system, even the dull monotony of her life before transmigrating. But when she lifted her head, her vision held nothing but Xia You.
The shirt had been discarded, leaving the black lace of her bra stark against her fair, translucent skin so breathtaking it stole the air from one’s lungs.
The dazed Omega in front of her didn’t seem the least bit afraid of being tricked, calling her name with nothing but trust.
“……”
Bai Shuixi didn’t know if others could resist, but she certainly couldn’t.
Whatever consequences awaited could be dealt with later!
A single door separated two spaces with entirely different atmospheres.
He Jiu, having just finished tracking the progress of two projects, knocked and entered Bai Shuixi’s office to report on Xu Chuan’s latest movements. To her surprise, the room was empty.
After a brief pause, He Jiu recalled that Xia You had entered earlier without leaving. Realization dawned, and with perfect discretion, she turned and exited, even tactfully shooing away the secretary who had been about to follow her in to report.
Inside the lounge, Bai Shuixi, momentarily overwhelmed, lost control and thoroughly indulged herself.
By the time she pulled away from Xia You, any trace of fierceness had melted away. Left with no choice, she leaned down in her usual rogue-like manner and pressed a kiss to Xia You’s lips, attempting to smooth things over with a coaxing tone:
“Jiejie!”
In the past, whenever she called Xia You “jiejie,” it was usually to tease her or to manipulate the plot never with sincerity.
This was the first time she’d used it to placate someone, and the guilt was undeniable.
Xia You, still in a daze, tilted her head up to respond. The kiss was so tender and forgiving that Bai Shuixi almost felt as though no matter what misdeeds she committed, Xia You would always forgive her and she’d still be welcomed back with a kiss this gentle.
Savoring the sweetness between them, Bai Shuixi couldn’t help but sigh inwardly in resignation.
No wonder the female lead could drive so many people mad hurting her while obsessively declaring their love for her.
This personality of hers was practically inviting others to treat her poorly.
Especially since most characters around her weren’t exactly normal to begin with. With such indulgence, it was no surprise they went insane.
The thought flickered through Bai Shuixi’s mind and vanished just as quickly. She sat up slightly, glancing at Xia You, who clearly hadn’t recovered yet. After a moment’s thought, she reached out and gently stroked Xia You’s hair, murmuring, “I’ll go check outside. There’s still a meeting this afternoon. You rest here, I’ll handle everything out there.”
Xia You shifted, burying half her face into the pillow, and let out a soft “Mm.”
Bai Shuixi paused, then smiled silently, charmed by Xia You’s shy little gesture. The lingering frustration she’d felt since their last encounter eased slightly.
Leaning down, Bai Shuixi picked up the clothes she had discarded earlier and was about to fetch spare ones from the lounge when Xia You suddenly grabbed her wrist.
Bai Shuixi turned back in surprise. “What is it?”
Xia You hesitated, lips pressed together as if struggling with embarrassment. After a long pause, she finally spoke softly, eyes fixed on her own hair. “ I don’t just see you as a bed partner to help me through my heat.”
What?
If not just a bed partner, then what else?
Bai Shuixi froze.
Could it be that the female lead had developed some unwarranted attachment to her, the villain?
Her gaze lingered on Xia You.
Though she had always been vaguely dissatisfied with Xia You’s insistence on maintaining their original arrangement, rationally, she knew it was the right thing to do.
Yet at this moment, emotion overrode reason.
Before her mind could weigh the pros and cons, Bai Shuixi felt a distinct pause in her chest, a quiet stirring in some hidden corner.
But before she could react, Xia You suddenly pushed her away.
It seemed that speaking those words had drained all her courage. Avoiding Bai Shuixi’s gaze, she hastily let go of her wrist. “Y-You should go to your meeting. I’m tired, I want to rest for a bit.”
Bai Shuixi was silent for a moment before pressing a hand to her chest.
Unlike the punishment of shared sensation, this subtle stirring wasn’t unpleasant yet it filled her with an inexplicable panic.
She would rather face pain.
She wasn’t afraid of pain, nor did she care about it. But this unfamiliar sensation gave her the vague feeling that something was slipping out of control. For the first time, Bai Shuixi found herself unwilling to examine something too closely.
Frowning, she pondered for a while before suddenly leaning down to press a kiss to the tip of Xia You’s ear, lingering there. “Jiejie,” she murmured, voice soft. “If I’m not just a bed partner then what am I?”
Xia You, pretending to sleep, immediately flushed red but stubbornly kept still, playing the ostrich.
Bai Shuixi watched her flustered reaction, the corner of her mouth lifting unconsciously. Only belatedly did she realize her mood had improved. Finally, she let out a quiet sigh of relief.
So, it was about control after all. That strange feeling must have just been her dislike for losing the upper hand.
Neither the gradually deviating original plot nor the looming mission overhead were real problems. Between her and Xia You, she should be the one controlling the pace.
