Forced to Live Together After Picking Up the Child of My Rival Alpha - Chapter 29.1
Song Yuan felt deeply moved, helpless, and at a loss.
Luoluo was still young and had limited energy. After playing with Yu Jin for a while after dinner, she began to feel sleepy.
She rubbed her eyes and let out a big yawn.
Yu Jin noticed Luoluo’s actions. “Luoluo’s tired?”
Luoluo nodded her little head. Upon hearing this, Song Yuan slowly approached Luoluo.
“Then let Mommy get you washed up so you can go to sleep, okay?”
“Okay,” Luoluo agreed.
After washing up, Song Yuan brought Luoluo back to her room and tucked her in.
It was already quite late. After leaving the bedroom, Song Yuan went over to Yu Jin.
“Miss Yu, could you come with me for a moment?”
Yu Jin followed her, and the two went to the bathroom. Song Yuan handed Yu Jin a new towel, explained a few things about the bathroom supplies, and then left to return to the bedroom.
The bathroom door closed, and soon the sound of running water could be heard.
Forty minutes later, there was a knock on the bedroom door.
Song Yuan walked over and opened the door. Outside stood Yu Jin, wearing only a loose white shirt that barely covered her hips.
Her hair was still wet, leaving patches of water stains on her shirt. Parts of the fabric clung to her skin, revealing glimpses of her body.
Yu Jin’s skin was naturally fair, but now, fresh from the bath, her face was flushed with a rosy hue, like a ripe apple that made one want to take a bite.
A drop of water trickled down her collarbone, tracing a path along her skin.
Song Yuan uncomfortably lowered her gaze, only to be met with a pair of long, pale legs.
“Ahem,” Song Yuan felt extremely awkward and raised her head, her eyes darting away. “It’s so late, Miss Yu. Is there something you need?”
Yu Jin leaned in close to Song Yuan’s ear, her voice low.
“Song Yuan, I can’t hold back my heat cycle anymore.”
A warm breath brushed against Song Yuan’s ear, sending a tingling sensation rushing through her. Her legs went weak, and she nearly stumbled.
“I need a contracted Alpha with compatible pheromones to help me.” Yu Jin had no intention of letting Song Yuan off. She reached out, her slender, pale fingers sliding down Song Yuan’s throat.
“Song Yuan, I need you.”
Song Yuan froze in place. As soon as she regained her senses, she tried to turn and run.
Noticing her attempt, Yu Jin’s eyes darkened. She grabbed Song Yuan firmly and pinned her against the wall.
Just as Song Yuan was about to urge Yu Jin to be rational, Yu Jin closed the distance between them.
Something soft and warm pressed against Song Yuan’s lips Yu Jin had kissed her outright.
But it felt less like a kiss and more like a fierce bite.
With the wall behind her, Song Yuan had no way to escape and could only endure passively.
After a moment, just as Song Yuan felt she was running out of breath, Yu Jin pulled back slightly.
Their noses brushed against each other. Song Yuan looked disheveled, her chest heaving uncontrollably.
A cool, subtle fragrance began to permeate the air Yu Jin’s pheromones.
Song Yuan pushed Yu Jin away slightly. “I’ve never been with anyone! Miss Yu, isn’t this too fast? I’m not prepared at all. Shouldn’t you think this over?”
Yu Jin let out a cold laugh and swore for the first time.
“Bullshit!”
She and Song Yuan already had a child together! If Song Yuan had never been with anyone, then what was Luoluo?
“Miss Yu, please calm down. I… Mmm…”
Before Song Yuan could finish her sentence, Yu Jin kissed her again.
Faced with such a stunning beauty repeatedly tempting her, who could possibly resist?
Song Yuan couldn’t help but respond to Yu Jin. Her hands had unknowingly found their way to Yu Jin’s back, pulling her tightly into an embrace.
Their movements grew somewhat intense. Luoluo, who had just fallen asleep and hadn’t yet sunk into deep slumber, was awakened by the commotion. She sat up in bed, covering her eyes with her little fingers and murmuring softly.
“Oh, Mommy and Mama, so embarrassing.”
Hearing Luoluo’s voice, Song Yuan froze, her rationality returning slightly. She pushed Yu Jin away abruptly, breathing heavily.
“Luoluo, she’s just a child. She shouldn’t see this.”
Caught off guard, Yu Jin was shoved away. Before she could fully process Song Yuan’s words, she saw Song Yuan dart toward the bed, scoop up Luoluo, and quickly carry her to another bedroom.
After settling Luoluo in bed, Song Yuan sat stiffly on the edge, her heart pounding wildly.
“Mommy,” Luoluo leaned close to Song Yuan, her cheeks flushed and eyes sparkling brightly. “I saw Mommy kissing Mama. Kissing means Mommy loves Mama.”
Song Yuan forced her mind away from what had just happened. She gently pressed Luoluo down, tucking her under the covers, and avoided directly responding to the child’s remark.
“Luoluo, weren’t you tired earlier? Hurry up and sleep,” she said vaguely, trying to brush it off.
Though too excited to sleep at first, exhaustion from the long day soon overwhelmed Luoluo, and she drifted off.
Gazing at Luoluo’s peacefully sleeping face, Song Yuan lingered in the room, too afraid to leave. A beauty like Yu Jin could have anyone she wanted, why would she suddenly choose her? Was it because Song Yuan knew about Yu Jin and that Enigma, making her the most suitable candidate?
Now Yu Jin was still in the other room, and they had to meet again tomorrow. How awkward would that be? And they still had to promote their CP in the future, how was she supposed to face Yu Jin after this?
Song Yuan sat rigidly by the bed, her emotions churning like stormy waves.
After what felt like an eternity, her phone vibrated twice. Picking it up, she saw a message from Yu Jin:
Come here within five minutes, or face the consequences.
Song Yuan truly couldn’t predict whether she could handle those consequences. She stood up, took a deep breath, mentally prepared herself as if heading to the execution ground, and walked to Yu Jin’s room.
Yu Jin sat on the bed, her eyes flashing with irritation when she saw Song Yuan hesitating at the doorway.
“Come here.”
Feeling awkward and resistant, Song Yuan protested, “This isn’t appropriate.”
Yu Jin’s expression darkened instantly. “I said come here.”
Seeing Yu Jin’s anger, Song Yuan finally took a step forward, approaching her slowly. As she walked, she tried to console herself internally:
Song Yuan, Song Yuan, with a beauty like Yu Jin, being with her isn’t a loss. Maybe you can reason with her perhaps she’ll suddenly come to her senses and decide she doesn’t need you after all.
By the time she reached Yu Jin’s side, Song Yuan was staring at her pitifully.
“I’ve told you before, I don’t want anyone to know I’m an Omega. Right now, my body can’t handle repeated inhibitor injections. Our pheromones are compatible, and you know my situation. I need your help.”
After leaving the hospital earlier, Yu Jin had considered this issue. Song Yuan was Luoluo’s mother, and they had been intimate before. Moreover, Song Yuan had already learned part of what happened five years ago from Liu Man, so choosing Song Yuan to help her was quite fitting.
But Yu Jin never expected Song Yuan to be so uncooperative.
“Miss Yu, why don’t you think it over again?”
Song Yuan could understand why Yu Jin didn’t want others to know she had become an Omega, but why did it have to be her?
“Miss Yu, look at you so beautiful, so popular, what kind of Alpha couldn’t you find?”
“And you should know, people online are always slandering me. No matter what I do, I easily get linked to other female celebrities, and I’m constantly surrounded by rumors.”
Song Yuan kept rambling on, her words implying over and over that she wanted Yu Jin to find someone else.
It was Song Yuan who had turned her into this state, and now Yu Jin wanted her help, yet Song Yuan was refusing in every possible way.
Yu Jin had always been a person with strong self-esteem. Now, having taken the initiative to ask for intimacy only to be rejected, she felt deeply humiliated and somewhat wronged.
Furious, she snapped, “Song Yuan, you really don’t know how to appreciate kindness!”
Since Song Yuan was unwilling, why should she subject herself to such humiliation here?
Yu Jin stood up and pushed Song Yuan aside, preparing to leave. Song Yuan’s hand moved faster than her mind, and she grabbed Yu Jin’s wrist.
“Where are you going?”
Yu Jin glanced at Song Yuan’s hand gripping hers, her expression cold and stern.
“To the hospital, of course!”
Hearing that Yu Jin was going to the hospital, Song Yuan didn’t let go. Her expression was complicated, and after hesitating for a few seconds, she said quietly, “I’ll take you.”
Yu Jin was clearly in her heat cycle, and Song Yuan wasn’t comfortable letting her go to the hospital alone.
“Suit yourself.”
As she spoke, Yu Jin exerted a little force, shaking off Song Yuan’s hand, and then strode out of the room.
Seeing this, Song Yuan hurriedly followed. After locking the door outside, she went downstairs with Yu Jin.
In the car, Yu Jin felt her body growing hotter and hotter. A fire seemed to ignite deep within her, as if it could consume her completely at any moment.
The rich scent of an Omega filled the air. Yu Jin lay in the back seat, unconsciously tugging at her clothes, letting out low moans.
So, hot.
The Omega’s pheromones also affected Song Yuan, whose body began to heat up as well.
She thought to herself, This is bad. At this rate, Yu Jin probably wouldn’t make it to the hospital.
Helpless, Song Yuan pulled over to the side of the road, took out her phone, and called the doctor.
She had saved this number during her last visit to the hospital. Three seconds later, the call connected.
Before the other person could speak, Song Yuan blurted out anxiously, “Dr. Chen, it’s Song Yuan. Yu Jin is in heat now. What should I do? Should I give her an inhibitor? But I only have ordinary inhibitors in the car.”
Hearing that Yu Jin was in heat again, Chen Man’s tone was grave, carrying a hint of urgency.
“No, ordinary inhibitors won’t have any effect on her now.”
Beads of sweat formed on Song Yuan’s forehead, her worry and anxiety mounting. “But given Yu Jin’s current state, I’m afraid she won’t last until we reach the hospital.”
When buying the house, Song Yuan had deliberately avoided the city center for the sake of privacy, but now she regretted it. If her home had been closer to downtown and the hospital, she wouldn’t be facing this situation.
“You know perfectly well about Yu Jin’s condition! How could you even think about giving her a high-potency inhibitor at a time like this?”
“Song Yuan, let me make this clear even if you bring Yu Jin to me now, I won’t administer the injection. Either you help her through this fever cycle, or you stand by and watch her suffer through it!”
After saying this, Chen Man immediately hung up.
She refused to believe that Song Yuan could remain indifferent now, with Yu Jin in the throes of fever right before her eyes and the truth laid bare.
In the car, Song Yuan stared at the disconnected call, a throbbing pain pulsing at her temples. She pinched the bridge of her nose and glanced at Yu Jin in the back seat.
Yu Jin was already delirious from the fever, occasionally letting out low, pained groans.
“Bastard!”
Song Yuan didn’t know whether Yu Jin was cursing the Enigma who had marked her or referring to her.
Going home now would surely wake Luoluo, and if the child found out, she would undoubtedly worry. With no other options, Song Yuan spotted a nearby hotel, got out of the car, and lifted Yu Jin from the back seat.
To avoid Yu Jin being recognized, Song Yuan draped her own coat over Yu Jin’s head and face, then quickly checked in at the front desk.
By the time Song Yuan carried Yu Jin into the room, Yu Jin had already torn off much of her clothing. The increasingly potent pheromones filled the hotel room the crisp scent of snow cedar now burning through Song Yuan’s nerves and body.
On the bed, Yu Jin twisted restlessly, murmuring under her breath.
“Song Yuan, you bastard.”
Her movements caused the already loose buttons of her shirt to come undone completely, revealing pale, smooth skin.
Song Yuan had been torn between letting Yu Jin endure the fever cycle on her own or following Yu Jin’s earlier wishes and helping her through it.
But as time passed, the pheromones clouded Song Yuan’s mind. The sight of Yu Jin’s exposed skin captivated her gaze.
Desire darkened Song Yuan’s eyes, and driven by instinct, she unconsciously moved closer to the bed.
She leaned down, approaching Yu Jin, but stopped just short of touching her.
Two voices warred within her.
A little white version of Song Yuan urged restraint: No, Song Yuan, she’s not in her right mind. Taking advantage of her now would be wrong.
A little black version of Song Yuan tempted her: How is it taking advantage? Yu Jin wanted your help all along. Don’t hesitate, go for it!
Song Yuan felt as if she were split in two reason holding her back, instinct urging her on.
Sweat beaded on her forehead. Just as she wavered, uncertain, the person beneath her made the choice for her.
A pair of slender arms wrapped around Song Yuan’s neck, and what little reason she had left quickly faded. The thread of restraint in her mind snapped.
She leaned down and closed the distance between them.
