- Forced to Act out a Strange Script with a Rival
- Chapter 29 - Let's Watch a Movie. How could Li Ting, someone so particular about personal space, possibly...
The lock clicked softly, completely cutting off the warm, yellow light from the hallway and any potential prying eyes from outside.
The entire room instantly plunged into a deeper darkness. The only light source left was the cold, focused beam from the projector, illuminating the huge screen like a dim stage.
And on the screen, in the silently flowing images, a woman’s tangled hair, her hazy eyes, her slightly rising and falling chest…
In this intentionally created privacy and darkness, the sexual tension was magnified infinitely. Every frame seemed to carry a tiny electric current, silently stimulating the viewer’s nerves.
After closing the door, Li Ting walked towards the sofa. Since the sofa was a standard hotel two-seater,
designed to create opportunities for intimate cuddling between couples, it wasn’t very large. Especially for two tall female celebrities like her and Si Xiaoxiao, the space felt somewhat cramped.
The moment Li Ting turned around, Si Xiaoxiao realized Li Ting was also going to sit down. She quickly, and with a hint of eagerness, shrank into the corner by the wall’s armrest.
She tried to curl herself up, placing her injured foot carefully on the edge of the sofa. Si attempted to pull away from Li Ting, exuding an air of “don’t come near me” boundary-setting.
Li Ting glanced at her, her amber eyes appearing particularly deep under the cold light of the screen. Her face still maintained the gentle smile that Si Xiaoxiao called a “green tea face,” as if the embarrassment of being caught watching the film had never happened.
She sat down in the spot Si Xiaoxiao had vacated, expressionlessly picked up the remote control from the coffee table, and with a light press of her finger, the paused image began to flow again. The captivating heroine once more lazily twisted her hair, looking hazily toward the camera.
The subtle rustling of clothes, the faint and deliberately suppressed sounds of panting, echoed clearly through the silent room via the Bluetooth speaker connected to the projector, tapping against taut nerves one after another.
Li Ting seemed completely unaffected by the film, and even spoke to provoke Si Xiaoxiao: “Why are you isolating yourself so far away from me, my dear fellow—stu—dent?”
Her clear, older-sister voice was especially distinct in the quiet room, the slight upward lift at the end of the sentence filled with challenge.
Especially the last three syllables, enunciated clearly, sounded like an outright declaration of war!
Si Xiaoxiao was choked, her forced composure instantly ignited into anger and a sense of embarrassed exposure.
She snapped her head up, her cat-like eyes wide, returning Li Ting’s gaze defiantly, attempting to overwhelm the other with a fiercer demeanor.
“How could I be!”
“Then prove your openness and professionalism, Teacher Xiaoxiao.” Li Ting’s voice was soft, but her articulation was exceptionally clear.
Si Xiaoxiao’s gaze swept over the patch of space she had deliberately left empty in the middle of the sofa. A bold thought, tinged with a ‘what the heck’ attitude, rushed into her mind.
—Comparing candidness? Who’s afraid of who!!
She followed suit in her defiance, also trying hard to appear unreserved, and patted her pale thigh.
The sound of her skin meeting her palm was unusually loud in the silence, carrying a hint of masochistic pain, and felt slightly out of place in such an ambiguous environment.
“Here!” Si Xiaoxiao’s voice rose, striving to maintain a righteous tone, though she dared not look directly at Li Ting anymore, staring instead at the captivating woman on the screen: “This spot is for you. Do you dare to sit?”
As she finished speaking, her heart was already racing uncontrollably, and her cheeks felt faintly hot. She could only hope the darkness of the room would conceal it all.
She was betting Li Ting wouldn’t dare!
How could Li Ting, someone so particular about boundaries, possibly…
“Are you stupid?” As expected, Li Ting scoffed almost immediately, her tone filled with undisguised contempt, as if Si Xiaoxiao had suggested something extremely idiotic.
Then, very naturally, and with a hint of casual laziness, she shifted her body slightly, and then plunked herself down firmly onto Si Xiaoxiao’s lap.
Si Xiaoxiao was caught off guard. Her body sank sharply under the sudden weight, and the sofa let out a faint sound of protest.
A heavy, warm, and soft sensation came from her thigh, terrifyingly clear through the thin sleep dress.
The clean, pleasant scent of cedar wood shower gel on Li Ting, mixed with the fresh moisture from her recent shower, instantly wrapped around her aggressively, infiltrating her nasal cavity and rushing straight to her brain, making her almost question her sanity: “? Didn’t you say you weren’t going to sit?”
Li Ting had already adjusted her posture. She even leaned back slightly, settling her body more comfortably into the “human cushion” formed between Si Xiaoxiao’s legs and the back of the sofa.
She turned her head, her amber eyes, reflected in the cold light of the screen, twinkling with a cunning and matter-of-fact brilliance. A nearly roguish, cold smile played on her lips: “I never said I wouldn’t sit.”
“???”
The words were out, and they were irreversible. Si Xiaoxiao could only ignore her wildly hammering heart and the weight on her lap. She took a deep breath, trying to straighten her back and maintain the high ground of “I’m here for professional commentary.”
She forced her gaze to lock onto the giant projection screen, as if salvation were written there.
“Watch… watch the film! Focus! We’re here to critique the acting!” She practically shouted, her voice carrying a trace of imperceptible tremble, attempting to use volume to dispel the suffocating ambiguity and the strong presence brought by the physical contact between them.
On the screen, the plot was heating up.
The scene cut to a more private space. The light and shadow were suggestive, and the music became sensuous and lingering.
The distance between the two female protagonists narrowed, their eyes locked, their breathing audible.
Si Xiaoxiao hadn’t seen the preceding plot. On one hand, she genuinely wanted to know what was going on. On the other, she wanted to break the silence and make the atmosphere less awkward: “What on earth is this acting about? What happened earlier?”
“I think they started dating?” Li Ting, who had seen the earlier part of the film, gave a very irresponsible answer.
“? Huh? You watched it for that long and only figured out this much?” Si Xiaoxiao felt Li Ting was just brushing her off.
Li Ting sighed and patiently started explaining the plot to Si Xiaoxiao: “A Scent/Guide plus Cyberpunk background. It mainly tells the story of a Golden Patron teaching her Canary what love is. The early stage is the Canary seducing the Golden Patron to satisfy desires, and the later stage is the Golden Patron teaching the Canary what love is.”
“What does ‘Teddy becoming a spirit’ mean…” Si Xiaoxiao blinked, asking a question that showed her true colors.
“Sex addiction,” Li Ting uttered two words, instantly plunging the atmosphere into an awkward freeze.
Si Xiaoxiao took a sharp breath.
The image changed. One of them reached out, her fingertips tracing the other’s face with tentative longing, like a feather, extremely slowly, gliding along the jawline, down to the sensitive neck, and finally pausing at the slight hollow of the collarbone.
“This, at least, is shot quite aesthetically,” she commented sheepishly.
Li Ting had already adjusted her posture. She even leaned back slightly, settling her body more comfortably into the “human cushion” formed between Si Xiaoxiao’s legs and torso: “The layering of the Patron’s gaze here is handled very well. From testing, to confirmation, to feeling certain… The expression of desire is restrained but full of tension.”
Compared to Si Xiaoxiao’s dry comments, Li Ting’s critique was much more insightful.
“Mmm…” Si Xiaoxiao flinched almost imperceptibly, as if scalded, letting out a muffled response from her throat.
Outside the screen, Si Xiaoxiao was on pins and needles, feeling uncomfortable. On the screen, the two actresses were performing passionately.
The touched heroine, as if ignited, let out a suppressed, lust-tinged gasp. She abruptly reached out, hooked the other’s neck, and actively offered her lips.
Immediately following, the scene cut to a close-up, and an extremely lingering, sensually charged kiss was magnified on the screen.
Lips and tongues intertwined, breaths mingled. Light and shadow flowed over their overlapping figures, maximizing the rendering of craving and surrender.
Si Xiaoxiao’s heart was pounding fast. Her mind echoed with the kiss from the system’s script, and the “task” she desperately wanted to forget once again flashed clearly into her mind.
The strange heat deep within her body, like a lit wildfire, instantly spread. She could even feel the muscles on the inside of her thighs twitching uncontrollably. The skin pressed against Li Ting’s body was alarmingly hot.
A strong, utterly unfamiliar throb rose from the depths of her lower abdomen, spreading through her limbs like an electric current.
It’s all Li Ting’s fault. It’s all Li Ting’s mistake.
The weight on her leg suddenly increased. Si Xiaoxiao glanced at Li Ting in her embrace. Her expression was no longer calm; instead, agony had crept onto it, as if she were enduring some unbearable torture.
Si Xiaoxiao could even feel Li Ting’s hand, placed at her side, clenching the sofa armrest tightly, her knuckles white with effort.
Something seemed wrong…
Si Xiaoxiao suddenly looked at Li Ting’s ankle, the same place where she herself was injured. It was bent unnaturally, with a slight tremor.
It’s the shared sensation… It must be that her heart rate exceeded 120…
Since it was a punishment, and Li Ting was showing such distress, the system must have amplified the pain.
Si Xiaoxiao’s heart began to swell strangely. She actually felt a hint of pleasure, a sense of gratification that she had managed to get back at Li Ting.
She couldn’t stand the perpetually calm Li Ting; she secretly longed for her to lose control.
Remember, this pain, I brought it to you.
“Si Xiaoxiao, can your heart stop beating?” Li Ting’s gentle facade finally cracked. Sweat plastered her hair to her skin. Clearly, the shared sensation didn’t just include pain; some other physiological responses were also affecting her, and seemingly in an amplified version.
“If my heart stops, I’ll die!” Si Xiaoxiao almost yelled back, her voice tinged with the shame of being exposed and a desperate, aggressive attitude.
The two were at loggerheads, yet their bodies were intertwined, like the most intimate people under the sun.
