For the One Who Hates Me - Chapter 65
Karl was frozen like a statue. Aura just blinked. She had so many memories that she didn’t know where to start.
“Yes, the sunlight. The sunlight was beautiful that day.” Aura placed her hand on the middle of Karl’s left arm. “When you asked the first question, the sunlight was here.”
Next, it was his right shoulder. “And when I made the promise, it was here.”
For a moment, it was as if that day was replaying in front of Karl’s eyes. The sunlight is pouring into the library. Aura, smiling at him.
The young Karl reached out his hand to the young Aura. He held her. He held her tightly. And the current Karl also held Aura. Aura could feel his heart beating against her chest. It was pounding so fast and so powerfully.
Aura gently hugged him back.
“I told you. You are special.”
There was a time she had revealed her true feelings to him, using her sickness as an excuse. It was the only way she could do it. It was cowardly, but she had planned to leave those feelings behind and pretend they never happened. But in the end, everything had completely fallen apart.
“So… Don’t forget that, Karl.” Even if I’m not here.
Aura stroked Karl’s face. Karl leaned in and kissed her. Their lips met, and their tongues intertwined. After a series of soft and careful movements, Karl said, “Let’s go down.”
“…”
“Let’s forget about the hunting festival.”
He wanted her. Aura just looked at him and kissed him again. She delved into his mouth, pulling him closer to the bed. Her intention was clear, even if she didn’t say it. Here. Do it here.
Karl took her hands and pulled back slightly. He asked, his eyes filled with a mix of desire and confusion, “Are you serious?”
Aura pulled the navy curtain next to the bed in one motion. The lodge was now shrouded in a bluish darkness.
“The hunting festival has just begun. And we are…”
“…”
“…partners.”
Karl’s Adam’s apple bobbed.
“…Yes. You’re right.”
He gracefully pushed Aura down on the bed. The soft bedding wrapped around her body.
Karl plunged his face into the nape of her neck, his breath hot. He unbuttoned her riding shirt one by one. His hand slipped inside the shirt and gently cupped her breast.
“Mmm…”
Aura wrapped her arms around his back. A gentle but hot pleasure spread through her body. At the touch on her breast, Aura hugged him tighter. Why couldn’t she be indifferent to his touch?
“Your body temperature… Your body temperature is too high,” Aura whispered, her voice melting. Karl kissed her cheek. “Whose? Mine?”
She was about to say yes. But then his hand went inside her riding pants. It was a different feeling than his hand in her skirt. It somehow made her belly tingle and felt like fire was spreading through her body. Aura shook her head.
“No. Both of… both of us.”
Karl let out a small laugh. “If it’s both of us, then it’s fine.”
He entered her mouth. And with one motion, he took off her pants and underwear.
“!”
Aura flinched as her lower body was suddenly exposed. Karl ran his hand down her thigh as if to tell her not to. His hand pressing on her soft skin felt as if it was spreading to the inside of her body.
“Ah… haa…” Aura moaned between their kisses. Wherever his hand touched, a hot warmth remained. Karl asked in a low voice, “Are you cold?”
“No… no.” Aura even shook her head as if to say she was fine. Karl kissed her one last time and spread her legs. Aura shivered at the sudden chill. Just as Karl was settling himself between her legs.
Aura, her eyes dazed, reached out her arms toward him. Karl just stared at her for a moment.
“…Do you want me to hold you?” he asked, as if to confirm.
Aura nodded. He slowly leaned in so she could wrap her arms around him.
The moment Aura hugged his neck, Karl slowly entered her. Was it because it had been a while? Aura bit her lip at the sensation of him parting her.
“Ugh…”
“Does it hurt?” Aura shook her head again. It was more overwhelming than it was painful. Karl kissed the corner of her eye, which was welling up with tears. When he began to move his hips, Aura’s body began to thrum.
“Ah! …Ah!”
Aura tried to bite her lip as she usually did but decided against it. She didn’t want to hold back anything.
The thrumming in her body turned into pleasure. Karl’s lips often found hers.
“Ah! Aah!” As she no longer held back her moans, his movements became more forceful. With his increasingly strong thrusts, Aura’s vision turned white. Her entire body was being pushed up every time he went deep inside her. Thump. Her head finally hit the headboard.
“…Damn it.” Karl quickly placed his hand on her head to support it. But he couldn’t control his movements once they became so aggressive. His eyes seemed to have a fire in them. He relentlessly drove into her like a man who had lost his mind.
“Haa…! Wait… haa…” Aura panted for air from the overwhelming pleasure. It was as if she had completely given her body over to him. She opened her tightly closed eyes and looked up at him. The moment he met her dazed gaze, Karl stopped.
“…Aura.”
“…Haa, haa…”
“You, too… don’t forget.”
“…”
“That I love you.”
The words sent a sharp pain through Aura’s chest. Aura just smiled without a word and hugged him tighter.
Aura left the lodge alone. She closed the door as carefully as she could. Karl was still asleep inside. Her horse, which had recognized her, shook its head.
“Shhh…” She soothed the horse and untied its reins.
“…Let’s go.”
She got on her horse and headed west. She looked down at her foot and saw that the bandage was still securely wrapped.
After riding for a while, Aura turned her head back. She could see the roof of the lodge in the distance.
She hadn’t just slept with him to create an opportunity to escape. If that was all it was, she would have never opened the door in the first place.
Aura knew that Karl would resent her when he woke up. He might not even forgive her for this day until he died.
But she wanted to remember being in his arms. Karl was special to Aura. She wanted to be this greedy, just one last time. Not as a princess, but as herself.
…I won’t regret this.
Aura looked around carefully as she rode west. She hid in the bushes when she heard footsteps.
Who is it? I’ll wait for them to pass and then go.
Aura peeked out and was surprised. The person was none other than Elise. She was alone, so who knows where Duke Tein had gone.
Elise was walking through the forest as if she were taking a stroll. She seemed happy to be out. Aura hesitated for a moment and then came out of the bushes.
“Lady Elise.”
“…! Your Majesty the Empress?”
Elise saw Aura and quickly dismounted her horse. Aura put a finger to her lips as if to tell her to lower her voice.
“I have something to say. Come over here for a moment.”
Aura also dismounted her horse and went behind the bushes. As soon as Elise followed, Aura said, “If anyone asks you if you saw me, say you didn’t.”
Elise knew that something serious was going on. But she just nodded.
“Yes. I won’t say a word.”
“I’ll come find you when the time is right. I’ll get Finn from you then. Until then, don’t give Finn to anyone… not even to Karl.”
Elise nodded again. Aura smiled faintly and patted Elise’s shoulder.
“…Thank you.”
Just as Aura was about to go back to her horse.
“Your Majesty…”
“Yes?”
“Is that object, Finn, really everything to you?”
Aura paused. She had once said to Elise, ‘Right now, that crystal shard is my everything.’
For some reason, Karl came to her mind. But because of that, Aura said with conviction, “Yes, it is my everything. That will never change.”
Aura steeled herself. She was leaving Karl after doing all of this. Finn had to be her everything.
Aura added, “It’s an object related to Zenia. Does that explain things?”
“Ah, if that’s the case… Yes, Your Majesty. Then I will definitely keep my promise to you.” Elise smiled.
Aura thought her smile was so lovely. She hesitated and then gently hugged Elise.
Aura wished the best for Elise. At least, for Elise.
“…Your Majesty?”
“Yes. Keep your promise.”
“Ah, yes… Your Majesty.”
“And… don’t give up on your goal. See it through to the end.”
“…Yes.”
“I’ll see you again.”
Aura let go of Elise. She then grabbed her horse’s reins and started heading west again.
Elise stared blankly at her back.
Ruan was standing near the western entrance of Hunt Mountain. He had knocked out the soldiers guarding the entrance a while ago. The problem was that Aura was nowhere to be found.
He nervously and anxiously looked at the entrance.
I hope no one caught her. Or she didn’t change her mind and decide to stay with the Emperor. He bit his lip. Just thinking about it made his heart heavy. It felt like his momentary lapse in judgment that got him kicked out of the palace was a huge mistake.
Just then.
“Ruan.”
A familiar voice. And the only person who would call him ‘Ruan’ in this place. Aura appeared at the entrance to the forest.
“Aura!”
