More than a decade ago, An Ji and Yu Junye starred together in a classic television drama, earning them the title of a “National CP” popular onscreen couple. However, the two never collaborated again after that project. Whenever the cast and crew gathered, one of them was always missing. Even though people occasionally saw them hugging and exchanging affectionate glances on set, rumors persisted in the industry that they were on bad terms. Gossip claimed they were dissatisfied with each other’s star billing and treatment acting like lovers on screen while treating each other like strangers in real life.
Whenever nosy reporters ran into either of them, they would relentlessly hound the actress for news about the other and ask if they would ever work together again.

That was until the nostalgic wave of classic TV cast reunions swept through in successive tides, finally bringing the two women back onto the same stage.
During the walk-down-memory-lane segment, Yu Junye took An Ji’s hand and said solemnly, “When we were filming, I kept thinking: Why does a person marry a wife and bring her home? Surely it isn’t just to have someone look after your daily meals and chores. It must be to cherish her, love her, watch the mortal world’s brilliant fireworks together, hold hands, and spend the rest of our lives side by side…”
The entire audience erupted into screams.
