Falling After Marriage - Chapter 92
Chapter 92: A Night of Drunken Dreams and Deathly Bliss
In a room where you couldn’t see your own hand in front of your face, every tiny movement in the world was magnified.
Two silhouettes, entwined and lingering, exhaled breaths that were damp, hot, and hurried. The rustle of fabric rubbing against skin created an itch in the ears, sounding more like ambiguous whispers.
Cheng Sangluo’s eyes were blindfolded by the necktie. In the pitch black, she relied entirely on her senses to seek out Lin Jin’s lips. She probed cautiously, pulling back with a sense of loss whenever she failed to find the kiss she craved.
The “madwoman,” hazy with intoxication, savored the puppy’s foolish expression and suddenly felt playful. She always loved playing a game of hide-and-seek with their lips when the puppy was most moved. Just as the puppy’s trembling lips were about to connect, Lin Jin tilted her head slightly, causing the anxious woman to kiss the air.
After a few rounds of this teasing, someone became as frantic as an ant on a hot griddle, letting out a scorched plea: “Stop playing, okay? I beg you.”
Cheng Sangluo was full of resentment, yet she remained unexpectedly well-behaved. Despite being toyed with, she didn’t dare remove the tie blocking her vision without her “wife’s” command.
“Begging isn’t just about what you say with your mouth…” Lin Jin bit the other end of the tie. She didn’t have to work hard to undo the loose knot. “You have to perform well to get what you want~”
Cheng Sangluo couldn’t stand the intentional provocation; she could only grit her teeth and endure the surge within her. She fumbled in the dark until she found Lin Jin’s shoulders. Her palms slid along that beautiful shoulder line, finally gripping the back of her neck firmly, pulling her forcefully toward herself. “How do you want me to perform? Is a surprise like this not enough to satisfy you?”
Lin Jin leaned into the puppy’s neck with the momentum, saying decisively: “Not enough… I am a greedy person… I will never be satisfied…”
She pressed her fingertips against Cheng Sangluo’s neck, her nails tracing deep lines. Every red mark was a lure of “playing hard to get.” “You clearly know… I like you at night… the ‘bad’ you who doesn’t know their own strength…”
Listening to the heart-scratching sweet talk in the darkness, Cheng Sangluo finally couldn’t help but rip off the necktie, searching frantically for Lin Jin’s deep, dark eyes. Her heart was full of panic; just a brief moment of being unable to meet her gaze had caused a painful sense of longing.
The puppy couldn’t help but marvel in her heart: This feeling is so strange. This woman is right in front of me, so why does not being able to see her create this inexplicable fear of losing her?
She eagerly met those eyes shimmering with faint light and hungrily kissed the wine-flavored lips. “You’re right… I’m not satisfied either… this is a pain that a mere kiss can no longer dissolve…”
With that, Cheng Sangluo grabbed Lin Jin’s waist, intending to turn and dive onto the soft bed, but the sudden sound of knocking at the door ruined the mood.
“President Lin, the hangover soup is ready. May I come in?” Secretary Zhou’s voice came from outside.
Cheng Sangluo reached up to stroke Lin Jin’s slightly flushed face, exhaling helplessly: “Why did you drink so much? Does your head hurt a lot?”
Lin Jin tilted her cheek to feel the puppy’s cool palm, narrowing her eyes comfortably with a faint smile, acting spoiled: “Yes, it hurts so much. I need the puppy to rub it well, otherwise, how can I sleep tonight?”
Cheng Sangluo couldn’t resist the soft-spoken teasing, but she was loath to separate even for a moment. She ended up picking Lin Jin up in a bridal carry and walked quickly to the door. Their intimate embrace was so tight that opening the door was inconvenient.
Cheng Sangluo had to place the clingy Lin Jin against the wall to steady her, whispering: “Be good. I sneaked in here. The security outside is looking everywhere for me. We can’t alert them, or I’ll be taken away.”
The puppy’s tone was adorable. Lin Jin leaned lazily against the wall, teasing with a laugh: “No wonder there are more patrols than usual; they’re trying to catch a runaway puppy. It seems I’ll have to hide you well.”
Cheng Sangluo gave her a resentful look, wanting to pour out all the troubles of her journey to claim some credit. Since Secretary Zhou was still waiting, she pouted piteously, turned, and pulled the door open just a crack.
At first, Zhou Ran couldn’t see who opened the door. Her gaze fell on the hand that took the soup as fast as the wind, and she froze for a second. When her eyes finally landed on Cheng Sangluo’s face, her pupils dilated in shock. She wondered where this person had come from—was the security patrol actually looking for her?
Cheng Sangluo winked at Secretary Zhou, putting a finger to her lips to signal silence. She whispered: “Don’t say a word. Don’t worry, I’ll take good care of your boss tonight.”
“With Miss Cheng here, I’m at ease.” Zhou Ran gave a dry, polite nod and helped close the door, not forgetting to add: “I wish you a beautiful dream tonight.”
Cheng Sangluo brought the soup to Lin Jin, coaxing her gently: “Hurry and drink the hangover soup. I’ll feed you.”
Lin Jin didn’t want her arms to be empty; she leaned in to entwine herself with the puppy, her eyes shining brighter. She leaned close to ask: “Does ‘absence makes the heart grow fonder’ make you this gentle with me?”
The puppy held the spoon to her wife’s mouth, responding with some embarrassment: “Who says it doesn’t?”
The clothes on the floor were more scattered than leaves blown by the night wind, but even messier was the scene on the large bed where they could not bear to part.
Lin Jin arched her neck and lifted her chin, struggling for fresh air, her lips feeling chilled. When she could no longer control her emotions, she held Cheng Sangluo’s head tightly with both hands, mumbling nonsensically: “I didn’t expect… your ‘repressed’ look… to be so lovable… aren’t you best at endurance and restraint? Don’t you like being alone? When did you fall under my spell… to become this lonely after just two days apart…”
Cheng Sangluo arched her tension-filled back, wrapping the slender, soft “madwoman” tightly in her arms. She had long lost her poise in the depth of their kisses; now, silence spoke louder than words of her possession.
That possession manifested as the scattered dark red hickeys on Lin Jin’s body, the hugs that pinned her into corners making the vast bed feel like a boundless ocean, and a paleness that no amount of intimacy could dissolve.
“Do you miss me?” Cheng Sangluo leaned close to Lin Jin’s ear, kissing gently but biting hard—half longing, half resentment. “You don’t know how hard it was for me… the house was empty… the bed was huge… time moved so slowly… you were so far away…”
“And so?” Lin Jin turned her cheek, staring into the puppy’s lonely eyes in the dark. “You finally dare to admit I’m important to you? Didn’t you hate me most? Didn’t you dislike me clinging to you?”
“You won.” Cheng Sangluo admitted in a muffled voice. Her palm covered the back of Lin Jin’s hand, slowly, slowly locking their fingers together. “Just as you said… I’m on your bed… pleasing you…”
This phrase “pleasing you” was a bullet Lin Jin had fired at her heart. It had flown so long and so far, and finally, at this moment, it hit the bullseye.
Lin Jin’s breath hitched, her heartbeat more erratic than ever. Receiving a response brought a heart-fluttering sense of happiness—it was a sudden intensity that was impossible to ward off. She had plotted carefully and waited for a long time, and finally, she had the answer she wanted.
“Sangluo…” Lin Jin’s lips trembled slightly as she instinctively pressed them against the corner of the puppy’s eye in a deep, drunken kiss: “Hurry and please me… let me feel… exactly how much you missed me…”
Cheng Sangluo didn’t immediately respond to her anxious demand. Instead, she raised their interlocked hands and shook them in front of her. Lin Jin tilted her head, confused about what the puppy was doing, but that puzzled look was soon replaced by a drunken, excited smile.
Cheng Sangluo grabbed the necktie from the pillow, wrapping it several times around their wrists, finally tying a knot that couldn’t be undone. She whispered while kissing the back of Lin Jin’s hand: “I hate being apart. So tonight, we can’t be separated. I’ve caught you firmly now, and tied you tightly. You can’t run away even if you wanted to.”
With that, she raised their bound hands high against the headboard and leaned down to kiss Lin Jin’s eyes. “Do you like it? Do you like me being proactive like this? As long as you don’t bully me, I can be even better.”
Lin Jin met her lips, whispering: “You really are so good. Of course, I have to pamper you~”
The devoted wolf received the pampering and all the permission she needed. She was wild without knowing it, drowning in the “gentle village” the madwoman had woven.
The one about to suffocate was Lin Jin. It was incredible to her—this wasn’t the first time they had been intimate, but it felt different from every previous time. Before, the puppy was stingy; there were no tender kisses, and even the hugs felt perfunctory. Tonight, she was as vigorous as ever, but she became cautious and eager to perform well out of concern for Lin Jin’s feelings.
Lin Jin’s head rested in the crook of Cheng Sangluo’s arm. Whenever her brow furrowed, the other would reach out concernedly to rub the tension away. “Did I hurt you?”
“It doesn’t hurt,” Lin Jin shook her head, circling her neck with one hand, coaxing: “I like it.”
“How much do you like it?” Cheng Sangluo asked with a slight smile. Always feeling like she wasn’t holding her tight enough, she would tighten her arms from time to time, pleading: “I want to hold you tighter, but I’m afraid of squeezing you too hard.”
“Do you know why you feel this way?” Lin Jin loved when the puppy spoke from the heart during their passion, especially since tonight’s love wasn’t like a violent storm. Both were savoring the details of their affection, and sweet talk became a part of the joy they never tired of.
“Why?” Cheng Sangluo asked curiously, pressing her nose into the crook of Lin Jin’s neck, sniffing with varying intensity—like a puppy who had memorized its master’s scent. Even though the smell of cedar and body fragrance was branded into her memory, she still marveled at how Lin Jin’s scent always felt fresh.
“Because hugs and kisses can no longer carry your feelings for me,” Lin Jin answered her. She lifted a corner of the quilt, completely burying the puppy into her world, as if hiding a precious gift.
Lin Jin was a realm of fine white snow. The wolf who had been longing for her all day finally ran wild. Buried in the chaos, she smelled the even richer fragrance of cedar. That scent was like a pheromone that catalyzed passion and desire, causing her to kiss the snowy landscape with a prairie-fire intensity.
Cheng Sangluo was like a dragonfly. The lotus after a summer rain was at its fullest. It beckoned her to land on the tip of the small flower, to gather dew and admire the breeze.
Whether the hangover soup hadn’t worked, or the alcohol had soaked through her nerves, or the person who had tried everything to fly to her side was creating a mental blur—Lin Jin stared at the spinning ceiling with half-closed eyes, smiling as if in a drunken dream: “Darling, you admit you like me… so when will you admit you love me?”
