Falling After Marriage - Chapter 63
Chapter 63: How About We Play Something More Stimulating
“Ouch—Hiss—”
Cheng Sangluo clutched her head and collapsed back onto the floor, wincing in pain.
The person who was usually calm and collected was suddenly thrown into disarray, as if her privacy had been ripped away, leaving her worried and afraid to make any loud movements.
She struggled to crawl out of the narrow space, but the crazy woman’s injured foot blocked her path, leaving her trapped between a rock and a hard place.
The contrast outside the desk was even more stark.
Lin Jin, who had seen all kinds of situations, was naturally unfazed.
She calmly straightened her shirt, then reached out to gently rub the little dog’s head. “Making a fuss. Did you hurt yourself?”
“Yes.” Cheng Sangluo answered honestly, her voice carrying a hint of pleading as she urgently wanted to leave the desk: “Let me out.”
Lin Jin nodded, gazing at the pitiful little dog kneeling at her knee. Her eyes suddenly glowed with a heart-stopping crimson, and her smile was no longer innocent.
“How about we play something more stimulating?” Her question wasn’t a request for permission but more like an explicit invitation.
“Wh-what stimulating… I don’t understand what you mean…” Cheng Sangluo’s reply was halting, making it obvious that she was pretending to be confused despite knowing full well.
Her heart pounded. She thought Lin Jin’s madness was like a deliberate recklessness in the calm. Her gaze was entangled, her smile cunning, and even her calm tone was full of blatant desire.
Lin Jin didn’t wait for the little dog’s agreement. She deliberately moved her CEO chair, effectively trapping her beneath the fitted skirt. “It is your honor to be a subject under my skirt.”
Although her words were full of arrogance, she kept gently stroking the little dog’s head, trying to soothe the pain.
However, that gentleness only lingered for an instant.
The hand resting on Cheng Sangluo’s head suddenly intensified its grip.
The accompanying tone became increasingly forceful.
“Mouth.” Lin Jin uttered only one word.
The command was short but carried a queenly, irresistible aura, dissolving all ease in the room.
“Mmm—” Cheng Sangluo didn’t have time to dodge. A muffled sound escaped her mouth, and amidst her struggle, she regained her reason.
Alas, it was too late.
The rich fragrance that rushed into her nostrils was more effective than any madness-inducing drug.
Cheng Sangluo resisted, stiffening her neck. Her thoughts spun chaotically, and contradictory words echoed in her mind: Lin Jin is sweet, but this state of mine is ridiculous and pathetic.
Lin Jin’s thin back trembled slightly. After struggling to steady her breathing, she slowly gave the instruction: “Come in.”
In response, the office door was gently pushed open.
Secretary Zhou led a few senior executives in, likely to report on some urgent work issues.
In the confined corner, Cheng Sangluo’s breathing was restricted.
Just as she raised her head, she was forcefully pressed down by the coiling foot.
Her deep intake of breath brought about an unexpected butterfly effect.
Thus, Lin Jin, who was sitting as steady as a mountain in the CEO chair, found things getting difficult.
She maintained a calm expression, but inwardly, she was faintly trembling.
How can this crazy woman manage to look so serious?!
Cheng Sangluo was going mad, shouting internally, but also addicted to the sensation.
Lin Jin’s scent filled her very soul.
It also contained a sweet taste, moistening her parched throat.
Secretary Zhou looked around and didn’t recall seeing Ms. Cheng leave. She glanced towards the rest room.
The executives spoke about business in a continuous stream, and no one noticed the abnormality hidden beneath their boss’s forced composure.
Lin Jin maintained a posture tight against the back of the chair, but her spine was secretly stiff.
In her perception, the usually somewhat clumsy little dog had suddenly transformed, becoming a slippery python.
She was unrestrainedly flicking her tongue, like soft clouds wrapping around a mountain peak, bringing a kind of repressed yet alarming pleasure.
Just as climax was imminent.
Lin Jin frowned slightly.
Her palm on the little dog’s head tightened, pulling her hair.
Lin Jin hissed: “That’s enough.”
When everyone thought the unpredictable boss was about to start nitpicking again, she merely waved her hand dismissively, “All of you, out. Report these matters to the Vice President. Don’t come to me for everything.”
Lin Jin easily dismissed everyone.
Seeing Secretary Zhou about to leave, she called her back: “Zhou Ran, I don’t want to receive anyone else today. Please leave.”
“Understood.” Secretary Zhou nodded in response and closed the door tightly.
Lin Jin finally dropped all pretense.
The long-suppressed, hurried breathing was as beautiful as a sigh of spring breeze.
She gently pushed the chair back, observed the little dog still working diligently for a moment, and reached out to cup her chin and tease, “If you had used just a tiny bit more force, I would have been embarrassed in front of my employees.”
Cheng Sangluo feigned a mischievous look, raising her head with a grin: “If I’d known that, I would have used a little more force.”
“Get up.” Lin Jin grabbed the little dog’s collar and pulled her out from under the desk. “Let me see your head.”
“I’m fine, it doesn’t hurt anymore.” Cheng Sangluo shook her head, but the obstinate woman held her down anyway.
She had no choice but to lie honestly on the crazy woman’s lap, emphasizing, “Don’t worry, I didn’t knock myself silly.”
Lin Jin hadn’t reached a climax, but her good mood was gone.
She ran her hands through the little dog’s hair, searching, and indeed felt a slight bump that was a bit swollen. She frowned tightly. “You call this ‘fine’?”
Cheng Sangluo was unconcerned. She was more worried about the unresolved pleasure. “We’re not finished yet. Can we not interrupt?”
Lin Jin pulled out two tissues, cupped her face, and meticulously wiped the stickiness from the corners of her lips. “Forget it. You’ve ruined the mood. But since you’ve been so obedient, you can choose whatever you want for dinner tonight.”
Hearing talk of good food, the little dog’s true nature was revealed.
This person didn’t have a tail, otherwise, one would see how happily she was wagging it.
She quickly scurried a couple of times on the floor, stood up to look for her T-shirt, and swiftly tossed the intimate moment out of her mind. “What should I eat? Hmm…”
She snapped her fingers, excited: “I want barbecue, buffet is fine too—the kind where I can eat lots and lots of meat!”
This person was easily satisfied. For her, those exquisitely presented and ridiculously expensive dishes were not as good as a platter piled high with grilled beef.
Having lived frugally for so long, it had been a very long time since she had eaten sizzling, oily meat!
Lin Jin tidied her clothes. Hearing the little dog’s cheerful voice, she couldn’t help but laugh, intentionally teasing: “Didn’t you just eat meat? Are you still not full?”
She then showed a hint of displeasure, complaining, “It seems food is more appealing than I am.”
“Uh… I… well…” Cheng Sangluo was momentarily speechless. “This meat is not that meat. I’m just craving it. And… relatively speaking… you are more to my taste…”
Does that count as sweet talk? It must!
Did it strike a chord in the crazy woman’s heart?
The little dog was like this, always easily forgetting the pain once the wound healed. Give her a little treat or something fun, and her tail would wag excitedly.
Of course, how much of her affection for the crazy woman was genuine was a separate question.
Even now, she still hadn’t figured it out.
“Oh~ I am more to your taste~” Lin Jin emphasized the words, savoring Cheng Sangluo’s sudden expression of favor.
This feeling was unique, like eating a big bite of soft, fluffy cotton candy. It lacked any substantial texture, leaving only an empty sweetness.
She narrowed her eyes, observing the rosy-cheeked little dog. Her gaze held a flicker of joy, but deep within, more suspicion surged.
Lin Jin’s madness was outward, so people couldn’t see the depth of her meticulous thoughts. Maybe she was smiling, but perhaps that smile hid a dagger.
Just as she said, she was a businesswoman, and a successful one who never missed. She was adept at using cunning methods to achieve desired results.
Such an astute person naturally possessed extraordinary observational skills. Analyzing a tiny detail was enough to deduce the cause and effect of the entire matter.
Such a person was deeply suspicious.
When did things start feeling wrong? Lin Jin briefly pondered and quickly found the root of the problem.
This feeling didn’t emerge at one specific point in time but was a gradual, subtle shift from the very beginning, hiding in easily overlooked minor details.
She pondered without showing it. Cheng Sangluo’s backbone was so hard. She wouldn’t even bend down to pick up money. She would snap at the slightest touch and always delivered firm rejections.
In response to the traps of flattery and begging Lin Jin set, her replies were either an adamant ‘impossible’ or a silent non-response.
She had never broken her spirit or shown submission when humiliated in any setting. How could she undergo such a dramatic change in just one month?
Was it because the emotionless intimacy happened too many times, sparking an unspeakable affection?
No. Every time she listened to that beating heart, she never felt a single flutter.
Thinking this, Lin Jin subtly blinked her eyelashes, a thick sense of loneliness gathering in her eyes.
Trapped in suspicion, she tried hard to figure out what had changed Cheng Sangluo.
Could it be that she empathized with their shared childhood experiences, prompting this stone-hearted person to feel compassion?
Or is Cheng Sangluo just painting a false picture of peace, having a hidden agenda? After all, no matter how intimate they were, it didn’t change the fact that she hated Lin Jin. Resistance and hatred were the logical reactions.
Lin Jin pursed her lips. The more she thought, the more doubts arose.
She habitually leaned against the desk, staring silently at Cheng Sangluo, a smile suddenly curving on her lips, inscrutable.
The smile seemed playful, but it was more dangerous, easily tightening one’s nerves.
Cheng Sangluo felt a chill run down her spine from the scrutiny. She couldn’t help but shiver, stammering the question: “W-why are you looking at me with that expression… it’s creepy…”
Lin Jin didn’t answer. She pretended to complain, “It’s all your fault for making me feel uncomfortable all over. I’m going to freshen up. You wait for me obediently, and I’ll take you for barbecue later.”
With that, she refused the little dog’s support and walked alone toward the rest room.
Cheng Sangluo slightly opened and closed her lips, withdrawing the hand she offered to help Lin Jin.
She stared at Lin Jin’s limping figure as she left, the pretense of naivety immediately fading from her eyes.
Once the door to the rest room closed, she quickly used the back of her hand to vigorously wipe her lips, then pulled out a tissue and rubbed her mouth repeatedly until half her face turned red.
Dirty. So dirty!
This filth was carved into her soul. No matter how much she cleaned, she couldn’t erase a bit of it. Even though she had done it countless times, today’s action made her intensely uncomfortable.
It was the feeling of sordidness brought on by submitting to the crazy woman’s coercion, making her feel utterly unclean.
Probably feeling that she wasn’t clean enough, Cheng Sangluo hurried out of the office, crossing the hallway in a panicked retreat.
She frantically rushed into the restroom, fighting hard to suppress the churning in her stomach.
After confirming there was no one inside, she leaned over the sink and dry-heaved, even sticking her fingers down her throat, trying to force out all the filth.
Cheng Sangluo’s body spasmed instinctively. A thin layer of redness appeared in her eyes, but after retching for a very long time, she couldn’t spit out a single bit of the swallowed humiliation.
She supported herself on the sink, her hunched back bent by reality, seemingly unable to straighten up again. She stared blankly into the mirror.
Her eyes had lost their usual sharpness, strands of messy hair clung to her lips, and even her breathing was ragged.
This version of herself looked unfamiliar: pitiful, subservient, ridiculous, and unsightly.
Cheng Sangluo numbly turned on the faucet and squeezed some hand soap. She washed her hands so diligently, not even sparing her fingernails, repeating the action, using all her strength, and grinding her teeth while doing so.
She only stopped washing when blood started to seep through the band-aid. The pain radiating from her fingers connected to her heart called back her shattered reason.
Cheng Sangluo became much more sober. She suddenly remembered Lin Jin’s scrutinizing gaze earlier, and an unreasoning panic seized her heart.
She was also a cautious person. It wasn’t hard to deduce that the crazy woman was likely suspicious of her.
Taking advantage of the moment alone, she immediately reviewed their interactions over the past few days.
After this review, her already panicked heart leaped to her throat.
Cheng Sangluo belatedly realized that the sudden shift in her attitude to show favor these past few days had undoubtedly exposed a flaw.
She slapped her forehead in vexation, thinking that Lin Jin was not easy to fool, and blaming herself for being too eager for quick revenge.
Cheng Sangluo paced back and forth in the restroom for a long time before finally coming up with a makeshift coping strategy.
If she wanted the crazy woman not to suspect her, it wasn’t hard. Who couldn’t play a game of unpredictability and reverse psychology?
This trick was taught to her by the crazy woman herself.
Cheng Sangluo splashed water on her face. Her self-mocking smile was bitter, leaving a bitter taste in her mouth.
She turned off the faucet, tidied her wrinkled T-shirt, and organized her chaotic thoughts.
When she looked into the mirror again, she had put on a mask of pretense. The smile curving on her lips had changed its flavor.
She slightly lifted her chin, looking at herself in the mirror, scornfully scoffing: “You chose this path yourself. You have to crawl through it, even if you have to.”
When she walked into the CEO’s office, Cheng Sangluo hadn’t expected Lin Jin to be finished cleaning up so quickly.
But the moment she stepped through the door, the person napping on the sofa spoke with a faint inquiry: “Where did you go?”
Cheng Sangluo put her hands in her pockets and shrugged dismissively: “I hope I don’t have to report going to the restroom to you.”
Lin Jin crossed her arms across her chest, her eyes slightly narrowed, her face showing the fatigue that followed desire.
Hearing the little dog’s indifferent reply, she gave a lazy smile and patted the spot next to her: “I’m so sleepy. Come sit here and let me lean on you.”
Cheng Sangluo didn’t listen to her. Instead, she pulled out a chair and sat down, pretending to study her wood block, feigning an interest in carving.
“Little dog, not being obedient again?” Lin Jin teased, getting up and walking behind the little dog, wrapping her arms around her neck. “Don’t carve. This is something that needs to be taken slowly. I won’t rush your deadline.”
Cheng Sangluo put down the wood block and looked up at the beautiful, comfortable woman. Suddenly, she brought up a serious topic: “Lin Jin, I want to discuss something with you.”
“Such a serious tone~” Lin Jin pinched and played with the little dog’s ear, not giving in easily. “You have to tell me first what you want to discuss.”
Cheng Sangluo didn’t beat around the bush and went straight to her request: “Before the prenuptial agreement is signed, I hope that our relationship will not be overly intimate. For example, cohabiting but not sharing a room, or perhaps, giving me enough private space and time.”
“Why the sudden request?” The smile on Lin Jin’s lips vanished instantly, and her tone cooled slightly: “Give me a reason that will convince me.”
“To be honest, after my first meeting with Officer Ji, I mentioned wanting to appeal my case. She looked at my file and said the evidence chain for the conviction is very complete. To overturn the case, I need to provide an entirely new evidence chain, but this kind of thing becomes increasingly difficult to investigate as time passes. So, I need a lot of time and energy for investigation, and I hope you can understand.” Cheng Sangluo laid out her plan completely, her expression sincere, making it impossible to detect any abnormality.
At this moment, Cheng Sangluo just felt exhausted, a double fatigue of both soul and body.
Her pain and conflict stemmed from the initial goal of revenge. She only wanted to stand tall and borrow Lin Jin’s influence to avenge the three years she lost. It was tiring to do it that way, and she did not want to achieve her goal in the most ugly manner, like kneeling under Lin Jin’s skirt ten minutes ago.
Lin Jin buried her face in Cheng Sangluo’s neck, her light sniffing turning into an affectionate kiss.
After a moment of silence, she finally relented: “I can give you time to investigate what you want to know, and I can even provide extra help, but I do not agree to sleep in separate rooms. I told you I can’t sleep soundly without you by my side. See, I’m already learning to compromise…”
Cheng Sangluo could tell there was a hidden meaning in her words, essentially saying: Let’s both take a step back. Don’t be ungrateful.
However, sharing a bed was not that difficult to endure. Cheng Sangluo readily agreed: “Okay, we won’t sleep in separate rooms.”
Lin Jin was satisfied with the little dog’s response. She wrapped her arms around her neck and shifted to sit on her lap, then changed the subject: “After we register our marriage, I’ll take you to live somewhere else. The environment is better, safer, and quieter. You will definitely like it.”
Cheng Sangluo supported her waist with one hand, confused: “Why the sudden move?”
“I know you don’t like the house at Linxi Terrace, so I want to take you to a different environment so we can start fresh~” Lin Jin affectionately tapped the little dog’s nose, comforting her: “I also know you are eager to retaliate against those who persecuted you, but this kind of thing needs more than just determination; it needs patience. I will hide with you, and you must also learn to wait for the opportune moment.”
The spacious office fell into a subtle atmosphere. It wasn’t absolute silence, as the embraced Cheng Sangluo hesitated to speak, finally letting out a muffled sigh.
Lin Jin kissed her ear, her expression mesmerized, infused with immense tenderness. “I truly wish the little dog could be honest with me. But there’s progress. At least now you tell me what you want. That’s always better than bottling things up and saying nothing.”
Cheng Sangluo paused for a moment.
She suddenly realized that Lin Jin’s attitude towards her was not as tough as before. The fact that she was willing to discuss matters was truly rare.
This version of the crazy woman felt both strange and easygoing, making her uneasy and unable to figure her out.
“Lin Jin.”
“Hmm?”
“Nothing. I just wanted to say… um… are you hungry? I want to eat barbecue.” Cheng Sangluo had intended to say something to close the distance between them, but at the last minute, she changed the subject.
From Lin Jin’s unseen perspective, she bit her lip, severely regretting her stage fright.
“Let’s go. I’ll take the greedy girl out for good food~” Lin Jin affectionately ruffled Cheng Sangluo’s head, teasing her, then requested: “Now, I’m taking you out to eat good food. Will you take me for a drive, like you did yesterday on the cross-sea bridge when you showed me the sunset?”
“Okay.” Cheng Sangluo agreed without hesitation. She slightly raised her chin, looking seriously at Lin Jin’s face. “I’ll take you wherever you want to go. We can see the sunset, the night view, or the morning light. Anything to make you happy.”
Feelings revealed inadvertently are the most genuine. At least in this heartfelt statement, Cheng Sangluo was not pretending or lying at all.
