Falling After Marriage - Chapter 56
Chapter 56: I Want to Eat the Little Dog, Will You Let Me?
The moist, hot breath passed by Cheng Sangluo’s ear, like the tip of a soft feather, occasionally brushing against her skin. Every inch it swept over created a dense, tingling sensation, causing one to involuntarily twitch their back.
That itch that couldn’t be relieved began to spread from the depths of her soul, piercing through dimensions and sinking into her bones, where it blossomed into a magnificent flower. In the deep center of the stamen, Lin Jin’s charming smile was hidden.
Cheng Sangluo felt she had accidentally fallen for the crazy woman’s spell. Even though she was so thin she could be grasped around the waist, why was she still thinking about things that made one’s face flush yellow?
The little dog shook her head, trying to regain reason. She turned and cupped Lin Jin’s chin, rubbing her nose against Lin Jin’s forehead, denying everything: “No, not at all.”
This answer didn’t seem to annoy Lin Jin. She smiled, tilted her head, and confirmed with a sweet voice, “Do you really not want me at all?”
Their lips were within inches of each other. A slight initiative could taste an unknown sweetness.
Cheng Sangluo lowered her gaze, staring at Lin Jin’s bloodless lips. For a moment, the terrifying urge to kiss her nearly broke the dam.
Fortunately, she sobered up in time and retreated.
Her palm remained on Lin Jin’s deeply sunken cheek, her thumb habitually stroking it, but her brow furrowed with concern.
So thin, heartbreakingly thin.
Cheng Sangluo answered truthfully, “Is your body suitable for that kind of thing right now? When I said ‘no,’ I meant I don’t want to trouble you, not that I don’t want you.”
Some things didn’t need to be said so clearly. After all, there was no need to explain their relationship, right?
Yet, she said it so seriously, her eyes full of the skeletal Lin Jin.
And just as Ji Nanxing had said, this person was clueless.
Tonight’s Cheng Sangluo had also stripped away her facade of bravado. She didn’t want to create a tense atmosphere; she only wanted the woman before her to rest peacefully and have a good appetite when the light came.
“Your face is red.” Lin Jin teased the little dog’s awkwardness. In truth, she couldn’t clearly see if the tawny skin was flushed, she was simply being playful, wanting to tease the easily shy person.
“I am not! I’m going to take a shower now!” Cheng Sangluo muttered, wanting to quickly hide in the bathroom to check if her face was really red.
“You promised, only five minutes for the shower~” Lin Jin leaned back against the headboard, her lips curved in a knowing smile. “Timing starts now~”
As soon as Cheng Sangluo heard the timer, she quickly moved toward the room’s bathroom.
Just before disappearing around the corner, she looked back at the comfortable-looking crazy woman but didn’t say anything.
That one look seemed to settle her inexplicable nervousness and also ease the anxiety of separation for the person on the bed.
Cheng Sangluo decided not to take a proper shower since she was injured.
She stripped off her dirty clothes and quickly wiped her body with a dampened towel.
The door was slightly ajar, allowing her to hear Lin Jin calling out occasionally: “Cheng Sangluo.”
The little dog responded, sticking half her head out: “What is it?”
Lin Jin covered her mouth, chuckling: “Nothing, I just wanted to call you.”
The little dog rolled her eyes: “Aiyee!”
Not long after, the woman started being restless again: “Little dog~”
Cheng Sangluo chewed on a disposable toothbrush, white foam still clinging to her lips, and stretched out her head to peer at the crazy woman: “What is it now?”
“Just wanted to hear your voice~”
“I’m brushing my teeth!” The little dog sounded impatient, but secretly sped up her brushing.
Not long after.
Lin Jin stared intently at the time on her phone, sighing tragically: “This is so annoying. Why does five minutes feel so long?”
In fact, only three minutes had passed since Cheng Sangluo ran into the bathroom to wash up.
Perhaps, for Lin Jin at this moment, even a brief separation felt like an eternity, so she struggled with the distance, even though they were in the same room.
When the sound of water in the bathroom abruptly stopped, the empty room became instantly silent enough to hear a pin drop, leaving only the quiet moon smiling wordlessly.
Cheng Sangluo didn’t put on a robe, appearing before Lin Jin’s eyes in just a sports bra and underwear, looking somewhat exposed.
Her figure was trim, without any excess fat. The silver-white moonlight wrapped around her darker skin, casting a faint glow, like she was wearing a sheer, gossamer veil.
“Ahem… um… do you have any extra clothes I can borrow?” She raised a hand to cover the bridge of her nose, coughing lightly to ease the awkward atmosphere, which was quite comically self-conscious.
Lin Jin looked at the embarrassed little dog, a trace of brightness finally appearing on her face. She teased, “I do have some, but you can’t wear my clothes. If you want to put on a show in a crop top for me, I’d be happy to lend you the entire closet.”
This woman, given an inch of sunshine, brightened up and, feeling better, started finding ways to tease the little dog again.
Cheng Sangluo just wanted to slip into the covers and hide herself right now.
But a despicable character was sitting on the bed, making her steps even more dragging.
Aiyee! She felt an itchy frustration, not knowing whether to stand or lie down!
“Alright~” Lin Jin coaxed with a soft voice, pulling back the blanket and inviting the shy person, “Come up and join me quickly. Don’t make me wait for you anymore, okay?”
Yes, don’t make the person who suffers day and night wait anymore. The feeling of counting the seconds feels more painful than having one’s tendons pulled and bones extracted.
Cheng Sangluo thought for a moment. This seemed to be the first time she was getting into bed naked with the crazy woman without being in a state of pleasure.
She sat down on the edge of the bed, slowly kicking off her slippers.
Her scar-covered back, illuminated by the dim light, shimmered with uneven shadows. In Lin Jin’s eyes, it was half heartache, half temptation.
Her legs were inconvenient, so only her upper body could move. She simply crawled forward and wrapped her arms around the little dog’s waist, checking to see if the wound had gotten wet.
Cheng Sangluo instinctively turned and supported Lin Jin’s head, whispering a warning, “Don’t move around too much. Be careful not to hurt your foot again.”
With that, she supported Lin Jin’s neck with one hand and swiftly leaned back against the headboard, allowing the clinging person to lie securely on her abdomen.
Intimacy without any clothing barrier brings a sense of security.
At least, Lin Jin thought so. She closed her eyes, listening to the little dog’s stomach growl while enjoying the natural warmth radiating from her body.
She closed her eyes wearily and spoke to herself, “I thought you lied to me, just abandoning me and running away without a word.”
Cheng Sangluo knew that Lin Jin’s emotional issues these past days were caused by her absence.
“Why would you think that?” she countered with a long sigh, then complained, “Didn’t you say my character was worth three million? I wouldn’t abandon you in such a dangerous situation, so why would I leave you without a word?”
“Because I was scared. I wasn’t afraid you wouldn’t repay the money, but that you would vanish, that something would happen to you.” Lin Jin’s tone was calm, but she spoke of the fear she had endured all this time.
Cheng Sangluo nodded. From her vantage point, she could see the crazy woman’s smooth brow and the straight bridge of her nose. Due to being too thin, her jawline was sharp, conveying the pain of not being able to eat or sleep through the nights.
She gently massaged Lin Jin’s jaw, as if to rub away all that suffering, her voice incredibly soft, “You need to learn to love yourself first, before you can be loved.”
“That’s so hard. I can’t learn it. You teach me,” Lin Jin smiled with squinted eyes and tilted her head. She liked being close to the little dog’s hand. That kind of support not only brought security but also a reality that soaked through time.
Cheng Sangluo smiled helplessly, “That kind of thing seems like something you have to figure out little by little on your own.”
Lin Jin smiled brightly, “Since you won’t teach me, then you love me.”
Topics discussed in the middle of the night always carried an unexplained sense of sadness.
This sadness was faint, like the moon hanging in the distant sky—unattainable yet a lingering sense of melancholy.
This was the first time the two had discussed the topic of love after countless confrontations and countless nights of wild passion.
Cheng Sangluo was momentarily stunned, falling into an unsolvable contemplation.
She pondered what love was, then mocked herself for never having been loved, wondering what right she had to lecture the crazy woman about learning to love herself.
Lin Jin lifted her head and flicked the little dog’s forehead with her fingertip. “Hey, don’t zone out.”
The little dog covered her forehead, grumbling, “I wasn’t zoning out. I was thinking.”
“Thinking?” The crazy woman was curious: “Thinking about what?”
The little dog made a smacking sound with her mouth, fooling her, “Thinking about what to eat tomorrow morning.”
“Hmph, having a heart-to-heart with me, and daring to be distracted by other things?” Lin Jin muttered crossly, then suddenly smiled: “Hey? I think… I’m a little hungry…”
“You’re hungry? You want to eat something?” Cheng Sangluo immediately sat up, thinking of getting her some fruit to fill her stomach. “Should I go get you something to eat?”
Lin Jin pulled at the overly nervous little dog, whining, “Aiya, I was just talking. Don’t trouble yourself.”
“But you’re hungry! The most important thing for you right now is to eat!” Cheng Sangluo raised her voice, almost blurting out the truth in her heart: I can’t stand you being so thin. I hate you being so thin, because it makes me inexplicably sad.
Lin Jin tempted her with a weak voice, “Then… I want to eat the little dog… will you let me?”
Cheng Sangluo avoided her seductive gaze, replying nervously, “Fine, I’m happy to let you eat me. Do you have a knife?”
Lin Jin was taken aback, mumbling, “What do you need a knife for?”
The little dog said something absurd, “Tell me which piece of meat you want. I’ll slice it fresh for you. 100% fresh protein. It just depends on whether you can bring yourself to eat it.”
“Don’t you think that cold joke is too bloody?” Lin Jin chided. She leaned over the little dog, kissing her neck, a kiss of half a month’s loneliness. “Just being able to hold you is already a wonderful thing.”
Cheng Sangluo complained internally that tonight’s crazy woman was clingier than usual.
She endured the itch on her neck, awkwardly swallowed a mouthful of saliva, and murmured, “Lin Jin, actually, there’s a piece of good news I haven’t told you.”
Lin Jin was lost in the kiss, her response shortened: “Tell me~”
In the height of her passion, she bit down hard again, as if to bite through all the loneliness, to fill her empty heart.
Cheng Sangluo endured the sensation, which was both painful and itchy. She stroked her hair affectionately, announcing, “I quit my job at the bar. Are you happy?”
Hearing the little dog voluntarily quit her job at Shu Guan’s place, Lin Jin looked up in astonishment, appearing dazed, her eyes filled with immense disbelief. “Did the sun rise in the west, or did the iron tree blossom, or have you finally wised up? You actually quit your job voluntarily. Are you willing to give it up?”
This series of rhetorical questions made Cheng Sangluo laugh helplessly.
She curled Lin Jin’s hair around her fingers, slowly grinding it, examining her somewhat funny expression for a moment before answering unhurriedly, “It’s not about being willing or unwilling. I’m used to you taking away my livelihood. I’m numb to it.”
She still intentionally avoided the reason why, probably not wanting to state her true feelings too directly.
After all, empty space always holds a mysterious charm, right?
But Lin Jin knew her too well and could instantly see through the dog’s awkwardness.
Fortunately, she saw through it without saying anything. Being able to feel that unspoken affection was already immensely satisfying.
She placed her hand on the little dog’s head and affectionately ruffled her hair a few times. “Good dog~ Seeing how obedient you are, what reward should I give you?”
“Skip the reward. I only ask that you stop calling me ‘little dog,’ can you do that?”
“No way! You clearly are one. Tonight, you’re like a little dog who brought her own leash to find her owner~” Lin Jin chuckled mischievously, then rushed to kiss her everywhere.
Once she was aroused, she softened her voice, whispering, “Good girl, listen to your owner… Your owner wants you… ease her craving, won’t you…”
Cheng Sangluo truly had no defense against the crazy woman when she was consumed by desire.
Because she was also ignited by a consuming heat.
She even felt the air conditioning in the room wasn’t cold enough, but she had nothing left to take off, so she could only forcibly suppress the heat rushing through her blood.
“Hold me…”
“Kiss me…”
“I’ve never been stingy about showing you everything… I’m very generous…”
“Sangluo, give me a little love, okay?”
Lin Jin gently bit the little dog’s earlobe, calling out words of request for affection again and again.
“You are… sometimes more stubborn than I am… I told you I didn’t want to trouble you…”
Cheng Sangluo sounded helpless, but her restless hands were more honest than her mind.
The peach was full and round.
Just right to be cupped in her palm.
Tender like the tip of a spring bud.
Held between her fingers.
Rubbed to create tonight’s pleasure.
Cheng Sangluo used to refuse to acknowledge her feelings. Now, she had a new set of worries.
She was troubled by her craving for Lin Jin’s seduction and the difficult-to-resolve addiction that came with knowing the pleasure.
That addiction was like restless waves, one not yet broken on the shore before another rushed urgently to push in.
But Cheng Sangluo had never once considered whether this ambiguous relationship contained even a hint of liking.
Perhaps it wasn’t that she didn’t want to, but that she didn’t dare to.
Yet, at this moment, she was very clear about what her every move represented, but more so, it was primal instinct.
A person with feelings and desires is born with the instinct for greedy taking.
She gathered Lin Jin’s slender body, pulling her close into her embrace, and simultaneously checked to see if she had accidentally touched the injured foot.
Lin Jin cupped her face and turned it to look at her. “It’s okay. If I hurt my foot, I’ll hiss~”
Cheng Sangluo calmly gazed into the crazy woman’s eyes. The deep gaze gradually surfaced with a captivating flush.
She slowly leaned in, letting her kiss fall behind Lin Jin’s fragrant ear, sighing quietly, “I guess I need to ask the manager for some time off.”
Cheng Sangluo moved her lips, kissing delicately, both drawing in the crazy woman’s scent and memorizing the tender touch.
She silently pleaded in her heart, asking the lonely moon to close its eyes and not watch this lovemaking, which had pleasure but no love.
During a kiss, Cheng Sangluo grasped the last thread of reason not yet cast aside, asking, “Lin Jin, when are we getting the certificate?”
