When Li Xin woke up with a head full of blood, he found himself staring blankly at a piece of stationery in a City of Grievances villa, which demanded he write down his wish.
Li Xin: Thanks for the invite. I feel like I’m supposed to be looking for someone, but I just committed suicide and have amnesia. (Smiles)
Though the situation was absurd to the point of ridiculousness, Li Xin, maintaining a “well, since I’m already here” attitude, entered the so-called dungeons with an incredibly chill mindset. Then, he discovered that the dungeon system was aggressively targeting him.
While other players formed squads of three to five with unified goals, he was left entirely alone, forced by the rules to roleplay as an NPC. The players’ missions opposed his, and the NPCs weren’t his friends either. In short: exposure meant instant death.
He had zero clues, the dungeon kept handing his vulnerabilities to his enemies on a silver platter, and the System’s blatant desire to ruin his life was practically written in neon lights.
Yet, amid the mutual backstabbing between himself, the players, and the NPCs, Li Xin suddenly noticed something—that grey-haired hottie among the players, the one who had absolutely zero faith in his moral character… kinda looked like his boyfriend?
Watching this “villain” persona become more unshakeable by the day, the God masquerading among the players watched blankly, completely numb inside. What the hell is going on when your human boyfriend goes completely MIA, gets amnesia, courts death every single day, and even starts a fistfight with the world rules?
