Do Not Bully A Thirty-Year-Old Elderly Person! - Chapter 1
Chapter 1: A Valuable Classic Car
“Xun Ri” is a pool hall in the fashion center, styled with a certain flair; there is no minimum spending requirement, so as soon as holidays arrive, it is packed with all sorts of people. However, on a Friday afternoon, there aren’t particularly many people; the night session is when things are truly bustling.
Huo Sicheng leaned in the corner of the sofa, scrolling through his WeChat Moments off and on.
Colorful travel selfies, complaints about language barriers while studying abroad, and some mundane trivialities slid past Huo Sicheng’s retina like running water.
He didn’t know what he was expecting to see; perhaps some small trace of someone after they had been missing for n months.
Before he could catch any traces, the sofa on his left sank first. Someone flipped down from the backrest, his large frame sinking into the seat, and he said hurriedly: “Fuck! Brother Huo, that big brother Zhang Rang brought people and found us here!”
Huo Sicheng pressed his phone off and pondered for a moment: “Who is Zhang Rang?”
“That vocational school boyfriend of Hu Qian, the one you kicked into the hospital.” Peng Jia stared at him, grinding his teeth for a long time, “Don’t fucking ask me who Hu Qian is.”
“……I’m not retarded.”
Hu Qian was a girl Huo Sicheng had heroically rescued at the school gate earlier. The girl was bothered by Zhang Rang to the point of tears, and when she saw Huo Sicheng, she grabbed his sleeve. The young master didn’t listen to explanations and kicked Zhang Rang in the leg, not holding back his strength, with a “snap” causing a minor fracture.
Fortunately, Peng Jia was somewhat experienced and immediately accompanied the young master to send the person to the hospital.
Zhang Rang lay on the hospital bed howling, viciously threatening to make Huo Sicheng pay, but unfortunately, that unlucky look with a bruised face and a hanging leg made anyone who saw it feel annoyed.
Before Peng Jia could discuss right from wrong with Huo Sicheng using his “senior” experience, a group of people in suits filed in, instantly filling the entire ward.
That posture was about as effective as the Matrix catching a bug.
Peng Jia watched, dumbfounded, his eyes seemingly blinded, and turned to stare at the calm-faced Huo Sicheng.
The young master said nonchalantly: “Eh, there’s nothing else at home, but we have plenty of legal staff.”
“……”
This was the first time Peng Jia felt the reality of the rumors in the jianghu that Huo Sicheng was a rich second generation.
However, clearly, they didn’t have such good luck this time.
“A strong dragon cannot suppress a local snake; his brother has people in this area.” Peng Jia pulled down the young master Huo’s arrogant head and said seriously, “Run first as a sign of respect!”
“If you want to run, you run.” Young Master Huo didn’t appreciate the kindness and asked suspiciously, “How did he know I was here?”
Peng Jia snorted coldly, tilted his head, and gestured with his chin toward the east; Huo Sicheng looked over accordingly.
Of the dozen or so pool tables, only the one in the corner was bustling, surrounded by a crowd.
A person wearing a black vest leaned against the edge of the pool table, half of his body hidden in the shadows, his jointed, prominent hands holding a thick, long pool cue.
This person’s appearance was extremely good—sharp contours, fluid angles; when expressionless, he looked both savage and cold.
In a fish-and-dragon-mixed pool hall, dim light and shadows intertwined, and he was like a profound and primitive sculpture.
Many people’s gazes drifted here intentionally or unintentionally; he was truly a “head card” (top attraction).
The head card was clearly sensitive, quickly perceiving two malicious gazes. His hand, which was wiping chalk on the cue, paused; his eyebrows raised slightly, and his gaze passed through the crowd, accurately capturing the two people huddled in the corner of the sofa.
Although this chaos was instigated by this person, he acted as if he were outside of it.
The cue stood between his straight, slender legs, the tip of the cue resting on the floor. Every time the blue chalk rubbed against the leather tip, the “swish-swish” sound—prolonged and dry—was like a snake crawling on sandpaper.
It was just like the feeling this person gave Huo Sicheng—sinister and insidious.
“Damn, this old yin-bit (sly person)!” Huo Sicheng cursed in a low voice and raised a middle finger from afar. The head card didn’t grant him a single look, which made him even angrier. “Where did Zhou Zhan find Zhang Rang’s brother?”
This “dog thing” would work three jobs a week, and he had to spare time to maintain his throne as the top student in his grade, yet he could still squeeze out time to undermine Huo Sicheng a few times.
“I told you long ago, this person is evil.” Peng Jia also couldn’t help but sigh. “Why did you have to be ‘hand-itchy’ and insist on plucking those few bird feathers of his?”
In the end, he really pissed off this King of Hell.
Who is Huo Sicheng?
A young master who has been pampered since childhood; except for his uncle, no one dared to do anything to him. If he wanted to catch a bird, he caught it; if he wanted to pluck a few feathers, he plucked them, and he had never been forced into such a corner!
They had only spoken this far when Zhang Rang’s brother had already led a dozen men and walked majestically to Huo Sicheng’s sofa, looking aggressive.
“Something up?” Huo Sicheng was strong on the outside but weak on the inside, posing while figuring out how to secretly call Assistant Qin for help.
The tall, big yellow-haired man stepped on the edge of the table and smiled: “Young master, it’s not good to covet other people’s girlfriends, is it?”
As the two sides were deadlocked, a figure in a black vest walked by slowly, holding a pool cue in his hand and carrying a tray: “Don’t destroy private property.”
“Hey! You kid, do you have eyes?” The new henchman didn’t recognize this person; he only saw a handsome young waiter challenging them boldly. “Do you believe I… what’s wrong, brother?”
The yellow-haired man hit him on the shoulder with his elbow, then put his leg down. He didn’t look at Zhou Zhan, but said blandly: “Remember why we are here today.”
“Ah… oh, here to support little Rang, right.” The henchman rubbed the tip of his nose and said sheepishly.
“Speak, how do you plan to solve this?” The yellow-haired man stared at Huo Sicheng and sneered.
Huo Sicheng had grown up following his uncle to see big scenes, so he remained unmoved: “Is there room for a solution? Did you pay the money to a dog?”
It must be said, even though Huo Sicheng never boasted about his family background, that “I’ll smash you to death with money” aura he carried was extremely irritating.
“Too bratty. If this young master doesn’t get repaired a bit, it will be hard to walk out of this street today.” Wu Shan, who had just come over, heard that and squatted down with Zhou Zhan to watch the fun, clicking his tongue in wonder.
“Keep an eye on it. After beating him a few times, have people carry this bunch of stuff away.” Zhou Zhan didn’t raise his head, holding his phone to study vocabulary. “Don’t affect business tonight.”
“No problem, my mom treats the dead bird (pet) like her own son,” Wu Shan hummed twice, “She won’t feel sorry even if a few tables are smashed.”
“I’m working the night shift at the gym this weekend; put the dead bird at my aunt’s place for two days.”
“No problem.”
The rich young master was encountering such a group of punks outside school for the first time, and he was running away in a very miserable state.
“Huo Sicheng, where is your legal team?” Peng Jia gritted his teeth as they dodged chaotically.
The two were bouncing around the sofa like loaches. Fortunately, the music was loud, and there weren’t many customers, so the impact wasn’t very large.
“Don’t rush me, I’m calling them.” Huo Sicheng wasn’t sure if Assistant Qin could receive his message; in the last few months, this person had followed Huo Suo to open up markets somewhere, and his replies were always in the middle of the night, his expressionless face carrying a faint sense of deadness.
“You broke one of my brother’s legs, it’s not too much to pay two, right?” The yellow-haired man said in a slacker tone.
Peng Jia ran while laughing coldly: “A bunch of adults catching two high school students, aren’t you ashamed!”
Huo Sicheng had just dodged a kick and looked up to see a glass bottle coming toward him. He rolled on the ground; the bottle hit the table, and the shards grazed his neck, leaving a bloody streak.
“Hey! At this moment, shouldn’t you shout, ‘Do you know who my father is?'” Peng Jia dragged Huo Sicheng up from the ground and yelled. The two of them ran frantically toward the door.
Huo Sicheng also yelled: “They definitely don’t know!”
His dad is at best a useless rich second generation who waits to die!
“Damn it!” Peng Jia roared in a breakdown.
The two wanted to slip away from the door. Zhou Zhan and his group of three were blocking the necessary path. Huo Sicheng watched as Zhou Zhan stood up slowly, leaning against the edge of the pool table, carrying a smile, staring at him coldly: “Guest, walk slowly.”
Provocation! Definitely provocation!
Huo Sicheng’s blood rushed to the top of his head instantly, staring at him fixedly.
“Hey, what are you doing? A hero doesn’t suffer immediate losses; leave first!” Peng Jia saw the two were about to fight again and urged him urgently.
Huo Sicheng ran while viciously raising a middle finger at Zhou Zhan.
The door of the pool hall suddenly opened wide. The young master’s finger hadn’t even been fully raised when he suddenly collided fiercely with a person coming from the opposite direction. The trembling middle finger finally fell back halfway.
The space suddenly fell into deathly silence.
The lights gradually brightened—
What hit him before his vision was the scent often permeating the master bedroom at home: ebony and sandalwood accompanied by a touch of spicy pepper molecules. It surrounded Huo Sicheng’s senses. His head bumped into silver buttons, as if a crisp sound echoed in his skull for a long time.
“What are you running for?”
A hoarse and weary voice came from his ear. Huo Sicheng finally woke up from his daze. A familiar, frowning face appeared before him.
From Zhou Zhan’s perspective, he couldn’t see the face of the man in the suit who came out of nowhere, as he was blocked completely by Huo Sicheng.
He only saw a hand raised—pale and gaunt—covering Huo Sicheng’s nape firmly, pushing the young master’s noble head down without question. The fine bones and veins that protruded during the exertion formed an airtight net.
Although this person looked casual, only Huo Sicheng knew how much force that hand held on the back of his neck.
The rebellious young master, who was just arrogant and provocative, now hunched his body in such a wretched way, bending his waist as if to curry favor.
At that moment, Zhou Zhan saw those narrow, pale-green eyes, like an unsheathed knife.
“You are truly capable now.”
“Uncle……”
The cool, rebellious young master who was so hard to discipline stood stunned for a full minute, then immediately forgot his pathetic state of escaping for his life. He instantly turned into a dirty, smooth-haired big dog, eyes teary, claws grasping, desperately trying to rub against Huo Suo. The anxiety that had lingered in his heart for months instantly erupted.
“When did you come back!”
“Are you still leaving after coming back, Uncle?”
“Do you know you’ve been gone for 268 days? Do you even have this home in your heart at all…”
Huo Suo had been running around for several days without closing his eyes, having just gotten off the plane 40 minutes ago.
He had been opening up markets overseas for over a year. If it weren’t for the place where he was staying being rolled into a local armed conflict, Huo Suo wouldn’t have returned so hastily.
Hastily was one thing; after all, the international business situation is closely linked to the battlefield, and it was not something he, a merchant, could control.
So President Huo said, having finally found some time, let’s see what his obedient high school nephew has been doing lately.
Who knew Assistant Qin would immediately tell him with a “grieving” look: “The young master sneaked off to the pool hall and was cornered by some punks.”
The pitiful President Huo rushed over to rescue him without even changing his clothes; his body seemed to still be permeated with the smoke of war from the air. At this moment, he was feeling dizzy from Huo Sicheng’s noise and was furious: “Get lost.”
In the minute that Peng Jia was stunned watching the school bully change his face—the familiar suit, the familiar legal team had already controlled the yellow-haired man and his group.
The atmosphere became exceptionally stiff; besides the rock music used for background, almost no sound could be heard.
“This time it seems like a real big shot has arrived…” Wu Shan muttered, dumbfounded.
This man was different from the nouveau riche he had met before. Compared to a bright red supercar, he was like a valuable and low-key classic car, belonging to the kind of century-old collection that is hard to see even if you have money.
Zhou Zhan watched the fun and clicked his tongue: “Truly family.”
In all fairness, Huo Suo and Huo Sicheng didn’t look alike, but in the way they spoke, they both shared that side that made Zhou Zhan repulsed.
For example, right now, the valuable classic car asked about what happened in a polite and gentlemanly tone, but in reality, his pale-green pupils didn’t focus on anything. Behind a skin of friendliness that he thought was well-hidden, he revealed a sense of weariness and condescension: “It takes me to come out to settle such trifles.”
Unfortunately, Zhou Zhan felt that he had been classified as one of those “trifles.”
“You, cough… who are you!” The yellow-haired man was shocked for a long time, and it took a while before he cleared his throat, raising his voice to try to regain his ground.
Huo Suo had clearly passed the age where he needed to introduce himself and gave Assistant Qin a light look.
Assistant Qin immediately led the lawyers to the yellow-haired man.
Zhou Zhan raised an eyebrow and watched for a while; under the noisy music, he could only hear a few words: “Sue… warning…”
It was the first time Wu Shan had seen such a battle, and his heart was drumming: “Oh my god, they wouldn’t sue our shop too, would they?”
“Not likely.” The moment Zhou Zhan saw Huo Suo, he sorted everything out from beginning to end and said calmly, “They were settling a private grudge; the security at the door already stopped a few, and the people are almost evacuated…”
Before he could finish, a siren sounded.
Zhou Zhan paused, then curled his lips, and added: “Also called the police, don’t worry, we have already fulfilled our duty to ensure safety.”
Wu Shan didn’t understand the mystery, just scratched his head.
This kid Zhou Zhan has been bright since he was a child; if he says there’s no problem, there should be no problem, right?
