Did the Top-Ranked Girl Get Exposed Today? [HoloVerse] - Chapter 26
“Who agrees and who opposes?”
Aside from Returning Home Guild’s trio, everyone else raised their hands in agreement.
Di Xiang: ?
Xian Yunn blew dust off her nails. “Every time you party with us and we roll for gear, your dice never go above sixty.”
Wang Mo put away her bow and nodded in agreement, adding, “And I saw you hit the 250-pull pity in the gacha, only to get a Frostmoon Fox, but I remember you saying in the group chat you wanted the other mount.”
Danhuang Liuxinbao patted Di Xiang’s shoulder, meeting her silent gaze. “You belong at the same table as those two unlucky souls over there.”
Bu Ranchen released Wan Liuyun, and the two looked up from each other’s embrace, opening their arms to Di Xiang from left and right. “Come on, join us!”
Di Xiang: “…”
Di Xiang: “………”
What do you do when you have friends who love to call you out?
Danhuang Liuxinbao could tell exactly what she was thinking behind that expressionless face and grinned, patting Di Xiang’s shoulder again. “Of course, you forgive us!”
After the banter, the group curiously crowded around Di Xiang as she opened the treasure chest.
“I remember last time she opened a bunch of junk!”
“Nonsense, those were breakthrough stones!”
“But she’s already max level, aren’t breakthrough stones just like junk then?”
“You might have a point there…”
Chirp chirp, chatter chatter.
A vein throbbed on Di Xiang’s forehead as she swore to herself that next time, she’d dock 250 gold from the pay of these three troublemakers.
A flash of golden light erupted as the treasure chest opened at Di Xiang’s touch. Suddenly, thousands of stars materialized in the air, swirling around the group, revealing their true forms as everyone reached out to touch them.
Beneath each glittering star lay materials and treasures that were priceless in other dungeons.
Xian Yunn went wild with excitement, chasing after a stubborn star that refused to land, with Wang Mo right behind her.
“I see it! That’s the Golden Feather Bow, the divine weapon from Celestial Feather!”
“Xiao Mo, if I catch it, I’ll take down Di Xiang for you!”
Wang Mo laughed, running along with her, unable to hide her amusement. “Deal.”
Meng Zhongren, however, was more interested in the rare herbs that appeared. She had been quiet all along, but her eyes lit up when she spotted the herbs she wanted.
Kang Kai and Zhi Ge switched sides to follow Wan Liuyun, watching as the brightest star closest to Di Xiang descended into her palm and transformed into a longsword.
Wan Liuyun hadn’t been interested in others’ loot until she caught a glimpse of that sword. Her calm expression shattered instantly.
“The Crescent Moon’s former primary weapon, Long Night’s Endless Darkness?!?!”
“You pulled your rival’s weapon out of a chest!!?”
Her voice cracked with shock, drawing everyone’s attention to the sword in Di Xiang’s hand.
The blade seemed forged from frozen moonlight, its entire body a translucent ice-blue that emitted a hazy, azure glow in the darkness, as if a sliver of stubborn crescent moon were sealed within its edge. Near the hilt, it deepened to a near-black navy, with intricate star-trail patterns etched along the spine. When the sword moved, these patterns shimmered with firefly-like glimmers, as though constellations were being drawn by the blade’s edge.
As the pale blue blade swept through the void, it seared a fleeting silver scar into the surrounding darkness.
This was the former primary weapon of the Crescent Moon, Long Night’s Endless Darkness.
Wan Liuyun did not hesitate and decisively spoke: “Two million five hundred thousand gold, will you sell?”
She asked Di Xiang.
Emotionally, the dungeon was cleared in one go after Di Xiang joined with the strategy; logically, this sword was indeed dropped by Di Xiang, who had always been notoriously unlucky.
As she had said, her luck seemed to have improved lately?
Wan Liuyun offered a high price of 2.5 million gold, which converted to real-world RMB was 250,000.
But for players like Di Xiang and her, who were heavy spenders, this amount was merely a small sum.
She quickly realized that the other party was not an ordinary player from her previous dungeon runs but a figure who had long occupied the top spot on Celestial Feather’s leaderboard, alongside Shang Xianyue.
The other party was not short on money.
Wan Liuyun felt a bit nervous inside. She had a premonition that if she could exchange her main weapon for “Endless Night,” the top position on the Sword Dream leaderboard would undoubtedly be hers from now on!
“Di Xiang, I know you don’t need the money, but there’s no reason to turn down money that comes your way, right?”
Wan Liuyun tentatively negotiated with Di Xiang: “Name your price, I can afford it. You’re from Celestial Feather, and this Sword Dream weapon is useless to you anyway. Why not do a good deed and sell it to me, rest assured, the amount will definitely satisfy you!”
Di Xiang toyed with the cold, long sword in hand, lost in thought.
Kang Kai and Zhi Ge had also been quite tempted by this weapon, but they immediately backed off upon hearing Wan Liuyun’s offer.
They couldn’t compete with the heavy spenders.
Danhuang Liuxinbao was also curious whether Di Xiang would agree.
Wan Liuyun was hopeful, but then she saw the other party shake their head: “I only want this sword; you can divide the rest of the items among yourselves.”
Wan Liuyun: ⊙︿⊙
“No way…”
She weakly knelt on the ground, reaching out as if grasping for her seemingly unattainable dream of being number one on the leaderboard: “I can’t compete with those maniacs anymore…”
Xian Yun was happy and elbowed the Wang Mo beside her: “That feather bow is definitely yours now.”
Except for Wan Liuyun, who had lost her beloved sword, everyone else was quite pleased.
An announcement sounded, and as the third team to clear the new dungeon, they made it onto the world channel.

…
After exiting the world channel, Wan Liuyun felt refreshed and in high spirits, having just shown off a little.
The group prioritized distributing loot based on needs, and for the remaining items, they either rolled dice or played rock-paper-scissors to decide who got what, each relying on their own luck and skills.
Danhuang Liuxinbao happily gathered a pile of rare gems and fused them into his weapon. Without looking up, he called out to Di Xiang, who was about to leave, and asked, “Did you manage to take on a disciple?”
After receiving an affirmative reply, Danhuang Liuxinbao kindly asked, “Has she joined a guild yet? Should we invite her to Returning Home Guild?”
“I’ll ask her.”
Di Xiang opened the private chat and sent a message to her disciple, who was miles away.
[Private Chat]
[Master] Di Xiang: What are you doing?
Feng Xiaoxiao looked up just in time to see Tian Ci standing at the entrance of the clinic, only to find out she had missed her target. The medicine apprentice informed her that Hua Yue had left two days ago to further her medical studies at the Yueshi Sect.
Tian Ci couldn’t believe it. In the pouring rain, she dashed toward the street leading out of the city. Feng Xiaoxiao patted the Frostmoon Fox beneath her, signaling it to quickly follow.
The fox was reluctant but gracefully leaped over the rooftops, trailing behind the sprinting Tian Ci in the rain.
Feng Xiaoxiao took a moment to reply to Di Xiang.
[Private Chat]
[First Disciple] Xiaoxiao Yue: Watching some gossip.
[First Disciple] Xiaoxiao Yue: [Image]#
Di Xiang opened the image sent by Feng Xiaoxiao and noticed the perspective was a bit odd, it looked like a photo taken from mid-air, looking downward. In the picture, an NPC named “Tian Ci” was running frantically in the rain.
Di Xiang: ?

Though Feng Xiaoxiao couldn’t resist teasing, her hand was honest as she clicked the join request. The other side approved it almost instantly.
