- Chasing My Husband! The "Crown Prince" of the Beijing Circle Is Wildly Unruly!
- Chapter 105 - I Definitely Like You, Don't Be Sad
In his internal struggle of anxiety, Qian Siyue ultimately did not mention his company’s troubles. Instead, he waved his hands and said with absolute sincerity, “I am praying with all my heart for Mr. Wang to wake up soon.”
Lu Jingze clasped his hands together and replied sincerely, “Thank you. If you face any difficulties in the future, you can seek out He Zheng.”
With that, Lu Jingze stopped looking at him and followed the guiding priest toward the main hall for the ritual. Qian Siyue watched Lu Jingze’s thin silhouette and let out a long sigh. “Ask the world what love is… even I want to be in love now.”
After much hesitation, Qian Siyue contacted He Zheng. As it turned out, Lu Jingze had already spoken to him in advance.
He Zheng agreed to help readily. “President Qian, President Lu has already given me the word. Your project will not be affected in any way. Furthermore, the Lu Group has a similar project coming up; you are more than welcome to bid on it.”
Qian Siyue felt as if a massive pie had fallen from the sky and hit him right in the face. He thanked him profusely. “Thank you for Master Lu’s favor, and thank you, Assistant He.”
“You’re too kind, President Qian. I’ve heard about your care for Zhao Yan. If you have any questions you don’t understand, feel free to call me anytime.”
Qian Siyue realized that the best thing he had ever done in his life was genuinely praying for Wang Xinghe to wake up.
The news of Qian Siyue’s good fortune spread like wildfire through their circles. Small and large companies affected by the fallout began to follow suit, seeking the “Crown Prince’s” forgiveness through acts of devotion. Miraculously, as long as it wasn’t a matter of fundamental principle, Lu Jingze was indeed willing to grant a second chance once he heard of their prayers.
The word spread completely: the line of people offering Longevity Tablets for Wang Xinghe became endless.
Spring faded into summer.
Lu Jingze lay on Wang Xinghe’s hospital bed, gently holding him. “Brother, when will you be willing to open your eyes and talk to me…?”
Exhausted, Lu Jingze fell into a deep sleep while holding the thin Wang Xinghe. He didn’t notice Xinghe’s fingers tremble or his eyelashes flutter.
Slowly, Wang Xinghe opened his eyes.
The first thing he saw was the white ceiling and the faint, clean scent of lavender in the air. He felt a bit dazed, a bit lost… He had been walking in the darkness for a very long time.
At the end of that darkness, he had seen his parents. They were as they had always been—loving, holding each other close. They waved to him. “Xinghe, you silly child, what are you doing here? Go back quickly.”
Wang Xinghe hadn’t seen them in years and tried desperately to chase them. “Mom, Dad! Where are you? I want to go with you!”
But they shooed him away. “Silly boy, it’s not time yet. Go back, don’t let that child’s sincerity go to waste.”
After they vanished, the world went dark again. He asked into the void, “Mom, Dad… who are you talking about? Whose sincerity should I not waste?”
No one answered. There was only endless darkness. He walked for a long, long time until a tiny speck of light appeared. He ran toward it frantically. More and more sparks of light gathered, surging toward him. After a flash of blinding white, he opened his eyes.
For a moment, he was slow to realize who he was or where he was. His legs felt tight, bound by something, and there were clips on his fingers. Most notably, he felt someone’s arms wrapped around his waist.
Weakly and with great difficulty, he turned his head. He saw a thin, deep-featured, but exceptionally handsome face fast asleep next to him. Wang Xinghe froze. His brain couldn’t quite process it—Who is he?
Before he could figure it out…
Clatter— something hit the floor.
Then came the sound of a woman crying out in excitement: “Xinghe! You’re awake! Xinghe… wahhh…”
Wang Mingyue’s crying and the sound of the dropped lunchbox jolted Lu Jingze awake. He sat up abruptly, propping himself up to look at Wang Xinghe.
In an instant, Lu Jingze’s eyes turned red. Tears flowed uncontrollably. He covered his face, his shoulders shaking as he sobbed with a relief he couldn’t suppress.
“Sister…” Wang Xinghe’s voice was raspy. He looked at the man and asked in confusion, “Who is he…?”
Lu Jingze froze. His sobbing stopped instantly.
After a thorough examination, the doctor spoke: “There are no issues with the brain. It should be a case of transient amnesia due to the prolonged coma. He might recover his memory slowly over time.”
Hearing it was only temporary, everyone breathed a sigh of relief.
Wang Xinghe was very quiet after waking up. He looked at his weeping sister and lowered his eyes. “Sister, have you forgiven me?”
Mingyue’s eyes widened, and she cried even harder. “It’s you who should be forgiving me…”
Through careful questioning, they determined that Wang Xinghe’s memory had stopped at the year his parents passed away. That trauma was so deep that even with amnesia, the pain remained forcefully etched in his mind. He couldn’t forget it. He had forgotten Lu Jingze, but he hadn’t forgotten the shock of his parents’ death.
Lu Jingze wasn’t sad or angry. To him, the fact that Wang Xinghe had woken up was a mercy from Heaven.
Two days passed, and Wang Xinghe was able to eat some liquid food. Lu Jingze held a porcelain bowl, carefully and piously scooping a spoonful of porridge, blowing on it until it wasn’t hot before offering it. “Brother, open up.”
Wang Xinghe’s face flushed. He waved him off. “No need. I’ll do it myself. This is a bit awkward.”
Lu Jingze looked at him and smiled softly. “It’s okay, Brother.”
Unable to win the argument, Wang Xinghe opened his mouth. The warm porridge felt soothing against his stomach.
At dawn, Lu Jingze pushed Wang Xinghe in a wheelchair for a stroll through the hospital garden.
After much hesitation, Wang Xinghe finally asked, “Lu Jingze, how long have we been together?”
Wang Xinghe had accepted the fact that he was “out of the closet” quite calmly. He really liked Lu Jingze’s face. Even if he wasn’t born gay and forgot what had happened in between, he felt that if someone like this was interested in him and was a bit persistent, he probably really would have agreed.
“By winter, it will be three years,” Lu Jingze said with a tender smile, brushing a stray leaf off Xinghe’s shoulder.
Wang Xinghe felt a bit sad. “I’m sorry I forgot you. But I definitely like you, so don’t be sad.”
Light shimmered in his tea-colored eyes as he gently grabbed Lu Jingze’s wrist. “The first thing I saw when I opened my eyes was your face, and I liked it. I don’t remember you, but the ‘me’ right now likes your face very much, too.”
Lu Jingze’s lips curled up, his eyes filled with infinite tenderness. “I know. Because you once told me, I am your Venus.”
Wang Xinghe’s cheeks turned a brilliant red. For an art student, the significance of Venus was profound.
Lu Jingze knelt before the wheelchair, took Wang Xinghe’s hand, and pressed a kiss to the back of it.
“Wang Xinghe, for me, it was also love at first sight.”
“Meeting you is the greatest reward Heaven has ever given me. I am willing to spend my life doing good deeds, serving my country and its people, in exchange for your peace and joy.”
“Lu Jingze is willing to offer his fortune, his effort, and his everything to accumulate blessings for you.”
“May we grow old together in this life, and may our souls find each other in every life to follow, never to be parted.”
The first light of morning filtered through the emerald leaves, casting a sacred, clean glow upon them. It was as if Heaven and Earth themselves were bearing witness to this great vow.
